Ikaris

Ikaris had somehow lost track of all of his friends in the short time since the new timer began. It was a miracle that he hadn't hit a wall as he would eventually find the Arcade, looking over at the man with a ton of keys on a key ring. " Do you need some help finding your wrench?" He asked, leaning towards the man's level.

Kai wasn't about to correct the man when he said that they had been erased. It was better for him if that was what they thought. He knew that he was murdered by two different members of the group. " Well, we better find that tavern before it gets later, I need a drink if I deal with you three," he replied back to the trio.

Odessa stopped humming, "oh, so you finally noticed I was here. Don't know about you but I was definitely erased for simply not bothering to play their game. figured the whole erased thing was bullocks anyway. ya know for being doubly dead, we sure seem rather lively. How does this even work anyway?" she smirked, fully aware that she was probably getting on Kai's nerves, probably getting on everyone's nerves, "you're right though I could use a drink...."

nameri_michi.png

He remained quiet after speaking his part, doing his damnest to keep quiet as to not make uncomfortable the two people that would be joining their conversation with introductions...

But if there was something of note, is that at Saitama's mention of being a pro-hero, the boy's eyes locked onto the bald man and almost seemed to be shining. His expression was still mostly a poker-face of sorts, but barely sustaining itself as his lips even twitched somewhat, wanting so badly to start almost fan-boying if not at least act excited at seeing a pro up-close outside of a class enviroment... Calm down, calm down Michi!

After Saitama did his introduction, the tired man on the bed introduced himself as Alec, to which Michi was able to recompose enough to nod in acknowledgement. Yet he was now internally panicking even more due to having to interact with that many people (by his definition)... seeing that it was his turn so the boy softly slapped his cheeks, gritted his teeth and spoke up... at least by his standards, surprisingly loud.

"...Michi, Nameri Michi. Ta... Taki is right, we are students" Yet the lenght of his sentence was very slow... he would need more time to recompose himself before being able to speak, if the boy gripping at the hem of his pants was any indication of his level of nervousness right now.

Yet, such time was not to be taken for granted, since they needed to rest and went to do as such very fast... poor boy didn't get the chance to muster his courage.

To make matters even worse, the next event would rudely and mercilessly start up without even much of a respite... The boy literally fell off his bed when that happened, but unconsciously activated his power in the small area while in midair, sliding slightly before coming to a stop and mitigating some bits of the diagonal impact... It still hurt, but less so.

Being too used to waking up early to his liking due to UA's requirement, the boy was quickly able to throw drowsyness away due to the alarm and check the situation, only to internally grimace at the fact that they were not even in a somewhat familiar part of tokyo anymore... on top of the obvious key shortage that could lead to quick elimination and in an attempt to prevent himself from spiraling, the highschool student pinched his leg, wincing in pain for an instant before jumping onto his feet and fixating on everyone else'sz states

He did notice Alec doing his uh... power-showcase of teleportation? To which the boy could only look legitimately blankly at for a moment before shaking his head, more so paying attention to the words the university student talked about after...

"...station, good idea. Malls, they have, too many corners to search... Shrine... maybe. Theater, dark, possibly will have many... lets, go station" His words were a bit paused due to his usual awkwardness and nerves, there was a surprising amount of, assurance in his internal logic.

And considering how in all likelihood the other two would either not complain or agree (at least that was his guess with Saitama, with Taki it would be quite alright to suppose such), the group left to the train station together to prepare for the ordeal. While Michi tried to at least be physically close to Taki to supress his anxiety a bit.

Once arriving to the area, they would undestandably want to look around, yet there was a noisy individual complaining about wanting a train, and Michi carefuly listened into their conversation just in case the possibility of the key being inside of one of such vehicles existed...

Yet, just as the conversation basically finished, all of the groups at the train station were suddenly attacked by odd and weird-looking beasts which could only be recognized as one thing: Noise.

Many of them as well... Michi's mind raced while staring at the approaching odd ensemble of creatures... his hands wordlessly moving forwards if a bit slowly, adopting a similar pose to when he had stopped the shrapnel... slightly hesitating yet lifting his limbs nonetheless.

It was at the one creature that looked like a wolf. Michi's heart had been steadily filled with frustration, dread, fear and a myriad of negative emotions since this event started, feeling like he was merely a toy being thrown around.

Even with his natural meekness, there was a bit of an explosion of anger as his eyes grew from seemingly neutral to fierce, his fingers tapped together and accomodating all of the friction radious available to him, converted the air by increasing its friction heavily forming a shape akin to a wall with the power in front of his position and the wolf, starring daggers with a hint of fear and hesitation within.

