"Shit, shit, shit...", she mentally blabbered more curses as she tried to avoid the flaming attacks. One however, managed to hit her side as it managed to burn through the fabric of her dress and unto her skin. It gave a painful degree burn on her side.

She gritted her teeth and bared her fangs as she held her wound in pain. As she try to avoid the attacks, she conjured up ice on her wound to stop it from bleeding.
"D-damn it, how am I gonna stop him from burning everything?!"

"You're hurting yourself!" She shouted at him, in hopes of a chance he'll try to stop. Obviously, no. But then she thought of something she might regret later. "No, no, no... I don't want to do it no... no..." She tried to compose herself from that thought.

She then threw herself up in the air as she was going in for a strike with her staff towards him.

He noticed her immediately, as he dodged the attack and countered with a vicious flurry.

Meanwhile, a silver haired girl was running at full speed towards their direction This is bad, he's about to repeat it again she was referring to the accident a few years ago when Xeron first entered that state.

She materialized a scroll and started to memorize its content Just hang on a little longer she folded the scroll as she ran even faster.

After unleashing a flurry, Xeron looked at the hybrid which he easily mistook for someone else. "I will avenge them..." his eyes glowed, as a black circle appeared below him "Shadow Bind" black chains started to constrict her as it got tighter with every movement.

"I'll see you in hell" he said as he pointed his hand at her.

She gritted her teeth as the chains that was wrapped around her body started to constrict her. She can't go limp to avoid the constriction and she can't try to fight it either.

Although the pressure started to peg her on one, as she chose to push against it. She meowed loudly in pain as she did so. Marks of pressure were starting to form on where she was being constricted.

"I want... to... help you." She mumbled tiredly as she struggles fight off both the chains and her fading consciousness.

"Primordia-"

"Aero Sphere"

Xyrea launched a green orb which blasted his arm off. Xeron looked at his arm as black flames started to appear, regenerating the blasted part. She took this chance to catch him off guard, unleashing her deadly attacks. He tried to block her attacks but a few of them managed to get through, leaving deep cuts.

Xeron staggered to his feet, but he managed to quickly regain his balance as the black flames healed his wounds. "Xyrea.." he said redirecting his attention to the silver haired girl. Black orbs started to appear around him and with a flick of his hand, the orbs started to orbit near him.

He was about to say something but was interrupted by a sharp pain from his chest. He started to fall to the ground as his wounds from earlier started to appear again.

Seal of Rebirth:Twin Fang, an enhancement spell primarily for dual blades. It has the ability to revert the target back to its previous state, however this would also undo any enhancements or healings that are done to the target.

Xyrea managed to cast it a little while ago before she arrived on the scene. She looked at Xeron who's suffering from his wounds I need to find a way to stop his bleeding she thought as she looked at the hybrid who's still constricted "Release" the black chains released the hybrid from its grip.

"I know you're not in full condition right now, but I need your help" she said while helping her to stand.

Ryen staggered as her blood finally went through her veins, though that didn't stop the bleeding on her side and the new additions to her body were multiple, slightly bloodied, constricted marks. She conjured up ice again on her wound.

She felt a lot of pain and was heavily tired, until someone hoisted her up. A blurry figure of slender, silver-haired woman was what she saw.

"Wha-what... who are y- no wait, you have to help him..."

"As much as I want to, I can't. I don't have the ability to stop his bleeding his bleeding" she replied. She placed her hand on the hybrid's head "Ancient of Water hear my call" a blue circle appeared beneath her "Lend me your blessing to cleanse the pure-" her vision started to blur making it hard for her to concentrate.

Dammit not now she was suffering from the strain of controlling four elements.

"Aquaios Pureas"

The hybrid's body glowed, healing a few of her wounds. Normally Aquaios Pureas would completely heal someone but since she didn't finish the chant, the effect was reduced.

"I'll..explain..things..later" she said weakly.

"Do..what..you..can"

Ryen's vision cleared, and was slightly feeling better from the spell this girl gave her. Though, since the healing effect was reduced, it didn't remove her scars but it managed to stop the bleeding. The silver-haired girl however, was starting to get tired.

So Ryen helped her up and managed to walk her over to the side of the road. She ripped a fabric from her clothing and made a small makeshift pillow to rest the girl's head as she carefully laid her down on the rock pavement.

