"So it's a skill of sorts? Hmmm" He put his hand on his chin. He has never heard of a Berserker. He looks at her. He was now even more curious. What else could she be hiding? He wanted to ask but he felt it would be rude to. "That's really cool. All I can do is. " The Batter snapped his fingers. Suddenly, three strange object appeared behind him. They sorta looked like hoops.

"These are my Add-Ons. They are a part of my soul. They help me to do many things. They help me keep my appearance. This isn't what I really look like, but I like this appearance. The Add-Ons can do damage and heal me, but that's it. They can't spew flames." The Batter moves his finger, causing the hoops to swirl around him.

Now it was becoming clear that these two had no idea on what she was exactly. Well, she had no reason to hide on what she was. It was one thing to hide what was true, different from saying things that were false, but she didn't like to hide things. It was no different than lying, according to her, and she didn't want to resort to something alike to lying.

"Well... that's my classification as a Heroic Spirit, or Servant as some call it. Not all Berserker-class Servants have the same traits as me, but pyromancy is common to most Servants. I suppose I would be some magical variant of a soldier?"

Thinking about what else to describe her role to Reiner, Kiyohime did realize that she was rather... short on a part of this status she had. It was rather embarrassing and along the lines of a miracle at the same time.

"Like all magical familiars... I need mana to do what I can, and to be regularly supplied with mana, I do need a Master to fulfill that part. It's strange that I'm around as is, normally I would've... lost my physical form and disappeared under usual circumstances. It may be that the Holy Grail is keeping me around longer than intended..."

Trailing off into saying things that would also impede further confusion, the Heroic Spirit stopped herself. They wouldn't really get to hear about the Holy Grail since it was something that even she didn't understand herself, not to mention she was summoned under abnormal circumstances as well.

"I think I've rambled a bit much, my apologies for that."

Thinking that would be enough for Reiner's curiosity, Kiyohime listened onto what the Batter had to say. Guess he was storing around some interesting traits in himself as well.

"Ah, so you have some sort of magecraft then? I don't think I've seen that type of magecraft before... but I do ask, what is your name? I don't believe we've properly met."

"Wait, so you need a Master to replenish your mana so you can protect yourself and so you can live? That seems a little bit sad that you don't have one." He then gives her a strange look. Magecraft? He did not know what that meant. He then realized she was asking his name. The Batter tips his hat up, showing his eyes for the first time since he was in here. His face looked nomal. Something didn't seem right with his face. He seemed to show... regret.

Passing through the kitchen and down the next hall, it would start to seem clear to Toffee and the others with him that the geography of the building was... off. The floor was slightly inclined and far more doors than seemed normal lined the hall. All were locked, aside from one that opened to a blank wall and another that opened to what appeared to be a bedroom.

It looked like the kind of room Wanda might have. The floor boards of the hall crack as if someone is coming your way.

Tommy appeared next to them, pointing out back toward the kitchen. "What are you idiots doing?" he asked. "She's already noticed you're gone and she's coming back."

In the dining room, Wanda let out a dismissive noise. "Yes, this is Tommy. Take him for me," she said, handing the boy off to Usami. The rabbit looked awkward now, for she wasn't much bigger than a child herself.

"O-Okay! We should get them something to eat!" Too transfixed on the boys now, Usami had totally forgotten about Rant and his desire for donuts. She did, however, let out a whimper when he walked by to knock her over the head once again. "Usami is sorry..."

Wanda seemed too vexed to even verbally scold Rant for his behavior. At least he was back in the dining room, even if he was still a menace. "Toffee, Mason, and Lola. They did not even offer me the courtesy of asking," the witch said as she went into the kitchen.

Genji didn't seem perturbed by this at all. He smiled away and gently bounced young Billy in his arms. "Neither did I," he said in response to Kyoko. "But I've had to learn, for Wanda." He looked briefly concerned at Kyoko's statement. "What incident do you mean...? Oh! Haha! Yes, of course. I have decided to settle down with Wanda. After our time in Bright Falls, it just happened... naturally. Considering my new health, I decided that Overwatch has enough men and women to spare."