Should it try to charge fast, its speed will cause it to light the air around it on fire while also struggling through the gas like it was heavy tar, truly a vicious technique of sorts when it comes to mindless creatures.

  • Pyrrha seemed to still remain down, counterarguing- rightfully- that promises could be broken, then apologized for supposedly "dragging" Kassandra and Goldlewis to the room. At this, the Eagle Bearer shook her head with a reassuring- though faint- smile on her face.

    "Trust me, I came on my own accord, so no worries. But if you keep thinking like that, you won't get far. In my vast experience, if you expect failure, you're going to end up getting what you wished for." Of course, the smile had disappeared when Aerith had told Kassandra she didn't know her, but this wasn't about Kass. At the very least, Aerith seemed to have cheered up alongside Pyrrha; the former looked a lot less upset than she had at the square during the thinly veiled extermination of the other Players, and the tears had stopped- both good signs. When the florist immediately agreed to help out Kassandra instead of simply relying on her, a melancholic smile formed on the Spartan's face due to Aerith's generosity. You're still the same girl willing to help others no matter what...

    Still, though, when she suggested that the group played a game of "Never have I ever" to know each other better, Kassandra glanced over at the time. It was pretty late, and Kassandra did plan on teaching Haru something else tonight, even if it was something trivial... But it looked like it had piqued Pyrrha's interest, and the game would potentially take the stress away from the others.

    As the Spartan mulled over the decision, it was automatically made for her: The two girls looked like fatigue had suddenly overcome them. Aerith even mentioned this before passing out on her bed without so much as a "good night", prompting Kassandra to silently nod before glancing over to the others. She, too, could feel a supernatural force attempting to cause her to sleep, but resisted the urge to shut her eyes.

    "Well, I guess that option's out of the question. I think you all should go rest, too; I have some training to do, myself, before the night's over." The Eagle Bearer stood up, taking the time to readjust some of her equipment before walking over to the door. As she opened it for herself and Goldlewis- the room's two intruders- she looked back at the others, giving them one last look-over with her amber eyes. The pain in her eyes earlier had been replaced by a look of mild fatigue, even if she was subconsciously fighting the urge to pass out.

    "I'll see you all tomorrow; chaire." And once Goldlewis left the room, Kassandra closed the door behind the duo, giving him a grateful nod for coming over to check on the others. Still, it was her time to split off yet again, and ended up wandering the hotel a little bit to see if there was anywhere decent to train at. When she found no evidence of a gym- at least, upon a very cursory investigation- she sneaked her way to the roof, where she swore she heard voices and noises indicating the place was occupied. Not willing to intrude on what was going on there, she stuck to the shadows, waiting until everyone was gone before re-emerging and pulling out her phone. After shooting a quick text to Haru asking to meet on the roof, Kassandra sat down on the edge of the roof, thinking about how lost she was in Shibuya despite the place existing in her own world. Even after all these years, I still have much to learn, huh..?

  • Whether Haru had shown up or fallen asleep before her lesson like the rest of the party didn't matter; Kassandra had a feeling she was only going to get so far in her attempts to stave off her drowsiness, so once the two's lesson for the day was over (or if Haru had passed out before meeting up), the Eagle Bearer silently trudged her way to the hotel room she'd been assigned. Since there weren't enough beds for everyone, Kassandra did what was polite and stuck to a corner of the room- leaving Room 2's beds for Haru, the other kids she was associating with, and Audric. The floor suited her anyways, if she was honest; though she'd gotten acquainted with modern comforts later on in her life, she'd spent a good part of her early life sleeping on the cold hard ground, so it wasn't that hard to readjust to a hotel room. She placed her sword and bludgeon off to the side so she wouldn't impale herself on the weapons while sleeping, then sat down in a meditative state before lowering her head and shutting her eyes. Within moments, the last Player awake had succumbed to the fatigue and fell asleep without a word.

    The alarm was... well, a surprise, but when Kassandra groggily opened her eyes it didn't take long to realize the clock had went off around the same time she usually woke herself up- around sunrise. She couldn't find Haru, so Kassandra chose to mind her own business as she took her arms up. Of course, she gave a cursory "Morning" to the other roommates, but her mind was primarily focused on the party she personally associated with; like every single otherworldly incident she had gotten involved in, people had made cliques among themselves, which was for the best. Smaller yet coordinated teams worked better than large clusters that struggled to communicate amongst themselves, after all.

    Kassandra simply remained in the background as the second objective of the week was given out. This time, the Players needed to find a key or risk being Erased- no mention of it being physical or a metaphor, so she assumed the group would have to keep their eyes peeled.