Ryen then quickly approached Xeron and knelt beside him. Looking at his wounds, she used her hand as she conjured up at ice on them. Looking at his state, well, this isn't good.

Dark, purple, bulgy veins are present on his wound marks and around the chest area.

It is the first stages of the Overwhelmed Corruption. This type of Corruption process, arouses the human's lust to further succumb into the state of chaos. This explains Xeron's laughing hysterics.

Ryen knows a way to reverse it, although she hesitates. She then heard multiple metal-clanging footsteps from far away, as she realized they were authorities.

She then held out her hand, and placed it above his chest. She closed her eyes as she felt the familiar pulse of a soul, though she stops.

"This will hurt me much more than it'll hurt you."

She breathed shallowly, and without hesitation this time, she violently closed her fist and felt the erratic beating and pulsating of his corrupting soul.

"Chao: Sacrficium"

Then, Ryen screamed out in pain as she absorbed the contained fueled hatred, as purple veins started to bulge in her hand and continuously crawled upward in her arm.

The veins stretched and curled, twisting every nerve ending in the muscles of her arm. She banged her other hand against the rock ground multiples times drawing blood. While the purple veins continued to crawl upwards her arm and unto her chest, Xeron's erratic soul started to slow into calming pulses. The effects of the corruption on him started to disappear as well.

Multiple armored knights surrounded them, with their weapons ready.

She gritted her teeth, and once his soul had finally slowed into faint pulses, she finally let it go. The nerves had reached the lower half of face.

She let out a breath and fell into unconsciousness.

Terian guards arrived on the scene, as they carried the unconscious trio back to the castle. They decided to put them inside separate prison cells as they leave their fate to the decision of King Archaios.

The silver haired girl regained consciousness first, she looked around her but her vision is still blurred. She placed her hand on the floor, drawing a symbol on it. She pressed her hand on the symbol as it started to glow, "Strefo Anagenis" her vision was restored as the two elements, light and water was remove from her.

An elemental strain can happen if a person controls more than two elements. The elements of a person can be identified just by looking at their eyes, they only contain two mixed colors which are their first and second element. However, if a person controls a third element, that color will start to appear from their eyes as well but the vision of the person will be damaged in the process. It can also cause strength loss, corruption and if not treated immediately, permanent vision loss.

Strefo Anagenis is a spell created to remove the excess elements that a person have, the person needs to be treated before 24 hours in order for the spell to work.

After regaining her vision, she looked around again A prison? she thought as she saw her surroundings. On the other side of her cell, she saw Xeron who was still unconscious inside his cell.

Xeron Cressfield, also known as "Kurohomura" in Xarcos, was highly feared by Xarians because of the incident that happened 8 years ago. He had no parents or relatives whatsoever, as a child he grew up living on the streets, feeding on little remains of food that he can find. Life was difficult for him, as he lived like a stray dog trying to survive, until the day that he met Xirion. Xirion Igsem is a tavern owner who was kind enough to take him in. He treated him like his own, giving him the love and care that Xeron never received in his life. From that day forward, Xeron started living as a normal child.

An occult group named "Exarion Blade" has taken an interest on Xeron's unique element combination, which was Fire and Dark.
They saw Xeron as a threat, for them the element combination of Fire and Dark was a sign of ill omen. In their belief, Fire is a symbol of a burning future while Dark is a symbol of eternal chaos.

The Exarion Blade, under the leadership of Xyrea Aventail herself, wasted no time as they launched a full scale attack which killed a lot of people in the process, including Xirion. Xeron's mind went blank as he tried to comprehend what happened right before his very eyes, blood was spilled everywhere as he looked around but what got to him the most was seeing Xirion dead. The only person who he considered family was dead, he cried and gritted his teeth as he felt extreme sadness and hatred at the same time.

One of the members spotted him and prepared to strike him down. But he was immediately consumed by black flames. I..will..avenge..them a burst of black flames appeared everywhere, turning everything it touched to ashes.

Most of them started fleeing as they saw their comrades turn to ash one by one, leaving Xyrea to deal with the enraged Xeron. So that's why they saw you as a threat she brought out a silver whip, enhanced with a rebirth seal. Xeron redirected his attention to the silver haired girl as he immediately launched a barrage of fireballs at her. She jumped to her left which allowed her to evade the attack, then followed it up with a whip strike.

