Ariel stomped over to Paris and Kay "Keep it PG you two.." She scolded them before returning to Lilith and the fire. "You're fine.."She said referring to Lilth "Atleast you're safe." She looked out the window of the gas station. "Scarlet.. Paris.. You two watch out for everyone okay.." She noticed quite a few of the angels were either drunk or sleeping. "Oh and Aliah.. I'm glad you got out" she said before getting up. "I'm going to look for Liam.. I'll see if i can find Cyra and Mia." She said before untucking her massive white wings and taking off quit gracefully. She took to the darkened skies and looked out for the tree missing angels. "Liam.. you better be okay you asshole.." She prayed silently to herself as her wings flapped on and her heart beat sped up.

Liam was holding his right arm has he emerged from battle, blood leaking from the bicep. One of the guards had caught him with their knife. Fourteen guards. He smirked to himself on how many he had taken after leaving the group. He was shirtless still and the cold weather was starting to affect him severely, he had uncontrollable shivers and he began to grow pale from the blood loss. The worse of it all is he got hit by one of those damn sleeping darts and mixed with all this rain he couldn't fly. He barely knew where he was walking, he'd stumble and fall to his knees from time to time only to get back to his feet and keep walking off sheer will power. He looked for anyone, he saw a light. The gas station? "Please don't be death." He said to himself out loud, he fell to the ground. He was on his hands and knees panting, he was laughing. "Damn, I've been really messed up." He closed his black wings around him. As much as he loved the rain, it was to cold to let it hit him. "Damn..." His eyes were starting to give away to the sleeping dart, the healing taking care of his arm at least. He kept up on his hands and knees, smiling at his situation.

Scarlet gladly accepted her task. She knew she was not a good drink, or even drunk at all. scarlet however was glad that everyone was safe and having a good. she stood at the door awaiting ariel's return. she too had hoped liam was ok. Scarlet had not even got to really talk to him, or anyone. She wanted to be everyone's friend. since they were all she had now.

Ariel was starting to get worried "LIAM?!" She screamed. She looked down as she soared above the tree tops, it might have been beautiful if she wasn't scared out of her mind. Suddenly she saw what looked like a dead animal. She dove down and noticed it was more like a human.. what a hobo.. No wait that hobo had wings.. Liam.. Her mind clicked quickly and she landed hard on the ground "Liam!!" She stripped his shirt off of her and wrapped it around him. "You loom like hell.. what happened.. never mind. God you're so weak.." she said quickly assessing the situation. "Still smiling.. just like you.." She said. Picking him up by his arms and tugging his shirt back on his body she held his face in her hands looking at him with soft eyes. "Liam.. were gonna be okay.. we're gonna be okay i promise.. but you have to help me.." She didn't think she could possibly hold him and fly at the same time but she had to get him some heat somehow. She wasn't going to leave him. The wind blew on her face and fear washed over her, she couldn't imagine how he was still walking.

He was disoriented, and barely recoginized someone was touching him. He felt the bit of warmth of a... body. He squinted and saw it was Ariel, "You're looking as lovely as ever." He grinned, he forced his way up into a somewhat standing position. His knees were shaking about to buckle out from under him, he helped her take the first step and he almost fell taking her with him. He laughed, how could he have possibly got himself in this situation he kept saying. He looked at her smiling, sorrow in his eyes. He was making her be out here for nothing and his will to stay up was ineffective because of how cold his body really was, and those damn wings weren't helping him either. "Go." He said with a blank tone, "I'll be right... behind you." He said with joy somehow there, but was clearly lying. The sleeping potion was making his body more numb. He couldn't feel his legs as he helped her walk, he was about to give out uncontrollably soon.

