Gods of the Universe

Joviziah leaned back as more of the gods (and the goddess) filtered in. Kalliste he had had the honor of meeting her only once or twice, which in a god's lifespan meant practically never. Love had never been his things. He travelled through dreams, but his domain was nightmares; he only knew of love in a secondhand manner, and frankly it didn't seem his type of thing in any case. He had been told she was beautiful; he, never one for attraction to others, didn't see it. Of course, she was a goddess; that in itself demanded some respect. Her attendant, not so much. He liked the un-divine too, but generally not as equals.

Xai... there was a sort of respect there, too, and not just for being a god. He was a brute, to put it one way, and generally not tactful, but he was dependable. You needed something gone, you called Xai. Or at least provoked the target civilization to make some sort of offensive statement about him. Like poor Dakkistan. They might've deserved it, but what a fiasco that had been. And, even if Joviziah didn't like it, he was sort of like him. Joviziah might be far less violent, but he was not well versed in subtle manners when something was to be done too. Subtlety was for Gold.

Lycros, now, he had always seemed a moderately not rotten apple in the divine bunch. Joviziah liked memories; he held onto his as best as he could, and when he went dreamwalking, he caught many of the memories of dreamers. There had been that thing, a while back (which for him either meant a decade, a century, or millenia). A mortal? He hadn't been paying attention much at the time; rumors among his agents, not much more. But Lycros never seemed too bad. He hoped it had ended well for him.

Joviziah took another drag of his cigarette. He knew why they were here; it was the only possibility he could see. All these gods, with either no experience or negative ones? These meetings were not exactly an annual occurence, much less once a century for that matter. Of course, he had been paranoid about the return of the Demi-God for awhile now. Maybe it was just him.

"Somewhere in California," he said, directing his comment to Xai. "A gathering of strong warriors, a few with abilities of thr unique variety. A good recruiting ground, from what I hear." He had thought of betting in the tournament, but seeing Gold and Gorron again was making him reconsider. Gold always seemed to bet right, and Gorron had a way with warriors, to put it simply.

Interactions: Xai @TyranntX

"I don't think its quite in your league." Gold spoke rashly to Xai, sliding the cards down his sleeves until he was left with only one. He twirled the card on the peak of his index finger, giving a showdown stare to Xai. The power of bonded tongue was Gold's weapon of choice. Gold launched the card with amazing speed directly to Xai only for it be intercepted by Gold himself. Gold also had the power of being the fastest. He was merely a couple feet away from Xai, the card between his two fingers, a sly smile spreading on his face. "I mean, I don't think you could keep up." Gold teased, in hopeful attempts to kill his bright mood.

Gorron sighed, brushing his beard with his hand. He had placed many bets against Gold before. Nothing wrong with friendly competition. In fact he has beaten Gold more than once, given the fact Gold beat Gorron more than can be counted. But Gold isn't unbeatable. Gorron pondered for a second, studying the glaive of Xai. He strolled over, opening his hand. The Grand Arsenal danced around his arm, sliding to his palm. With a bright flash, The Grand Arsenal opened, revealing a wheel of artifacts and relics. Gorron swiped his hand across the various tools of greatness like swiping through a smartphone. Tool after tool they kept cycling around through an endless circle until Gorron finally stopped motioning his hand. He lifted the glaive, holding it up to the Grand Arsenal, releasing his hold of the glaive. The glaive gently glided into the Grand Arsenal, becoming coated in a golden blanket. Gorron clapped his hands together, the majestic opening of the Arsenal closing immediately, reforming back into the sphere. The sphere returned to simple orbit around Gorron, continuing its cycle.