He re-positioned himself as he grabbed the whip's tail but instead of being caught, it coiled on his arm instead without being affected by his black flames. The whip glowed as it started absorbing his corruption, reverting him back in the process.

"Why-"

The sound of metal-clanging foot steps interrupted her from reminiscing about the past, as she started to pretend being unconscious again.

Aching.

Churning.

Hurting.

Burning.

Ryen woke up in a room. She found a small toilet nearby and stumbled off the bed she woke up on. Sweating, she hurriedly crawled towards it.

She open the lid and began vomiting. Splish splashing of the contents she was spewing can be heard in the area around her. Once she was done, she gasped heavily and wiped the sweat and excess vomit of her mouth. She closed the lid and fell unto her back, looking up the ceiling. She then realized she was in a prison cell.

"Ugh... not this again..." The feeling was like a hangover, a headache, a stomach ache, a body ache, and certain areas of the nerves of your body just keep twisting and turning and making you want to double over in pain and bang your head against the wall to stop it and tear your hair off and and and....

She heaved a sigh as she closed her eyes to remember what happened. Shakily raising her right arm to look at it, she slowly removed the glove with her other hand. Turning her hand to each side, "It's definitely Corruption alright." She thought as she gazed upon the intricate design of the interconnecting veins of her arm.

It has a very complex, yet very interesting pattern of the veins with the hue of dark violet. Only for those who'd appreciate the sight, of course. Not everyone appreciates them, after all. She then crawled towards the bed and sat there to think.

These feelings of the absorbed hatred, were quite foreign. First, these aren't hers. It belongs to someone else-

"Him!" She remembered the events of last time. How Xeron was in a state of anger and disarray, under illusions of different threats. He even attempted to kill her, if it weren't for that silver haired lady.

Ryen sighed. This wasn't the first time that she had to absorb someone's Corruption.

The Sacrificial Corruption is a kind of corrupting process where the human offers itself as a vessel to contain another human's Corruption. This process is considered the most painful one, and can sometimes lead the one who's absorbing it to lose their identity, if that were their intentions.

She did this last time to someone else, a fellow Reaper. She grew up in a tribe of feline Demi humans just by the North Western Regions and traveled to Aster to study and become a Reaper. From there, she was told to meet her cousin, named Laurel Garnes. He was a young capra Demi human from the Ventus Region, and his elements were Water and Lightning. They became friends after a sparring test, as they thought they had the same element from looking at each other's eyes.

Laurel had a lot of stories to tell which fascinated Ryen during lunchtimes. He would speak of adventures he'd been, which somehow sparked Ryen's interest in exploring Terraden after she's been trained enough to become an official Reaper. They were quite close, but Ryen sensed something off from him.

She knew her cousin wasn't feeling good, and she would usually try to let him to talk about it. He'd just shrugged it off and go on with their classes. She ignored it for some time, but it was starting to get worse. He started having violent fits, which lead to multiple disagreements. She then told him that he should at least talk about it, but his ego prevented so. He then stormed off and they never talked together again.

One day, he was in such a wreck and during class, he just snapped. During another sparring test, he kept throwing and hitting his partner with violent hits. He screamed and cried as blades of lightning emitted off him and was destroying the place around him. Water from his tears mixed with it, and it was killing him.

The teachers tried to stop him and other students ran away, but Ryen dashed towards him to attempt to calm him down. The Corruption process was rapidly consuming him, and she had no other choice but to absorb his Corruption from hurting others and himself. In doing so, it was also hurting her. But she was... late.

"All I felt were feelings of sadness, anger, loathing, and regretting. He never told me those."

"..."

She does not want that to happen again. Ever. And that's a promise. She gripped her fist in determination.

Her ears twitched as she heard metal clanging of footsteps approaching their area.

The guards arrived, checking every cell that they passed by.

"We're suppose to get the new ones, right?" a black armored knight asked, looking at Xeron's cell.

"Yeah but only if they're all awake" the prison guard replied, looking at Xyrea's cell.

"What about 'that'?" the black knight pointed at the corrupted hybrid.

"Like I said, only if they're all awake" the prison guard turned around started to walk away, leaving the black knight behind.

