Murder Game XV: Civil War

Makoto was thankful for the help on his end, though he hoped they could resolve their difference and unite once their tasks were over. In any case, they were going to have to navigate the desolate halls of the Coalition facility, ravaged twice over by the explosion and now Umbrella's takeover. Makoto worried now that these events would cause an inevitable turning point for the Coalition. A turn for the worse, inevitably, as the destruction alone was doing to force the organization into a corner they would not be able to easily escape from.

A central hallway connected the various sections of the headquarters, though Makoto's group had to branch off from Kyoko's in order to reach the Security Station. They did not run into any Umbrella operatives along the way, which suggested to Makoto that Umbrella was currently working with a bare-bones crew. It would have explained their great lengths of keeping the Coalition members under sedation.

The Security Station was mostly as Makoto remembered it, though the checkpoint was left unmanned, leaving anybody to wander inside. Makoto expected guards on the inside, but instead only saw the strange sight of a contraption having been erected in the center of the room. At the center was a large glass cylinder. Tall metallic walls had been set up to the left and right of it, dividing the room into three.

In the cylinder, suspended in water, was the Scarlet Witch.

Makoto let out a gasp at the sight. "Everyone... we have to get her out somehow!"

As Makoto stepped forward to take a closer look at the woman, a red light began to emit from above. Electricity coursed around the base of the cylinder, disturbing the water inside and causing Wanda to cry out in pain. Her muffled screams accompanied a strange development, as a red energy began to grow at the sides of the room.

The twin energies then shot out, threatening to impact the group from both the left and right.

Saber went for a more direct approach, charging and seeking to slash down at the barrel of the secondary beam weapon in an attempt to destroy it.

The beam's combined and slammed into Bekka's sword, pushing on her with great force. The sword was stronger, shattering the beam, but the outward force of the energy would slightly burn at Bekka's arms, despite her superhuman durability.

Saber's attack would destroy one of the cannons, but others took its place, revealing themselves from panels in the wall. Shepard yelled out, "Break the glass!" She began to run toward it to slam into the Wanda's prison, but electricity shot out from its base and knocked the woman back. She yelled out in pain as she flew through the air, but went silent once she slammed into the ground.

Lois would through Shepards shouting aim her powers at Wanda's prison and fire away a heavy torrent to shatter her prison and hopefully end this barrage.

Siding with Makoto's group, Wynne stood tall as she look at the young man.

"We must make haste. The longer we wait, the more dangerous this mission becomes. Finding Ilona is first and foremost, however, I must admit. The fact no of us has seen Wanda in awhile? It.....troubles me. Such a power mage in such a weakened state as she was, it worries me. The corner rat will do anything to escape the cat. Especially if it not of its senses."


Wynne's words hinted at some sort of fear she had as her eyes ceiling, a sigh escaping her mouth.

Miko's ideals deadset, the scarlet haired woman had regathered herself while she moved silently to join Makoto's group with a feeling of dread overhanging her. She was still tired from the aftereffects of her earlier rumble road. And it showed, with low pants escaping her at times. At carrying her along in the middle of the group with little effort in response as she focused merely on keeping up for the moment.

Similar to how the others had reacted towards the development concerning the red energy beams, Elesis proceeded to try and block said beams with her sword. She knew it was going to hurt to try and do so, but as how her relationship with the Dark El inside of her body works, the Crimson Avenger only gained strength through pain...

Almost like her phantom's words were perfectly timed, Shepard's words proved the point that the voice in her head had stated.

You hear that? That's your cue! Go and break that poor unfortunate woman out!

While Elesis didn't want to resort with breaking someone out with brute force, it was becoming aware that it was the plausible option here. Moving out of her defensive stance, she made a shallow cut on her arm, letting blood pour out at a steady pace. Swinging her arm towards the glass cylinder, the blood flung in that direction was the setup the Crimson Avenger needed. Tracing through the thin path of blood, it appeared like Elesis had moved at a lightning fast pace, allowing the fallen knight to gain the momentum and force to swing her sword at the glass cylinder.

The others had the prison covered, so Saber Alter moved onto the gun barrels and defense, planting herself to defend Bekka and Elesis. Along Excalibur-fake, black flames rippled as the swordswoman opted for ranged attacks to disable as much of the wall as she could, while blocking whatever beams she could. Whether by sword or armored body, she took her charge seriously.

