Chapter 2: Broken Shield

As the votes were finalized, it became clear that Ulysses and Soul would be the ones being sent back to the HQ. Ludger nodded and talked into his communicator. Everyone's communicators would beep as a flash of light would surround the pair. They appeared to stretch, their bodies being pulled up ward to a single point above their head. All at once, they seemed to snap into this point, and disappear.

"We'll know the results soon enough!" Leia exclaimed. "And, hopefully, they'll be back by our side soon enough as well. Now... we gotta explain a few things! Ludger, I assume the shadow is the divergence catalyst?"

"That's right," Ludger said, nodding.

"Right, okay, you see..." Leia looked around at everyone. "Most worlds are parallel version of other worlds... In fact, there's very few that aren't, when it comes down to it. This one's no different, and so it has something divergent about it, something that's like... the source of an alternate universe's alternate history, or a person that's totally different than their counterparts. This is the divergence catalyst, and it's really gotta be found and destroyed so we can leave!"

"If the dimension is prime, I can move freely from it, if it's parallel, this process must be done. In this case..." Ludger stood at the ready, for he could sense what was on the horizon. Thomas' shadow appeared over the village, and was aiming to move toward the huts.

"It's the shadow, whatever it is. It must be killed so we can leave."

Ludger's form changed before your eyes, what appearing to be a kind of exoskeleton shell appearing over his right arm and leg.

A spear formed in his hand, and the man made a yelling leap toward the shadow. "I got this one!"

The shadow cared little for the Coalition soldiers, allowing Ludger to easily strike through it. Passing through to the other side, a glowing object was now impaled on the end of Ludger's spear. The object shattered, leaving a shadowy residue.

And just like that, the shadow, the village, and the entirety of ruined New York broke away around you like glass.

The blackened clouds flickered with static, appearing like sparks in the sky, and a great wind ripped through the atmosphere. The clouds seemed to align afterwards, forming an image or dark red, white, and blue rings—a star at its center. The group didn't have long to admire the eerie view before the shattering world around them broke faster and faster into more pieces.

Whether you tried to run away for your dear life or ignore the world shattering around you, eventually you found your attempts to escape the abyss in vain. Blackness engulfed your vision and you found yourself frozen in place until the world suddenly began to reform before your eyes.

In the blink of an eye, a new world appeared before you. It was a city—similar to the last one the group had been in—but different. To any members of the group who were familiar with the planet Earth, they would immediately recognize it: the city was that of New York. Wait... hadn't they just been in New York?

The sky was dark. Ash rained from the clouds and the city was quiet, like a barren wasteland. The tall buildings looked ravaged, war-torn, and deteriorated. The only newer looking structures that could be seen were foreign looking towers—emanating a glowing light—that did not seem to be human in origin. No signs of life could be seen anywhere at first, until the sound of feet marching toward the group could be heard.

A strange group of alien creatures suddenly appeared from dusty streets of the city pointing mysterious weapons at the group. One of the members of the group, Emily Grimes, was a little too close to the aliens at them of their arrival. Wary of her, they instantly shot her with one of their weapons, a fine green beam vaporizing her body into dust instantly. Afterwards, the group moved forward and spoke in a language unrecognizable to anyone. One of the aliens stepped forward, translating so that everyone could understand them.

"All of you are unidentified life forms. We demand each of you to immediately surrender yourselves to the Chitauri and forfeit your weapons to us. Should you resist, you will be executed immediately. Should you comply, you will be escorted to our holding chamber for unidentified life forms, located in Central Park. What say you?" the alien asked, looking out toward the group.

There were a few likely options the group had to decide upon. What would they select?

A. Fight the Chitauri aliens For all you know, they could be defeated in battle. If so, you would be free to explore the city a bit longer. Unless more aliens came to attack you or you were injured, of course…

B. Surrender to the Chitauri Nobody in the group has a clue how many aliens they might face. It could be a long, difficult battle. And should they succeed, what would they do next? Just because they could explore the city didn't mean they would find anything. And the alien's offered to escort them somewhere that might be useful…

C. Run You many not be strong enough to fight the aliens, but you don't want to be captured by them either. After all, they just killed Emily! Plus, who knows what kind of dangerous place they could be taking you to?!

Players, you may each select one option to start. The option you select will determine what will happen to you as you start off in the city. A map of all possible places of exploration will be revealed shortly. Good luck.

Also, Coalition communicators may now be used to contact Makoto whenever you wish. They also may be used between duos for the two to communicate between each other. But ONLY duos.

