Charley finished his breakfast. Yeah just hold on. Charley stood up and pushed in his chair. He picked up the the plate he just ate off of, and he just put it in the sink. Okay I'm ready cat. Charley walked over to Cat. Ladies first. Charley said as he waited for Cat to walk out the door.

Cat smiled and walked out the front door and waited for him by the stairs, she carefully watched him lock up their apartment. "This should be an interesting day. My parents spilled everything about the DWMA, they were excited when I got my letter. I however really wasn't all that thrilled to be honest." she said as they walked up the stairs of the academy.

After Charley locked up the apartment Charley walked down the stairs and walked next to Cat all the way to DWMA Yeah it should be an interesting day. Man when my dad found out that I got accepted into DWMA he freaked. He said "NO SON OF MINE WITH GO TO DWMA" I don't understand why he doesn't he doesn't like DWMA, but I told him I'm going to DWMA wither he likes it or not. If I didn't have my grandmas support then I wouldn't even be here right now.

"And we wouldn't have met or been paired together," She looked over at him as they climbed the stairs. "My parent's expect me to be this great Meister but I know I am going to end up disappointing them. Both sides they come from a long line of Meisters." She said with a small smile. "But our wavelengths match extraordinarily well and I feel like we will be great partners."

Charley turned looked Cat . You're not going to disappoint your parents because I'm going to make sure you become a great Meister. I promise I will help you become the best Meister there ever was. For you can make your parents proud. Charley said as he smiled at Cat.

Thea.

The man who had intruded grew silent at Kami's answer, though he hadn't moved, he hovered like a statue and she remained silent and watching for moment perplexed. His aura seemed to whisper danger but then none of them would be here if they weren't dangerous in some way, he put off an air of alpha predator but that wasn't something that worried her, those who went to the effort to make sure it was known they were violent and dangerous were easy enough to keep an eye on, it was the one's that looked harmless that you honestly had to worry about, ones like them an this guy had been standing with before. "Wow Marshmallow you coulda been more diplomatic." She all but purred with a hint of sarcasm in her tone, "Sorry bub all outta luck I guess. Bet that girly girl talking to your mate could hook ya up though." It was Thea's diplomatic way of saying 'piss off', it weren't that she didn't like the guy, he looked kinda fun in all honesty but she weren't in the mood to play with an empty belly and a whole lesson to sit through after. Besides, it weren't like the guy wanted to socialise so why should she?

Turning to Kami with her back more or less to Lucifer she continued their conversation from before, "Promise me you'll contemplate something savoury at lunch time? I can't have ya bouncing off the walls all day. I don't even care if its a slice of fricking bread coated in sugar just try alright?" She'd never really seen Kami get 'sugar high' which, with the amount he digested, was rather surprising but she did wonder what would happen if he over dosed on the sweeties.

Idly Thea wondered why they had this class first, it was unusual, or so she thought, to pit students against one another so early into their semester. After all weren't they, idly, going to be working together in groups later on? Of course it hardly bothered her much, she was going to use it as a way of getting to know peoples names and weapons from Meister's. She could read soul wave lengths with pretty okay accuracy and insights but why go to the effort is someone was willing to tell you for free? "Also, play nice, you're too cute to be a total ruffian Marshmallow." She teased her partner, a playful grin spread on her lips and a wink thrown his way.

Gil frowned at the three of them. It was nice of the girl to try and defuse it but she had gone about it in entirely the wrong way. The other boy was, of course, like half the new recruits here. Cocky. Convinced that they were special. And unable to read the power levels of who ever they challenged. Also Lucifer had said he would behave. "Lucifer" he said, shooting a testing look, letting him know not to start it, but not to take too much shit.

"Kid, the girl here is right. You should really learn your place. It's about 100 years too early for you to come and talk to him like that" he called to him, remembering the old Japanese phrase. He got up and walked over. "Just calm down ok? "

Lucifer opened his mouth, but no words came out. He was cut off by his partner. He looked over at Gil, then back at the pair in front of him. The girl had her back to him now. She seemed to have a weird symbol on her back. "hmm interesting" he said to himself as he examined it. She must be in a gang, he thought.

Soon Gil was next to him, telling I'm to calm down. "They started it" Lucifer said in a mockingly whiny voice. He stepped down from the desk and turned away from the pair, walking with Gil away from them. Up close, they were actually pretty disappointing. "when's the fighting" Lucifer asked Gil, acting like nothing had just happened. He seemed to completely forget about the two, like they had suddenly vanished from his view.