With all of these gods gathered together it was no that a fight could start, just as what was beginning to happen. Lycros had no interest in fighting himself, even though he did enjoy the occasional action story. So instead he backed away into one of the corners, and watched the events unfold.
As he sat there he couldn't help but think about his feelings towards the other gods there.
Seeing as how Gold was drawing much of the attention in the room Lycros' first thought of him. Gold was one of the few gods he didn't like, he was vulgar and he had never seemed to like anyone other than Gorron. Lycros had also thought that he had to prove his dominance to everyone on the room, which Lycros had never quite understood.
Then there was Xai, who Lycros liked quite a bit. Sure he was violent and unpredictable but when you need a friend he was always available, not to mention that you did not want to get on his bad side.
A few paces away stood Kalliste, Lycros had never really known her but had an immense amount of respect for her and the domain that she watched over.
Out of the corner of his eye Lycros saw Gorron pick up Xai's glaive, a truly terrifying weapon. Gorron was an admirable man some one dedicated to his work, and truly selfless.
And finally there was Joviziah, Lycros related to him quite a bit, at least when it came to their domains. In reality though he was a crafty individual with a web of agents everywhere, but when you get past that he could be pleasant enough to be around.

[Xai] @The Crimson Crow , @Viral , & @zuuca_ [Galgiel King of the Gods (NPC)]

Xai looked over to Joviziah, "In that case I'll defiantly take part if the king approves of my plan" He said feeling even more overconfident. This mad Xai feel more, reassured for lack of a better word. Then again he did love to fight so maybe he was just looking for some one to spar. But if that was the case why was he entering the tournament? And what was this plan of his plane anyway? His attention then turned to Gold, who was showing off his speed... again, Xai didn't even flinch. instead he simply laughed "Speed is one thing Gold..." he paused for a moment and then Pointed directly at the sky to reveal a bright red mass of energy witch crackled like a thunderstorm and even jolted out black electrical discharges. Xai's grin only grew bigger as he refocused his attention back to gold. "Power, is a completely different game." he said as the energy mas slowly vanished out of existence.

Xai then focused his attention on the King's Throne. As Galgiel faded into the realm sitting high and mighty upon it. He was at least 100 feet tall, and looked as if he was in his 70's. Galgiel grasped his golden scepter and called out to the other gods. "It seems this is all who could make it this dark and terrible day" his voice echoed through the palace. Galgiel then ordered all of the gods to form a row and spoke once more. "Today, our worst fears have come to light, Dreahyedron has declared war on the mortal relm and seeks to claim earth as his palace." He paused for a moment and then lowered his scepter and created an orb of some kind witch granted foresight of Dreahyedron himself.

"In his current state, he is too weak to pass escape his prison. But he has been creating an army who is not bound by the spell witch keeps him trapped. Allowing him to spread chaos, corruption, and fear though out the planet. Dreahyedron can feed on this, and accelerate the recovery of his power." He paused again and raised his scepter and dissipated the orb. It was now clear why they have been summoned. But Xai knew this already, he knew his brother wouldn't take his punishment lying down. I was only a matter of tome before he had to fight him again, question is will the King approve of his course of action? The king spoke out once again "We can not prevent the Demi-God's arrival, he will make his way to the mortal world one way or another. So we need a plan of how we are going to handle him AND his army of demons once and for all. I look to you for suggestions my children."

[Lisa] @TerribleName [Sabrina & Shauna(NPCs)]

As the stool rocketed toward Sabrina it 'bounced' off of a barrier of some kind, and went rocketing in the other direction past Kaitlyn and smashed in to the wall behind her. Shawna the dropped her jaw in shock, she didn't even see that coming and neither did Lisa. "DAMN girl, did you have that thing up since we got in here? Can't say I blame you in a place like this." said shauna. Sabrina then Stood up from her seat but still kept her focus on her friends. "I agree, some one with that kind of power can't be normal. But the again neither are we." Said standing up from her seat. She then glanced over towards Kaitlyn, and in a rather unsettling Instance Lisa slowly began to smile. "Even if we let you pay for our drinks We aren't into that kind of... Girl on Girl stuff. Well Sabrina Might be into it but not Shauna and I." Lisa said with a rather, relaxed tone. As if she wasn't even scared, as if the raw power of this woman meant nothing to her. Lisa has fought powerful people in the past, and most of those with physical strength seldom posed a threat to her.