He moved to sit down at one of the dining room chairs and put young Billy on his lap. The older Tommy stared at them for a moment, before disappearing in a blur. "Yes, Nono, I am flesh again. Wanda performs miracles that no other can match."

As far as T'Challa would be able to tell, the two children and Genji all appeared to be living flesh and blood. Billy walked over to him carefully and quietly said, "Hi, I'm, uh, Wiccan. I'm a big fan, but that's not really important right now..." He glanced back at Genji. "I guess she could have meant him by 'Daddy' but you don't think she might have meant...?"

It seems that Reiner really didn't pick the best of times to sip his tea, because the strange hoops that the Batter spontaneously summoned out of thin air once again left him on the brink of doing a spit-take... However, he had just enough self control to keep everything in order, and eventually he managed to calm down again.

Apparently those strange hoops were part of the Batter's soul, and helped maintain a more human appearance... Somehow this made him uncomfortable, for a reason he could not quite explain. It would appear that the Batter's true appearance was something far different than what he looked at the moment, and whatever those so called "Add-Ons" were, they certainly were enigmatic, like many things around here were...

Kiyohime's elaboration on her role as a Berserker though, seemed to explain enough for him to get an idea about what her role was... And as he suspected, it was combat oriented.

In a way, she too, was a soldier... But she required something called mana, provided to her by a master, in order to maintain her existence here. Though, oddly enough, it seemed she was sticking around for a bit longer than antipated, which meant there might be some more time for her to find a master, whoever that might be.

Yet, considering the anomalous nature of this place, he decided he'd take a risk and make the offer to be one, despite not knowing what exactly the consequences might be... But before he spoke, he gave Kiyohime a reassuring pat on the head in response to her apology, hoping to put her at ease.

"If it's a master you need, I can offer myself as a candidate." He said thoughtfully.

Despite the big risk he was taking, due to him not really understanding how mana worked, much less if he possessed anything like that... He felt a distinct need to protect, and help all the party guests that he could, a deeply ingrained obligation that almost came naturally to him as a Soldier, or so he believed anyways. After all, where he came from, soldiers were humanity's best hope, against all odds that faced them in the world they were forced to live in.

Ontop of all that though, Reiner seemed to have a bad habbit of getting himself into high risk situations, for what he believed to be the best for his comrads... Yet when the Batter mentioned being from some place far away, there was yet another uncomfortable feeling about this for some reason... And ontop of that, he could almost feel as if there was something familiar about that, something that he could relate to... Yet... He still couldn't put a finger on why...​

Toffee remained silent as he went to investigate the bedroom for anything interesting. That is, until Tommy showed up calling them juvenile names and such for doing what any rational person would do. Toffee just smiled smugly and nodded.

"Of course. We must have just.... gotten lost." Toffee replied before turning to the other two. "Mason, Lola, come on. We wouldn't want to keep our host waiting." However, before Tommy got any ideas, Toffee would hold up a hand to signal that he had things covered. "There is no need to escort us out. We have our own method of transportation." The lizard stated before tugging out the spiky object and placing it on the ground. If it worked as Mason said it would, a portal should have appeared that led back into the dining hall.

Toffee took one last good look around the room before entering said portal. Once they all made it on the other side, Toffee would pick up the orb that Mason had placed and hand it to him. Seeming to ignore all the sudden tension in the room, Toffee nonchalantly brushed off his suit and walked over to Noembelu.

"Looks like your plan failed." Toffee whispered to the former doll as he lifted a glass of tea to his lips in an attempt to hide the fact that he was even talking.

Just as Mason had said, a portal opened, leading them into the dining room just as Wanda had entered the kitchen.



Once the three of them had crossed through the portal, it automatically closed behind them. When Toffee handed Mason the orb, he crushed it in his hands and it disappeared in a puff if smoke. With any luck, the matching orb should disappear from Wanda's room as well, leaving no trace that the three of them were there. Of course, luck wasn't always on Mason's side.

Mason quickly made his way back to his seat, only to find an anthropomorphic rat in his chair instead.

"Excuse me," he said to Rant, "But I was sitting there. Might you move?"

