Lances eyes were attracted to the sword. It was glowing brightly and had a silver hilt that was so brilliant that it appeared liquid. As it was they were pretty high up on a pile of treasure, but Lance had an idea. On one side it was way to steep to climb down, but on the other side of the pile it was at enough of an angle that they could slide down. Lance sat on his butt and slid to the ground and approached the alter with the Sword. It consumed him completely. It was beautiful and magnificent. He slowly walked to it and gently ran his hand along the hilt. Then something very odd happened, the sword went from metal to a liquid, a gleaming liquid that seemed to float in the air. Lance placed his hand over it and it started to move towards his arm, it wrapped around his arm like a silvery snake. It swirled in a way that was almost hypnotic. Then Lance felt a sudden and intense pain. It seemed to bind with his skin, almost consume it. Then it molded to his arm, and then sank into it. Lance broke into a sudden sweat as he looked back to Terra.

Terra was having problems of her own right then. The jewel was actually trying to merge in her chest next to the sapphire compass! As if both gems were calling to eachother, making her shiver from agony as her head felt like it was going to split in half. Her chest froze, almost as if her heart stopped beating altogether. she dropped to her knees on a pile of coins, curling up in agony, coughing as she tried to breathe. Every scar or recent injury on her body seemed to heal, as did Lance's! She blacked out after a moment, seeing nothing but blue for the longest time. When she woke up, her eyes were glowing again.

Lances arm, the one that the sword merged with, now had a very faint silver platinum glow to it. He flexed his arm and it began to glow more. Lance wasn't sure exactly what had happened, but he knew that the blade was now one with him. It was as a part of him as his own tissue and bone. He could feel it, as if he could use it at any time. He could not wait to meet the Red Fleet now, sporting his new weaponry they would be running for the hills. Again lance looked to Terra, not until now noticing that she was also undergoing a change. Her eyes were glowing and like Lance, her scars were healing.

Lance ran to her, knelling down and scooping her up in his strong arms. "Terra, are you alight? I'm not sure what just happened."

Terras's eyes were huge as she was held. "I don't know. . .I feel weird.... " She admitted, her heart was shuddering from having too many objects adjusting inside her body. She wanted to calm down, but she was scared. Why could she suddenly feel the station, miles above them in space? Why could she sense their smaller ship blinking to life? It was as if her mind had expanded and new powers were starting to wake themselves up. She was horrified and shut her eyes tightly, not wanting to risk blowing anything up! Hopefully she couldn't do that...

Lance felt slightly strange as well, his arm throbbed and pulsed with its new found power. His head was doing loop ta loops because of the recent fall, and heart was pounding because of the treasure.

" We should take some of this, after all we found it" Lance thought about telling the good people of Restoria about this, but then thought that they already had more than enough money. Lance made the executive decision to take all he could. He began stuffing his pockets with gold coins and large jewels; Diamonds, rubies, and emeralds were the ones he went for. He also stuffed back pockets with the solid gold coins that littered the ground. After he was well weighted down, he looked around. How the hell were they going to get out of here?

Terra managed to gather up huge hand fulls of gold, silver coins, every gemstone or crystal imaginable, even long necklaces and a glittering dagger went into her pocket. "Hang on. . .I think I can guide our ship over here...." Terra did just that, guiding the ship without even having to be at the controls anymore- right above the opening of where they had both fallen. She activated the ship's long stair case, so all they had to do was walk right inside the ship without any problems! Terra was extra clever, and brought down two large, empty sacks, each as tall as their waists, then filled up the sacks with treasure as well as her own backpack! Hah, now they were as good as rich! "We should leave now before our luck runs out." She reminded Lance after their treasure bags were overfilled to the top.

Lance had no idea which wasy to go. All the passages that led out looked the same to him. He was unable to even recall where they fallen in exactly, they were facing north but it was possible that they spun around in the dark during the fall. A confused Lance turned to Terra.

" Which was is out, Ter" He would, once again, use his Navigator to escape a dire situation.

"Up the stairs, Lance.." Terra said, guiding Lance up their ship again, and out of the cave once they were both on board. She flew the ship above the nice planet of Restoria, where they drifted back to their station. "Hopefully we'll just visit that planet a lot. . .it was the nicest one I'd seen in a while." She said once they were safe. She felt tired, her chest was still sore, but she tried not to notice these issues for now. She wondered if there were planets just as nice as Restoria, or if the others would be as ugly as Delkar 7 had been.

Lance's sense of direction came back, but only after they were aboard their ship. The huge breakfast was still with him, so his appetite was manageable. Once back on the Space station, Lance took a step back, metaphorically, and looked at how far he had come. In a sense he was still just an explorer, drifting aimlessly through space. At the same time, he had so much more. His own small ship, not to mention the huge space station that he and Terra shared. Now he was a very rich man, with the coins and jewels jingling in his pocket to remind him of that. And last but not least he had Terra, his Navigator....and Lover? For the first time since the beach he thought about their kiss, he wanted to ask Terra about that, about how she really felt, and possible follow up with another kiss and perhaps more than just a kiss.

Terra herself felt incredibly confused. She knew what had happened on Restoria couldn't have really happened, could it? Did Lance -really- feel that way about her or had some strange mood taken over all his good sense? Why would she think he actually felt that way about her? Definite insecurity was settling in, and she felt too awkward to ask anything about the two of them being together. It would certainly be nice, yes, to have someone romantically at her side. But the realistic part of the deal was that she was only an escaped slave, she was told what to do and how to feel for most of her lifetime. A mutual relationship would probably fix Terra from all those brainwashing mind games she'd gone through, but how to get to that point?

