Plot Discussion (Chapter 2)

Which ruins are you talking about? The ones where Ilsa and Castagarian are now? Or others?

If you need a way in, I have a loose end to tie up. In the prequel roleplay, the convoy that originally escorted Medwick's group were stricken by plague (a plague engineered by the Ghoul Sage). They had to turn back in order to regroup with the healers at Barvelle. I'd imagine they're almost home by now.

But y'know, maybe some of them DON'T have Notable Skills that make them a living GPS. So they got a bit off course. They can be in the area between Barvelle and Tavark, taking a very ill-advised route.

They have a Forest Kin with them who can at least make the plague non-communicable. But they're still pretty fucked up. Some help would be useful. Plus... they know about the Kool Aid Ghoul Sage.

I was referring to the many comparably uninteresting ruins that I was under the impression dotted the Pegulis landscape?

Running into that lost convoy sounds like a pretty good way to go though, so we should get working on leaving Tavark and finding them?

Map-wise that doesn't seem too plausible. The convoy has barely left Aldus which is waaay across Pegulis from Tavark.

I believe we're talking about a different convoy.

Ilsa's doomed convoy is nowhere near Tavark as you say, but this is a convoy that lead Medwick to the Ghoul Sage's tower in the time before the Mass rp.. if I understand correctly?

Oh, this is going to be fun :D

PSA Time Kids!

Asmodeus and I are going to be out of town for a week on a much needed vacation. We will still be around in the evenings to check in on everything; making sure that applications are still getting taken care of and that the IC isn't exploding. Though our rate of posting in the IC will be a little bit slower.

But despair not! The lovely and capable @Diana and @Jack Shade will be keeping an eye on things in the plot for us (thanks guys!). So if you're stuck and can't get a hold of us, they can help you out.

Have fun guys! Stay the Hell out of my stash! :D

Well I can't really tell so I'll just wait until Jack brings me in if he still wants to or the convoy thing.

So should I just post whenever Im able or wait for everyone involved in my part of the rp to post? Just wondering.

*Puts on a paperhat that says "GM" on it*

As long as you're not Being That Guy(Code of Conduct post #2) and the velocity of your posts becomes more of a hindrance for the other players involved then; no, probably not. Go ahead and post.

You need more patience in a mass RP then you would in a regular one, LOTS OF PLAYERS AND STUFF. =)

*crawls to the keyboard, wracked with altitude sickness and hangovers*

KAUSTIR: We need the next day described. We'll be entering the toxic desert around Dorgrad. The expedition should have brought something to help them NOT DIE, like breather masks, veils soaked in chemicals, a chewable herb that immunizes the airways. Whatevs. You'll start to see magma lakes to the south and belching volcanoes, and there'll be occasional storms of acid rain. Be creative. It's a nightmarish place around Dorgrad. And when I get back I'll describe the end of the 3rd day, where we arrive at the entrance to Dorgrad. So for now, just travel and interact. A good theme for this journey is "Hoshit, look what that ancient war did to our land! Those gods dun fucked up our crib!"

PEGULIS: Expedition dudes, could you find something like this? It'll be a hollow sarcophagus heavily embellished with weird stone architecture. Lying in it will be a fossilized exoskeleton, about twice the size of a man. This is the Utandis Cradle. Any historians or linguists among you may find numbers and letters carved on the sarcophagus that are reminiscent of many languages (Viridosi, Pegulis, Kaustir). And to avoid question bombardment, I give you permission to be as creative as you want with this discovery. Just don't have it come alive, and don't have it reveal the FULL AND COMPLETE SOLUTION TO THE WORLD OF SUNNE. Keep it mysterious, and then I'll have the thing do something when I return.

VIRIDOS: While Ironblood parlays with the pirates, the rest of us should slowly begin noticing the troubled skies. This is what Sprig was warning you about in his last sentence. The fish are scattering. Birds are deserting the trees and flying out across the sea. If you look far to the west you will see a stormy horizon, with the occasional lightning strike of magic. This is the Avian city breaking apart. There will also be smoke plumes from where larger rocks have struck parts of the forest. This is the wake-up call that you need to get back to Viridos as soon as possible.

Yeah, things are a little held up on our side, as was anticipated. I'll get Ironblood off that pirate ship and then we can all hightail it back to Hosia for more HO SHITS.

*Looks at trashed ship*

*Looks at passed out Sprig*

*Looks at Konkon*

*Looks at falling city in the distance*

*Looks at ocean*

*Looks at ship*

*Looks at Konkon--*

*Is bludgeoned*

To the people in Kaustir, in Amalia's caravan:

The scene, as I wrote it, is pretty much done. Unless there is something specific you want to outline, there's not much need to rehash it in your post. Instead try to use what I wrote to jump off, much like how I used the current going ons of the caravan to provide a confidence boost to the General. I did a bit of mind-control over your characters, but kept it respectful and as in character as I possibly could.

I just edited my post. I forgot to include Gluzar's assistant Lochan in the group.

Ari is Arina in case people didn't catch that. Her name is too similar to Arania and Amalia, so I decided to shorten it if only to keep me from going crazy.