Jessica, despite being drunk as hell, never slept that night. She stayed alert and still tense her hands protectively resting on Maddie. Through the drink fog in her mind she still feared someone would show up at night and take Maddie away. An why wouldn't they? She was probably one of the most cooperative patient those scientists had. They polluted her mind saying all the experiments were for the good of humanity. She hiccups, her eyes staying opened wide and kept darting around. Besides, Jessica hardly ever slept. When she did, she always had terrible night terrors where she woke up screaming and sweating and shaking. It's always been like that, even when she was a little girl in the orphanage. Jessica rests her head back against the wall awaiting her invitable hangover.

Ariel caught him and summoned as much strength as she possibly could and lifted Liam into her Arms. She wrapped his wings around him and struggled to get her her wings to lift her off the ground. "There's no way you can walk.." She said to herself more than to her disoriented friend. She might have even made a joke about him being a fat ass but now was not the time. Ariel was pushing her wings as fast as she could hoping the wind would help her out a bit. She finally got a break and caught a breeze that lifted her wings enough to fly back to the gas station. That didn't stop her from screaming for help. "HELP ME, PLEASE, MIA CYRA IF YOU CAN HEAR ME PLEASE HELP!" She was screaming over the sounds of the wind rocking through the trees and making waved in the river. The wind knocked her down and she lost altitude quite a bit, but something pushed her on, she didn't know what. After a while She saw the gas station and couldn't hold Liam any longer her wings were giving out and she looked at him and could only say "I'm sorry Liam.." And prepared herself for impact. Her wings acted as a somewhat parachute but they dropped to earth fast. She took the majority of the fall as her feet hit the road first before she fell onto her knees, her wings dropped over her and she screamed "PARIS JESSICA SCARLET SOMEBODY HELP" she couldn't move any farther, she had no more strength. She was starting to feel the cold after the adrenaline left her body as she pushed Liam closer to her own warm body. Stroking his hair and whispering to him that they were going to be okay. She could easily see the gas station from her place on her knees and could only pray one of the angels heard her from inside.

The moment Jessica heard her name she stood up, still careful of Maddie, and rushed out. She was next to Ariel and Liam in a heartbeat, helping Liam into her feet. She was finally thankful that she was more muscular then delicate, proping Liam against her so she could help Ariel up. "This is a thank you. For helping Maddie. I will consider my debt repaid." She said and helped them to be gas station, placing them in front of the fire

As she hit the ground, he hit hard, not being able to brace himself, he wretched in pain. He enjoyed her comfort. He looked to Ariel, his wings surrounding her from the cold until Jessica got there to help them. When he was placed by the fire, he felt the warm sensation and fell so close to it he felt his skin get agitated. He winced at first but then started enjoying it. He looked around the area, beer was everywhere and he noticed the droopy eyes from people who were drinking. "Partied... without.. me?" He stuttered, a grin aimed at the group. He couldn't bare it any longer, his eyes were to heavy, he fell asleep from the knockout dart, or the gash on his arm, he wasn't sure. He was just tired so he slowly closed his eyes.

Jessica inspected his gash, noting that it was already healing so she wouldn't have to wake Maddie up to stitch it. She took the dart out and looked at Ariel, despite being drunk she had her usual serious face back on and swayed a little. "Let him sleep. He will heal faster with rest. He should be fine, Maddie can check on him in the morning.." She turned, making her way back over to Maddie. Sitting down she put the girls head in her lap again and continued staying alert an awake throughout the night.

Ariel could walk fine, at least she thought so. Her legs shook under her but she managed to walk easy enough into the gas station and taking care of Liam. She looked at Jessica and could only nod. She knew Jessi was the one who would probably be the hardest to get to even like the rest of the flock let alone trust the flock. She wasn't even sure what kept Jessica around. She then looked at Maddie sleeping soundly, she thought, for maybe the first time in years. "I understand Jessi" she said and laughed slightly at Liam. "You could be dead right now and all you can say is "you partied with out me?" She said as she watched Liam fall right to sleep. The thought finally struck her that he could have been dead.. What of someone had found him.. What if the lab had found him. She shook the thoughts off, happy he was alive at least and with the group. His arm had a big scar from his wound, obviously he'd lost quite a bit of blood and Ariel inspected him. The rest of him wasn't in to bad of shape considering what he went though. She say back down next to Liam and let the warmth of the blazing fire overtake her. She kept her eyes on Liam though, not wanting him to move an inch. His eyes were shut and he breathed evenly as his chest would rise and fall. How did he even survive.. Ariel thanked her lucky stars that... most of them had survived the first day with a couple battle scars. This was the first step into their new life.