Lance was a man of chance, if he felt a certain way. A way that a specific action would have to be taken in order to further that feeling..even if it meant taking a huge chance that could screw a lot of things up if his action failed.....he would so it. There was no question of that. So when they got back up to there little room Lance shut the door. He approached Terra and took her hand in his, staring deep into her beautiful eyes as he did so. Then, without any need to talk just yet. He kissed her, soft but at the same time Firm and lovingly. He wanted her to know for sure how he felt. He broke the kiss very quickly and then , still holding her hands in his, spoke.

"Terra, I love you." HE took a deep breath, searching her face for an answer " I didn't know at first, but I have Loved you since the first time I saw you." <3

Lance's words almost made Terra cry right then. She held his hands in her own small ones, actually shaking with relief. "I love you too, Lance. Always have." She let herself fall into his arms then, letting whatever happened next take its place. She would be happy to have a family with him whenever that time was right, perhaps years after they'd seen all the planets they'd care to. Maybe not now, but in the future. She kissed him back, to let him know she had the same feelings for him she'd had since they'd first met. This was what heaven must feel like, she decided. She hoped that feeling never went away, no matter what they did.

Lance felt his chest swell. It felt like someone was lighting off sticks of TNT in his heart. His neck had tingles that ran all the way down his spine, and his vision was blurry from tears of joy. He wrapped Terra up in a huge hug and lead her to the couch. He began kissing her deeply, rubbing his hands up and down her back. Taking time to gently push her shoulder down to let her know he wanted to lay down.

Terra let herself be lost in the moment. For once she wasn't planning ahead or thinking of where to go next from here, none of that mattered as much as being close to Lance as possible. She kept up with his kisses, her arms winding around his waist as she felt her head touch the pillows. Something was definitely growing between them, and it made her worries completely disappear. She wondered if they could stay this close for the rest of their lives. . .

Lance could feel something growing too, he was lost in a total state of lust. He kissed her lips, face and forehead. He wanted to kiss every inch of her body; as if trying to make up for all the years they had been together and not "been together". His hands explored her body, doing their best to remover both their clothes simultaneously. They were natural, together and just as they had been upon entering life. Lance was with her, becoming one with her as they moved together. It was slow, hot and passionate. Very loving, and at the same time raw and unyielding. Lance felt himself rising to his peak, unable to hold out any longer. He kissed Terra once again, deep and lovingly before letting loose everything he been wanting to give her for years.

Terra felt herself falling but she was already at her 'peak' even as Lance reached his. She showered before even changing clothes and crawling back to bed to curl up beside Lance. She felt relaxed probably for the first time in 10 years or more. The word -stress- simply no longer existed. She knew they were definitely in a relationship now, there wasn't any way either of them wanted to deny that. Both of them could prove to be incredibly stubborn, but they were certainly each other's match. To think they were so perfect together and hadn't even realized it this whole time, until they ended up on Restoria. Honestly, that planet became Terra's absolute favorite out of all the other's she'd seen.

Lance woke up early, seeing as he had passed out right after they were done. He had what seemed to be a smile that was branded on his face. He was smiling so wide that he almost scared himself when he looked in the mirror. Was it really true? Did he have Terra? Was this a dream? The captain pinched himself.=, nope he was awake alright. He walked down to the kitched to get some coffee. He picked out a nice french roast and got two cups ready. While the coffee was brewing Lance thought for the first time that this might cause complications. He hopped it didn't, but lust and love always ha a way of bringing trouble into a situation. Lance just hopped that Terra would still be professional, and he hopped he could do the same.

Easier said than done.

Terra didn't take long in waking up herself. She smelled the coffee, and strangely felt refreshed. She did the laundry for their bedsheets, then headed downstairs in a casual yet professional looking out fit with her hair tied back. "And yes, we can keep professional while in public.." Terra said, sneaking up on Lance to steal a coffee mug to make her own version of creamer-sugar coffee. She settled at her usual control chair, making sure the station was running smoothly as ever. Apparently Terra knew how to keep a low profile no matter how close the two of them now were.

It was like Terra could read his mind. How did she know he was thinking about how their situation would effect the personal relationship they had? Did he say that aloud? HE thought not, but it did not surprise him as much as you would think. After years of living with Terra he was no longer surprised by her uncanny 6th sense. The word Uncanny made him think of the comic from the olden days "X-Men", not to mention the spin off porn film "XXX-Men: he snickered at the thought then turned to Terra, wrapping his arms around her waist. He slowly moved closer to her, giving her a quick but loving kiss on the lips.

" Yes, I think its important that we keep a level of professionalism while abord the ship, as well as dealing with others" He kissed her again before letting go and heading towards the shower.

Terra melted in to Lance's kiss. She smirked at the idea of being professional on the ship, but she did agree with the in public part. While they had the ship to themselves however, she did manage to stay focused on guiding the station out of dangerous meteor fields or any rough terrain. Smooth sailing was what she liked best. In more ways than one. Her mind didn't stray often from her task, but when breaks happened, wel that was just expected. For now, she didn't sense any planets near by, but she checked the computer's information just in case.
