Round One: Into the Woods

Poor Stanley Pines - it looked like he wasn't getting any customers, while Kaiki was getting all of them. The scene, if it hadn't already before, had taken a chaotic spin. As though it hadn't been enough having all of these people flooding the interior of the shack, they now had all crowded around to get weapons and creatures to assist them, to a point where there were next to none left. But hey - almost everybody was now armed, excluding a choice few that appeared to have weapons of their own or simply preferred to work without one.

With all of this going on, Mabel could only sigh heavily and release her hold on Soos, dropping nimbly to the ground and landing on her feet. She didn't have time to listen to all of this. She had a brother to find, so why would she care about some stupid weapons? Even if she did know where Dipper was and if he was okay, she could always borrow Wendy's axe to mess around with, anyways! With all of that in mind, the girl silently trudged away from the group, vanishing into the mysterious and eerie woods without a word to the others. If they were too caught up with their trinkets to help, she'd find Dipper, herself. Maybe she could even get the gnomes to help her... Assuming, of course, they weren't still pissed about the whole leaf-blower thing, or the little spat that they dragged them into with Gideon.

Oops.

Not yet noticing this, a certain redhead had wandered outside and joined the group, casually glancing over the scene. The whole thing was definitely odd, but there was certainly weirder around. "Uh, guys? I don't know what weird and shady over here's biz is, but shouldn't we be, y'know... Finding Dipper?" she asked, reaching into her pocket to grab something. Having produced what looked to be some sort of keys, she spun them around on her finger, looking to the group expectantly. "I could even give some of ya a lift in the golf cart." Granted, she had never really studied for driving anything, but they didn't need to know that!

"Excellent idea!" exclaimed Ford, the fantastical weapons and animals being handed out suddenly losing his interest. "While you all look for young Dipper, the astute Lalonde and I shall figure out just what to make of this mess! Primary order of business will be to do some adjustments on the portal and get everyone to their proper place."

Lalonde almost wavered on her feet at the gravity of the task laid out before them, but she managed a gracious nod despite her discomfort.

"Hopefully we can be done with this quickly and avoid any unnecessary complications. If someone has indeed manipulated events to pull all of us together, let us hope things don't go as planned."

With that, the pair descended back into the basement of the Mystery Shack to get to it.

"Righttt... You do that," Wendy whistled, less than sure of just what the pair were talking about. After all, she was still a little out of the loop when it came to Ford and his shenanigans, let alone with Lalonde thrown into the mix. "..Anyways, we should all fan out. I can take some of you to the lake, some of you can check out the woods. If we don't find anything, I know a few other places the guy might be." With that, a click of her tongue and a classy snap followed by a finger point, Wendy hopped into the golf cart behind the wheel.

While Wendy hadn't mentioned it, there appeared to be a mountain with some sort of cave available. Weird....

Zinnia folded her arms, tapping her foot on the ground when Kaiki stated that any currency she were to leave behind would be fine. Before she could speak, however, the man became distracted with someone else and seemed to forget her. A small smile crossed the woman's face before she glanced to Aster, sharing what almost appeared to be a telepathic conversation with her. She then gestured toward the door with her head, before quickly scooping up her familiar and making her way to the door with it. She didn't leave a cent of her pokédollars with the man. That's how she rolled.

It was shortly after Zinnia had made her great escape that Wendy offered to take them to a few different locations. Although most of her companions seemed to be interested in the lake, Zinnia wasn't so sure about it. As she grew and trained throughout most of her life, the lorekeeper had spent a lot of time in caves. She was familiar with them and felt most comfortable with them. Not to mention, the cave was connected to a mountain. If they could climb it, even just a little bit, they would get a better view of the area.

"If any of you are interested in coming along, Aster and I intend to check out the cave. I have a good feeling about it," she told the others, her tattered cloak flapping behind her as she turned to head in that direction. Her companion Aster scurried along after her.

The virus began to pull Hideo along with her to the cave.

"... fine. Just... don't drag me like that."