Jessica stared at the flock, an appropriate word for a group of bird people, then down at Maddie. She still wouldn't trust them. In fact didn't know if she could remember how to trust anyone other then Maddie. But Maddie seemed to like these people. She spoke more now and to other people which Jessi knew was a good sign. Her gaze moved to the wings on Maddie's back and saddened a little. Why could she have just been selfish and left Maddie at that orphanage? Why was she stupid enough to insist they take her too? Jessica started growing mad again, more at herself then anything. She was selfish all her life and only looks after herself till Maddie came along. Why did she have to love this little girl so much?! She could've been something great if it wasn't for her! Jessica waited till the others were sound asleep or distracted before she stood up, walking towards the doors quietly. Her wings were dry enough to fly by now and she wanted to be alone.

Ariel could notice movement out of the corner of her eye but wouldn't move her eyes off of the sleeping Liam. She figured it was probably just someone adjusting positions, you know now that they weren't crammed into little dog cages you could actually sleep kinda comfortably. Ariel watched some color slowly start to return to Liam's face as his body worked overtime to heal him. That was another thing about the bird's DNA Ariel didn't understand, Birds couldn't heal themselves, so why could they. Scientists tried to keep most things hidden about their special abilities. She figured it was always to keep the Angels in the dark but now she relized that it was most likely because even the scientists didn't know what they could do. Ariel pulled one of her giant wings forward and inspected it. The white soft feathers were covered in mud and she inspected the way her feathers grew from her, underneath the giant feathers hid a layer of skin, her skin that grew from her body to cover the unnatural bones and muscle that grew from her back. She could control hem by moving her shoulders back and forth. What was with her DNA.. why were they all so different. She released the wing and it flew back into place on her back, her wings out stretched and relaxed. She gave a yawn but her eyes went right back to Liam, Ariel didn't need sleep. She would be on the look out for everyone. She looked over to Paris and Kay, Glanced up at Aliah and Scarlett and then over to Maddie and Jessi, but Jessi wasn't there. She wouldn't leave Maddie and if she left it was for a good reason. Maybe she just wanted alone time.. none of them had any alone time in years. Scientists had to be with you 24/7 if you were out of the cage, and that included showering, using the bathroom, and anything else you might have to do.

Cyra woke up when she heard the sound of steps. Her neck hurt from the way she had slept, her wings hurt as well. So, they're here, huh. Cyra knew what was waiting for her, torture, pain, so much pain. But she wasn't afraid. Fear, along with the rest of emotions, just didn't exist in her anymore. And if they did, they were locked up somewhere in a high security safe deep into her heart.

When the steps got closer, she got out of the little cave. Stretching her body and her wings, trying to relief the pain that she was feeling.

"Hello, #006. You're looking pretty as ever." That same scientist said with a grin on his face, he was holding a handcuff, and two guards a chain. There were a lot of guards, some of them were holding dogs. German Shepherds. Cyra hold both of her hands up, waiting patiently as the scientist handcuffed her. The guards wrapped the chain around her wings, making them heavy and impossible to move.

"Dr. Samuel." Cyra said nonchalant. "They hurt."

"I know. Come on, boys. We have a pet to discipline." And with that, they walked towards the exit of the woods. Once out of it, a jeep was waiting for them. It didn't take too long before Cyra could already see the outline of the building. Back once again.