Shauna stood up as well and bummed a cigarette, and Lisa snapped her fingers to create a small flame cor her friend to use to light it. "Thanks boss" she said as she escorted Sabrina outside, for what reason people didn't seem to know. Lisa remained where she was, still standing her ground she spoke out. "I don't know what we did to upset you, but if it's about that chard pervert then you can forget about apologies" Se said as she took another swig from her drink.

@TyranntX

Joviziah stepped forward off the wall, spiriting his cigarette away to places unknown. "Well, if I may..." he took his hat off, and then, unsure as to where to put it, put it back on. He checked that his form was still completely human looking before continuing.

"Last time the Demi-God was here, he subjugated the mortals. Bent them to his worship, if I recall." He did recall, perfectly. "I submit that, at least as a step in a larger plan, we make that much harder for him."

A bit more confident, he took another step forward, spreading his arms slightly. "We have all had our areas of influence. But we generally keep each to our own. I forward that we seize one of our most valuable assets, which is the population of mortals at our disposal. A few of us already command at least a not insignificant amount of soldiers-" he was referring to hinself, but his eyes did flick to Gold for a second; there had been rumors about hiw many men were under his employ "-but, if we work together, as a pantheon, we can hold a much larger percentage of the whole population."

"It's been a long time since the Demi-God fought us, but we must not forget his power." He fought the urge to rub his scar again. It was messy looking, but actually wasn't that big. It was mostly psychological; as a shapeshifter, he hadn't had any permanent features for millenia, then suddenly there was just the one he could never get rid of, a stubborn reminder. "We will have to cooperate, fully, to defeat him."

"My plan involves us making a grand appearance on Earth, all coordinated. Whatever it may be - hijacking government airwaves to broadcast, appearing at televised events-" here he was thinking of the recently mentioned tournament "-as long as we are seen. We must show them our power and let them know that we, at least for now, are assuming direct control. Before you were here, sir, we were talking about a tourney. This makes a good appearance, as I believe it is a widely watched event, not to mention we could recruit directly from it. There will, of course, be dissenters. I believe that I myself can deal with them, both personally and through my agents. The point is, technology and the ability of mortals have come far, and I believe that under our command this could prove useful."

He took a few steps back, going quiet and leaning back against the wall.

@TyranntX

Kaitlyn was never phased when someone lacked fear for her. After all, those people never survived a fight with her, nor did they even stand a chance. They were most often either insane or accepting of their impending death. Kaitlyn reckoned that with this girl's confidence, however, she must be the former.

She only barely paid attention to what the girl was saying, although did catch the bit about how they weren't interested in anything girl-on-girl. But she was more interested in thinking about this girl's abilities. There was an invisible shield around her that she didn't know the limits of, and she could apparently conjure fire. But aside from that she was probably pretty normal; after all, she didn't react to the bar stool until a moment after it was deflected by her shield.

"The women who insist they're straight are the ones who enjoy my company the most," countered Kaitlyn, just as calmly. Though, her tone was a lot more amused than Lisa's was despite the fact she didn't crack a smile. "But, let me guess what you're thinking... Something about brain over brawn, right? Strong people are nothing before you. They're mere insects. All that jazz. Right?" At that point, she grinned a little bit. "But I've always thought that brain has its limits, too. What if you're a few feet from an atomic bomb?" She stepped forward and leaned forward, her face level with Lisa's and inches away. "What if you're a few inches away from an atomic bomb? What, then? Think that little barrier -" She flicked at Lisa with enough force to knock a car on its side. "- is gonna hold up?"

The woman stepped back and grabbed her bottle of brandy, taking a brief swig. Delicious; she loved the burn! Then, she glanced back, and saw Toby coming back from his phone call. "Hey, you might want to clear out," she told him idly. "Unless you want to be turned into ground beef." The man blinked, then laughed, and waved to Kaitlyn as he stepped towards the door.

