Awww... Add was planning on bringing that home with him when this was all over. All for the sake of his research... and now Desmond ruined that. The Esper didn't really seem that fazed by this from his facial expression alone, but now that they've searched the entirety of the balcony, it was time to head downstairs, further into the Atrium.

When you went downstairs, you would notice several blood trails leading into the vents. The downstairs was considerably dirtier than the upstairs, but still cleaner than the rest of the building. You hear some screeching in a vent, and some clicking.

Investigate the vents? Or leave?

Well Angelic Buster dodged the ball attack and released her own ball in the form of a Star Sphere back to Mightyena.

Oh, the egg really was an egg. For a dog. Huh. Noel didn't get a whole lot of time to think about how ridiculous that was before its parent unleashed a sphere of dark energy at them.

"Woah!"

She leaped out of the way, firing a shot at the Mightyena as she backed off.

Were they just going to murder every animal they came across here?

"Huh? How else do you want me to say it? You want me to talk to your itty bitty ti--" He began, before the Mightyena would suddenly attack the group! Well, maybe it was best that he didn't finish his sentence anyway.

"Whoaaaa!" Joseph yelled, attempting to evade it by quickly dashing to the side, before attempting to draw its attention, moving around his hands and quickly drawing his Clackers for the third time. Well, third time's the charm, right? Maybe they'll actually be put to good use this time?

"If you're gonna pick a fight, pick a fight with me! You don't look so tough, pipsqueak!" He exclaimed, charging his Clackers with the power packed taste of Sunny D.

The Mightyena tried to dodge the attacks of Angelic Buster and Noel, but she was quickly overpowered. The wolfish creature fell with a thud, eyes fluttering closed.

But, not before the other Pokemon's eyes had opened.

The puppy looked.. Confused. The loud noise from the gunfire seemed to have startled it awake. It tried to get up, but considering it had only just hatched, it quickly fell back down. After a few tries and fails, the puppy finally managed to shakily make the few steps forward to reach it's mother.. Before falling down again. Quietly, it nudged it's unmoving mother with it's snout, confusedly.

Momma..? When the small bark didn't get get a response, the little pup started howling in anguish.

A summary of this was that, basically, the Mightyena got fucked up, and her baby was alright.. But was clearly sad and confused.

The group could stay with the puppy and poke around the rubble a bit more, leave it, take it with and turn around to continue exploring, leave the building, or sit around and chat.

"... interesting... but not enough for my satisfication..." Add narrowed his eyes as he saw that he was surrounded by the creatures, but a hoarse laugh echoed out from his location. He didn't even need to go into DP mode... His six Dynamos surrounding him with generated energy ready to put into use, the Esper didn't hesitate from making the first move.

"Neutron Bomb!"

The Dynamos would generate a small electrical sphere that would be launched towards a direction that was some distance away from Add's current location, and that sphere would draw in the creatures towards it before it would explode with the electrical energy it was holding in. It was a heavy damage move, and yet, it seemed like Add was holding back his power from the looks of it.

Honestly having expected the trek upstairs to be a solo mission, Krauser was surprised to see Mom follow up behind him. This of course meant another chance for a snark from Krauser. "Heh, couldn't stand to be apart from me?"

He'd say knowing full well the response would likely be some biting quip about how little he actually meant to Mom or not to get too full of himself when they had a job to do. Either way, he was just pleased to have had another chance to poke fun at the scientist. As the two reached the top floor, Krauser noted all the rubble blocking some of the entrances. He knew that with his enhanced abilities, moving the rubble would have been child's play but perhaps they should investigate the rooms that they could actually get into before moving onto the ones blocked by rubble.

Making his way to one of those aforementioned un-blocked doors, Krauser sought to kick the door open instead of a simple twist and pull. Because with creatures like the mutt that had attacked the other girl back when they first walked in, it didn't hurt to be too careful. This same method helped Krauser out of tight spots when he was unsure of what lied behind a certain door. So the best strategy was to go in showing whoever was behind the door that you meant business and weren't afraid to do what you had to do. Which pretty much wrapped Krauser up pretty well. Just sprinkle in some PTSD and a unhealthy follower complex to Albert Wesker and it was almost a perfect character study of Krauser.

The first room Krauser kicked in... Happened to be pretty empty. It appeared to have been an office, at some point; as there were chairs, a clock(that no longer seemed to work), a desk, and what looked like an old bookshelf.

Mom took the comment in stride, offering Krauser a pleasant smile. "Of course not, dear. Someone has to be the babysitter." She let him take the lead without much care in the matter. It was cooler inside the building, allowing Mom to pull out her scarf and wrap it back around her neck. Everything felt a lot more clear with that around her neck, though a small sip of a drink would likely create the same effect for the woman. She relented for now, watching idly as Krauser mimicked an action movie star and kicked in one of the doors. She had no doubt that genre was likely the man's favorite.

"Now I wonder how many diseased creatures heard you," she said, looking over his shoulder to spy on the almost barren room. "Hm, there doesn't seem to be a phone anywhere, not that one would likely work around here..." Moving inside, she touched at one of the desks, grimacing at the dirt that layered the room. Mom Lalonde was a lady who liked to be clean, and who never stood for letting dust linger inside her house...

... even if cleaning the house with a Martini in hand had always made the process a bit of a sloppy one.

She then briefly looked over the old bookcase, more for the sake of curiosity than anything. She would have been surprised if anything useful was to be found. "As I said before, we need to find a means of contacting the outside world," she said, glancing back to Krauser. She paused as she looked upon him, wondering just how she ended up in this place alone with this man of all people. Her life would never cease to throw curve balls her way.

"... And once we do that, then we can see to getting out of here."

It.. Finally seemed to occur to Ridley that her plan had backfired. Completely. She'd briefly cheered the girl up, but the effects didn't last, and now she was in tears. Ridley didn't give a damn.. But leaving the situation like that probably wasn't in her best interest, if she was going to keep allies. "Uh.." What else did kids like, anyways? Ryan had liked a little mouse wearing a cape that Rid could conjured up.. But how would Ridley know if Riley liked the same?

Then, something occurred to her; Little girls liked dolls... Right? "Here, kid.. Like dolls? Or.. Or.... Stuffed animals?" Out of nowhere, Ridley conjured up a little black wolf plushie(probably because, at that moment, she had been thinking about how much Ryan had always loved their dog, Boo Radley).. And offered it to Riley.

Well, even someone as harsh and unforgiving as Marie has their soft spots... Losing parents was something she herself could relate to, so, with that in mind, she tried to approach the puppy carefully; who knows how it would react to a Skullgirl's presense, but, Marie didn't seem to care in this instant. She reached out one of her hands, one that had skin on it still, to attempt to pet the puppy, she wasn't making any sudden movements, however, she was uncertain how long she could keep this up.​