Booker stood wide eyed when he saw Emily get gunned down by the aliens. Booker sneered and pulled out the hand cannon, ready to fight the aliens.

A smirks as Travis lightly touch the Queen's hand. Walking smoothly past her towards Max.


"So your friend of there kissed that ratchet ass bitch, and everyone lost their minds? Has no one here ever seen Skinemax?

"Travis! Prioritize!"

Max implored urgently, gaze darting around the ruined New York square as the aliens demanded their surrender. She didn't even have time to explain herself to Chloe, it all happened so fast, and now... She tried to weigh their options as fast as she could, her eyes frightened and skitterish like a horse's as her gaze rapidly darted around, noting the position of everyone she knew in relation to the aliens. She wished she could fight, but she wouldn't have been any good to them. Her rewind was too messy for full-scale group warfare on the level of what was about to go down, and she'd probably just eat a laserbeam to the face before she could even think about turning back time, anyway. That left surrendering and running as her two options, and if at all possible Max would've liked to avoid rolling over for more maniacs with guns... it looked like they could make a break for it, but they needed some kind of distraction--

All those sights, whether of the duel being interrupted by the prima donna celebrity, the two making out over there, Archer's fetish face or the very surroundings around them warping, the reaction was the same.

"What. The. Fuck??"

And then suddenly he was in the Avengers. Those aliens...if Black Widow could kill em, he sure could. "Heh heh heh. Oh man, this movie is a classic. And this is going to be fun. Excuse me, let's skip the fucking talking." He smirked, charging forward at the alien that was translating for them and summoning his shield at the same time...

Aiming to knock it backwards onto the ground so he could shoot it point blank in the fucking face.

Yeah... that worked.

Banking on the chaos created by Felix's sudden attack, Max grabbed Chloe's upper arm and spun her around in the opposite direction before booking it, choosing to run. Hopefully some of the others followed suit.

"You don't have to ask me twice." Crusader replied she too stepping forward.

"Agreed. I did not avoid voting for myself to avoid a fight, especially with one that would so callously cut down one of our own." Alice growled darkly as Shanghai and Hourai took flanks on either side of her.

"I loathe to simply overpower my enemies. There's no skill involved. But you lot are a bit more powerful than a group of deluded cultists, and that means I can update my forces accordingly! LANCER CONTINGENT A, TO THE FORE!" The puppeteer barked with a snap of her fingers.

There was a sheen of light, and suddenly ranks upon ranks of the little dolls were behind her, about a full touhoulevel's worth almost a hundred of the little warriors, all armed with shield and spear as they stared down their foes

"You have three seconds to surrender to us before I strike" She stated calmly. And barring them surprisingly Alice greatly and actually surrendering, she gave a curt nod at the first 'no' or shot fired in her direction before she swung her hand and gave the order "Hourai, lead your sisters. ATTACK!"

The dolls charged, with only shanghai staying behind as she leveled her shield between Alice and the enemy fire

Before everything went and got turned on it's head and then spun around like a beyblade, Chloe was shaken from whatever remaining influence Ridley may have put on her when Travis approached and made his comment. "Hey, fuck you Travis!" Where did he get off saying that the girls she kissed were ratchet with his Johnny Knoxville lookin ass???

But then there was pain and darkness and as Chloe's vision came to, she saw that she was what appeared to be New York. Yeah, still looked pretty shitty. Okay..? But then there were Aliens from the Avengers and they were aiming guns and holy shit this way out of her league. If she had been the one Riley had offered his assault rifle too, she may have stayed behind to kick some alien ass, Doomguy style but noooo. She was perfectly content to gtfoing. As Max spun her around, Chloe quickly RAN alongside her friend in trying to get the hell away from this crazy ass scene.

Also, no she wasn't grateful for Felix's distraction. Dude was still a dick in a can as far as she was concerned. :|

Edit:Also holy shit that was a lot of those 0_0 dolls. She hoped they made it out of this okay. They were tiny but badass as you could get.

"Oh sweet. It's about time. ... Well, I suppose not exactly time. Soon though, I guess?." With that, Revya raised her sword..... and slid it along the ground towards the aliens. Whistling, she followed after it, walking while her allies proceeded to unleash the hurt. Hah. These idiots. Didn't they JUST get done searching through an empty town? Did they enjoy it so much that they wanna do it again? Going along with these fellows seemed much more entertaining.

