Yeah, don't you just remember all those times they were super helpful to the spartans? Driving off cliffs, into walls, huddling together and getting blown up... Why wouldn't you wanna be a marine?

Got it, and that is who the appearance is based on lel.
I noticed XD. Also, I was thinking that your IV and our major NPC II might be war buddies.

Because even Grunts will do their jobs better than most marines.

Lol Well regardless of what I choose, he will be a demo and heavy weapons specialist. Likely a spartan so he'll live a bit longer.

@Spectre I like your character so far, and it is the future so I'm not too sure how relevant what I'm going to say is but I have a little bone to pick...

Marines do not have medical personnel. All of their medicine is handled by the Navy, even in combat. Force Recon takes a Navy Hospital Corpsman with them into combat, not a specially trained Force Recon Medic (The Corpsman is specially trained though). Same goes for any combat or support Marine unit, they take Corpsman(that get extra training to be with Marines) and Navy Doctors with them when they deploy.

However, Navy Corpsman, especially in high speed jobs (Like Force Recon Corpsman) do do a lot of cross training with the Army and the Air Force special forces Medics. So if you want to change to a Navy Corpsman it's completely possible to keep all your stuff intact except for being a Marine.

E-5 petty Officer Second Class (Hospital Corpsman Second Class, HM2 is the abbreviation)

Okay, might be a stupid question, but I don't recall ever hearing anything specific in regards to this (least in not the games), but are the Spartans solely Navy or are they from other branches too?

SPARTANs are classified as part of the UNSC Navy.

NAVSPECWAR is their section if I remember correctly.

Same section as current day Navy SEALS, Naval Special Warfare is what it stands for.

Yeah, but they're ONI right now in regards to SSGT Traver's group.

Well, will have my guy up tomorrow. He will hopefully be the Joker of the squad.

@FrostedCaramel
Yeah I was afraid I'd get that before I logged out last night. Lol.

Its why I stated heavy wip. I am, oddly enough, aware :). My original intent was for him to just be a rifleman and not worry. Then it evolved into wanting him to go the Corpsman route. I'm writing on mobile so didn't want to spend a bunch of time scrolling about before calling it a night last night changing his service branch, or having him go through a request for release, etc. Lol

It's also great to hear that you're a Corpsman! I'll probably be changing his MOS, but if not- would you mind terribly if I bugged you via PM from time to time? I'm no EMT or anything, so would totally be portraying a Corpsman like a total amateur otherwise. I know it's all fiction- but when things get into the realm of portraying something that actually exists, I wish to do it justice.
----Edit: I've changed his background almost entirely. lol----

Well, I have posted my Spartan. Having not wanted him to drive the other spartans off a cliff, I decided not to make him a marine.

@Spectre did you go back through my posts to find my ODSTs unit or did you just get lucky and choose the same one?

Your ODST is going to meet Valarie and be like "This is not an Emotionless person. Maybe not all Spartans are Awkward and Emotionless killing machines."

And whoever meets Scorch will just think that all Spartan's are dorks.

The old man gives his look of disapproval on your Shenanigans.

If she gives your SPARTAN the light of day, maybe. But all the information from the original programs is out to the public, she knows the shit they pulled and now she finds herself working with them.

One person may find it hard to change a deep-seeded bias.

@RedArmyShogun and whose shenanigans would those be?

Meanwhile the two officers and their AI will just be like "What the hell is going on?"
