Ancients, are powerful beings that roamed this world, Terraden. They were created by the Dyad, the two Gods who created this world. And now, following the events of the misadventures of these heroes, they find themselves in between troubling pasts, a failed escape from the castle walls, and the brewing of a new threat who had just been Awakened from its ancient slumber, Vrachos, the Golem Ancient of Earth.
Ryen's tail snaked up his arm and yanked him down to kneel. Like, how does he not even noticed that he's standing out in a large throne room in front of the King of Terios himself?
The throne room was a large space with carved walls. Ryen eyed them carefully and saw that they were actually large rocks molded and shaped together with the aid of magic, not plain cement. Carefully designed ores and minerals as the main accessories of the room, glistened under the light of the soft glow of a large, intricately designed yet simple, glass-made chandelier attached high to the stone ceiling.
The King of Terios sat on a silver throne. He seemed to be around the ages of 40 to 50 years, but Royals are known to live far much longer. He bears short curled hair with the color of chestnut and traces of aging silver hair, wrinkles and light scars are seen on his face. His eyes have a unique combination of colors, white and black. Elements of Light and Darkness.
He wore clothing suitable for a Royal, with the color accents of grey, white, charcoal and silver. He also wore several metallic knight plates that surrounds the important parts of his body, as he also bore a long pearl white robe around his neck. His platinum crown consists of small gemstones, simple as the way the King sees fit for himself.
In front of him was a large and long mahogany table stretching from side to side with his scholars and diplomats seated beside him.
Before Ryen could continue wondering in awe, the large wooden doors opened. A gray-caped knight emerged from the entrance, and several knights follow whilst bringing in three men in the throne room. The gray-caped knight stopped with distance in front of King Archaios and knelt down on one knee.
"Your Highness," a deep female voice uttered from the kneeling knight.
"Lady Borrlis." The King acknowledged.
The knight then stood up and proceeded to removing her knight helm. Red, auburn hair fell down unto her shoulders as her face was revealed. Two animal ears peeked out from her head when Ryen realized they were feline, but that of a lion's. Not your generic standard cat. Her eyes bore the colors of red and silver gray, and of course being a feline Demi human, she bears cat-slit eyes and a lioness tail laid still on the carpeted floor she's standing on.
"King Archaios, have you been alerted of the following events that happened today?"
"Yes. I'm afraid so, that the time has come."
"But have you've been informed that the Awakening of the Ancient of Terios has been caused by these three unforgivable men?"
Lady Borrlis gestured the knights holding the men to come forward. The knights held the men tightly as they presented them in front of the king. The three men laid their head low in deep regret. The hybrid knight grabbed one of them on the head, harshly.
"These... three... disgusting imbeciles. Made a HUGE mistake!" She stated firmly, while showing the man's face to the king. The other knights started to murmur in fear, as they know that just by the aura of the Lioness will you start to tremble in fear. The black-haired man she held started to cry silently.
"What do you have to say for yourselves? ANSWER ME!" She shouted on his ear. It almost felt like a roar as her tail started to fidget from side to side, signaling her anger. One of the three men, another black-haired man, hurriedly bowed down on the carpet floor and started to whimper loudly.
"We thought... that... we were... we thought the legend wasn't real..." He whimpered. Lady Borrlis walked in front of him.
She then kicked him violently as his head swerved to the side. Tears started falling faster as his mouth dripped with blood.
"That is enough." King Archaios stated. He then stood up from his throne and walked down to the men.
"Long ago in this kingdom, an Ancient slumbers far from this place in the rocky mountains..." He approached the man who was bleeding.
"And that Ancient's name, is Vrachos. The Golem Ancient of Earth." The King held his hand up to meet the man's face. His hand hummed as it glowed white, and soon the man's bruises stopped bleeding and soon disappeared.
"There were many of them. Their body is made of pure stone. And what is unique about these Ancients, is that they bear four large tendrils on its back, used to shape mountains and form massive landscapes. However..."
"That was eons ago. Now, only one of them remains. Sleeping and slumbering for a long time... until now." King Archaios looked dead serious in the man's eyes. He then stood up and looked at him lowly.
"A law is stated for these Sleeping Ancients. A very crucial one, yet simple to obey. And, that is to never. Awaken. Them."
The King held up his left hand, several smokes between the colors of white and black appeared from it as it materializes into a large silver broadsword, known as the Royal Slivering Blade. Lady Borrlis then proceeds to line the men side by side, as they tremble in fear.
"Failure to obey the commandment, will result in execution by the King himself. Regardless of reason or intention."
He then readies himself. He then closed his eyes and muttered a prayer.
"May the Dyad forgive your souls, for you three have committed a grave sin that condemns the creatures of Terraden."
A slash was heard. Then, one by one, the three men's heads fell to the floor. Their beheaded bodies followed as well. Blood started pooling out on each of their necks, creating a puddle that the carpet soaked with ease. Ryen's tail poofed in fear, as she witness the execution. She looked at the Lioness, but she seemed unfazed by the sight, though some sweat beaded on her forehead. She may be the fiercest, but no one can face the King himself. No one dare to even challenge him as it is considered suicide. Even the King's companions are trembling in fear.
The King sighed, and his broadsword de-materialized from his hand. The blood from the sword dripped off and fell as his blade disappeared. He then walked up to the hybrid knight.
"Take their bodies back to their families. I have other duties to consider first." The King then looked at the black knight, with the three adventurers beside him. Lady Borrlis nodded, and put on her helm. Kneeling once more, she stood up and gestured the other knights to take the men's bodies, they wrapped them in cloth, and carried them out from the room.
King Archaios then walked back up to his throne and sat there. He then looked at the black knight.
"Bring them here." He commanded. King Archaios will also be expecting a full report from the black knight, concerning these adventurers.