Walking up to the translator guy, she put her hands behind her back. "So yeah. I surrender I guess. Probably should get me out of here. Doesn't look like the others are having the same thoughts." Yeah. Revya you crazy. Shame to whoever thinks like you.

But Yeah. That's right. Remember that red-head who punted a skyscraper earlier? Well, she's surrendering to the alien forces. Ya'll should probably make sure you don't attack anywhere near her, or someone might get hurt.

The only newer looking structures that could be seen were foreign looking towers—emanating a glowing light—that did not seem to be human in origin. No signs of life could be seen anywhere at first, until the sound of feet marching toward the group could be heard.

A strange group of alien creatures suddenly appeared from dusty streets of the city pointing mysterious weapons at the group. One of the members of the group, Emily Grimes, was a little too close to the aliens at them of their arrival. Wary of her, they instantly shot her with one of their weapons, a fine green beam vaporizing her body into dust instantly. Afterwards, the group moved forward and spoke in a language unrecognizable to anyone. One of the aliens stepped forward, translating so that everyone could understand them.

"All of you are unidentified life forms. We demand each of you to immediately surrender yourselves to the Chitauri and forfeit your weapons to us. Should you resist, you will be executed immediately. Should you comply, you will be escorted to our holding chamber for unidentified life forms, located in Central Park. What say you?" the alien asked, looking out toward the group.

There were a few likely options the group had to decide upon. What would they select?

A. Fight the Chitauri aliens For all you know, they could be defeated in battle. If so, you would be free to explore the city a bit longer. Unless more aliens came to attack you or you were injured, of course…

B. Surrender to the Chitauri Nobody in the group has a clue how many aliens they might face. It could be a long, difficult battle. And should they succeed, what would they do next? Just because they could explore the city didn't mean they would find anything. And the alien's offered to escort them somewhere that might be useful…

C. Run You many not be strong enough to fight the aliens, but you don't want to be captured by them either. After all, they just killed Emily! Plus, who knows what kind of dangerous place they could be taking you to?!

Players, you may each select one option to start. The option you select will determine what will happen to you as you start off in the city. A map of all possible places of exploration will be revealed shortly. Good luck.

Also, Coalition communicators may now be used to contact Makoto whenever you wish. They also may be used between duos for the two to communicate between each other. But ONLY duos.

There were steps being taken toward the aliens, hands raised in the air. "I surrender. Do not fire." Max wasn't the intrusive type. She really wasn't. Nor was she the prejudiced type, for that matter. Love was all the same to her; the gender so did not matter. The last thing she wanted to do was to cramp Chloe's style, but when she found herself taking a cursory glance around while all the craziness surrounding the fight went down to make sure her best friend was okay, and saw her getting comfy with... with... with whatever that ratchet Paris Hilton acolyte was supposed to be, part of her immediately knew something was up. It had to be. No way Chloe was that easy. She wasn't the type to just... swoon over the first skank who sashayed up looking like she just got off working the night shift at Hooters! So what if that trashy blonde looked good in short shorts? This was just... all wrong.

Her suspicions aroused, Max had swiped through her Coalition communicator to find Ridley's dossier, her bright blue eyes narrowing as she checked out the siren's abilities. She knew it! The bitch was totally... aphrodisiacing her best friend! What the fuck?

She had stood up to go over there and point out as much... except when her eyes fell on Chloe and Ridley again, they were making out. Making. Out. MAKING OUT. MAAAAAAAKIIIIIIING OOOOOOOUT. HELL TO THE NO. If this were a romantic comedy, this is where the sound of glass breaking off in the distance could have been heard to get across how awkward the scene was becoming. Chloe didn't much care for the reactions the others had given, from Legolas's wide eyed :O stare to the blushing from others and 'oh mys' None of that shit even registered to her. What did however register to Chloe was a hand gripping hers and her kiss with Ridley being broken as she was dragged off.

Chapter 2: Broken Shield

As the votes were finalized, it became clear that Ulysses and Soul would be the ones being sent back to the HQ. Ludger nodded and talked into his communicator. Everyone's communicators would beep as a flash of light would surround the pair. They appeared to stretch, their bodies being pulled up ward to a single point above their head. All at once, they seemed to snap into this point, and disappear.

"We'll know the results soon enough!" Leia exclaimed. "And, hopefully, they'll be back by our side soon enough as well. Now... we gotta explain a few things! Ludger, I assume the shadow is the divergence catalyst?"

"That's right," Ludger said, nodding.

