She is quite shy, and prefers to keep herself to herself, although she is very open towards people she is close with. She can sometimes come across as rude, or harsh, but that is because she is bluntly honest at all times, and hates sugarcoating or avoiding the point. She is non-confrontational, although once she is in an argument, she is relentless to the point where she will not back down until someone else is forced to resolve the issue or the other person backs down. She is quite intelligent, and is very creative, inspired by her love for the sciences and art.

Her parents died in a car crash, and her older siblings went to live with their uncle and aunt. Her uncle put her up for adoption as a baby, and her adoptive parents so happened to be rather wealthy. They sent her to a boarding school where she did an art course, until her adoptive parents divorced. Moving to New York from London aged sixteen, she soon found herself homeless and penniless, turning to the family when they spotted her in need at church.