Max was glad she carried a rather sizeable amount of cash with her, or... Well, embarassingly enough, that she had forgotten to keep this stuff in a safer place with she withdrew it from a bank the evening before. She was able to pay for a Staff of Illusions. She had been practicing for a while, first with some basic combat techniques (she was glad she had begun to take up fencing earlier in the year), and then, attempted to create her first illusion... A doe, not unlike her spirit animal she was still able to catch a glimpse of occasionally... It flickered a little, but, it was a doe alright, blue and translucent, almost ghostly... Like she had remembered it...

"Damn! Maybe I need more practice..." Max thought, to herself, as her illusion quickly faded.

Well, maybe she just needed to concentrate on forming an illusion some more... Her thoughts drifted back to Mabel, and her lost brother... Wait, Mabel... Where was she? Max looked around, just in time to catch Mabel heading towards the woods, she had already gained alot of distance between the others by this point.

"Hey wait up! Don't-" Max wasn't even able to finish her sentence before Mabel disappeared in the woods...

"Oh no... What do I do now?" Max thought to herself, she wasn't sure if she could even run that far...

Fortunately, she didn't have to wait long; it looks like everyone else was also joining the search for Dipper, and... Wendy was willing to give them a ride in her golf cart! Without hesitating for even a moment, Max ran as fast as her legs could carry her, practically vaulting onto the golf cart with Wendy.

"Can you take me to the woods?" She asked, slightly out of breath as she spoke... It looked like she was in quite the hurry to get there.​

"Tis a shame really....After he got back he devoted all of his time to researching servants.... After Donny left to join his village again I started travelling with him..." Inigo spoke giving an idea of what happened after Crimson Moon....

Ryner nods slightly "I tried to do the same thing, pal" And with all the power he had, he couldn't manage what Lon'qu had "I suppose I should congratulate you, huh?"
"All I succeeded in doing was..." he pauses and raises a hand up to his eye, frowning gently "Well, you did it, and that's what matters"

This world seemed to be mostly dismissing this warnings of the Murder Games for now, or at the very least be delaying it. Not a wise move, but ultimately there wasn't much he could do to stop it. Besides, them dying wasn't any skin off his teeth, so after retrieving his bow among the confusion he left them to the crowd of others forming. Gilgamesh having wandered off noticed that Lonqu and Saber were also gone. He eventually stumbled into Lonqu talking to now yet another familiar face. Approaching from behind Ryner he slapped him on the shoulder and said "And yet another Veteran returns! This turning out to be quite a reunion party!".

"Ah, of course, how kind of you to grace us with your presence" Ryner murmurs as he "I should have known there'd be more of us from the last game...if I came here to help, there had to be at least one other person"
"Unless you didn't come here on purpose, Gilgamesh" he adds, his eyes narrowing in thought for a moment. Could this all be a coincidence? Surely the odds of that were tiny!

Dean looked at Sam. "We're checking out The Cave. Kids like to hide in caves, they like to explore. Maybe he just got lost in the cave."

Sam seemed to agree. They picked up their weapons from Kaiki, and headed towards the Cave.

As Zinnia noticed who happened to be heading along to the cave as well, she smirked. "Hey, crybaby, I hope you're not afraid of the dark... or bats," she said, honestly hoping that he was. It would be nice to get another good laugh outta him. : |

Zinnia also happened to notice two gentleman, Sam and Dean, carrying badges who were also heading to the cave. She bit her nails, glancing to them nervously. After a moment--hoping they weren't watching--she rushed over to Wiruko and Hideo to try and hide behind them. "Don't let those police officers see me. They're probably looking for me. I stole one of those cute creatures," she told them, holding up her adorable fuzzy wuzzy kittykins puffball that she stole from the store.

Round One: Into the Woods

Poor Stanley Pines - it looked like he wasn't getting any customers, while Kaiki was getting all of them. The scene, if it hadn't already before, had taken a chaotic spin. As though it hadn't been enough having all of these people flooding the interior of the shack, they now had all crowded around to get weapons and creatures to assist them, to a point where there were next to none left. But hey - almost everybody was now armed, excluding a choice few that appeared to have weapons of their own or simply preferred to work without one.