Back in the prison section, Lucifer finished stacking the fallen into a new cell, down at the far end. It wasn't much of a hiding spot, should enemies come looking but at the least, hopefully it would delay them. Who would think to search in other cells? Qrow, Astaroth, Nemo, Jak...And he wasn't sure who this one was, but nevertheless he would be placed in gently in turn. Which brought the question of Handsome Jack.

Leaving him to wake up in the cell would be a bother. So he had to think of something to keep him calm and unable to go help any enemies. So after a moments consideration, he scowled.

And bit down on his shoulder.

Enough blood drained to keep him from running or waking up, though not to the point of danger and he'd lock the cell behind him.

A moments consideration and he did the same for the victims of the illusion as well.

NOW he could leave and turning to go, full to the brim with new power he fled silently away from the cell block.

As the others seemed cautious with their attacks except for Mason, Shizuo wasn't one for subtlety. As Mason threw up his barrier, the bartender was jumping forward, charging at the man who seemed to be in charge while grabbing one of the examination tables and swinging it like a club.

"HEY, ASSHOLE, THINK FAST!"

The challenging roar was all the warning the bastard would receive before the makeshift club came in to slam into his gut if he didn't move fast enough.

Toboe's illusionary disguise fell as he stood, ready to pounce on any of their enemies if necessary.

Once Mason and Shizuo attacked Toboe would follow with a snarl, charging forward before leaping through the air in an arc as he sought to sink his fangs into the blonde brute's shoulder! He hoped that his weight would be enough to knock the Umbrella soldier onto the floor at least.

Slamming his palm on his face, Kido comments, "no stealth, huh? Alrighty then..."

He prepares the dagger provided by Mason for combat, then strikes a pose as an odd, humanoid aura appears behind him. Kyoko would get a feeling of deja vu should she look at it.

"Impossible, impossible, impossible, impossible..."

With that, Kido releases melodic tunes directed at the odd, supposed blonde enemy man, in an attempt to make him drowsy or put him to sleep.

"... not impossible enough..."

Madoka, on the other hand...

"They have lost the element of surprise, but we haven't... Zen, get ready."

Madoka looks at Mason's provided aura dagger, then continues to hide.

"I have doubt that it'll be that easy."

"Well, hopefully that'll handle him..." Zen murmured, watching the examination table fly across the room as if it had wing, and a giant wolf lunge towards the stranger. But they didn't know what sort of person he was - what if he could take it? He readied his handgun, "I'll back you up, Madoka PD-ssii~"

Darn it. The enemies seem to be in the room. With Zidane carrying the now unconscious Bibi, he wasn't sure if he should make a move. He gestured at the dagger strapped on his side towards everyone else, signaling that they can borrow it in case if they need it.

Zen had quietly followed Kyoko's group to the Medical Bay, keeping close and making sure not to stray too far. It would have been bad if he had been singled out on his own, he'd be beaten to a pulp! Especially since he was working for the Coalition... it was so odd to be sneaking around despite this place having once been where many people walked around freely, talking normal things and... not moving around like mice.

And now they had their injured as well. And people he recognized, but did not know personally. From the way that Umbrella member spoke, they sounded quite happy to see the resources the Coalition had - and planned to use them?

That was bad news.

But Zen wasn't the type to rush in headfirst, either. Instead, he drew his gun, waiting for someone to follow in with. If he didn't have the guts to charge in first, then he would back them up.

Mason's head, cleared up from its fog, began forming a plan. Kyoko had given the order to strike and their allies were captured within his room, therefore he had to do something to attack. He saw around him friends that he had fought with inside the illusions. Although that world had been fake, he assumed that their convictions were real. If Mason led a charge, he was sure his allies would follow.

Seeing the dagger Bibi had gave Mason an idea. Focusing his aura, he counted the number of enemies within the Med Bay and created a dagger out of aura for each. Holding them all in hand, he inched up towards the edge of the wall.

He jumped out from behind the corner and, with a single forceful throw, threw all of the daggers in his hands at once. Through the force of his powers, they fanned out and each shot in a straight line towards its target. They were almost guaranteed to hit, but not guaranteed to hit anything vital, especially on the ringmaster.

Prepared for retaliation, Mason threw up a barrier to protect himself and any of his allies as they leave the safety of the wall's edge.

Quite a few interesting things would happen when the group would rush towards the ringleader of the small crowd of Umbrella soldiers present. The examination table that Shizuo had grabbed was a decently strong one, mostly made of solid metal, but oddly enough, it wasn't enough to knock the sturdy man out, still remaining perfectly intact and conscious even after he'd be sent into the nearby wall with a loud PANG! from the impact of Shizuo's attack.