"Right, okay, you see..." Leia looked around at everyone. "Most worlds are parallel version of other worlds... In fact, there's very few that aren't, when it comes down to it. This one's no different, and so it has something divergent about it, something that's like... the source of an alternate universe's alternate history, or a person that's totally different than their counterparts. This is the divergence catalyst, and it's really gotta be found and destroyed so we can leave!"

"If the dimension is prime, I can move freely from it, if it's parallel, this process must be done. In this case..." Ludger stood at the ready, for he could sense what was on the horizon. Thomas' shadow appeared over the village, and was aiming to move toward the huts.

"It's the shadow, whatever it is. It must be killed so we can leave."

Ludger's form changed before your eyes, what appearing to be a kind of exoskeleton shell appearing over his right arm and leg.

A spear formed in his hand, and the man made a yelling leap toward the shadow. "I got this one!"

The shadow cared little for the Coalition soldiers, allowing Ludger to easily strike through it. Passing through to the other side, a glowing object was now impaled on the end of Ludger's spear. The object shattered, leaving a shadowy residue.

And just like that, the shadow, the village, and the entirety of ruined New York broke away around you like glass.

The blackened clouds flickered with static, appearing like sparks in the sky, and a great wind ripped through the atmosphere. The clouds seemed to align afterwards, forming an image or dark red, white, and blue rings—a star at its center. The group didn't have long to admire the eerie view before the shattering world around them broke faster and faster into more pieces.

Whether you tried to run away for your dear life or ignore the world shattering around you, eventually you found your attempts to escape the abyss in vain. Blackness engulfed your vision and you found yourself frozen in place until the world suddenly began to reform before your eyes.

In the blink of an eye, a new world appeared before you. It was a city—similar to the last one the group had been in—but different. To any members of the group who were familiar with the planet Earth, they would immediately recognize it: the city was that of New York. Wait... hadn't they just been in New York?

The trip is instantaneous, and thankfully nothing goes wrong with the transport.

Ulysses and Soul stand inside the Coalition's interior, removed from the craziness of before. The door opposite of them opens, and out steps Captain Commander Kieran, who is flanked by armed guards. "If you're innocent, then you both have nothing to worry about," he said. "These men will search you for any weapons we aren't aware of in your possession. To make this easier, please surrender your equipment."

It all happened so fast that Aqua could hardly comprehend it. The destruction of the shadow, the world around them breaking into glass, before finally the world around them... changed. When the blackness that overtook Aqua's vision faded, she found herself and their group in a familiar, yet new location. It was the same city, yet with slightly different surroundings. This baffled the keyblade master. What exactly had happened?

When the Chitauri killed Emily in front of everyone, Aqua frowned and shot the aliens a glare. They were killers, apparently, and already proven to be hostile. Aqua immediately didn't trust them. She didn't want to surrender herself to anyone who was going to mercilessly kill people from her own group. The master's weapon materialized in her hand with a glow of white light.

"I choose to fight," she affirmed, holding out her weapon. "I won't stand by and let them simply harm anyone in our group. I will not allow that."

"My sentiments exactly." Storm replied stepping forward.

"You don't have to ask me twice." Crusader replied she too stepping forward.

Riley cocked the Gauss Rifle, and ducked behind a taxi. "I am with you there. This is a time for fighting." He laid his rifle on the taxi front, tapped a few buttons so he was in his Power Armor, and prepared to fight.

All those sights, whether of the duel being interrupted by the prima donna celebrity, the two making out over there, Archer's fetish face or the very surroundings around them warping, the reaction was the same.

"What. The. Fuck??"

And then suddenly he was in the Avengers. Those aliens...if Black Widow could kill em, he sure could. "Heh heh heh. Oh man, this movie is a classic. And this is going to be fun. Excuse me, let's skip the fucking talking." He smirked, charging forward at the alien that was translating for them and summoning his shield at the same time...

Aiming to knock it backwards onto the ground so he could shoot it point blank in the fucking face.

Got it. Charizard and Blastoise has it covered. Red still had Pikachu out, the mouse pokemon on his shoulder, but let Charizard and Blastoise prepare themselves for the fight.

"Good. Let's fight these freaks!" Lapis says as she activates her mark, her eyes becoming radiant blue and a figment of her hair turning blue.

Booker stood wide eyed when he saw Emily get gunned down by the aliens. Booker sneered and pulled out the hand cannon, ready to fight the aliens.

"I loathe to simply overpower my enemies. There's no skill involved. But you lot are a bit more powerful than a group of deluded cultists, and that means I can update my forces accordingly! LANCER CONTINGENT A, TO THE FORE!" The puppeteer barked with a snap of her fingers.

