Manx huffed a laugh. Modesty was never one of Fang's stronger points.

"And there's Ember who's running with us now while the Others are out hunting."

Snow just grumbled and went back to the cave.

Ember watched snow then looked over to soul keeping to herself so she wouldn't cause anymore trouble.

She watched Snow go by, sighing. She was always the...free-spirited...one of the pack. Manx nudged Ember gently after seeing the smaller wolf huddle in on herself. "Don't worry. She'll come around eventually."

"I just don't want to be any trouble. I can find somewhere else if I need to" she sighed looking at the ground.

"No," Manx countered firmly. "You won't. You'll stay right here with us."

Ember nodded looking back up at Manx "alright" she was happy that Manx seemed to want her around unlike anyone else she had encountered.

Soul stretched and scratched behind his ears before looking at Fang again. "Oh, ok... so, what's for breakfast?"

Ember couldn't help but laugh a little at how Soul seemed to not care about anything but food at the moment. She stretched, tired from walking for two days but knew she wouldn't sleep until everyone else did.

"Only you, Soul," Manx snorted. "Breakfast is postponed, sadly. Unless you'd like to share the hunting grounds with the other pack?"

fang looked at soul. "well idk hunting at this time is not the best idea. i still have half a rabbit if you want it."

He shook his head. "Nah... you eat that.. I'll go hunting, haven't been hunting in a while anyway.."

"Ok" Soul walked off towards some bushes, sniffing the air. He wondered about for a while before going into the others packs territory.

Ember yawned and decided to lay down, get over herself, and maybe get some sleep.

Fang layed down by the entrance he looked back at ember as she fell asleep. He looked back at the entrance.

Manx settled near Ember protectively, sitting on her haunches as she also kept watch near the mouth of the cave.

Name: Jera
Age: 4
Gender: Female
Pack: Star Light
Pack position: Beta
Appearance: Russet brown fur with light green eyes; sleek coat, agile build
Injuries: An old injury of three claw mark scars have healed over, leaving three white strokes of fur on her chest.
Personality: Jera has always been a bit of a noble and motherly spirit, and during times of famine, did not hesitate to protect & provide for her family. However, the Great War took a deeper toll on her than she would ever admit to her pack, certainly not to Rain. She was feisty as a pup, and as she grew older her playful tendencies landed her in some trouble, finding herself amidst a winter romance with a bachelor of the Dark Fire pack. He was killed in battle, and left Jera to nurse her wounds alone. Ever since, she's carried a more reserved nature about her.

-–---------------------------------------------

The wind filled her nostrils as she ran ahead of her clan. She had grown restless waiting at the den site, and felt joy overcome her mind as her legs stretched out. Her speed and agility had earned her the place of beta wolf in the Star Light pack. Her pack members yipped and barked as they glided through the trees, the excitement of the hunt filling the air.

A scent caught Jera's nose, and she slowed down to investigate. The smell was unmistakably left behind by a Dark Fire clan member, but Jera didn't growl at it like her pack mates would. She always expressed genuine interest in each passerby. She hated to admit it, but she still secretly hoped to start a pack of her own someday... and this scent was definitely left by a male.

Snow just paced in the cave, restless. She decided to sneak out the back entrance, one she had only found recently. She ran out towards the mountain path. She was going to bring back food.

Curiosity beckoned and Jera whined, torn between following her pack or the scent trail. Her legs were strong, and she knew she could double back before the pack reached the hunting grounds. Her resolve set, she headed off, nose to the ground and merrily padding along.

It didn't take long before she caught sight of a large, unfamiliar wolf treading through the brush. Jera's hackles rose and a low growl rumbled in her chest. She watched him stealthily for a moment, weighing her options. The wolf looked thin, but had a sturdy build. His body language told her he was in hunting mode. Something from her past made her pity him. Jera snorted the thoughts away. One wolf alone wouldn't pose much of a threat to their food supply. She would let him be for now, but made a note of his musty smell in her mind.

She peed and scrapped her paws on the ground to leave a warning scent, then turned on her haunches and raced back to her own hunting party.

((Soul, what does your wolf look like? I couldn't open the IMG link. :p))