Still, he would recover fairly quickly from the ordeal, withstanding Toboe's following bite with a strained "Gnnngh!" though he would manage to remain on his feet, and more than that, Toboe would find that the man's skin was extremely tough, moreso than even a bear's, so penetrating would prove to be quite the task. Gritting his teeth in pain, he moved quickly, meaty fingers clamping onto the wolf's body and digging in to get a good grasp on him, before forcing Toboe off his shoulder. Holding him up with only one arm, it could assume that he had some degree of superhuman strength, as probably expected of a higher-ranking Umbrella member. Without wasting any time, the man would throw Toboe right at Shizuo, intending to have the wolf crash right into the bartender!

After that, he'd let out a grunt when Kido would channel his tunes, though they wouldn't be able to take much effect before one of the idle soldiers in the area would run behind him and restrain him, wrapping a lightly armored arm around his neck while the other hand held a pistol to his back.

"Well, well, what do we got here?! Some stray dogs looking to be put down?!"

"Heh. I prefer to call them reinforcements," Akiko said with a cocky grin, though still held back by her unbreakable bounds. At least she was pleased, apparently not too worried about the potential outcome.

"They're dead is what they are," the man grunted, before shaking his head to recover, "Looks like some rats got loose from the trap. But no matter. I got the perfect poison for pests like you."

Upon getting a better look at him, Kyoko would gasp softly, as though she vaguely recognized him from somewhere. "You... I've seen you before in the files. You're..."

"Jack Krauser. The one and only," he spat, moving about his shoulder in order to walk off the aching pain from Toboe's bite, "Don't know who you are, little missy, and don't care. You and the others shoulda stayed put like good little children, but that's okay. I'm good at... discipline. As are my troops. Like so."

"Ready, aim, fire!" He would exclaim, giving the rest of the soldiers the signal to open fire, and then once it was given, they would begin to fire their rifles at the group!

After that, he'd let out a grunt when Kido would channel his tunes, though they wouldn't be able to take much effect before one of the idle soldiers in the area would run behind him and restrain him, wrapping a lightly armored arm around his neck while the other hand held a pistol to his back.

"Well, well, what do we got here?! Some stray dogs looking to be put down?!"

"I'm more of a bird really," Kido says as the odd aura vanishes. "Speaking of animal metaphors, I hope you like THIS!"

Using a free hand, Kido swiftly unleashes a poster from his pockets.

"My trump card is unrivalled! Enjoying the event?"

Kido displays the poster shown to the Chimera earlier to the grunt. The poster's contents were so embarassing, the grunt would become ridiculously flustered and unnerved, thus unable to make any choices beyond being frozen in position, unable to move a single millimetre of his body, or running away with a blush on his face.
Behind this poster, however, was a hidden pistol.

Simultaneously, his other hand was unbound, allowing him to grab the gun-hand. He squeezed this gun hand tightly.

"A lot of loyalty for a hired gun. Nihi~"

"Brother! No!" Madoka exclaims with great worry! "Zen, let us hurry."

"I'm good, I'm good," Kido says.

"No, you're not. Zen, cover us, now," Madoka says, preparing to stab the grunt that attacked Kido, right in the skull area no matter what his next choice was. Her very anger fueled the aura of the dagger to the point it would be possible to pierce through the grunt's headgear.

"Threaten family, threaten me. Simple as that."

Scott groaned as he wasn't the biggest fan at being shot out. He did his best to dodge the bullets, as he thought of a plan. He decided to do one of his oldest tricks. He did his Alpha howl, hoping it would either scare the guards or at least distract them.

Quite a few interesting things would happen when the group would rush towards the ringleader of the small crowd of Umbrella soldiers present. The examination table that Shizuo had grabbed was a decently strong one, mostly made of solid metal, but oddly enough, it wasn't enough to knock the sturdy man out, still remaining perfectly intact and conscious even after he'd be sent into the nearby wall with a loud PANG! from the impact of Shizuo's attack.