There was a sheen of light, and suddenly ranks upon ranks of the little dolls were behind her, about a full touhoulevel's worth almost a hundred of the little warriors, all armed with shield and spear as they stared down their foes

"You have three seconds to surrender to us before I strike" She stated calmly. And barring them surprisingly Alice greatly and actually surrendering, she gave a curt nod at the first 'no' or shot fired in her direction before she swung her hand and gave the order "Hourai, lead your sisters. ATTACK!"

Jupiter and Storm were in. "We are fighting too!" Storm's rings glowed once again, ready to kick some alien butt.

@Option A: Challenge the Chitauri aliens

Those who bravely stood forward to challenge the Chitauri aliens were met with a small hoard of them. There was at least one alien for every person to fight, maybe more. It was a smaller hoard than expected, but it was still quite possibly a dangerous fight.

Oh, and those who attacked already or flirted with the aliens did no damage yet. Silly humans, wait for instructions! ;)

"Foolish humans. You really think you can take us on? Face our wrath! Chitauri, get them!" cried the leader of the small pack. Wielding strange guns and rods of some sort, the Chitauri came toward those who challenged them!

Rules: Each challenger will face a single chitauri alien. The players will have an HP bar consisting of three lines, as will the aliens.

Each player will role the forum dice. 1-3 will be a 1 damage attack and 4-6 will be a two damage attack. Once the player has rolled, the chitauri will roll, and so on. Every time a hit occurs, the player or the chitauri will take away one line from their HP bar. The first to lose all three lines is defeated. (Players will only be knocked out) If the player wins and chooses to fight another alien, their HP bar will be restored to normal. If more than one player challenges only one chitauri, another single chitauri will join the fight to make it a fair number. But if at all possible, lets try to keep it 1 V.S. 1. This will be a fairly quick event.

Stitch felt himself trying to run before the city crumbled jumping the best he could till he went blind. He then fell and hit his head many times till the city changed. "Ugg..." He stated holding his head. He looked up and saw Jake beside him also looking hurt but maybe more than himself. For Stitch was fluffy and there for such a fall didn't really affect him. "What now?" He asked blinking at the aliens. Stitch didn't want to be a prisoner but he also wished to see Lilo again.

Jake noticed everything falling and shifted he did alright for a while then went blind like many others. He then fell thankfully in his dragon form. When he hit the ground he immediately shifted back to the human boy Jake Long. He was breathing and could hear Stitch and heard that they could use the communicator's but where he would go he seemed to only have one choice in his condition. Jake would have to be dragged but he couldn't fight these aliens. "S...Sti...Stitch....Maybe they can help...." Was all he managed to say before blacking out.

Stitch went to Jake and lifted him up. "Alright... Stitch surrenders." He looked to the boy he was dragging. "And so does Jake Long." he stated. Stitch looked at the men. "Now if Stitch and Jake go with you. You must help Jake." He stated knowing Jake would need to return to his grandpa, dog, family, and friends.

"Oh sweet. It's about time. ... Well, I suppose not exactly time. Soon though, I guess?." With that, Revya raised her sword..... and slid it along the ground towards the aliens. Whistling, she followed after it, walking while her allies proceeded to unleash the hurt. Hah. These idiots. Didn't they JUST get done searching through an empty town? Did they enjoy it so much that they wanna do it again? Going along with these fellows seemed much more entertaining.

Walking up to the translator guy, she put her hands behind her back. "So yeah. I surrender I guess. Probably should get me out of here. Doesn't look like the others are having the same thoughts." Yeah. Revya you crazy. Shame to whoever thinks like you.

But Yeah. That's right. Remember that red-head who punted a skyscraper earlier? Well, she's surrendering to the alien forces. Ya'll should probably make sure you don't attack anywhere near her, or someone might get hurt.

Joshua Graham decided on a strategy. Behind schedule vehicle, his hand lay on the Light, then extended it outward and put the safety on, leaving the pistol tucked deep into the back of his pants. "I surrender!" He looked at the Wanderer in his suit of power armour. "When the time comes, fire at them. You'll know, Wanderer." There were steps being taken toward the aliens, hands raised in the air. "I surrender. Do not fire." Breathing deeply, hoping his plan would work, he stepped closer and closer until he was infront of them.

The chitauri grin in satisfaction—at least, you think that's a grin on their faces. As aliens they were difficult to read. But nevertheless, the non-humans seem quite happy with the group who wished to surrender.