With all of this going on, Mabel could only sigh heavily and release her hold on Soos, dropping nimbly to the ground and landing on her feet. She didn't have time to listen to all of this. She had a brother to find, so why would she care about some stupid weapons? Even if she did know where Dipper was and if he was okay, she could always borrow Wendy's axe to mess around with, anyways! With all of that in mind, the girl silently trudged away from the group, vanishing into the mysterious and eerie woods without a word to the others. If they were too caught up with their trinkets to help, she'd find Dipper, herself. Maybe she could even get the gnomes to help her... Assuming, of course, they weren't still pissed about the whole leaf-blower thing, or the little spat that they dragged them into with Gideon.

Oops.

Not yet noticing this, a certain redhead had wandered outside and joined the group, casually glancing over the scene. The whole thing was definitely odd, but there was certainly weirder around. "Uh, guys? I don't know what weird and shady over here's biz is, but shouldn't we be, y'know... Finding Dipper?" she asked, reaching into her pocket to grab something. Having produced what looked to be some sort of keys, she spun them around on her finger, looking to the group expectantly. "I could even give some of ya a lift in the golf cart." Granted, she had never really studied for driving anything, but they didn't need to know that!

"Excellent idea!" exclaimed Ford, the fantastical weapons and animals being handed out suddenly losing his interest. "While you all look for young Dipper, the astute Lalonde and I shall figure out just what to make of this mess! Primary order of business will be to do some adjustments on the portal and get everyone to their proper place."

Lalonde almost wavered on her feet at the gravity of the task laid out before them, but she managed a gracious nod despite her discomfort.

"Hopefully we can be done with this quickly and avoid any unnecessary complications. If someone has indeed manipulated events to pull all of us together, let us hope things don't go as planned."

With that, the pair descended back into the basement of the Mystery Shack to get to it.

"Righttt... You do that," Wendy whistled, less than sure of just what the pair were talking about. After all, she was still a little out of the loop when it came to Ford and his shenanigans, let alone with Lalonde thrown into the mix. "..Anyways, we should all fan out. I can take some of you to the lake, some of you can check out the woods. If we don't find anything, I know a few other places the guy might be." With that, a click of her tongue and a classy snap followed by a finger point, Wendy hopped into the golf cart behind the wheel.

While Wendy hadn't mentioned it, there appeared to be a mountain with some sort of cave available. Weird....

Zinnia laughed. "I joined and helped them revive a creature so deadly it started a drought that could've killed many, many people." She waved a a hand. "I intended to stop the drought though. I'm not that much of a horrible person. Killing is the one crime I don't like committing. My goal is to save lives, not end them," she added with a shrug.

But oh yeah, did I look good in that Team Magma uniform!

Well, that was the nature of a virus, so in a way, her crimes could be seen as petty as well. She didn't kill, that's for sure, but maybe she could be stealing really confidential information. Either way, Hideo got the whole idea that everybody here was in that type of stuff.

At the same time, Wiruko's Catsune gave a cute meow.

Aran quickly swiped some Daggers off the table, liking that they were a two handed weapon, similar to boxing gloves to that extent. It was his dream, why bother paying for it?

As he got them he overheard three people talking about crimes. Ah, this was his bunch of folks! He strolled beside them, noting the strange cat...thing the carrot top had. "So, you lot heading for the cave too?" He asked the dark haired girl in particular, guessing she was the leader of what he could only assume was the band of thieves. Always wanted to get in good with leaders of organized crime, you did.

Aha. So he was being dragged into a cave with the others, huh? Well, that was fine. That was perfectly fine. You can't see what groped you in the dark, but Koyomi could see what to grope in the dark. After all, despite being just a former vampire, he was able to retain some of their powers, one of which being the ability to see in the dark.

So his hand "accidentally" squeezed Wiruko's bon-bon.

Then he whistled innocently.

"Ahem."

But if there was somebody he was not fooling, it was first and foremost his blonde vampire companion, who made sure that he knew she had seen him act with a sharp clearing of the throat, to Koyomi's surprise as he'd look over to the side.