"Don't get too rough, now," he cautioned playfully. "This is your favorite joint, right? Wouldn't want to destroy it." He lingered in the door, glancing between Lisa and Kaitlyn with a wide, insane smile. "I would watch from across the street, but, well, I'm sure I'll hear about this fight on the news. Ta-ta." And then he slipped out, and Kaitlyn rolled her eyes and took another swig before setting down the bottle.

She held up a finger to Lisa and said, "Just one second." In less than a second, her shoes, socks, and pants were all stacked neatly on the counter, and now she was clad only in her tank top and black running shorts that reached an inch above her knees. "Do you have any preference for speed? I'll move anywhere from a hundred to three hundred fifty miles an hour. I'm accurate down to half a mile an hour, so any number is fine."

[Lisa] @TerribleName

Lisa's body bursts into flame at the contact point of where Kaitlyn flicked her. I was clear to Lisa that this woman had no idea how her powers work, or even who's powers are who's. She was however impressed that the woman didn't get burned after hitting her. "Aw how cute, The drunk think's she's people" she said.,as she her self started to become engulfed in flame from the point of contact. Even most of her face had become fire. She then started to laugh, what this woman was saying amused her greatly. "First of all, That barrier was Sabrina's... Not mine" She said as a flaming appendage garbed hold of one of the bottles and caused it to start to melt. "Second, No matter how strong you are.... Or rather say you are. Not even you can punch fire." She continued, still retaining her confidence. Lisa then powered down for a moment and moved over to Kaitlyn's Table and sat on it. "Third, It doesn't matter how fast you are, my 'Fire body' is completely instinctual for lack of a better term. If I my self am not fast enough, then it will become fire on it's own. in short physical power doesn't work on people like me and my friends." She looked down at the table and saw a flyer for the upcoming tournament. Has this woman been thinking about participating? with her kind of power she would defiantly be able to make it to the final 16. Lisa would toy with her a bit more but she knew that she has already overstayed her welcome. "Aaand fourth..." she paused as she held the flier in front of Kaitlyn. "Save it for the Tourny, No one important is going to care about your victory if no one's around to see it." said Lisa, as she dismounted the table, burst into flames and vanished from sight.

[Xai] @Viral @zucca_ @The Crimson Crow

Xai looked over to the nightmare god and spoke his mind. "That's not too far off from my plan. Not all of us have... Student's... like you do. But we could always find some of our own." Said Xai as he stepped forward. this was it, the big plan Xai was talking about was going to be made clear. Xai spoke clearly and with confidence, it was now or never and Dreahyedron isn't getting any weaker. "The universe is full of interesting mortals to say the least, But Earth is the world that is in the most immediate danger. So I propose a hybrid plan of mine and Joviziah" He went on, making adjustments to his own plan and added implements of The nightmare god's plan. "The Tournament would be a good place to start our search, but we should look for those who have powers of their own, something for them to build off from... As we train them our selves and help them grow even stronger! Help the attain powers FAR beyond their limits." He then paused for a moment, for this was the catch to his idea, one that may or may not be the best course of action for the time being. "But, We should keep our Identities, as well as dreahyedron, secret. Take from me when people know about their impending doom they will panic. Panic means fear, fear means chaos, chaos means corruption. And all of those will make my fool brother ever so powerful, thus speeding up the process of his arrival" He then stept further forward. And then changed his tone to a more serious, and more concerning one. "Look, I don't have the best rep with many of you. but If we take to this plan I will be in need of all your help. The Tournament is a good start but it's not enough to fight thousands of demons. So please... I ask of you... Will you help me do this?"

Lycros had a thought their ideas were good but they could use some back up , that's where he comes in " If I may your plans both have their merits, but how will we prove that what we say is true? You see a few of us have some power over the mind," he throws a look to Joviziah " what if we used those powers to prove it? We could show the people what happened the last time Dreahyedron reined over the Earth. If not we must at least give them some show of our power." After sating his mind he stepped back in line.