The Batter looks at Reiner with a smile on his face. The Batter seemed a bit happy that Reiner actually gave her the offer. He would have did the same thing Reiner did, but he felt too inadequate to ask.... and even if he did felt like he could, he would want to give his friend a chance. The Batter then stopped and thought to himself. Was that what he thought of them? As friends? He seemed quiet for long time. 'Yeah I guess I would call them friends....' The Batter then looks towards the 2.



"Hey um.... do you think I can stick around with you two? You two seem really friendly towards me and I feel I can trust you. So um... do you think I can?"

Bringing her plate, the little girl wanted to know what all of the commotion was about. However, she stopped to watch the child in Usami's arms as Six was curious to see the toddler. The little girl just stood there staring at the kid while she continued to eat. Her cheeks were puffed out as if she had wanted to store the food that she was eating for later. Six then looked at Usami, tilting her head in confusion.

Rant raised a brow and crossed his arms as he dropped from the table. He had no intention of sitting there and staring at the table or getting into an argument over a chair he didn't want to sit in. Once down he rested his hands at his sides and started walking off, standing there would have been quite awkward. "There's nothing new here anyway." Rant grumbled as he walked on. Talking. Not a strong suit.

He looked for something to do, but everyone was either talking about life or what the hell they didn't know about Wanda. He crossed his arms and gritted his teeth. He turned to the rabbit and saw her holding the child, his ear lifted a little when she apologized. He turned and his mouth sorta twitched into a smile that last all about a nano second he then leaned against a wall and awaited the next event.

Tommy rolled his eyes but moved quickly back into the dining room after Toffee and the others left. He had traveled by Wanda through the kitchen, going too fast for her to see... hopefully. The woman seemed in a daze as she went to check on her bedroom, so maybe that had distracted her.

Usami looked back at Six, looking flustered. "Do you want to see him?" she asked. She took a few steps forward so that Six could get a better look at little Tommy who, in a cute fashion, reached out to touch Six's jacket. He pulled back, however, when Wanda reappeared in the dining room, slamming open the kitchen door to cause a bang.

"Did you really think I was so oblivious as to not notice you?" she asked ominously. Tommy tensed and expected Wanda to turn to him, but instead, she looked squarely at Toffee. "Was this your idea? I certainly would not expect a little girl to go behind my back willfully. However you managed to slip by me, I was told that you went into the kitchen without my permission. Do you wish to invade my privacy after I so graciously offered you rest and relaxation?"

"I am disappointed in you." The witch raised a hand, which consequently raised Toffee in the air. "And not just you--" She reached out with her other hand and pulled Rant into the air. "Why did you even come if this was how you were going to behave? I would have rather you not come at all!" Her face twitched. "But I'm glad you're here, for at least I get to introduce you to the gift. Did I forget to mention that I have a gift for everyone?"

Wanda unceremoniously dropped the pair back to the ground. "I want to be a gracious host, but you make it so difficult."

"U-Umm..." Usami nervously pointed to Phil. "This man wants a coffee, Wanda... And, M-Mister Cooper wants one with cherry pie as well. And Rant--"

"Rant gets nothing!" Wanda boomed, shutting Usami up. The kid in her arms squirmed, and Genji cleared his throat.

"But the others can have what they desire. Is that not right, Wanda?"

"... Yes." The woman raised a hand, conjuring coffee and pie for the group on one of the dining tables.

"Agreed." Black Adam murmured quietly, nodding and biting his tongue to prevent any more problem causing comments. "This is quiet the predicament we are in. I don't know what to make of her family, there doesn't seem to be anything special about them. The others seem to have mixed reactions." His tone was quiet as well, so as to keep others from hearing the two of them.

His investigation done T'Challa decided to respond to Black Adam. "For all intense and purposes her family are of flesh and blood. While I am not familiar with the man they call Genji some here seemed vexed at his appearance." What was the angle in all of this?​

"Magneto?" T'Challa asked the young Avenger. "I am not certain, but my scanning of them indicate them to be real humans." T'Challa as well was speaking in hushed tones as to not alert Wanda. "Whatever the case, it is quite clear in how she carries herself that the Scarlet Witch is not mentally sound. "​

Case in point, T'Challa thought to himself as he watched her outburst. "We are all walking on glass and running out of time." He responded back to Billy in hushed tones. "There have been far too many missteps. I'm afraid what will happen when she loses her patience utterly."​

He did not know what that meant. He then realized she was asking his name. The Batter tips his hat up, showing his eyes for the first time since he was in here. His face looked nomal. Something didn't seem right with his face. He seemed to show... regret.