"Hands behind your backs, humans," one of the aliens demanded, walking around to each survivor and cuffing their hands behind their backs. "We're pleased that you made the right decision. Your punishments will be a lot easier on you for cooperating," he said, urging the survivors to move into a straight line formation and start walking. Where the chitauri were taking the players, none of them knew…

What was there to do next?

1. Continue walking and move along quietly to where the chitauri take you.

2. Speak with the chitauri. Maybe they'll tell you where they're taking you, or more about this world… perhaps even give hints as to where the divergent catalyst is…

3. Break free! Screw this, you'd much rather kick some alien ass! You decide to join the other survivors who had challenged the chitauri.​

Max implored urgently, gaze darting around the ruined New York square as the aliens demanded their surrender. She didn't even have time to explain herself to Chloe, it all happened so fast, and now... She tried to weigh their options as fast as she could, her eyes frightened and skitterish like a horse's as her gaze rapidly darted around, noting the position of everyone she knew in relation to the aliens. She wished she could fight, but she wouldn't have been any good to them. Her rewind was too messy for full-scale group warfare on the level of what was about to go down, and she'd probably just eat a laserbeam to the face before she could even think about turning back time, anyway. That left surrendering and running as her two options, and if at all possible Max would've liked to avoid rolling over for more maniacs with guns... it looked like they could make a break for it, but they needed some kind of distraction--

Yeah... that worked.

Banking on the chaos created by Felix's sudden attack, Max grabbed Chloe's upper arm and spun her around in the opposite direction before booking it, choosing to run. Hopefully some of the others followed suit.

Before everything went and got turned on it's head and then spun around like a beyblade, Chloe was shaken from whatever remaining influence Ridley may have put on her when Travis approached and made his comment. "Hey, fuck you Travis!" Where did he get off saying that the girls she kissed were ratchet with his Johnny Knoxville lookin ass???

But then there was pain and darkness and as Chloe's vision came to, she saw that she was what appeared to be New York. Yeah, still looked pretty shitty. Okay..? But then there were Aliens from the Avengers and they were aiming guns and holy shit this way out of her league. If she had been the one Riley had offered his assault rifle too, she may have stayed behind to kick some alien ass, Doomguy style but noooo. She was perfectly content to gtfoing. As Max spun her around, Chloe quickly RAN alongside her friend in trying to get the hell away from this crazy ass scene.

Also, no she wasn't grateful for Felix's distraction. Dude was still a dick in a can as far as she was concerned. :|

Edit:Also holy shit that was a lot of those 0_0 dolls. She hoped they made it out of this okay. They were tiny but badass as you could get.

You feel running away from the chitauri is your best bet. You certainly don't want to go with them and fighting them isn't your best bet either. You'd much rather live to fight another day!

The players who choose to ignore the chitauri's wishes and run away, quickly rush off into the distance, hearing the voices of the angry aliens shouting at them. Anyone who glances over their shoulder sees the aliens not chasing, but instead boarding alien hover crafts to use in order to fly after them.

Uh oh. Those guys could be a problem. Nevertheless, you press onward! As you run, you hope fate will be on your side and you won't run into any events along the way…

Notice to all the running players: Six pre-written events have been numbered by the GM. In order for your character to move on, you must roll the dice once on your next forum post. The number you select will determine what happens next to you. Good luck! And may the dice be ever in your favor!

Claire's heart took a leap at the sight of the aliens, and Claire felt a chill run down her spine. She had been through hell and back, but she was still just a regular woman. If the adversaries had been zombies, monsters, or even some biological monstrosity, Claire would have eagerly thrown her lot in with the fighters. But... aliens with advanced technology? She'd watched as they killed the girl, Emily, with ease, and Claire knew she'd fare no better against such a threat. Her adrenaline already soaring, Claire joined the others making a break for it.

"Go! Go!" she yelled, trying to sound encouraging for Chloe and Max. Claire just sounded frightened. She dared to take a look behind her, and she felt like laughing at the sight of the hover crafts. "Come on!"

"...Huh. Not as many as I expected but still should be something. Been a long while since I've killed aliens." He grinned, thinking back to the great war, matching Locus kill for kill. This was still going to be fun. "I call dibs on the ugly one!" He remarked. And since they were all ugly as fuck, he just waited for one to step up, readying his blades and guns. Some mano e mano action...great.

And once one did...he whirred into motion, launching a knife blade thrown at it's torso.