"Eh?"

He could only blink in surprise, standing still as a statue for a brief moment, like a young child caught with his hand in the cookie jar. This crime was sorta comparable to that, right? Yeah. Right. Look, this kind of behavior was perfectly normal. After all, tons of people have little stress toys that they carried around to squeeze in their hand, some shaped like apples, some shaped like oranges, some shaped like baseballs, and some that were just flat-out... buttocks.

But perhaps he wouldn't get a chance to say any of that, assuming it'd make anything better for him.

"So it seems that even in unfamiliar lands, your behavior will remain familiar. I can take comfort in that, I suppose, even if it could be more... civilized. But I shan't hold my breath."

Aha. So she was finally awake.

Well.

This was either very fortunate for Koyomi, or very unfortunate. It was probably somewhere in between, considering the things he had said and done in the short time that she had been unconscious, but... Well, that was on him, wasn't it?

Still, he kept quiet, giving a nod as he waited for the smaller girl to say what was on her mind.

Evidently, it had seemed that upon awakening, Shinobu had somehow managed to snake her way out of Djeeta's sight, reuniting with Koyomi just like that. Shinobu wasn't used to being so out in the open like this in this form. It was quite irritating, but, as much as she didn't like deception at the expense of pride, Shinobu decided that perhaps she could take advantage of the facade of a cute, defenseless little girl and see just how long she'd be able to keep it up.

But one step at a time.

"In any case... Shinobu, you were at least awake when you saw us being chased by the darkness, right? I thought that we were done with that, so why was it back?" He inquired, getting back to the topic at hand.

No. That was wrong. The last time the darkness swallowed him up, he ended up in a different place in time. A different world. Right now, he was in... America, it seemed. Granted, there was no telling if this happened to be the very same world as home, but it was good to hope, right?

"No, that's wrong. The darkness did not return. Another just took its place. Another darkness from another origin," Shinobu spoke, not seeming to pay the other people in the cave any mind, "I am afraid that even I am in the dark in this situation."

It was quite frustrating to be powerless like this in this kind of situation, but of course, the worst thing to do now was to panic. To lose composure.

...

Yare yare.

This was perhaps one of the bigger messes Koyomi had found himself in. And he had been in plenty of messes before. Oh, well. Perhaps the reason why he was so calm was because it didn't involve a cute girl out to kill him. That somehow put him at ease. The other cute girls here also put him at ease, even if he knew he was gonna be totally faithful to Senjougahara.

"Good grief. A true enigma. A riddle that can only be solved through more clues, which I assume is the reason why we're here," Koyomi murmured mostly to himself, "I need something to squeeze to comfort me," he said, before extending his arm to reach something, and then--

WHAM!

With a punch that packed enough power to shake the whole cave a little and knock Koyomi right into the wall, it had seemed that the superhumanly strong little girl was able to prevent another instance of his perversion.

"I don't think so."

Though he would hit his head on the wall with quite a loud sound, it would seem that despite the small "Guaggh!" yelp that was more out of surprise than anything else, Koyomi was miraculously unharmed, not even rubbing the back of his head as he'd look up at Shinobu with quite a fearful expression on his face, like a peasant cowering before the master.

Admittedly, he was something of a switch, but that wasn't relevant at the moment.

K-Kowai.

"... Scary."

How was he going to live now if he wasn't able to touch anyone? Err, anything.

Ryner nods slightly "I tried to do the same thing, pal" And with all the power he had, he couldn't manage what Lon'qu had "I suppose I should congratulate you, huh?"
"All I succeeded in doing was..." he pauses and raises a hand up to his eye, frowning gently "Well, you did it, and that's what matters"

"Ah, of course, how kind of you to grace us with your presence" Ryner murmurs as he "I should have known there'd be more of us from the last game...if I came here to help, there had to be at least one other person"
"Unless you didn't come here on purpose, Gilgamesh" he adds, his eyes narrowing in thought for a moment. Could this all be a coincidence? Surely the odds of that were tiny!