"My name is The Batter.... I came from a very far away place. You might not even know about. It's a pleasure to meet you. What is your name?"

Passing through the kitchen and down the next hall, it would start to seem clear to Toffee and the others with him that the geography of the building was... off. The floor was slightly inclined and far more doors than seemed normal lined the hall. All were locked, aside from one that opened to a blank wall and another that opened to what appeared to be a bedroom.

It looked like the kind of room Wanda might have. The floor boards of the hall crack as if someone is coming your way.

Tommy appeared next to them, pointing out back toward the kitchen. "What are you idiots doing?" he asked. "She's already noticed you're gone and she's coming back."

In the dining room, Wanda let out a dismissive noise. "Yes, this is Tommy. Take him for me," she said, handing the boy off to Usami. The rabbit looked awkward now, for she wasn't much bigger than a child herself.

"O-Okay! We should get them something to eat!" Too transfixed on the boys now, Usami had totally forgotten about Rant and his desire for donuts. She did, however, let out a whimper when he walked by to knock her over the head once again. "Usami is sorry..."

Wanda seemed too vexed to even verbally scold Rant for his behavior. At least he was back in the dining room, even if he was still a menace. "Toffee, Mason, and Lola. They did not even offer me the courtesy of asking," the witch said as she went into the kitchen.

Genji didn't seem perturbed by this at all. He smiled away and gently bounced young Billy in his arms. "Neither did I," he said in response to Kyoko. "But I've had to learn, for Wanda." He looked briefly concerned at Kyoko's statement. "What incident do you mean...? Oh! Haha! Yes, of course. I have decided to settle down with Wanda. After our time in Bright Falls, it just happened... naturally. Considering my new health, I decided that Overwatch has enough men and women to spare."

He moved to sit down at one of the dining room chairs and put young Billy on his lap. The older Tommy stared at them for a moment, before disappearing in a blur. "Yes, Nono, I am flesh again. Wanda performs miracles that no other can match."

As far as T'Challa would be able to tell, the two children and Genji all appeared to be living flesh and blood. Billy walked over to him carefully and quietly said, "Hi, I'm, uh, Wiccan. I'm a big fan, but that's not really important right now..." He glanced back at Genji. "I guess she could have meant him by 'Daddy' but you don't think she might have meant...?"

It seems that Reiner really didn't pick the best of times to sip his tea, because the strange hoops that the Batter spontaneously summoned out of thin air once again left him on the brink of doing a spit-take... However, he had just enough self control to keep everything in order, and eventually he managed to calm down again.

Apparently those strange hoops were part of the Batter's soul, and helped maintain a more human appearance... Somehow this made him uncomfortable, for a reason he could not quite explain. It would appear that the Batter's true appearance was something far different than what he looked at the moment, and whatever those so called "Add-Ons" were, they certainly were enigmatic, like many things around here were...

Kiyohime's elaboration on her role as a Berserker though, seemed to explain enough for him to get an idea about what her role was... And as he suspected, it was combat oriented.

In a way, she too, was a soldier... But she required something called mana, provided to her by a master, in order to maintain her existence here. Though, oddly enough, it seemed she was sticking around for a bit longer than antipated, which meant there might be some more time for her to find a master, whoever that might be.

Yet, considering the anomalous nature of this place, he decided he'd take a risk and make the offer to be one, despite not knowing what exactly the consequences might be... But before he spoke, he gave Kiyohime a reassuring pat on the head in response to her apology, hoping to put her at ease.

"If it's a master you need, I can offer myself as a candidate." He said thoughtfully.

Despite the big risk he was taking, due to him not really understanding how mana worked, much less if he possessed anything like that... He felt a distinct need to protect, and help all the party guests that he could, a deeply ingrained obligation that almost came naturally to him as a Soldier, or so he believed anyways. After all, where he came from, soldiers were humanity's best hope, against all odds that faced them in the world they were forced to live in.