    More importantly, much to the confusion of the general group- and the vexation of Kassandra- the scene had changed altogether from Shibuya to an "Iwatodai", making all her scouting at the beginning of the Game useless. Granted, the map looked like the city wasn't as crazy as Shibuya, but it was still frustrating that she'd potentially need to learn the streets all over again- especially without Eagle Vision to plan a route from above.

    A phone buzz stopped the warrior's train of thought, causing her to open up her device to see that Pyrrha had texted about heading off to the Shrine. A few seconds later and Haru had also messaged saying she was going off to the Mall. The brunette, though concerned that her student had broken off her main group, understood why- what with the other Persona boy walking off to said area. She didn't need to babysit; they'd take care of each other, she assumed. So she decided to stick to the main party, shooting off a quick text to the entire group: Alright. I'm heading to the Shrine too. We'll see you later, Haru.

    At the Shrine, though, Kassandra ended up taking a back seat to the investigation. She stuck out way too much like a sore thumb here, what with her ancient Greek weapons- didn't need to go poking around in public, since it'd just raise questions about who she was. At least, she assumed the Players were visible to the public thanks to that business pin she spotted off to the side. This was confirmed when Hiryu was confronted by a clearly-passionate man. When the former looked like he was going to do something rash, Kassandra quickly shook her head, the message clear: Don't start a scene.

    On a side note, the Eagle Bearer had been Scanning the area the whole time- both with her innate Revelation ability, and with the special Player Pin- and nothing seemed to stick out, good or bad. So, without hesitation, she sent a text to the other Shrine-goers who were also in her party: I can't sense anything good or bad around here. If we can't find the Key here, we may just need to ditch the area and run to a new location.

    That said, the ancient Greek had kept her ears alert, and caught glimpses of what was going on with Pyrrha at the playground. Some child was upset, and the redhead was trying to comfort her. The kid mentioned celebrating her good grades with her family with some takoyaki- octopus balls, if Kass knew her culture- which was probably the best way to cheer the girl up. When Pyrrha asked about money, Kassandra internally facepalmed- they were supposed to be treating the girl, not the other way around- before stepping forwards to help out.

    "It's alright. We'll get a lot of takoyaki, and it'll be my special treat. All you have to do is enjoy it." The Spartan woman gave the girl a warm smile, before motioning for the other two to follow her.

    In reality, she wasn't sure if she also had money, but a quick check on her person found a decent-sized pouch of the golden drachmae coins she was familiar with. Sure, most people probably wouldn't know what a drachma is in this modern day, but they were gold, so it wouldn't look like she was scamming the merchants.

    Within a few moments, Kassandra had homed in on a takoyaki stand. Before stepping up, though, she poured out a fistful of coins from the pouch- about half of its contents, hopefully more than enough to convince the cook- and then placed them all on the stand counter, giving a polite smile to the standkeeper.

    "Apologies for the foreign currency, but... I'd like as much takoyaki as you have. You can keep the change; they're all gold coins."

  • Well, at least Sadie had managed to cool the hotheaded boy down. When he apologized for trying to get back to his home- unfortunately having the side effect of ruining her bluff- the cowgirl simply nodded, a look of understanding crossing her face as she did.

    "Ain't no harm done, so it's all good. You can sock whoever ya want, just make sure they deserved it beforehand. This nice guy's just doin' his job." The station attendant in question, thankfully, wasn't about to report the group to the police or something like that for "disturbing the peace"- something Sadie was almost certain would've happened if the boy's outburst happened in a shithole like Saint Denis- but gave a couple pointers. There was also a keyring behind the station attendant's window, but... Sadie didn't really want to perform a robbery. Too conspicuous, and the guy didn't really seem to deserve it; besides, there was no way the Reapers would be that twisted... at least, she hoped not.

    "Thanks, honey." Sadie decided to keep half the facade on- the polite bit, at least- and politely tipped her hat before turning away from the booth, motioning for both the boy and gamer girl to follow towards the destination board. Once out of earshot, the gunslinger began whispering to the two of them.

    "That keychain over in the booth might be the key them Reapers want. I ain't sure if they're twisted enough to do that, though, so-" Before she could finish, though, a swarm of otherworldly animals made themselves known- two birds, a wolf, and two kangaroo-esque monsters. All five of them looked like they weren't there to give the group a warm welcome.

    "Shit! I guess we musta trespassed on their territory or somethin'!" Sadie instinctively stepped forwards to put herself between the kids and the Noise, though a confused look crossed her face when she glanced back to see the boy get into a fighting stance and the station keeper completely oblivious to the scenario.

