"O-Oh... we can try out... helping there... at the Medical Bay."

It sounded like she wasn't that confident with her words, but she knew that they had to give it a try like they did the first time around with the volunteering last time. In addition to that, she overheard people idly saying that they were headed towards the storage area, which she heard a lot of people say so. Maybe it would be beneficial for everyone else on board if the volunteer work was balanced out from them all.

So it was clear what their decision was, but not long in their eventual arrival at the Medical Bay, Lauren grew immediately worried at what she heard the most.

"... i-is someone... crying?"

Just the thought of someone being all sad and crying made the girl feel worried, especially when she couldn't tell on why she heard crying. Did someone get hurt? Did something terrible happen? For sure it didn't sound like happy crying, so Lauren couldn't do much else but comment out her audio observation on this and stand there beside her cousin... worried.

Just listening more to the crying girl's words, Lauren had a feeling that her questions could be answered right away and show that this was both questions combined... that someone was hurt and that something terrible possibly happened.

All of it worried Lauren sick, and it conflicted her that she couldn't do much else but say a few passing words.

After putting away the first aid kits, Nurse Goto would turn back just in time to see Daniel state what noise had been going on outside of the Med Bay. "Wh-What?" she questioned, anxiously cupping her hands against her chest as she moved to the door and peeked out to see what he was talking about. The young woman squeaked when she would see the crying girl, a worried expression appearing on her face. "O-Oh no! I wonder what's wrong with her?"

When Christa would pat the child on her back, she slowly started to sit up. She moved to lean her back against the wall and pulled her knees up to her chest, pressing her face into them before continuing to cry. Occasionally, she would reach down to rub her left ankle. "I-I think I broke my foot," she whimpered. "John is gonna be so mad..."

Doctor Park nodded and smiled at Mika. "Nice to meet you, Mika Sikou. I'm Doctor Suyong Park, I'm going to try to help you." She said. "Now, can you list symptoms?"

To the comment on religion, Doctor Park didn't think much of it. She knew this was a cold, and not a spiritual issue. Though, she wasn't sure if the nightmares were because of some deep rooted issue. She was raised Presbyterian, so she had religion in her life. She just didn't really think about it except for prayers. "Right, Father Maish is here to help you with your nightmares. You can trust him."

Doctor Park looked towards the child. "Don't worry, I'll get you all fixed up." She said. She looked towards Nurse Goto. "Can someone who knows how to set up the X-Ray? I'll get to her in a moment." She said, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear.

Christ, today was busy.

Anna was getting a little fidgety, shifting from side to side as she heard crying in the Med Bay, it definitely wasn't a good start to the whole thing. Fortunately though, the crying just seemed to be from a child who had... Apparently hurt her foot. Well, it could have been worse, but Anna wasn't too well versed in the medical field, though on the other hand, she had past experiences with twisted ankles, and sprained joints here and there (thanks to a few instances that usually involved losing her balance on some stairs).

All the same, she realized that before she could figure out what to do with the girl, she had to hear what had happened that caused this. Though it was possible she had indeed broken her foot, Anna hoped that it would just be a twisted ankle.

"Um... Do you know what... Broke your foot?" She asked.

Oh boy, that wasn't the best way to ask that sort of question, but it was better than nothing... It seemed she still needed to work on her social skills when it came to talking, with people other than her cousin, and maybe some other family members... Speaking of which, Anna, while still paying some degree of attention to Lauren, seemed to be more focused on the injured girl right now. So well, she might not register if she was still holding onto Lauren's hand, at least not at the moment.

"The show of confidence from the good doctor is almost making me blush." He replied awkwardly. "Like I said though I'll try and help you the best I can."

Day 1: Mid-Day Update
"Trapped"

The injured librarian didn't bother to make a fuss when Matsumoto would escort her toward the Medical Bay, but she didn't seem interested in going either. "I am fine," she flatly stated, reaching up to touch the side of her face. When she did, she would notice a bit of blood left behind on her hand. She almost seemed surprised to behold the sight of crimson on her fingers, but the expression on her face was unchanging.