Still, he would recover fairly quickly from the ordeal, withstanding Toboe's following bite with a strained "Gnnngh!" though he would manage to remain on his feet, and more than that, Toboe would find that the man's skin was extremely tough, moreso than even a bear's, so penetrating would prove to be quite the task. Gritting his teeth in pain, he moved quickly, meaty fingers clamping onto the wolf's body and digging in to get a good grasp on him, before forcing Toboe off his shoulder. Holding him up with only one arm, it could assume that he had some degree of superhuman strength, as probably expected of a higher-ranking Umbrella member. Without wasting any time, the man would throw Toboe right at Shizuo, intending to have the wolf crash right into the bartender!

Upon getting a better look at him, Kyoko would gasp softly, as though she vaguely recognized him from somewhere. "You... I've seen you before in the files. You're..."

"Jack Krauser. The one and only," he spat, moving about his shoulder in order to walk off the aching pain from Toboe's bite, "Don't know who you are, little missy, and don't care. You and the others shoulda stayed put like good little children, but that's okay. I'm good at... discipline. As are my troops. Like so."

Artyom sighed, once again, blood would have to be spilled to insure the safety of the group. Artyom never enjoyed having to take a life, but..... he paused a moment to think, why was he thinking about this now? He was in danger, his friends were in danger, he had to help, none of the group was going to die on his watch, not if he could help it.

He pulled out his Bastard gun and opened fire on the soldiers.

The glass shattered brilliantly, turning off the electricity coursing around the base and drenching Makoto in the water. He reached out to grab Wanda, his knees buckling as she fell into his arms. "H-Heavier than you look," he mumbled as he knelt down and placed her on the ground.

Without Wanda, the automated weaponry seemed to relent, not recovering from Saber's attack for the moment.

"Very interesting," said a male voice over an intercom. "We were still in a testing phase, but the lot of you have given us a lot to think about. Now, keep your eyes open--"

The two metallic walls then glowed with a blue hue, signalling the opening of large panels in the walls. Out of them came walking contraptions; robots made of metal and glass, held together by an electrical force that bounced between their limbs.

Out from their hands glowed a brilliant white energy that Saber would feel particularly dangerous to her malevolence-constructed form.

"Big damn robot!" Miko spoke out with annoyance at the mere sight of it. Time for a little dismantling eh? With her energy regained having stayed in the back safe from the previous attacks in the security station, the crimson haired woman smirked at the robots. Revving up her wheels she launched forward and into the air, insane amounts of speed to her figure as she slammed the wheels right into a blue diamond shaped 'hole' near the top of the robot, presumably where it's 'eye' would be.

Zidane hid behind a nearby wall from the gunfire. He wanted to join the battle, but he also can't leave Bibi unattended when Bibi is unconscious.

If Miko went high then Bekka would go low. Brandishing her sword the New God would leap into action by sliding under the hulking mechanical behemoth and slash at its legs with her sword in an attempt to topple it.

Seeing that the two women had everything well in hand Lois would go and check up on Wanda to see if she was relatively unharmed. "Let me help." Lois replied to Makoto as she scanned the witch with her equipment to see that there was no permanent damage.

She had no idea what that....Thing was, but one thing Saber knew for sure was that it was dangerous. To her? Perhaps more so, considering what she was sensing. The irony wasn't lost on her, that the Coalition would be fighting alongside something such as herself, facing off against her opposite in power. Well, whether holy or not? Saber knew there was only one true response.

As Miko would slam into the robot's center glass eye, its right arm moved to swat her away. The glass shattered and fizzled with small bursts of electricity. Likewise, the robot's legs were destroyed by Bekka's sword, letting out electricity that seemed to keep the contraption floating in the air.

The electricity burst out from under the robot, knocking Bekka back. Its glass indents glowed white, projecting a light that Saber wouldn't be able to cross, the light itself seeming to burn at her skin. The electricity it projected bounced across the ground, making its way for Makoto and Wanda.

"L-Lois, she won't be fine if that hits us!"

Meanwhile, the second robot as busy combating with both Jude and Leia. "It's a good thing my legs are doing better!" she yelled, a smile on her face despite the situation.

"Then let's make sure it doesn't!" Lois grabbed unto Makoto and Wanda and blasted off like, well, a tornado from the oncoming attack with the help of her wind powers.

Bekka would have been knocked into a nearby wall but she quickly recovered and with a shout she leaped with her sword poised to pierce the metallic monstrosities back.

Meanwhile, Wanda's eyes open as a magic shield protected her and Makoto. Looking shocked, her eyes darted around.

"Where are they! My babies? I-I couldn't...."

Wanda took a breath, as she seem to gain her wits.

"What happened? Where is Ilona?"