"It took a lot of trial an error but finally we pulled it off....." Lon'qu spoke remembering some of his failures at trying to summon Saber.

"Er..Perhaps we should get moving..... I would like to check the woods... If I were a kid that's where I would go..." Inigo would suggest to those around him...

A trip to the caves would require a small detour through the forest. Though caverns were plentiful in the area surrounding Gravity Falls, it was the the cave structure closest to the Mystery Shack that Wendy had sent the group. These were the most often visited by the Pines twins on numerous occasions, so it was hopefully the place where Dipper would be.

Incoming close to their destination, the group would come across a lone tent set up between a half-circle of trees. A fire pit was housed just inside, with two logs laying next to it. It seemed there were signs of it being used recently, made evident by a lone bike leaning against a nearby tree.

The group could continue on, or they could stop and search the tent.

Jack eyed the strange vehicle that Wendy now sat behind the wheel of, distrust within his heart. However, after a moment, he shook off his concern about any possible danger regarding it given that one, he was not the driver, and two, for only the second time in his journey, he wasn't in any sort of danger as he rode along. "Please, to the lake then, Miss Wendy," And just like that, he took a seat upon one of the carts' available seats.

Alex looked over and noticed everyone getting up to go find someone called "Dipper". Truth be told, just like everything else going on here, Alex couldn't give less of a shit about the kid, as he has other things on his mind. However, its not like Alex has much else to do besides swing his new axe around and look at some of the useless shit inside the shack, so it seemed he didn't have much of an option. Whatever was going on in Gravity Falls, Mercer wanted it done as quickly as possible, even if it involves hacking off some heads to get this shit over with.

Without a word, Alex approached the cart heading for the Lake and sat next to Jack. He hasn't been in a vehicle for awhile now, since he can navigate himself around New York City quite effectively using his own powers. This is a learning experience for everyone, kids!

Max was glad she carried a rather sizeable amount of cash with her, or... Well, embarassingly enough, that she had forgotten to keep this stuff in a safer place with she withdrew it from a bank the evening before. She was able to pay for a Staff of Illusions. She had been practicing for a while, first with some basic combat techniques (she was glad she had begun to take up fencing earlier in the year), and then, attempted to create her first illusion... A doe, not unlike her spirit animal she was still able to catch a glimpse of occasionally... It flickered a little, but, it was a doe alright, blue and translucent, almost ghostly... Like she had remembered it...

"Damn! Maybe I need more practice..." Max thought, to herself, as her illusion quickly faded.

Well, maybe she just needed to concentrate on forming an illusion some more... Her thoughts drifted back to Mabel, and her lost brother... Wait, Mabel... Where was she? Max looked around, just in time to catch Mabel heading towards the woods, she had already gained alot of distance between the others by this point.

"Hey wait up! Don't-" Max wasn't even able to finish her sentence before Mabel disappeared in the woods...

"Oh no... What do I do now?" Max thought to herself, she wasn't sure if she could even run that far...

Fortunately, she didn't have to wait long; it looks like everyone else was also joining the search for Dipper, and... Wendy was willing to give them a ride in her golf cart! Without hesitating for even a moment, Max ran as fast as her legs could carry her, practically vaulting onto the golf cart with Wendy.

"Can you take me to the woods?" She asked, slightly out of breath as she spoke... It looked like she was in quite the hurry to get there.​

Leaving Light and unsure what else to do with herself, Pearl climbed into the back of the golf cart heading toward the lake, looking shell-shocked.

Winking at the group who had joined her with a grin on her face, Wendy gladly started up the cart, ready to take the others to the lake. "Alright, looks like the party cart's fillin' up fast," she remarked. "Now, let's get rolling!--.. Huh?" Oh - looked like another girl had hopped on board. Shrugging dismissively, the teen responded accordingly. "Sure, why not?" And, with that, the teen zoomed forward... Less than a foot. "Woods are on your right, man. And your left. And preeetty much all around us."

After dropping Max off, Wendy saluted with her hand... Before promptly slamming her foot on the pedal, taking off at full speed ahead.
