Nihil sighed at Valentine's comment. Poor new kid. She watched as Ken opened the door and looked around. "Sheesh, hurry up," she said. And what was with the commenting? Wasn't this supposed to be a stealth mission? Apparently Nihil had made the wrong assumptions about this whole thing. She let the others pass in front of her as she unlocked the top part of her cane, snickering at Yuji's comment about Lucelle and muttering, "heh, same," as he entered the building.
Nihil was one of the last few to pile into the church, just before Osada. She had a feeling that whatever was in there wasn't going to be nice. She scanned the outside darkness out of paranoia, as if she thought someone was going to jump out and attack the group from behind. Satisfied with finding nothing, she huffed and followed the others through the door, one hand still on the top of the cane. If everything all went to Hell, she'd hopefully have some sort of defense with this. She followed the other's steps, hiding behind the bleachers. While everyone else seemed intent on watching whatever was going on, Nihil looked around, making sure nobody was spying on their spying. It wasn't uncommon for her to be a bit jumpy at night, especially since oftentimes she was stuck alone in her large, old house.
Though she couldn't see that well from her position, she could hear just fine. This appeared to be some sort of cult, and the priest's words piqued her curiosity. Above all of that, did they notice that the church door had opened? She hoped not. Nihil managed to look over and steal a good look at what was going on before retreating back to her makeshift post. Apparently they didn't notice, or if they did, they weren't making a big deal about it. Then she saw Osada. That idiot. What was he doing? She gave him a confused, exasperated look and mouthed, 'are you stupid?' Apparently he was. Yep. There he went. Nihil watched him scurry off to do whatever it was that Osadas did in creepy churches. She figured he could handle himself. Probably. Hopefully. She didn't want to carry back a body bag. Well, at least Yuji was sort of with him. Survival in numbers, and all that.
And so, Nihil decided to watch and wait, cane clutched in a death grip. She figured she was the only one not engrossed enough in the whole thing to actually keep watch.

Takako's first day of school was relatively uneventul, minus the weird text she got after school. Something about an old church? She didn't really read the entire thing. Still, it seemed worth it to check it out. Who cares if it was a school night? She can rest when she's dead.
Getting out of the house wasn't the hard part. Her parents were pretty heavy sleepers, and they probably wouldn't even notice the spare set of keys gone if one of them woke up. Takako took her bicycle and started on her hopefully new and fun journey through the night. She stopped a ways away from the church, noticing a small group outside. They looked like they were about her age, and although she couldn't tell, a couple of them even looked familiar. Maybe they went to her school! And one of those girls looked like she was probably a lot cuter up close than far away. Takako waited until they all piled into the church before getting closer and deciding to look for herself. Placing her bicycle near the entrance, she walked up to the doors.
The other group seemed cautious, so she slowly opened one of the doors, only to be met with cold, blue eyes staring her down. She didn't know it, but Nihil was so on edge that she would have skewered her if she didn't realize that Takako was about the same age as everyone else. Takako didn't even have time to open her mouth before she was grabbed and dragged behind the bleachers by the girl.
Those blue eyes stared deep into her soul, and Takako couldn't suppress a shiver. They were almost lifeless. The girl whispered to her, "Okay, I know this is sudden and we don't know each other, but something weird is going on, and we'll need to be quiet until we know what it is, got it?"
Takako nodded. As soon as she entered the building, something just seemed off about this place, so she decided it would be best to listen. Getting a better look at this girl, she realized that it was the infamous Sugiyama Sourpuss herself. She was about to ask more questions when she noticed what appeared to the the priest's ramblings. She scooted over to take a peek at what was going on and watched in confusion. She wasn't an expert, but she was pretty sure this wasn't how normal church-related ceremonies worked. She looked back at Nihil with a questioning face, but was met with a shrug.
