Radiation Poisoning

  • So many newbies lately! Here is a very important PSA about one of our most vital content policies! Read it even if you are an ancient member!
She got it open a crack and peered out. She couldn't see anything but sand, sand, and more sand. She was about to crawl out but as soon as she stuck her hand out she quickly got it back in and held her hand. It was stinging. Her hand was bleeding a little, just a bit from the storm.
 
Kit smiled and nodded. "Yes. Follow me." She told him then turned and walked to the building. She used her senses to guide her and looked behind her every few seconds to make sure he was following her.
 
"Thanks." He said as he walked behind her. He kept his hand on his rifle, but he didn't raise it. He hoped this mutant wasn't the kind to save people and then eat them.
 
She noticed slight movement. "Kit!" She exclaimed, not giving a second thought.
 
Kit's ears perked up when she heard the voice of Mira. "Mira! I found someone!" She called then quickened her pace. A building came into view and they were soon entering the hole into the darkness.
 
Mira sighed in relief. "Thank goodness you're okay!" She exclaimed afterwards. Her tail waved in delight and she looked at the stranger. "Hello. I'm glad you made it here safely. I'm Mira." She said, smiling.
 
"Mira. Now is hardly to time for introductions." She snapped and led the stranger to the mattress. She forced him to sit and pulled a lot of white bandages from a hidden place in her clothes. She removed what was left of his shirt and began wrapping him in the bandages to stop the bleeding.
 
Mira sank down. She didn't know what she did wrong, so she went quiet.
 
Avo was sort of stunned by their sudden hospitality. Most places would just tell him to piss off, or take half his stuff before helping him. He started to really feel the pain from the sand burns as his adrenaline wore off. He grunted in pain as the mutant put bandages on them. He lifted his rifle from his side with one hand and put the barrel against Kits chest. "Back off." He said through his teeth. He was skeptical that they were actually trying to help him.
 
She whimpered. Mira was sitting down next to the entrance and her tail was now drooping. "B- but mister, please don't hurt her... That's not the way you treat someone who saved you..." She said, quietly again.
 
V immediately stood up at the pointing of the gun, it had to stoop because the roof wasn't high enough. It quickly moved toward Avo, with a growl and raised the dresser in its hand threateningly, the board in front of the hole went flying across the room, and sand poured in whipping around the room in a miniature cyclone caused by the wind.
 
She whimpered and covered her head, shivering.
 
Kit only stared at Avo. She put her hand on the gun, feeling V's anger and flung the rifle aside, along with Avo. She stood up straight in front of him, arms out as though to protect him. "Leave him alone V! And put the drawer back. Want us to die because of your stupidity?!" She growled threateningly
 
She was so scared that she was crying at this point. Her tail wouldn't stay off the floor and she was shaking even more.
 
Tank stood up and said "Steady every one lets not rush this all and dig our selfs in to a hole"
 
V didn't move at first. Its eyes were locked onto Avo, they slowly slid to look at Kit then squinted. After hearing Tank's input and Mira's crying V turned and grabbed the board, putting it in front of the hole again and setting the dresser down. V sat down with its back to them, facing Mira. It watched her silently, eyes casting a glow on her face, with a blank expression.

There was thunder now outside though the lightning wasn't visible, and the rain was drowning out all other sounds from outside. Those taking shelter from the storm couldn't here the class three passing by meters from the entrance, and the scents were drowned out by the harsh odor of the rain.
 
Avo didn't even notice the giant creature was there before it oicked up the dresser. He slowly removed the rifle strap from himself and slid it across the floor. It would likely not take down that behemoth. "Who are you?" He said to the group in general. It was strange that these mutants of great difference were apparently working together. He had never seen that.
 
Kit's eyes shifted to Mira when she heard her crying then switched to Tank as he spoke. Kit returned her cold gaze to V and watched him put the dressed back down. At Avo's question Kit put her arms down and walked over to the bed, sitting down. Her expression changed from cold to kind in seconds and she smiled at him. "Sorry for the late introductions. I'm Kit. The big green gutly over there is Tank. The one that tried to kill you is V. And the one crying is Mira." She told him, looking over them as she spoke. Her eyes returned to him again. "What's your name?" She questioned.
 
She wiped her tears, which were quickly replaced with new ones. It finally registered in her head that V was staring at her, and she tried to stop crying.
 
V continued ignoring the others, they probably had the last human in existence, and he knew there was at least one person who would be very interested in getting him. V flashed a smile at a Mira.