Kami shrugged in response to Thea's minor rebuke, eating out of a bag of corn chips. When Gil spoke to him he turned his head and said, "Hey, he came over here, or did you forget where you were sitting, already?" He didn't know what all the fuss was about, he was joking the entire time, and since his weapon form was spikes, it literally would hurt to try and bite him. When they walked away he faced Thea and smiled, "I'll get some real food, don't worry."

He blushed slightly at her jesting about him being cute, and quickly turned his face away. It took him a split second to let his face go slack again and he turned back, "If cuteness counteracted being a ruffian, then how are you even a Wyld Kat?" Kami may have had a crush on Thea, but his lazy nature made it hard to detect as he wouldn't act on it, though he wouldn't try to hide it either. Some people would swear he had no interest in relationships, others who were more perceptive would say that he just didn't want to try to establish any relationships.

Yumi.

Lucifer darted away upon her arrival, causing the loose strands of her hair to dance briefly in his backdraft before settling once again at her shoulders. Completely taken aback by how fast he was, she hadn't seen him move, she was stunned into a quiet that lasted a couple of seconds longer than she would have liked. It appeared he was talking to a couple of ruffian's and for a moment he was a little worried, she didn't doubt Lucifer was strong but all the same she didn't want to see him get into a fight, she'd worry about his well being. Gil soon joined his partner and she was left feeling rather silly, she shouldn't have expected to be able to strike up conversation with them and they did appear to be somewhat busy. She just hoped they wouldn't get into any trouble.

Releasing a small sigh she looked over to Arnaud and offered him her bright smile, "Shall we go find our seats? I am sure the class will start soon. I'm a little nervous if I'm honest." She was down playing how nervous she really was of course, there was no point in admitting she wasn't much of a fighter, she'd be laughed out the classroom. Agilely ascending the stairs until she came to a free table they could sit at she took the seat closest to a window and pulled out the other for Arnaud, setting her bag down against the table top and pulling out her notebook and pen.

Thea.

A raised voice caught her attention, the partner of this guy, who came on over and some sort of lover-esque drama ensued. When they were blamed for the slight disagreement she hiked a brow and chuckled softly, just once, the guy was clearly attempting his own form of 'playful' but clearly he sucked at it worse than she did. When Kami went and opened his mouth again she rolled her eyes, her palm finding his forehead and her fingers wrapping about his skull as she pushed him backwards with the intention of toppling him out of his chair or at least making him rock back on its legs. "Shut up Marshmallow." Glancing over to the pair she grinned faintly, "Ignore him, he's an idiot. See ya around." She saluted with her free hand, two fingers to the temple and then jerked away in a faux military salute. Once they'd retreated and Kami's stupid ass was back in the chair she turned back to him and smirked. "It's almost like you wanna die before class starts."

When he turned away from her she smirked again, she'd caught the tinge of pink as it rose in his cheeks but more than that it was obvious when people were hiding shit from her. Of course she hadn't been expecting his rebuttle and looked at him with an honestly stunned expression. She hadn't been called cute since she was, what, five? Directly or otherwise no one had ever insinuated there was anything 'cute' about her. She blinked slowly at the boy, a sort of confused look on her face, however the confusion soon passed and that usual hardness had returned, "Cute? Right. You've had too much sugar, its rotted your brain." She shook her head with a chuckle and slipped off the table to take her seat. "Cute. Ha. that's a good one Marshamllow. So when do you think the teacher will actually show up?"

Tomas smiled as he saw Duel's flustered reaction to him hitting on her. Obviously, his flirting was having an effect on her. And, she hadn't told him to stop, that she didn't want it, so that led Tomas to believe she was okay with it. But, to not overdo it, he would stop for now. It would make it much more potent and intense later. "Okay, let's go. There's one place in particular I ate at my first day here that I really liked, and I said I would be back with a beautiful girl. I like to keep my word." He just had to get in one compliment to Duel. He couldn't help it; that was just who he is. Backpack on his back and guitar in case slung on his shoulder, he led Duel out of their apartment and to the restaurant.
----
Arnaud sighed and grumbled when Mayumi spoke to him about finding seats. "Fine," he said. He was much more agreeable today, peculiarly. But, by being 'much more agreeable', really didn't mean much. He may agree to one or two things someone would say, and would grumble to himself rather than outright yelling at someone, like Mayumi. Well, it was an improvement. When Arnaud saw Mayumi pull out a seat for him, he paused, considering to sit somewhere else. For some unknown reason, though, Arnaud quietly sat where Mayumi had suggested. It was awkward, getting his robed clothing into the seat, but he managed it.

