I like that idea. Long enough to know each others names (in some cases) but not long enough to know much else about the people.
I'm thinking maybe either the Pilot or the Muscle will have connections; previously conned with or conned by; maybe even just know her name and contact details, my character and after their last companion left/died/got eaten they needed her to fill in. She'd have been there maybe a couple of days so no one would know much about her yet? Anyone up for that/everyone okay with that?

More or less, yeah. I haven't actually written down any details, but I have a good idea of what I want my character to be. I was kinda set on him being a sort of aquatic person, but haven't found anything to match that. I dunno, we'll see once the OOC is open.

I am thinking my character has been with the ship for some time, enough to know the engine and how she works quite well. I am also thinking of making him a mixed breed, but I am not sure about that yet. I may just stick with alchemical enhancements.

Oh, okay. Gotcha. And I was just making a joke/referencing a thing I liked. That character died by the end of the short comic he featured in.
And while I love the picture, I was thinking something a but closer to a human's appearance. I'll probably just scrap that idea entirely though. Tomorrow night I'll be able to go online with my laptop instead of my phone, so I should be able to look through pictures without getting frustrated and giving up on page one lol. My cellphone sucks.

I don't mind being a medic but I've never played as one before. I'd probably have to research a bit for the more technical things. As for race, I would just play as a human. Nothing crazy on my end.
Maybe we could start out on a planet, down for repairs and what not, and a few characters can stumble upon the crew in some context. I.E. they're trying to escape their home life or an enemy, they're trying to find a way to make some quick cash, or just traveling to another planet but then shit hits the fan and they end up staying aboard.

My character doesn't necessarily have to be a heavy weapons specialist, just saying. Doesn't matter what he/she uses, so long as it gets the job done. Having more than one meathead around to punch guys wouldn't be unusual, if you can't think up a better role.
