History:
Jack was adopted as a baby into a well-off family that gave him a solid conservative upbringing, which shows in his personality. He was obsessed with combat from a young age, as most boys tend to be. Of particular fascination to him were ninjas, and it eventually led to him begging and pleading with his father for several months to learn how to use a Japanese sword. A deal was finally reached where he would take on a multitude of extra responsibilities in exchange for the long drive that was needed to get him to the requisite dojo. He shirked not a one and skipped not a single lesson.
Eventually graduating from wooden swords, his father continued to challenge him with harder work to build his character, eventually shipping him out to the family farm for months at a time where he performed farmwork daily under the watch of the foreman. As he continued to grow into a young man, he began to broaden his horizons. He began to study in his own time how swords were made and maintained, eventually constructing his own propane forge and began to create small works of metalcraft. He also explored more aspects of Japanese culture, including music. And when he wasn't practicing his swordsmanship or doing any of these, he would spend long amounts of time trekking through the backwoods country.
It was here where he would begin to experiment with the abilities he'd somehow always known he'd had. He learned to compress and decompress air under his feet to increase his jump and horizontal movement, practicing on trees and steep country embankments. He would eventually work these techniques into his swordsmanship. When he finally got the letter from Celsius, he felt he had no other choice than to accept.
((OOC note)) I am looking for an 18+ female to play opposite a medieval fantasy version of this character. He and your character as well as their world will be much more fleshed out, and the story will likely take several years or more to complete. This is a personal passion project of mine. Please PM me if you have any interest or want more info.