Yumi.

Yumi was a little worried about her partner, since they had left that morning he hadn't been his usual self, quieter than usual and more thoughtful than normal with less of the aggressive flare she had come to know him for. It was almost as if something was troubling him, Yumi knew better than to ask him about it though, he was such a private man that her honest concern might have been considered prying and rude. So instead she'd decided to just remain at his side, hoping her closeness would offer him some silent support and that in time, perhaps, he would trust her enough to confide in her. She would have loved for him to speak to her about his worries and she hoped he knew that she was there for him as she always had been when they were kids.

When he took the seat she was happily surprised, though she didn't let such register on her face, instead offering her soft, warm smile that she reserved just for Arnaud. It was the smile that said, 'I'm happy you're here', even if it was her who sought him out more oft than not and her who started any conversation with him since they were small. It had been 'his' smile since she had started school and met him for the first time.

She was always astounded how graceful he seemed in his robes, somehow regal and yet almost ghostly as well, even now when it was a clear struggle to get into a seat he made it look effortless and she couldn't help but be a little jealous of him for that. "Thank you." She said happily, unable to keep the chipper tone from her voice. She had been worried he wouldn't sit with her and she sort of needed his silent strength right now. "Do you think we'll need to take a lot of notes?" One could hope right?

*Teacher Time!*

In walked a bald man. Wait, not bald, bald with two greying pillars of hair rising from beside each ear. He seemed somewhat... weathered. Battered by life. Down and out. He walked to the blackboard and wrote in large yet precise writing, Professor Ox.

Kami fell back with a startled yelp. He sighed exasperatedly as he struggled to get back up. When got in his seat he glared at Thea for a while. He turned when the door opened, watched the teacher come in, and put away his food.

Lucifer had taken a seat next to Gil. He had his arms folded, with his head face down in them like he was asleep. He listened as the door opened and someone walked in, but he didn't look up to see who it was. Instead he buried his head deeper into his arms. Unless it was a combat lesson, Lucifer found most subjects very boring.

Thea.

Thea's eyes followed the teacher as he silently entered and scrawled his name on the board as if he were some elementary school teacher for mundanes. There had to be a catch, a man so plain looking would not be a professor at this school if there wasn't something different about him. Though Thea wasn't sure what that could be, nor did she truly know if them an was a weapon, meister, gifted or truly mundane. No matter which her eyes darted to her companion who'd shoved his snakes back in his bag, a sure sign he too was paying attention. Carefully she sat herself forward, a more upright than lounging position and her keen eyes remained on the teacher in front of her, the whole class had grown silent in either anticipation or boredom.

Yumi.

Before she could ask Arnaud about anything more the teacher entered the room and a hush fell over the class that seemed to prickle the fine hairs on the back of her neck. The man made his way over to the blackboard in his own time and he looked rather unimposing, in fact he somewhat reminded her of a teacher she'd had back in her old school. Though she was under no illusion that this was the same man. He wrote his name neatly on the board and still the class was silent, she jotted the name down so she wouldn't forget it, putting a small description next to it 'looks like Mr. Gerrard.' so she would not confuse him with someone else and returned her gaze to the front of the class. No one had spoken, not a peep and while she thought it would be better manners to say good morning to their teacher she felt a sudden uncertainty. Did the students here not say good morning to their teachers? Did their Professor's take issue to it and were they strict? She honestly didn't know much aside the rumours she'd been told and the words from the guide that morning but they hadn't touched on how to speak to the teachers and she was hesitant to make a wrong impression so early on in her school career. Biting her lip gently she looked down to Gil and Lucifer to judge their reactions, Lucifer looked as if he were probably attempting to nap and Gil looked thoughtful.