Liam woke up, rather loudly and spastic, he tapped his body with his hands and accidently hit the now small gash on his arm. "Ow!" He let out a string of curse words. "What the fuck?" He looked down at his arm, "Oh that's right." He laughed, realizing he had his shirt on him again, he took it off because of how hot he was now toward the fire and was getting too hot. He looked up at the ceiling, and attempted to stretch his body but it ached. He spoke out loud, not really speaking to anyone specifically. "Never try to take on a lot of people at once... It sucks." He looked to Ariel then looked toward the ground, apologetic and feeling guilty. He didn't have any words to thank her, he never really had felt speechless before. He normally always had a joke to say to ease the mood, but for some reason he couldn't think of one currently. He looked toward the ground, not even making an effort to look at her.

Jessica walks a ways away from the gas station so she won't be seen, then stretches out her wings and looks them. Though unnatural, she was proud of them. She wa proud of the way the black glossy feathers gave a dark and ominous shine in the moonlight and the way the glimmered with hints of dark purple and blue in the sun. Her hand lightly stroked a feather as she gave a small rebellious smile. "How about we see just what you can do, huh?" She said and in an instant she lifted off the ground, flying higher and higher till she passed the clouds and higher again. She waited till her lungs screamed for oxygen in the thin air. She stopped a moment, flying in place and gazing at the stars she so dearly missed. Grinning with excitement, she tilted herself back till her head faced the ground and tucked her wings in, folding them around herself. She began diving head first down, her eyes squinting through her red hair that whipped wildly, stinging her face. She enjoyed the feeling. She felt free being miles above the ground. As she or closer her wings slowly started opening to catch her till the perfect moment and snapped them out. They acted as a parachute, lifting her up and soaring her just above the tree tops. She began laughing. How ironic. The things that were destined to ruin her life gave her great joy. She beat her wings, lifting herself up and began doing backwards summersaulting in the air. She finally felt graceful an free.

Lilith woke up feeling uneasy. She realized that they're still avoiding her like a plague. Feeling sorry for herself, she remembered Cyra. Deciding that nobody needs her anyway, she went out and flew away. She flew towards the direction Cyra took when she left. She spotted her being taken away. She kept high in the sky using the clouds as cover. She realized that they're taking her back the lab. She kept flying out of sight thinking of a way to help Cyra and destroy the facility once and for all. "I'll help you be free even if it's the last thing I'll do." she vowed to herself as she landed on a big tree overlooking the facility from a safe distance. Being with an owl DNA, nighttime is her time of the day where she is most efficient and active. She scanned the area for any possible safe route. The Breaking Room is out of the options. She kept alert while she hopped from one tree to another soundlessly and keeping an eye for security alarms and sensors. She found a back door that's not a bit far from the stock room. She decided to hide there for a while.

Ariel laughed slightly as Liam awoke and winced in pain as he kicked her. "Ow you idiot that hurt" she joked and then gave him a small smile. "I'm glad you're safe for the record. I had to give you your shirt back" she said and then for the first time noticed she didn't have a shirt on. Her face went 50 different shades of red at once and she went to go find something to cover herself in. Her wings instinctively wrapped around to cover her from the looks of the rest of the group.

He noticed she didn't have a shirt on and turned around, blushing hard. He offered his shirt, his arm stretched though it was a tad wet. His tone was jokeful, "You really don't know how to keep your clothes on do you?" he paused and eyes widened and turned around facing her, "We're you cuddling with me without a top on?!" He voice was rather loud, and he was clearly embarrassed. Figuring she wouldn't do that so calmly and instinctively. He didn't really know what to think of it, he wasn't displeased by the thought though.

Ariel turned back around shocked and embarrassed. "Shhh! People are sleeping! And for the record. It was your shirt, you would have froze to death and oh yeah if I hadn't had found you and "cuddled" you you'd probably be dead!" She yelled at him in hushed tones and turned away, walking off to find an old t shirt or something this gas station might have. She found in the back an old workers top and pulled it on. It didn't quite fit her and it cut off her circulation for her wings so she ripped the back open and walked over to find something to eat ignoring Liam.
