Alexis was given up for adoption at birth, just like her brother, and she was brought to the same foster home he was in. A few months later the Binici's, who had already adopted a daughter just a year older than Alexis, adopted the two siblings. A few years later they adopted twin boys, the biological siblings of Vivienne, the other girl they had taken in. A couple years after they adopted the two boys the family relocated from PA to NY. Four years ago they lost both of their fathers within a few days of each other. One night their father Luca had been out drinking with some buddies, got in his car thinking he was okay but ended up crashing when he ran a red light about two miles from home. The car he crashed into was being driven by their father Angelo. Both of the men were rushed to a hospital. Angelo was pronounced dead before they reached the hospital, Luca died a few days later from his injuries. In the meantime the children had heard that they might be separated. Not wanting that they ran... and just kept running and hiding, avoiding being seen as much as possible, especially by anyone they knew.

Her parent's weren't married, nor were they legally separated from their prospective spouses, but that didn't stop them from being together... While she technically has 12 siblings, only 3 of them are full siblings, the other nine are half-siblings, 3 from her mom and 6 from her dad.. but two, maybe 3 of them are dead. One of her half-sister's from her dad passed away from natural causes and her little full sister died the same night as her parents, she is still unsure if her youngest brother is alive. As many dysfunctional tales go, both of her parents perished. A house fire started one night when one of her parents not-completely put-out cigarettes fell on a the carpet and started a blaze in the trailer the six people were living in at the time, both adults having more-or-less abandoned their former families. The only thing Tatiana remembers is waking up in a hospital room, learning that her parents and little sister died in a fire on a snowy february night, her baby brother was in the NICU and her other brother was in a foster home, a different one than Tati was supposed to go to... so on the car ride to her foster situation she had the escort pull over at a gas station so she could use the bathroom and then she ran and kept running, through the woods and as far as she could to get away and find her brother. If only the older half-siblings had known about them, things might have ended differently.

She was sent off, in a suitcase, with a complete stranger when her parents swapped the bags as the person got distracted and let go of their suitcase. She was thankfully stored in the overhead compartment thankfully not the belly of the plane. Of course it was a bit of a shock to the man when he unzipped his suitcase and found a child hidden away, but she hadn't given him a chance to think. She pushed him away and ran off, not stopping. She eventually found the 'family' when she was helping one of the younger members who had fallen down on the pavement and was crying get back to them. Since she was about ten, Emberlynn has been with them and is very protective over the younger children.