When they arrived to the Medical Bay, the sight of Minori and Matsumoto was enough to startle the little girl who had been sitting on the ground crying. She jumped to her feet and rushed into the Medical Bay, tripping onto the floor shortly afterwards.

Nurse Goto widened her eyes in sight of the little girl before sighing and looking over to Daren. "Y-You don't know the half of it. I don't know why it's so busy in here today..."

But despite how busy it was in the Med Bay, a certain Captain over at the Command Station wasn't all that amused. She found things quiet and rather boring. In fact, the noise level seemed to drop so low in Miss Suzumiya's vicinity that she could have fallen asleep. The only visitor they had received so far was Derek, and many individuals involved in their staff seemed to be sick or absent for the day. Either it was just a coincidence, or it was a calm before an inevitable storm.

A very bored, restless Haruhi Suzumiya paced back and forth, a frustrated scowl on her face. She looked like a volcano, ready to blow at any second. Those around her gave the young woman plenty of space, knowing it was dangerous to get in her way while she was like this.

"Man, I'm so bored," the brunette, grumbled. "Four months into this trip and on calm days like this I really just don't know what to do with myself. I'm tired of sitting around writing up captain's logs and reports. I wish something interesting would happen..."

Almost as if on cue with the Captain's words, a low rumbling could be heard throughout the ship. Suzumiya blinked and glanced to her crew, suddenly looking alarmed. "What was... that?"

"Uh, please excuse me for a moment," Daisuke said to Derek, moving over to check one of the ship's monitors. Hoping to discover the source of this strange disturbance, he rapidly typed on a keyboard, bringing up a screen that showed a live feed of outer space. "Miss Suzumiya, this is a picture of what is happening outside of Sagittarius III right now."

Haruhi rushed over to look at the screen, her eyes widening. "It can't be! That's--"

"--an asteroid field!"

"Right, and it's not just any asteroid field either. Oddly enough, it seemed to appear out of nowhere. Our ship's sensors didn't even detect it until now. It's a large cluster, and the rocks are too large for us to destroy with our phasers. We can attempt to carefully navigate through it, but this is still a very dangerous situation. We only just brushed past one and it rocked the entire ship. I don't want to think of what could happen if we actually hit one. We'll have to tell our crew to take cover. The Social Center is their best bet. It's the safest location in the ship."

The Captain nodded. "Right, I'll make an announcement."

No matter where anyone was on the ship, they would all hear an announcement from Captain Suzumiya over the ship's loudspeaker.

"Attention everyone, this is not a drill. We have just entered a dangerous asteroid field. For your own safety, it is recommended that everyone calmly and quietly head for the Social Center of the ship immediately. I repeat, this is not a drill. Everyone on board, please head for the Social Center of the shi--"

A loud rumble would cut off the Captain, and everyone would feel the ship violently quake under their feet. Afterwards, all the doors of the ship would lock, causing everyone to be trapped in whatever room they happened to be inside of at the time. The travelers would then hear a loud alarm begin to sound.

"Dammit, what just happened?!" the Captain roared, shooting a look to those around her in the Command Center.

"All of the doors... they're locked," Daisuke stated. "Its an old emergency feature set in place during the ship's war days. I-I'm not really sure how to shut it off."

Haruhi slammed a fist down against a control panel, her wild eyes emanating with rage. "Well, figure it out, you idiots! The crew is trapped and they need to get to the Social Center!"

The travelers would suddenly feel the ship rumble again. It appeared as if the only options they had at the moment were to try and break through the doors or wait for them to be opened. Once they escaped, however, everyone would need to head to the Social Center where it was safe.

As the librarian headed to the Medical Center, Cole simply nodded and looked to the others. "Good thing she's okay. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get back to work." He said before reaching for a box.