The black knight looked at the hybrid one last time before starting to walk away.

"Acting like a hero won't get you anywhere" his voice echoed off as he walked away.

Xyrea who pretended to be unconscious, started to slowly get up on her feet. I don't want to remember that again she thought while looking at the lock of her cell. She noticed that it was a little rusty and brittle, which she found quite suspicious.

They have time to make these cells magic proof yet they don't even maintain its physical condition. If I have a sharp object right now then I could probably break it in one hit.

She looked around her cell for any objects that she could use. As she looked around, she saw a shining object under her bed. She knelt down, as she grabbed the shining object.

A key? seriously?

The shining object was a silver key with a Terian crest engraved on it. She went back on her feet and walked towards the lock. She closely inspected the key to see if there's any sealed spells on it.

I don't see anything out of the ordinary right now.

She sighed before inserting the key inside the lock.

Here goes..

The lock of her cell opened. She wasted no time as tried to use the key on Xeron's cell but it didn't work.

No good..

She saw Ryen who was awake and tried using the key on her cell. The lock of her cell opened.

"Come, we're leaving this place."

"Huh?" Ryen turned to see the silver haired lady as the door of her cell creaked open. She stood up when the lady told her that they were going to escape. Putting her glove back on her hand, she quietly walked out of the cell to avoid attracting the attention of the guards who just passed by a while ago.

She scanned the area first, then looked at the silver haired lady. Suddenly conscious of the fact that the effects of Corruption were visible on her face, she put on her hood to obscure them. "Where's Xeron?" she asked.

"We're going back to get him later, we need to get armed first" she replied while looking for the armory. "Or we can steal their armor and pretend to be Terian soldiers, we're also gonna get their helmet, of course. She went to her left, seeing the sign that says 'Armory' she proceeded to open the door. As she entered inside, she saw a variety of weapons around including different sets of armor.

A certain pair of short swords caught her attention. The Exarion Twin Fang? she thought, looking at the blades with curiosity. She stopped looking at them after awhile and turned her attention to the hybrid.

"So what's the plan? Do we directly attack or Do we disguise ourselves?"

"Hmm..." Ryen examined the weaponry room and saw a large wooden chest full of miscellaneous objects. She approached and rummaged through it. She then realized these were confiscated weapons and items belonging to the prisoners. Relieved when she found her satchel, "We should try to disguise ourse-" she then spotted a dusty white mask when she pulled out her bag.

She then took it out, dusted it, and wore it. "Directly attack. But let's keep it subtle as possible." She then proceeds to getting herself armed as she took out her weapon and began reading her new spell, 'Sokudo o Otosu'.

"Then its settled" she took the pair of short swords and an executioner mask. "Enfield:Ektre" her eye color changed, turning her left eye pure green and the right one pure black. She was about to leave when she saw a double edged long sword hanging on the wall, she took it with her knowing that Xeron will need a weapon as well. "Let's go" she said leaving the armory along with the hybrid.

On their way out, Xyrea saw multiple armored knights on patrol and they seem to be talking about something. She leaned her back on a wall, gesturing her to do it as well while trying to listen to their conversation.

"Heh, it seems like they took the bait"

"Yeah and they won't be able to hide for long, after the Warden activates the tracking spell hidden within that key. We will be able to track them down"

"And what if they leave the key?"

"Then we'll just simply wait, they'll go back to their friend anyway and if they don't, then we'll just use him to lure them out"

Tch..they used a high level concealment spell on that thing she took the silver key from her pocket and gently dropped it down.

"We're gonna need a plan, any suggestions?" she asked.

"The key has a tracking spell, huh?" Ryen slowly picked up the silver key. She then handed it over to the girl.

"Put this in one of the guards at the back." She gestured at the armored knight tailing behind the group. "I'll use a spell that slows down time, but make it quick and silent. It only lasts for a short time."

"Next, if the supposed Warden will activate the spell, they'll find out sooner or later that they've been tricked. We should be able to fled back to the cells as soon as you dropped the item on the knight and find an exit, assuming they'll shut off all doorways."

"Are you ready?" she asked.

