Personality - Avalon is stubborn, controlled, harsh and critical. She isn't likable and keeps to herself. She is confident and isn't afraid to say what she thinks. She is clever and sneaky, usually able to get away with things. She is over protective of her little sister and doesn't want anyone to mess with her. Avalon might only be eighteen but she acts older. She grew up fast and is more mature than most.
Likes - Reading, the dark, being alone, the cold, physical activity, challenges
Dislikes - Heat, social activities, water, cats, being sick, whiny people
Hobbies - Reading, running, and hand to hand
Strengths - confident, self reliant, intelligent, strong

Appearance - Avalon is a tall willowy woman standing at 5'8. She has long legs and a slim torso. She has stormy grey eyes and long blonde hair.

History - Avalon's mom died at birth. Her father raised her until she was two, then he met a woman who didn't like that Avalon had powers. Avalon was introduced into the foster system. Avalon had now will to fight. She bounced from home to home rebelling whenever she could. Avalon always kept tabs on her father and the family. When Avalon turned ten she found out she has a six year old little sister who was showing signs of having Powers. Avalon knew her sister needed her help. Avalon watched and waited, she befriended Willow, her sister. She kept discreet and her father and step mother didn't find out until Avalon turned fifteen and Willow turned eleven. Willow was unable to control her powers and they blamed Avalon. Willow and Avalon were separated in the system. Once Avalon turned sixteen she stole Willow. She couldn't keep hiding and controlling her powers was harder and harder. Avalon agreed to go to the school for Willow's sake.

Personality - Willow is a soft, caring and warm little girl. She lives with her head in the clouds. Willow thinks the best of everyone and makes friends easily. She is seen as a puppy, following others around.

History - Willow has spent her whole life hiding her powers from her mother. One day she lost it and was abandoned by her family. It wasn't until she turned 12 that Avalon stole her from her foster home and they made a run to the school.

Personality:
Rene looks a bit unapproachable on the surface, but he is actually an incredibly warm and compassionate guy. He often feels the need to fight for the little guy and hates bullying more than anything. His history is full of fistfights, but they were all either from attempts to help someone else out who was being bullied or for self-defense. His outlook on life centers on the equality of people no matter who or what they are. Rene is hesitant and unsure with his abilities only because he fears the damage he is capable of. He's kind of a teddy bear when you get to know him. Even with his stoic and sort of scary face, he's gentle and can be affectionate when shown affection first.

Rene has sharp features. His hair is black and messy - most of the time hanging over his face to shield his emerald green eyes – which normally look as if they are bored and angry at the same time naturally which he can't help. He stands at 6'2" and 190 pounds. He's very lean from sporting activities which makes him look lanky under his clothes. Rene is typically spotted wearing jeans and some sort of bleak-looking novelty t-shirt or plain t-shirts/long-sleeved shirts.

History:
Rene is from France originally where he attended a private school. His parents were considered well-off and he is an only child which allowed him to obtain a high level of education. His powers manifested at the age of twelve. Back home, he tended to get into fights here or there and still gets into an occasional brawl. The idea of weaker people being bullied is a pet peeve of his and typically causes him to step in. His dire need to 'stand up for the little guy' – his life mentality – got him into many fights that were not his own. His abilities were rarely used in these fights as he was always too worried about going too far and hurting someone – but they were used when really needed.

When he received his letter, he was still shaky on the full capabilities of his power, so he decided that learning how to control it better should be the next step before he ended up doing something he would regret. When he does use his abilities, he has a hard time holding back and his power rushes out at once. His first three years in Celsius has helped with his control problem and he is much more stable this year. Rene has been in the States for quite a while and even though English is his second language, he is entirely fluent since he has been studying it since primary school. He still has the slightest of accents when speaking in English, but it does not mar his words or pronunciation too much.

Personality - At first, when he meets a person he tends to be shy. Then, when you actually get to know him better he becomes more open. He's a generally happy kind of person specifically since he's had a pretty good childhood with a loving mother. His father's death did not affect him as much especially since he died at an early age. He likes learning new things as long as he's eaten first and he's had a good night's sleep. He does want to do cool things like learn a new language, join a sports team but somewhat fears that he's too much of a dork to really be accepted. Generally, if he talks to other people he'll try to talk to them about things that he and the other person both like so neither of them become bored. He is the special kind of introvert that sometimes just wants to be around other people but usually can only handle being around a few people. Large groups are not his thing. Maybe three people at maximum. He's a romantic at heart and really just wants love and affection and is not above reading romance novels. If someone pisses him off he will refuse to speak to them and will have an almost permanently bad opinion of them until something big happens that would change his opinion of them. That goes double for people who mock him. He's more of a gentle kind of person, and would not fight unless he really had to. He will use his words though, to the fullest.

Weakness - Nine times out of ten he is the person willing to be the taste tester even if it gets him sick. He is not strong and personally needs a motivation to even try to do something other than run that's related to a sport.
Fears - He is terrified of spiders. He also has a fear of high places (going on planes makes him incredibly anxious) and he has a mild form of claustrophobia (He will not go on an elevator at all unless he has to. He will climb the stairs, even if it makes him incredibly tired.)
Ambition - His ambition is to control his powers and maybe use his powers to help others. He wants to use his plant powers and go into food production in the future so that more families can eat healthier foods. If that doesn't work out then he could probably become a local New Age herbalist or something of that nature.

His eyes are a navy blue color and his skin is somehow consistantly pale, even though he goes outside often to tend to his garden. His hands are calloused from working in his garden. He likes to dress casually with jeans and a t-shirt but on occasion he can dress nicely since he can actually dress himself in styles that are not garish and actually work for him. He's about 5'8 and is a long and lean type of person, meant for running and not for something like weightlifting or football.

After his father died at the age of five he starting showing that he had powers but no one really realized it was actually an elemental gift.
His mother, an avid gardener, was amazed and elated that he had powers involving plants. Together, they made their little garden at home the best and most cared for one in the whole neighborhood. His powers needed controlling though, and no one around him who knew about his powers could help him, so with insistance from his mother he went off to the academy that had sent him a letter.

(I just have one question. How does the power system work here because it's clearly not the kind of power that would be in, say, Avatar the Last Airbender? Like specifically.)

Accepted, I need to know what spot your taking in the school paper, and room 7 has spots open so you can take one. The power system is simple. Your manipulating the element to you will, for plants your controlling plants. As you progress through the years manipulating your ability becomes easier.
 
I'll change it. :D He's going to be vice-president of the club. Also I think he would just be a member of the Gardening Club unless no one challenges him for a higher position in which he would be the vice president.

Is there a seperate place for people who are accepted into the school? I'm kind of new to the group Rp of this magnitude thing and I just would like to know please and thank you.
 
There's no separate place for accepted people. There is a OOC for you to interact with the other participants.