*As the teacher* He turned round to face the class, the light glinting off his glasses. His mouth open slightly as he took a large breath before... sighing? He seemed to deflate a little with each exhalation. He spoke fairly quietly, though audibly. "My name is Professor Ox. I used to be a meister in training just like you guys" He muttered something under his breath as he looked down at a piece of paper. He ran through the register monotonously, not even noting down who was in attendance. "Right pair up with someone who isn't your partner" he said slowly, looking back down at what must have been a lesson plan. Nobody moved for a second. He glanced back up. "Well hurry up then!" He groaned, an edge of frustration creeping in to his tone

Kami looked at the teacher in confusion, then stood up. He looked around with his eyes squinted as if judging which of these people would be the best to work with. His eyes settled on Lucifer and he pursed his lips. That guy, is my last choice currently. He wasn't too impressed with the rest of his class mates either, but then again they were only human. It was hard to be impressive when you were only human.

She blushes slightly at his last comment, but she followed behind him when he started walking. To take her mind off all the attention she wasn't use to getting, she thought of other things. First, she thought of school. How was she going to act now that she didn't have teachers to watch her every move? Would having a partner make her seem more normal now? What is it going to be like now? Then she started thinking about her art work. She wanted to head out later tonight and finish a piece she was working on in an abandoned building. That building had been ruined beyond repair by a kishin and the local graffiti artist began making it there own big giant mural. She was excited to get back to work. Yet, the father the two walked, the hungrier Duel started getting.

Thea.

Thea was taken off guard when the old coot spoke up, glancing to Kami to see his reaction before back to the professor. With a heavy sight the delinquent slipped out of her chair and ruffled Kami's hair. "Be good Marshamllow." She uttered as she kicked her chair back under the table and stalked across the room. A pair of boys were sat together, talking quietly but making no major moves yet and she stopped in front of their table. They both looked studious but not nerdy, which was good. Shooting a look to one she uttered, "I'm partnering with you."
"Who says?" The boy responded, getting a raised brow from her. His partner was a bit quicker on the draw and lightly nudged his arm.
"Just do as she says, Evan." He uttered with a glance to her jacket.
"Yeah Evan do as I say." She echoed with a mock grin on her face.
"...Fine." Evan finally replied. Thea then turned her attention to the partner, "I promise he won't be harmed...now, go over to the scruffy haired kid I was sitting with and partner with him." The boy nodded with a sort of disappointed come annoyed look on his face, as he got up Thea grabbed his arm and slipped him, rather surreptitiously, a bag of butterscotch candies from her pocket, "Don't give him a nickname, don't touch him unless he says its okay and if he gets out of hand give him one of these. It'll calm him right down and make him real placid like...Thanks." With that she patted the guy on the back, his name unknown since she hadn't asked, and plopped down in his warm, vacant seat.

"I'm Thea by the way."
"Evan." Grumbled Evan.
"Nice to meet ya." She said, leaning back to squint at the old man and the paper he was attempting to read. "I'm the meister, in case you were wondering. You?"
"Same."
"We got a whole class together Evan and I am curbing my bad language and generally violent nature right now for your sake. Wanna at least try and be civil?" He looked at her and she offered a serpentine smirk followed by a wink. "I ain't all that bad when you get to know me and it's only for this class."

Yumi.

Yumi looked mortified when the professor finally spoke up, she blinked slowly, once, twice and then a third time and he still hadn't spoken any different. He wanted them to...what? She briefly glanced to Gil and Lucifer but after having been ignored earlier she was a little reluctant to go over to them again and ask for advice or to pair with one of them. They probably didn't want to associate with people like her which was understandable as they seemed pretty knowledgeable. Then she looked back to Arnaud, she strongly doubted Arnaud would pair with any one else willingly but then ti was a superior saying too and he'd always been very good at doing what a superior told him too. "I...I will move...I gu-guess I'll see you later." She offered her warm smile but all the same she couldn't hide her anxiety.

When she was younger her bubbly, happy personality had gotten her into a lot of trouble at school, kids had even picked on her calling her slow or stupid, especially since she hung around Arnaud a lot. While it had never stopped her smiling or her kindness to other people it had made her a little more careful and perhaps a little insecure. She couldn't understand the cruelty in people, despite her attempts at doing so, it seemed as impossible to her as breathing under water and that made her nervous. She wasn't sure how a happy person could make another desire to be cruel and she was unwilling to put herself, or another through that where she was able to. It was though her first lesson and the first request of the first lesson.

Carefully she got up, lifting her stuff and draping it over an arm before shuffling out from behind Arnaud and into the gangway of the tables. She glanced around the room and looked quite lost. People were pairing up quickly, splitting up and rearranging themselves and she was unsure where she would fit in, if anywhere. Fidgeting between feet she continued to look for someone who seemed 'open' to the idea of partnering with her for the duration of the lesson.