Kaitlyn nodded a bit to herself as she burst into flames, and then grinned a bit when it was revealed that the barrier wasn't Lisa's. So, her powers were a little more tricky than Kaitlyn first imagined. But so what? Fire was puny, compared to her. Honestly, this girl's show of confidence was pretty amusing! She thought that fire was enough to kill Kaitlyn. Laughable. Especially given that this girl didn't seem to remember how many weaknesses fire had. Water and, well, a lack of air.

She considered her options. Well, she didn't have any immediate options. Maybe she could try imitating those superheroes; she could run around really fast, create a tornado and thus a vacuum. Or suck all the air from around Lisa with her powerful lungs... She could definitely punch hard enough to create a blast of air, which was essentially punching fire.

But unfortunately, the flame girl was intent on running away instead. Anticlimactic, and disappointing, to say the very least. Kaitlyn pouted lightly... Just when she found someone interesting! Who gave a damn about the validation of "important people?" All that should matter in a situation like that was having a good time. But, apparently, that flame girl was going to be at the tournament... So, hopefully the matchups would be such that they would face off. Of course, if there were other interesting people there, as Toby had told him, maybe there would be other folks that would put up more fun fights.

She stepped outside of the joint and heard sirens in the distance; they must have taken Toby's call seriously and sent out an ambulance for the charred man. His life would be fucked up, of course, with all those third-degree burns, but at least he'd be alive. And she spotted Toby on the other side of the street, looking rather disappointed as she stepped across. "What happened?" he whined, pushing off the wall of some crummy, decaying building.

"She ran away," the woman told him, frowning a bit more and crossing her arms.

"Damn. That's dumb. And disappointing," Toby pouted.

"She's probably going to be at that fighting tournament," she told him, and he grinned.

"Well, it looks like we're going to California!" he shouted triumphantly, hopping a bit and tapping his heels.

"You're going?" Kaitlyn asked. She honestly wished he wouldn't. "Why does some fighting tournament matter to you? You're a big-shot mercenary, ain't ya?"

"Hm? Well, no reason. Just interested. That's all."

Until that moment Kalliste had stood still, listening to the other gods words.
The goddess had been studying Gorron, to whom she had sweetly tilted her head in greeting. Why would a man of such honour sorround himself of such... garbage. He apologized for the god of greed, he grinned at his outrageous jokes, stood by him. Men, the most questionable of all species. For a second, she stepped to approach him, until the King spoke.

The Demi-god had declared war against Earth and the mortal race.
Was she going against her nature? Was thinking humans deserved it, be of her? Kalliste reminded herself who she was: she never turned her back to someone in need of help. As goddess of Love, who else could understand mercy than her? They destroyed her world, but they were the reason she stood there: the love they bestowed. Families, Lovers, Children.

She felt inappropriate, out of place.
In a world of War, what was for a goddess of her kind?

"Show ourselves to humans? Have you lost your wit, brothers?" she gleamed like a candle in the dark yet, her eyes shone cold and unreachable. "Listen to Xai. Do you think mortals would praise you? Worship you? No. You're monsters to their eyes." she found herself appreciating the god of destruction's words. Unexpected, but welcome.

"We'll act in secret, hide our true forms from their weak eyes. Causing panic is the last thing we need. Let the tournament be, but do no reveal your identities."

[Xai] & [Haila] (All Characters in the throne room)