Just as he reached however, the captain's message appeared over the intercom. Without a moments hesitation, Craig made his way to the door, motioning for the others to come as well. But sadly he was interrupted by a violent quake beneath his feet, causing him to stumble back a bit. "Shit!" He exclaimed before making his way to the door yet again once he regained his composure. Once he made it to the door, he was surprised to find that it was locked. After several failed attempts at opening it, Craig turned to the group with a worried expression on his face.

"Ok, bad news. We're locked in. Anyone got any ideas? Something we could pry the doors open with? Or maybe, I-I dunno. Force our way out?"

Derek was about to respond to Daisuke when he felt the ship shake violently...what in the hell was that? It seemed the Captain was wondering the same thing.

He was surprised when he overheard the crew talking about the dilemma at hand, an asteroid field? and one that seemed to show up completely at random, how strange. When Derek noticed that the doors leading out of The Command Station had locked, and didn't seem to be opening anytime soon , he frowned, damn, perhaps getting a job on the ship was going to have to wait.

Derek shrugged to himself and sat down, pulling his guitar out, he started playing...content with waiting for the doors to open

"Well, so much for waiting for Caldwell... he's probably still in the storage! I have to get him, but first thing's first-"

Raven was interrupted by a very worried looking Princess Emily Cutt.

"Raven? What's going on? What's happening here? Are we..."

"Princess, do not panic, I will ensure that everyone in the cafeteria escapes in one piece. Not Naruto, not Bleach, but One Piece."

"But I like Dragon Ball."

"Good taste!"

With that, Raven scurries the cafeteria for some crowbars used to open crates of food.

"I could use a few extra hands here," Raven says as he attempts to use the crowbars to pry the doors open. He turns to the Tajiri brothers, his green faceplate locked onto their eyes, "I won't charge you two for door repairs, that's a promise."

His faceplate appeared to move in a similiar way to a camera shutter taking a photograph, as if winking.

Princess Emily Cutt, on the other hand, hugged her rabbit plushie Charles Donatello in fear of being locked in here forever.

"Panic is not recommended, Princess."

Anna froze as soon as she heard the announcement, but somehow managed to keep a grip on Lauren's hand, preparing to make an immediate move, that is until she noticed the doors were locked tight. As the ship began to shake, Anna realized she had to do something... Especially when she heard her cousin speak.

"I don't know... But... We have to get to the Social Center, fast!" She cried in response as she fumbled around for a crowbar, or an object like it to use.

Evidently, she was planning to use it to pry the ship doors open manually, as she couldn't afford to wait for the doors to open on their own, not when everyone's lives were at risk...

"Eep!" Uta, from behind the boxes still, let out a quiet cry, as she curled up even more.

While there appeared to be no crowbars in plain sight, Elias would see a toolbox wedged behind one of the supply crates that might contain something useful within it.

Meanwhile, the ship would shake yet again, causing another large stack of crates to topple down, possible landing right on Uta if she were not to move in time. A couple of crates shifted opened, causing a decent amount of canned goods to spill out and roll across the ground.

Oh god, what was happening? Just as she had the thoughts of pitching in her help for the injured little girl, Lauren immediately paled at the latest announcement and what was occurring soon after. She could hear the doors of the Medical Bay shut immediately with a loud bang, scaring her senseless almost.

"W-What's... happening? Why did Captain Suzumiya get cut off? ... what made... the doors close like that?"

Daniel rolled his eyes, merely holding his synthesis equipment steady as the ship lurched. As he waited for the doors to open he would continue to make his medicine despite the turmoil.

Daren looked around. Something bad was going on and right now he had to be the one to keep the peace. "I don't know, but we can't panic. I-I'm sure the captain and her crew has everything covered."

The door closing was a bit unsettling but he decided to give it a look over. "I'm sure it was just some automated thing with the door...I'm sure they'll re-open any minute."