    "Get back, kid! Y'er just gonna get yourself hurt if you run at some wild animals unarmed!" What was he expecting to do, punch the creatures to death? The American woman pulled her bandana up to mask her face- even if she was pretty sure the train guy was absolutely going to remember her- before unholstering both her Cattleman Revolvers. Once another woman player asked- dumbly- if the boy could see the Noise before swiping away with some fancy bright blade, Sadie just shook her head irritably.

    "Of course he can see the monsters! He's got one of our little pins, don't he?" As Rey slashed away at the avian monstrosities, Sadie began recklessly firing- assuming no civilians were in front of her at risk of being hit in a crossfire- at the larger Jungle Boomers. Of course, this left the Garage Wolf free to run amok, but hopefully someone else would take care of that. After all, Sadie knew there were at least a couple other Players that had been mingling about a few moments ago...

Playground -> Food Cart

The little girl wiped more tears from her eyes and leaned in to give Pyrrha a hug. "Thank you! You're like an older sister to me!" She said, a large smile on her face. She produced a few bills that appeared to be lunch money or something.

When Kassandra joined and offered to buy the food, the girl would also smile at her. "Yay! Thank you so much! You're also my big sister!" She said, elated.

Upon receiving the... odd payment, The shopkeeper looked confused for a moment before counting the coins and feeling their weight, His eyes grew wide, and he placed them in a container before handing various takoyaki variants and drinks to the group. Nearby, a table with an umbrella could be seen, clear of people and the perfect place to eat.

As the group sat eating Takoyaki, the girl smiled. Birdsong was in the air, and a light breeze blew through the area. It was a nice day, all in all.

"Oh, since you're now my big sisters, you can have this." She said, digging into the backpack. "I found it on the playground earlier and didn't know what to do with it. Since you were so nice to me, I'll share it with you guys!" She pulled out... a key! It looked like the right type that was needed, containing the reaper symbol embossed on it.

Donation Box

@ThePotatoGod

A few minutes, an even older balding man in a robe came out, carrying a keyring. He grumbled a bit, and fumbled with the key in the lock of the donation box. He opened it, and several bills fell out of it, as well as coins and... a few pieces of garbage. That was disappointing. The priest collected the bills, closed the lockbox, and went back inside the temple.

The man shrugged his shoulders. "Hope you find what you're looking for."

Mall

Arcade

@LuckycoolHawk9 @udon @megar @navihime @arcade

There would be a grunt as an older man looked up from behind the arcade machine. He narrowed his eyes at Ikaris. "Yeah, that would be a big help. Thank you." He said, giving a gruff nod. "Should be in the janitor's closet." He gestured his thumb back towards the back of the arcade. "I'm trying to tighten this bolt so this damned thing works." The loud ringing of an arcade machine going off interrupted the speaking and the old man grimaced.

Police Station

@ThePotatoGod

The detective led Minako through several hallways and past a bunch of other officers sitting at their desks. He fumbled with a key in a door labelled LOST & FOUND.

He stepped aside and flipped on the light. Inside the room were several shelves, piled with boxes, contianing things from full sets of clothes, to golf clubs. There would be a plastic tub labelled keys with a large selection of them, including novelty keys, plastic keys, ones with Hello Kitty, one of those old fashioned ones, but none of them seemed to have a Reaper Symbol.

The detective appeared in the doorframe.

"Everything going alright?" He asked calmly.

"Let's start it up!" He says, as he goes to attack the other Jungle Boomer with a skateboard. The kangaroo-like Noise is knocked back by the hit somewhat. It would prepare to assault the boy again.. The first Jungle Boomer recoils from the gun and also falls back. In reaction against the attack, the wolf would jump towards Michi, only to be slowed by what looked like heat rising from the ground, warping the area around visually. It would slink back a bit, and begin patrolling around the group, snarling all the while.

Meanwhile, the Easterraven would recoil from the lightsaber, but would swoop in in attempt to take the lightsaber from Rey's hands, while the other would attempt to swipe at Sadie.

Theater

@Develius @Qiz @udon @Second2Last @bluefrostie2 @Movie Theater

After the previous movie, there was another intermission, allowing for bathroom breaks and talking and refilling of popcorn. In the hallway leading to theaters, a small crowd was gathered and a janitor stood leaning on his mop. He grumpily stared at the group that was messing up the theater. There was a keyring at his side, but none of the keys stood out

Towards the armored... cosplayer? He would shrug and shake his head. "Haven't picked up any keys lately, but I'll keep an eye out. What does it look like? Just so I know what I'm looking for."