Xai looked at Kalliste, he knew where she was coming from. But she seldom visits earth like the others. So he spoke to her and pointed out one of the most obvious thing. "Well your half correct, We do not want to reveal our identities to the weak.... But even if they did... Do you think they'd believe us?" He paused for a moment as his ton turned more and more serious. He did his best not to insult her intelligence, because she wasn't 100% wrong. Causing a panic would be a bad idea, but she was wrong about how earth saw them. "The people from other worlds may see me as a harbinger, but earth has grown ignorant and forgetful. The once great civilizations that once realized us as their masters are no more. Some have ascended and became even more powerful nations, others lie all but forgotten in the sands of time." he said as he looked around to the other gods. He spoke as if he knew what was going on down there, but then again that could very well be possible. Xai has visited more worlds than any of the gods combined, even if half of them are no longer in existence. The then looked between Joviziah and Lycros, as they were a key to aiding some of the people they were looking for. "If we do go through our plan I have a special assignment for you two.... when you are not training mortals of course... I want you to make My fool brother's arrival known to those with great power. But do not frighten them, lest we speed up Dreahyedron's recovery" Said Xai, as he waled back over to Kalliste. He then regained his smug grin and he began speaking a great deal of confidence again. He looked directly into the Love Goddess's Eyes and said "I'm STILL entering that tournament, As I said before it's a good place to begin looking... So don't think for a second... That you can stop me."

Haila then spoke out and snapped at the destruction god. "Don't you DARE talk to her that way, If she said no one is fighting, then you are not going to that tournament!" She said in frustration, This was one of the reasons why she didn't like Xai... He always seemed to do what he wanted even if some one told him not to. But Xai simply glanced down at Haila, looking even more overconfident, "If you are so against my plan, Then I could always go with my contingency." Said Xai. Haila glared at him, but with a look of confusion. "What's the contingency?" She replied. "Dreahyedron can't conquer earth, if there is no earth to conquer" He said while retaining is smile. Haila then stepped back and stood behind Kalliste with a frown. "Forget I asked" she said. As Xai looked right back at the love goddess. "So... What will it be. Let us fight, or destroy the earth?"

"I hope you fight better than you listen, Xai." the goddess sighed.
"As I said, I wish the tournament to take place, and you to be part of it. Why would I even try to stop you? I have no interest in your affairs, dear."

The goddess stepped gracefully around the god of destruction, her eyes fixed on his as she made a full circle around him.
"You may know how to destroy a planet, or how to successfully kill a being, but don't you dare teach me how a human feels, reptile. You think you could ever know it better than me? Well, then think again. I've spent years among mortals, studying them, playing with them, sharing their most touching moments, their lives. Believe me if I say, you'd cause more problems than you're trying to solve, revealing your true identities." and with that, she went back to her previous position, siding again with her attendant, Haila.

"About you, my beloved child, we'll talk later." the goddess whispered.

Joviziah coughed nervously. "Let's hold off on that contingency. Like, for a last resort, hopefully. And while Kalliste has a point-" he made a slightly apologetic gesture towards the aforementioned goddess "-I too have much experience with humans. I spend most my time with them, as a matter of fact. While Kalliste may know much, indeed, of the softer side of humans, I know of their fears. And their leaders, believe me, like to stay in power. They don't need, necessarily, to know who we truly are, they just need to listen to us."

He continued, "That's where me and Lycros come in. We can show them the way. Lycros can show them what happened last time. I just have make them scared of the possibilities. Hell, if needed, I'll just convert them while they sleep. Even easier if they don't cooperate, as they'll be fully mine." He was also fully aware that at least one god wouldn't like Joviziah being in charge so many influential people, but it might be needed. "And I'm sure Gold can find some use for his money, too," he added as an afterthought.

"And all due respect to Kalliste-" even if his tone said 'I don't actually care that much' "-but I believe her to be more in touch with the softer side of humans. We don't need that right now. I'm not saying she's useless, per say, just that this is war, not love. However, love can be a good persuader, and she is by no means harmless. Still, I find myself siding with Xai." And if he actually joins the tournament I know who I'm betting on, he thought.