Ontop of all that though, Reiner seemed to have a bad habbit of getting himself into high risk situations, for what he believed to be the best for his comrads... Yet when the Batter mentioned being from some place far away, there was yet another uncomfortable feeling about this for some reason... And ontop of that, he could almost feel as if there was something familiar about that, something that he could relate to... Yet... He still couldn't put a finger on why...​

The Batter looks at Reiner with a smile on his face. The Batter seemed a bit happy that Reiner actually gave her the offer. He would have did the same thing Reiner did, but he felt too inadequate to ask.... and even if he did felt like he could, he would want to give his friend a chance. The Batter then stopped and thought to himself. Was that what he thought of them? As friends? He seemed quiet for long time. 'Yeah I guess I would call them friends....' The Batter then looks towards the 2.

"Hey um.... do you think I can stick around with you two? You two seem really friendly towards me and I feel I can trust you. So um... do you think I can?"

Tommy rolled his eyes but moved quickly back into the dining room after Toffee and the others left. He had traveled by Wanda through the kitchen, going too fast for her to see... hopefully. The woman seemed in a daze as she went to check on her bedroom, so maybe that had distracted her.

Usami looked back at Six, looking flustered. "Do you want to see him?" she asked. She took a few steps forward so that Six could get a better look at little Tommy who, in a cute fashion, reached out to touch Six's jacket. He pulled back, however, when Wanda reappeared in the dining room, slamming open the kitchen door to cause a bang.

"Did you really think I was so oblivious as to not notice you?" she asked ominously. Tommy tensed and expected Wanda to turn to him, but instead, she looked squarely at Toffee. "Was this your idea? I certainly would not expect a little girl to go behind my back willfully. However you managed to slip by me, I was told that you went into the kitchen without my permission. Do you wish to invade my privacy after I so graciously offered you rest and relaxation?"

"I am disappointed in you." The witch raised a hand, which consequently raised Toffee in the air. "And not just you--" She reached out with her other hand and pulled Rant into the air. "Why did you even come if this was how you were going to behave? I would have rather you not come at all!" Her face twitched. "But I'm glad you're here, for at least I get to introduce you to the gift. Did I forget to mention that I have a gift for everyone?"

Wanda unceremoniously dropped the pair back to the ground. "I want to be a gracious host, but you make it so difficult."

"U-Umm..." Usami nervously pointed to Phil. "This man wants a coffee, Wanda... And, M-Mister Cooper wants one with cherry pie as well. And Rant--"

"Rant gets nothing!" Wanda boomed, shutting Usami up. The kid in her arms squirmed, and Genji cleared his throat.

"But the others can have what they desire. Is that not right, Wanda?"

"... Yes." The woman raised a hand, conjuring coffee and pie for the group on one of the dining tables.

"Not exactly... Its more that I become a spirit waiting to be summoned again."

Well, in a way, Kiyohime disappearing is the equivalent of dying, but it wasn't permanent either. However, she froze at the offer Reiner was making.

"I mean, n-no one's offered that to me before... It's a big and important commitment... So p... please have the time to consider this, and I'll do the same..."

Kiyohime was rather surprised amd knew it was a big decision to make. So for now she only considered it.

"I almost forgot, my true name is Kiyohime... Most cases I would have to hide my name, but I see no reason not to."

Might as well properly introduce herself, it wasn't like this was the setting for a hidden Holy Grail War. Though she was silently keeping track of the other matters at hand. Whatever those people in the kitchen were thinking, they were in deep trouble in already sketchy experience.

Lies and deception

Nancy was not the brightest of individuals outside of her studies. She had been a perfect student through and through, but to read a person's poker face or change the oil of the Wheeler's car was something entirely out of her league. Still, despite all of this, the teenager knew that this Red Witch had something to do with her being here. Time and time she heard the others around her say of invites to this party, this gathering of friends and family alike. Yet, as the loner sat down at the table, the suburbia princess felt cheated and apart of something beyond her comprehension.

Catching brief gaze of one of her friends, Billy (or was it Tommy?) going off to the kitchen with others, Nancy rested her baseball bat on her lap. Tapping her fingers against the tablecloth, the Wheeler gazed at the exotic silverware and dishes before her, all too reminded of the countless perfect dinners she had with her perfect nuclear family in a perfect slice of America. In a way, she started to regret her wishes for a break of the normalcy, finding herself in very strange circumstances.