Meanwhile, those who stayed to watch the movies would watch Lowe: The Professional, a movie about a janitor who gets confused for a mafia hitman and must take care of a child while faking his way through the motions.

"Oh no don't you bloody dare!"

Rey yells at the Noise and uses a force push to blow it away from her lightsaber and then uses her lightsaber to slice it in half as it recovers. she then turns to the man and helps with wolves by slicing into it's side.

@Minerva

  • Of course, when Sadie had told the boy to back away, he just had to enter the fray anyways. When the Jungle Boomer went to retaliate against Beat, the gunslinger had shifted her focused-fire towards the monster to get it away from its target.

    "Did I not just tell you to stay back? At least ya had the common sense to not punch them, I guess..." Sadie grumbled the last portion under her breath, though she didn't have time to chastise. Though the wolf had apparently been held back by an unseen force- Sadie couldn't tell from who or where, since she was a bit too focused- the angry birds weren't going to loiter around. As one went towards the
    woman player, another lunged at Sadie with a swipe. Since her Cattleman Revolvers were out, her mind went to one solution: Sadie turned around and dove backwards, essentially belly flopping on the train station's concrete with a grunt of mild pain. Whether this meant Sadie was going to get scratched on the back or not didn't matter; once on the ground, she unslung her DB Shotgun and rolled onto her back, pointing the 12-gauge at the Easterraven and attempting to blast it with buckshot in retaliation.

  • Once again, Hiryu's shenanigans led to...Absolutely nothing. There wasn't anything in the box after all.

    "Yeah. Sorry for being suspicious, man." Hiryu says to the man before walking over to the playground, noticing that Orpheus and his allies had all disappeared without him. He did remember seeing a little girl before going after the donation box. Did something happen to her, too?

    Either way, Hiryu sat on the swing, waiting for his group or at least Orpheus to message him.

  • Minako dug through the tub of keys. Finding a bunch of fancy ones that might look like it would belong to the Reaper's Game, but none with the symbol on it. After a while, she let out a sigh as the Detective asked if everything's alright.

    "Yes sir, but it's not here, sadly." Minako sighed, turning to the Detective. "I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Maybe I dropped it somewhere else after all."

    After being let go and she's back on the mall, Minako looked around to see which store she should go to next, and after a brief game of eenie meenie miney moe, Minako decided to take a peek inside the infamous Club Escapade.

I lean in to hug the little girl back. If there's one thing for sure, then...mission complete! I was able to calm her down and prevent a Noise attack from happening. Now, we just have to find our key and, well, at the very least prevent our untimely demises. On that note... Does our place have one, or are we gonna have to run? Well, at the very least, however, she's happy now.

"No problem~"

Oh--I forgot--Other people on our team might have money. But even then, they might not accept any of our money here...unless it so happens to be of this...Y...Y-ien currency? I'm not sure, but hopefully they do, and I don't wanna use her just to treat her out to Takoyaki.

Hey, however, it'll at least be worth a shot, so why not?

"Oh that's good!"

Speaking of which... I've never actually tried Takoyaki. Or if I did, I only tried it at least a few times when I was younger. Either way, I just hope it'll be alright.

...

Mmmm! This isn't bad at all! I don't know about them, but I would happily come back here if I could visit again. Well, that is, if we get the opportunity to... Oh well! All that's left to do now would be to savor the mome--

Huh? She had the key the whole time?! I have to let the Reapers know. I have my flip-Scroll out, and now I just have to ask...

"That's a great find! May I take a picture?"

Ikaris

Ikaris wasn't sure if the man was going to trust him for helping him, but he didn't want to seem rude. " I'm more than happy to help someone who needs it," he replied, knowing that would mean he was one step closer to life. The Eternal would notice the way the man had pointed and would head towards the back of the arcade and shout back. " I'll come back with the thing you need," he replied, hoping whatever tool the man needed was obvious for tightening.

Claudio's confusion wasn't exactly reassuring, but Rory didn't have much else of a choice than to just follow his lead. Thankfully, they still managed to find a place to eat without a problem, although part of Rory felt like they'd just gotten lucky. "You're probably gonna have to tell me what's good and what isn't. I have a feeling I won't even be able to read the menus around here…" Rory joked with a nervous chuckle.

"I will admit that that does smell pretty good, though. I mostly just eat cheap takeout and instant meals back home." He quickly added. It seemed like there were a few other Players around, whom he gave a few meek waves to. They certainly served to remind him that they were still in a game of life or death here.