"Yeah" she replied while activating a minor spell called 'Shadow Meld' which allows her to blend in the shadows, for added stealth. She beckoned the hybrid to activate her spell as she proceeds on tailing the guard, placing the key inside their pocket. She returned back to her previous spot. "Let's go get Xeron" she said, heading back to the cells. As they reached Xeron's cell, she immediately slashed the lock with her short sword. Xeron who was about to do the same with a dagger jumped back in surprise. "Come, let's get out of here" she said while handing him the long sword. Xeron took the long sword from her and asked, "Where did you get this?". She looked at him, surprised that he can still ask such a question.

Xyrea just shook her head and walked away. Xeron was about to ask another question but decided not to ask anymore as he proceeded to follow them. While walking, he noticed the masked hybrid who was walking with them. He looked at her closely, noticing her distinct eye color. He distanced himself away from her after realizing that she was the same hybrid that he nearly killed.

Wait, why am I-? he looked at his arms but he didn't see any signs of corruption whatsoever. "If you're wondering who saved you, then its her" the silver haired girl said. "Speaking of which, I never got your name. Who are you?" she added.

"It's Ryen Vornessa." The masked hybrid said, with hands on her pockets. After that stunt they pulled, it's obvious something irksome is bound to happen sooner or later. Her ever-alert feline ears scanned and listened to every sudden sound present in within her hearing range.

Several footsteps of patroling guards, water trickling in the lavatories, murmuring of other prisoners, their own breathing...

Time passed by, then she heard a male voice exclaim.

"What?!"

"Why is the key with you?!"

"Sir, I swear I know I put it in one their cells!"

"You imbecile!" A slamming sound was heard. Then, she heard multiple footsteps started scattering in different areas.

Ryen quickened her pace, and brought out her staff. "They know."

Then, as they were nearing the end of a hallway, she heard metal clanging by the left area. A knight appeared, and Ryen tackled him behind his back. With her arm around his neck, the knight grasped and flailed. She added more force until his breaths turned shallow, and he went limp.

She stood up, and gestured them to follow quickly.

"Oh I didn't kill him, by the way. I suggest you both do the same. Wouldn't want to make things worse."

She turned to the left hallway, and her ears turned to a direction on the right.

"Three knights. On the right." She pointed to a doorway, as multiple footsteps were approaching them.

"What a pain...I'm not really the type to leave my foes incapacitated anyway" the silver haired girl went to her left, positioning herself in the shadows. With shadow meld being active, the knights didn't managed to spot her as she blended well within the shadows. She waited for them to pass her, one of the knights managed to see her silhouette and looked at her. "Malefic Vision" she said softly, activating an illusion spell on one of the knights.

The vision of the knight was altered as he mistook one of his colleagues as her attacking them. "Why you.." the knight raised his sword as he struck him down with his sword. The attacked knight bled as the sword managed to cut through his armor.

"What the hell are you doing!?" one the knights raised his voiced, surprised that he attacked them. The attacking knight ignored him as he proceeded to swing his sword at his neck, cutting it off. The wounded knight tried to slash the attacking knight's face but he managed to counter it. Seeing that the situation went according to plan, she went back to Xeron at Ryen who watched the whole thing from afar. "That should hold them off, let's go" she said as they proceeded to the next area.

Their group was stopped by a sudden earthquake which knocked them off their feet. They decided not to move yet since they will just get knocked down again. Under normal circumstances, people would have immediately fled if an earthquake suddenly happened but that's not the case in Terios. The Kingdom of Terios is known to be immune to earthquakes or any anything similar because the grand magus of Terios placed a strong earth seal around the entire kingdom. Quite similar to how Xarcos is immune to tsunamis and tidal waves.

As the earthquake stopped, the steel gate in front of them suddenly dropped down, followed by the sound of multiple footsteps heading their way. They stood up and tried to head back to their previous location but they got immediately cut off by a black knight along with his army of knights behind him.

"Don't even think of running away" the black knight said.

"And why shouldn't we?" Xeron replied in his 'annoyed tone', showing that he only sees him as an annoyance than a threat.

"Its simple" a black circle appeared beneath the black knight, "Kardia Zavarac" a black sword sigil appeared on their chest.

"If you don't listen to what I have to say, then I will just simply end your lives in a heart beat."

"He's bluffing we-"

"No, he isn't" Xyrea said cutting Xeron off. "Kardia Zavarac is a powerful Dark spell that can kill a person by completely stopping their heart from beating."

