Darius was slowly walking down the road, looking around. It was a nice sunny day, wasn't i- well, nevermind, it has started raining. Dammit, and he was starting to get comfortable with his surroundings. But oh well, such is life, always tries to ruin your mood. He sighed behind his black cloth bandana, hiding most of his face save for his unusual dark green eyes and his dense black eyebrows.
"It seems someone thought it was a great idea to play a magic song right now." he thought, a bit annoyed.
He covered his head with his leather hood, which was part of the leather suit that was covering most of his body. The suit itself was made from black and brown leather pieces and had an intricate design, with a lot of pockets and pouches all over it surface, containing a wide range of items, starting with flasks filled with unknown substances and ending with ammunition for his wrist crossbow and other crap. It was reinforced with a thin layer of iron in the shoulders area and the chest, alongside with leather in the elbos and knees dedicated to protect the user from any harmful attacks (and judging by the markings on them, it seems that they have succeeded at their task so far). The bottom part of the suit wasn't any different from the top: a tightly-fit brown belt containing another set of sheaths and pouches, dark brown cloth pants reinforced with leather and black boots made from the aforementioned material. Other than that, he was also wearing a strange triangle-shaped amulet on his neck, depicting an old runic sign surrounded with ancient text, and some dark brown fingerless leather gloves.
After a few more hours of walking, Darius sighted the Crossroads Inn in the distance, and suddenly the rain stopped.
"Nice timing, nature." he thought while heading towards the building-in-the-middle-of-nowhere.
When he was in front of the door, Darius entered without a single sound and looked around. Strange, almost everyone except a few of them were asleep. Although he knew that it was caused probably by a sleeping spell of some sort, he remarked, grinning behind the bandana: "Well, it seems you have a lot fun over here!" Then, just like he came, he took the furthermost seat without making a sound and ordered a glass of brandy.
Something about this individual, Darius, was out of place. Was it his dark green eyes, with a gaze indicating like they've seen way more than any other beings can see in their lives? Or was it the strange feeling when he is close to someone? Or maybe it is because of his aura, which was and wasn't present at the same time? No matter what, just looking at him made people feel uncomfortable. He looked like an usual assassin of sorts, but something about him hinted otherwise. Anyone who meets him ends with a single question in their minds: Who was he?
