She woke up with a jolt. She felt a presence left her surrounding area as she recognized the room she was in. Faint streams of sunlight can be seen, peeking out of the clouds in the morning sky by the open window.
Rubbing her eyes, she tried to recollect her thoughts through the morning drowsiness of dawn. Although the first thing that caught her eye was an empty bed beside her.
"What the- oh yeah, rough night last night... where am I? Oh, I'm in that lady's house... what was her name again? Was it Madame Laloise...?"
"...wait... he's gone again?!"
"Are you kidding me?!", she exclaimed feeling agitated, with hands on her head as she realized the presence that left the area while she was asleep was him. She was about to throw a fit when she saw a note and a small scroll on the neatly folded bed. Picking them both up, she read first the note that stated his gratitude to her for saving him. She was about to open the scroll to read its contents, when her ears twitched towards the direction below, signaling a presence has entered the house.
She stood up to open the door. She then proceeded to check the downstairs area by the staircase to see if someone was there, and only saw Madame Laloise in the dining area arranging a bouquet of hydrangeas.
She let out a meow, which caused the middle aged lady to look up at her.
"Oh Ryen, you're finally awake? How's the young man up there? Is he still sleeping?"
"No, he left actually," Ryen replied as she started to descend down the stairs.
"What? This early?" The Laloise lady gasped, "He didn't even ate before he go?"
"Yeah," Ryen sighed. "Although he did leave a note before he left. Which is, alright I guess... it means he can finally be on his own, while I continue exploring the kingdom!", she grinned at the lady.
"Ahh... one of the joys of being an adventurer." Madame Laloise replied with a smile. "Say, what did he write on his note before he left?"
"Oh wait, I'll get it. Oh, here it is... it says... huh?", she pulled out the wrong note. On the scroll, it stated a fire-type spell under the name, Chrono Blast. With a scorned face, she let out a frustrated sigh. "This belongs to him, isn't it?" She doesn't know any other one who wields the fire element except for him.
"Are you alright?"
"This will be the last damn time I'll be finding him. After that, done. Just. Done. Then after that, I can go back here to rest or maybe help this lady attend her garden thing or whatever." She excused herself from Madame Laloise as she went upstairs to shower, get her weapon and stuff ready, and proceed to follow the scent of the mysterious man to return one of his supposed belongings.