"Looks like your friend did their research" the black knight said, raising his hand. The knights moved to the side, clearing the way.

"Follow me" he said as he started to walk, with Xyrea, Ryen and Xeron following from behind. "As you can see, an earthquake awhile ago just happened and it was caused by one of the seven ancients, Vrachos. Now, King Archaios wants me to bring you to him for a request and if I were you, I would behave and not try anything stupid. King Archaios is not someone that you would want to face in real combat." he said while opening the door to the throne room.

"Remember what I said" the black knight knelt down, showing his respect to the king. The throne room was really wide and decorated with rare ores, paintings and chandeliers were hanging on the walls but what caught Xeron's attention was the kneeling mercenaries which he immediately recognized. Their armor was battered down and they were badly injured, to which Xeron just simply smirked at. Not so tough now are ya? he thought, not noticing the fact that he was the only one who hasn't knelt down.

End of Chapter Two

Ancients, are powerful beings that roamed this world, Terraden. They were created by the Dyad, the two Gods who created this world. And now, following the events of the misadventures of these heroes, they find themselves in between troubling pasts, a failed escape from the castle walls, and the brewing of a new threat who had just been Awakened from its ancient slumber, Vrachos, the Golem Ancient of Earth.

Ryen's tail snaked up his arm and yanked him down to kneel. Like, how does he not even noticed that he's standing out in a large throne room in front of the King of Terios himself?

The throne room was a large space with carved walls. Ryen eyed them carefully and saw that they were actually large rocks molded and shaped together with the aid of magic, not plain cement. Carefully designed ores and minerals as the main accessories of the room, glistened under the light of the soft glow of a large, intricately designed yet simple, glass-made chandelier attached high to the stone ceiling.

The King of Terios sat on a silver throne. He seemed to be around the ages of 40 to 50 years, but Royals are known to live far much longer. He bears short curled hair with the color of chestnut and traces of aging silver hair, wrinkles and light scars are seen on his face. His eyes have a unique combination of colors, white and black. Elements of Light and Darkness.

He wore clothing suitable for a Royal, with the color accents of grey, white, charcoal and silver. He also wore several metallic knight plates that surrounds the important parts of his body, as he also bore a long pearl white robe around his neck. His platinum crown consists of small gemstones, simple as the way the King sees fit for himself.

In front of him was a large and long mahogany table stretching from side to side with his scholars and diplomats seated beside him.

Before Ryen could continue wondering in awe, the large wooden doors opened. A gray-caped knight emerged from the entrance, and several knights follow whilst bringing in three men in the throne room. The gray-caped knight stopped with distance in front of King Archaios and knelt down on one knee.

"Your Highness," a deep female voice uttered from the kneeling knight.

"Lady Borrlis." The King acknowledged.

The knight then stood up and proceeded to removing her knight helm. Red, auburn hair fell down unto her shoulders as her face was revealed. Two animal ears peeked out from her head when Ryen realized they were feline, but that of a lion's. Not your generic standard cat. Her eyes bore the colors of red and silver gray, and of course being a feline Demi human, she bears cat-slit eyes and a lioness tail laid still on the carpeted floor she's standing on.

"King Archaios, have you been alerted of the following events that happened today?"

"Yes. I'm afraid so, that the time has come."

"But have you've been informed that the Awakening of the Ancient of Terios has been caused by these three unforgivable men?"

Lady Borrlis gestured the knights holding the men to come forward. The knights held the men tightly as they presented them in front of the king. The three men laid their head low in deep regret. The hybrid knight grabbed one of them on the head, harshly.

"These... three... disgusting imbeciles. Made a HUGE mistake!" She stated firmly, while showing the man's face to the king. The other knights started to murmur in fear, as they know that just by the aura of the Lioness will you start to tremble in fear. The black-haired man she held started to cry silently.

"What do you have to say for yourselves? ANSWER ME!" She shouted on his ear. It almost felt like a roar as her tail started to fidget from side to side, signaling her anger. One of the three men, another black-haired man, hurriedly bowed down on the carpet floor and started to whimper loudly.

"We thought... that... we were... we thought the legend wasn't real..." He whimpered. Lady Borrlis walked in front of him.