Checking her pocket for the S&W .357 "Police Special", the girl tugged at her shearling corduroy jacket, flexing her hands underneath her fingerless gloves. Deciding to be a good girl and play along, Nancy sat up in her seat, looking at the end of the table towards the Red Witch and her husband. Trying to ignore the fact he looked like one of those sci-fi movie protagonists, with the neon hair and ninja getup, the highschool senior spoke up.

"Uhh, yes. Do you just have, uhh...pizza?"

Noticing the child's hesitation to grab her jacket, Six sensed the woman from behind her. It only took one glance towards Wanda to make the little girl's face turn deathly pale. She recognized the same woman who visited the Maw and had some connection to the Lady. Wanda's appearance made Six run, hiding underneath the dining table, as the little girl saw how the woman lifted the others into the air. She did not know what strength or power that Wanda may have, but the woman did seem to have the same aggression that the Lady possessed. The little girl also did not want Wanda to recognize her in fear that Wanda would notify the same deathly figure that haunted Six. The thought of having to return to that horrid place made her shiver.

Continuing to hide underneath the dinning table, Six focused on Wanda only. She knew if she were to be near the woman while the others made her upset that lifting people in the air would not be the worst that she could do. Six would bite her bottom lip in nervousness only waiting to see what would happen.

"Hm?" Noembelu noticed something small and yellow scurry under the table. She remembered seeing Amir with a little girl in a raincoat...poor thing. She must have been so afraid. How young must she have been...seven? Eight? This kind of thing was likely traumatizing.

Still near Phil, Noembelu took a roll and buttered it, then put it on a napkin. Kneeling down, she slid it under the table. Maybe some foot might bring the little girl some comfort?​

Phil watched as Wanda lifted up Toffee and Rant and was silent. He wasn't sure what to make of what Wanda had just done, but he was glad that he hadn't gone with Toffee or associated himself with Rant. He looked as Wanda as she made him the coffee. " Thank you for the coffee and in advance for the gift. If it isn't too opposing, can I get a box of a donuts? " he said sipping the coffee. It was good. Actually, it was better than good, it was great.

He took his cloth from her and smiled. It was fine that she didn't use it. He looked down to see Six and looked over at the table and also slide a piece of meat under to Six. He could be nice, he just didn't do it often. Six kind of reminded the dog he petted the one time, it was lonely and need some love.

He looked over to Noemblu an was silent as she slide the roll under the table.

"Oh, looks like the food is ready!" Lola noticed as the provisions were starting to be conjured by Wanda. Finding her seat, Lola sat down and raised her hand.

Mason nervously took a slice of pie and began to eat it, as well as a cup of coffee. They tasted superb, but his nerves kept him from enjoying the dessert.

It seemed that Mason dodged a bullet. Toffee had been given the blame for their snooping, and Wanda wasn't currently mad at him. Perhaps Wanda thought better of him than to snoop? "Though that greedy little girl would have gladly snuck around the place had she been paid," Mason thought to himself.

Outside manipulation was T'Challa's thoughts on the matter. Every time the Scarlet Witch had become unhinged it was due to some outside force. "No doubt there is something else going on behind the scenes," He responded. "Is this something however from her past or is it something new altogether?"

Six couldn't reject Noembelu's offering, dragging the napkin towards her. Even though she had ate an entire plate earlier, she could still chow down on the extra pieces of food. The child tried to be quiet while eating as she was also listening to the conversation that Wanda and the others were having. Finishing their offering, Six would slide her body in between Phil and Noembelu, lifting her head up from the table to observe the rest of the group. Her small hand would place the napkin in front of Noembelu and a few leftovers of the roll in front of Phil, exchanging them both a smile.

Noembelu looked at Phil warily out of the corner of her eye. He wasn't trying to test Wanda, she hoped. If he did, she may need to join Six under the table.

Speaking of, Noembelu returned the smile as Six popped up from under the table. "Coast is clear," she said, folding up the napkin. Big sister instincts were kicking in, and she wanted to keep this little girl from being scared best she could. "What's your name? I'm Noembelu."​