"Lovely," Christa muttered to herself as she listened to the announcement that was blaring through the speakers. "How did you not notice an asteroid belt approachi-"

She was cut off by the sudden turbulence that shook the entire ship, causing her to nearly fall over the table that was nearby her in the Medical Bay. Luckily, she was able to keep her balance and held onto the side of that particular table, and then waddled slowly towards the door. Except the doors slammed shut way before Christa was even close to it. In these kinds of situations, she was the type to immediately grab the closest object and then hammer it on the door in an attempt to break open the door. However, since the ship was still shaking violently, stopping her from even getting a proper footing, she had no choice but to wait for the shaking to surpass and let the doors open by themselves.

Only if the door will open that is.

Shortly after Daren suggested they not panic, the ship rumbled again causing the sensitive nurse and the small child to scream in unison. The little girl scooted into a corner and tucked her arms tightly against herself, whimpering. "B-Big brother. I want my big brother," she squeaked quietly.

Unfortunately, Anna wouldn't see a crowbar lying anywhere nearby. Nurse Goto tried to speak when she noticed what Anna was doing, her teeth chattering as she did. "A-Are you looking for something to open the door with?" she questioned.

The quiet librarian hardly reacted to the others, but approached the door and gently began to examine it. "Computer locked. It can be opened with a computer," she stated.

"That captain...why the hell did we move into an asteroid field?" Huffing in annoyance, after taking the librarian to the medical bay she'd gotten trapped here now. Just wonderful. If they were in an asteroid field, she didn't have time to just be sitting around here, now did she?

Melissa moved towards the door, doing her best to keep herself balanced. "Like hell that captain has anything under control! I'm not sitting here until that ridiculous woman finally figures out how to open some doors!" Chambering her leg, she let loose a hard kick into the door.

Would it work? Probably not. But it was worth a shot, since it seemed someone else was already looking around for tools and the like to open the door with.

Raven Summersnow Slowmercury | Cafeteria
Princess Emily Cutt | Cafeteria

Thankfully, Raven would find a crowbar with little trouble. When he tried to open the door, however, he would find he didn't have enough manpower to do so. He would require more assistance from the others, or perhaps the job could be done if he were to find another helpful tool somewhere in the cafeteria that he could use...

"C-Can't... we think about this... calmly?"

Lauren wasn't sure on what to do exactly, but she didn't like how chaotic everything seemed to be going. However, she took note about the lock for the doors themselves.

"Um... is there a computer here.. for us and try to unlock the doors? We... can try..."

Luka was willing to wait for the doors to open, but hearing a couple boxes beginning to fall his eyes would snap up before going down to where Uta was. Eyes widening he would run to the girl's aid, hoping to pull her into his arms and quickly trying to scramble out of the way of the falling boxes and canned goods. Unless he was unable to, he would do his best to protect the girl with his body.

If he did get out of the way in time, he would let the girl go and help her to her feet while keeping himself balanced.

Ophelia clung to a beam to steady herself, then tried to make out what was going on. Asteroids? Locked up?! No no no...this was bad! She looked around, noticing Elias was getting ready to hunt a crowbar down. "Mister Elias!" She walked up to him, producing Prescription SM+ from her dress pocket. "This is a new pill I've been working on...I've never tested it, but I designed it to keep stamina on whoever takes it full for a whole day...maybe it'll help..." The least she could do was be useful, considering how unfit she was.

Elias turned to face Ophelia when she approached him, and was intrigued when she told him of her Prescription SM+. What have I got to lose? he thought, and took a pill from her. He tilted his head back, opened his mouth, and swallowed the pill. "Thanks."

Elias then continued his search for a crowbar, and noticed a toolbox behind a crate. He began to crouch down to get a closer look when the ship shook again, causing him to fall on one knee. He would steady himself and then attempt to move the crate in front of the toolbox and search it for anything useful.