She then kicked him violently as his head swerved to the side. Tears started falling faster as his mouth dripped with blood.

"That is enough." King Archaios stated. He then stood up from his throne and walked down to the men.

"Long ago in this kingdom, an Ancient slumbers far from this place in the rocky mountains..." He approached the man who was bleeding.

"And that Ancient's name, is Vrachos. The Golem Ancient of Earth." The King held his hand up to meet the man's face. His hand hummed as it glowed white, and soon the man's bruises stopped bleeding and soon disappeared.

"There were many of them. Their body is made of pure stone. And what is unique about these Ancients, is that they bear four large tendrils on its back, used to shape mountains and form massive landscapes. However..."

"That was eons ago. Now, only one of them remains. Sleeping and slumbering for a long time... until now." King Archaios looked dead serious in the man's eyes. He then stood up and looked at him lowly.

"A law is stated for these Sleeping Ancients. A very crucial one, yet simple to obey. And, that is to never. Awaken. Them."

The King held up his left hand, several smokes between the colors of white and black appeared from it as it materializes into a large silver broadsword, known as the Royal Slivering Blade. Lady Borrlis then proceeds to line the men side by side, as they tremble in fear.

"Failure to obey the commandment, will result in execution by the King himself. Regardless of reason or intention."

He then readies himself. He then closed his eyes and muttered a prayer.

"May the Dyad forgive your souls, for you three have committed a grave sin that condemns the creatures of Terraden."

A slash was heard. Then, one by one, the three men's heads fell to the floor. Their beheaded bodies followed as well. Blood started pooling out on each of their necks, creating a puddle that the carpet soaked with ease. Ryen's tail poofed in fear, as she witness the execution. She looked at the Lioness, but she seemed unfazed by the sight, though some sweat beaded on her forehead. She may be the fiercest, but no one can face the King himself. No one dare to even challenge him as it is considered suicide. Even the King's companions are trembling in fear.

The King sighed, and his broadsword de-materialized from his hand. The blood from the sword dripped off and fell as his blade disappeared. He then walked up to the hybrid knight.

"Take their bodies back to their families. I have other duties to consider first." The King then looked at the black knight, with the three adventurers beside him. Lady Borrlis nodded, and put on her helm. Kneeling once more, she stood up and gestured the other knights to take the men's bodies, they wrapped them in cloth, and carried them out from the room.

King Archaios then walked back up to his throne and sat there. He then looked at the black knight.

"Bring them here." He commanded. King Archaios will also be expecting a full report from the black knight, concerning these adventurers.

"As you wish my liege" the black knight stood up and walked to the center aisle. "The man at the center is known as-" the knight was interrupted by the strong earthquake that suddenly hit the castle. Xeron took this chance and escaped by jumping to the walls, kicking the wall downwards every once in a while to keep him from falling down until he reached a window and jumped off.

He landed hard on the ground, probably breaking a bone or two but he didn't care, he stood up like it was nothing and ran off. The earthquake stopped and the entire castle was alerted by his escape, guards started appear on the main district to search for him. Xeron still continued running towards them as one of the guards noticed and tried to stop him.

"Halt-"

"Primordial Burst!"

A black stream of flames appeared from beneath them, incinerating all the guards. Black flames? he thought as he kept on running. After running for what felt like an eternity, he found the abandoned building that he used to stay in back then. He went inside and collapsed on the floor, seeing the way those three were executed he felt his instinct kick in.

He started to received flashbacks of the past where everyone died right in front of his eyes, along with a mysterious silver haired girl which he can't remember. Although her hair is awfully similar to someone he knows, in fact it could be the same person all along. The one who murdered the ones he cared about and the one that helped save his life.

"Xyrea.." he muttered as he felt his heart beat slowly, feeling a sharp pain in the process. He clutched his chest trying to stop the pain but its not really doing him any good. The sight of the execution triggered his altered state without him being aware of it although it was only on a minimal amount and was immediately removed by the seal effect. Which didn't really do him any good since it only caused a forced rejection inside of him.

"Dammit.." he slowly tried to stand up but his legs gave up on him. "Damn this instability.." he heard footsteps nearing his location.

Great, even a sudden instinct won't save me from this one he thought as another earthquake hits the kingdom.