Location: Meeting Room

Gorron stood large, his ears fixed between the debate of the Gods. He was still in deep thought, wondering what other possibilities could there be. Gold, however, was not still. He practically hissed when Joviziah mentioned an army of soldiers. "Rumors, Sleeping Beauty" Gold confirmed to Joviziah, showing a snark expression. "He has an army." Gorron spout out without a drop of hesitation, looking to Gold. Gold gaped his mouth as he had been betrayed. "Yo, low-key, I am getting real tired of your shit!" Gold busted out, grasping his forehead with his hand as if he had a sudden migraine. "What does "low-key" even mean?" Gorron questioned, amusingly. "Means I'm about to shove your beard down your throat." Gold wasn't entirely serious. But it could be hard to tell if you didn't truly know him.

"Is there perhaps a trap of kinds we can set? The tournament could prove great distraction, and as far as identities, I would have to be in agreement with Kalliste. You do not want to overwhelm them, however, in due time it could be appropriate to reveal."

Gold stepped out of line, moving more to the side. He stood in silent wrath to the other Gods, tidying his tie. "Use my damn army, I think not." Gold whispered under his breath. He was now uneasy that the others knew the truth whether they have known before or not. Gold's ego is a tower but his most prized possession is his Golden Army. He had been accumulating souls since his birth which could be far back as eternity. Soul after soul captured into a golden statue and placed on an isolated planet, ten times the size of Earth. To lose all of his life's work to a demigod would be outrageous to him. He would never consider it.

[Xai] & Galgeil (NPC)

The king of the gods called out to the others, "It appears we are in agreement. . . You are to head to earth to train an army of mortals, and prepare them for the upcoming invasion of the demi-god of chaos. You may disclose your name, but unless the situation demands it you will not tell them you are a god." he said with his loud booming voice. Xai gave the king a bow and smiled "Thank you my lord, please inform my attendant where I have gone to should they seek me out." he said. The King then stood um and raised his scepter high above his head, looking down on the other gods. The scepter then began to shine like a newborn star, blinding if you are a mortal but glorious if you are not so. "As the king of the gods I declare this meeting, adjourned." he said as he slammed the bottom of his scepter onto the floor, and vanished from sight. Xai Turned to face the others still smiling, "Well then, If you will all excuse me... I'm off to earth." Xai smirked. As he began to ascend into the air, "I hope all of you find great students."

Joviziah nodded. Really, he was just glad part of his preposition had made it into the official plan. Even if he wasn't happy, he wasn't going to disagree with the big man, though - here he threw a glance at Gold, Gorron, and Kalliste - some of them hadn't gotten it completely their way. Joviziah let his human slip, his features growing more insectile. It felt better with more than two eyes and mandibles instead of jaws. He tipped his hat to the other gods with a cursory "good luck", then stepped into thin air, vanishing before someone, most likely Gold, blew their top off since the big man was gone and the plan didn't conform to their wants.

He stepped back into the real world, once again at Garrote's camp. Garrote was already outside - knowing him it was a possibility he hadn't moved since they last talked. The other four Dogskulls (the name came from their distinctive combat masks) left their tents, guns already ready.

"We have a job, Garrote," Joviziah said as way of greeting. "You, Iron, and Verbal are going to California. You two-" he gestured to Poker and Snowy, the other two Dogskulls "-You're coming with me. We have a few house calls to make and I want to make a good impression. Anyway, Garrote, you'll be going down to the tournament. You won't be fighting - I want you fully focused on recruiting. I do want Verbal in the tournament. He might not be powered, but damn if I don't recruit the best for my Dogskulls, so he'll be part of the recruiting squad too. Iron, you're backup. And you two, I'll explain on the way. I'll fill you in later too, Garrote, don't worry."

Garrote nodded, the two Dogskulls called Iron and Verbal going to his side. "Of course, Sandman," he said. "Sounds like fun."

"It should be," Joviziah said. Then he put his hands on the other two Dogskulls, and all three of them vanished into the night. Garrote nodded. "Pack up, we're moving," he said. They complied quickly. It had been awhile since their last mission. This one had promise.

[Haila] @zucca_

After the king dismissed them and after Xai flew off, Haila became very upset. "The nerve of that cold blooded reptile, acting as if humans don't know who the gods are." She huffed, and climbed unto Gump's shell to sit down. She looked up to her mistress Kalliste, she felt bad for her in this situation. She was the goddess of love not war, she was completely out of her element. Haila reached out to grab Kalliste's hand, to get her attention. "My lady, what are we going to do? We aren't fighters, we don't even like fighting." she sounded concerned, after all she is absolutely terrified of Dreahyedron. To hear that he was coming back frightened her so, He and Xai shared many of the same powers being actual half brothers. That was probably the biggest reason why she didn't like Xai, she just doesn't know if she can trust him at all.

"Oh, dear. Please." the goddess protested "How is it, that I can't seem to make you all understand what I meant. Look:" Kalliste walked out of the hall, making her way to her Palace with Haila beside her. "Humans do not know of our existence. They've grown to be more... unbelieving, therefore I believe revealing this reality would cause a catastrophe, and we do not wish to create more problems than we already have. You know humans, do you think they'd see us as their protectors? Of course not. We'd be freaks to them."

"We won't fight, my sweet. Just pack your things up. We're moving."

[Haila]

Haila frowned, as if she had just learned a horrible truth. "So you mean... Xai was right? The people of earth have forgotten about us?" she said almost sounding very sad. She started to think if humans ever believed they existed, Xai's words were still fresh in her mind.
'The people from other worlds may see me as a harbinger, but earth has grown ignorant and forgetful. The once great civilizations that once realized us as their masters are no more.' This surprised her, Xai has probably been to earth more times then any of the other gods. And quite possibly more times then them all combined. So how could humans have forgotten about them if Xai was responsible for such catastrophes. She then looked down to her turtle, "I find that hard to believe, we did so much for them." She said nearly completely depressed. Though one though did come ti mind. Just how much has changed since they last went to earth? And for that matter how long HAS it been since they went to earth?

Location: Meeting Room

As the king vanished Gorron turned to Gold. "Before we-" Gorron stopped. Gold was nowhere to be found. He must have left the second the meeting was adjourned. "How does he even do that?" Gorron chuckled, exiting the room himself.

Location: The Greatest Mountain

Gorron lumbered into his mountain, standing upright like a glorious statue. He raised his hand, calling forth the Grand Arsenal. The sphere opened up turning the inside of the mountain into a mighty forge. Gorron wasted no time, selecting Xai's glave and placing it onto the ancient anvil. With a wave of his hand the furnace sprouted a column of fire onto the glave, making it glisten red. Gorron brought up his hand curled into a tight fist and struck down onto the glave. He struck it again and again until the redness faded. Gorron scrolled through the wheel of the Arsenal, selecting a bright, red gem. He held the gem by the furnace, another column of fire devouring the gem. The gem quickly melted into a liquid state, dripping onto the glave. Each drop creating a ripple of red onto the blade before fading away back to normal color. Gorron seized the handle of the weapon, lifting it up to his thick lips. "Xai, God of Destruction." Gorron whispered. The glave glowed majestically for several seconds before returning to normal state. With a simple smile Gorron sealed the Arsenal and the glave with it.

Location: The Tournament (Director's office)

Meanwhile Gold was already back at the tournament. "I don't understand." Gold walked in closer, causing the man to cower in the corner. He walked past several golden statues before coldly staring at the man. "You lost the deal, correct?" The man's eyes bounced, filled with confusion. He looked down at his hand as it began to stiffen with a golden color. "No, no!" The man screeched in terror as his entire body was a coat of gold. "Good game." Gold smiled wickedly, turning to five men in suits. They were all filled with a horror expression, wondering if they were destined the same death. "Relax, boys." Gold said calmly, walking to the refreshment table. He poured himself a glass of brandy, picking it up to his lips. "Why?" One of the suited men questioned. Gold slurped down the brandy, hitting his chest with pleasure. "Mm. Because I own this tournament now. You all work for me. I am the new director. So we're gonna make a few changes now." Gold glared at his new five puppets, a sinister laugh erupting. The five men gulped, more than willing to obey.
