Gonna have to say no. I think she seems waaaaay too perfect (You lost points when you said she was attractive in her physical description). Her backstory doesn't make sense (You explained little about how her life, when/how her powers manifested, or how she got in Black Fall), neither does her sample post. I also want you to elaborate a bit more about her power (Just how hot can she get...?) and give her a few more weaknesses (In theory, she could dehydrate herself very fast, and have a way higher metabolism).
All around, this sheet needs more details. Look at some of mine to get an idea.
Then nevermind

Ack! Sorry guys I ran out of my meds and my alerts werent popping up for the thread. I will get to work on my CS when I get home. ><;
Sorry again for the lack of editing

Okay made a few changes to Nathan, just to make his back story more fitting, pretty happy with the results, oh and you never really gave him a power rating, still too OP?

Awesome, after dunruffle has edited his sheet, we'll have...five players! ^^

Then nevermind

Alright then. Thank you for the interest, sorry this didn't work out, but I'd rather have quality over quantity.

Nathan's accepted.

Awesome, after dunruffle has edited his sheet, we'll have...five players! ^^

If he gets accepted, then I'll start the IC.

Gah im been away for so long >.< I'll fix my character's power either tonight or tomorrow

I might rewrite Jago's appearance and give Newt a different power.

whew, finally finished editing. I hope the changes are satisfactory, if not let me know so I can change them and we can get this RP going. ^^

Basic Information

Name: Vanessa Katherine Kalford
Nickname/Alias/Etc: Iron-Clad, The Iron Slugger, The Full Metal Fucker
Gender: Female
Age: 22
Height: 5'2
Weight: 152

Appearance

Hair Color: Dark-Brown
Eye Color: Brown
Ethnicity: Puerto-Rican, & African-American

Physical Appearance: From first sight, Vanessa is a heavy-set woman with a short and stocky build. She is certainly portly, and her limbs are wide and packed with body fat. Obviously, she has a gut that she is working on getting rid of. Her behind and breasts are larger due to having this extra body weight, with her thighs being very large. However, instead of looking sloppy, her body is rather tight. She doesn't have any love handles, and she definitely is losing weight. Vanessa carries herself like a confident fighter. Standing straight up and tall, and taking large steps. Her body is almost always covered in signs that she's been doing some fighting very recently. Her knuckles are fairly bruised/cut, she has a black eye, her nose looks crooked from being broken too many times, and she has a fair share of scars. Naturally, she leans on being tomboy rather than a traditional woman. Must be because of that fighter look, and the way she carries herself around. Her strong, masculine, earth-hands tends to contribute to this. However, her head of hair betrays this. Her curly hairstyle, which is a dark-brown color, hangs off the back of her head, going down to her back, and she keeps it very well managed and clean. There are two long french braids that go far past her curly mane.

Going off her ethnic background, Vanessa is a mixed cup. She has Hispanic, and African-American in her genes. She'd definitely leave someone trying to figure out exactly what scratching their head until she tells them. Her skin color definitely suggests that she is a lighter African-American, or a darker Hispanic. Her facial features do absolutely nothing to suggest she's one ethnicity or the other. Her skin is a light-brown color, definitely. Her upper body is coated in black freckles, plenty can be seen on her face, and upper body if she were to take off her shirt. Like I said before, her skin is coated in scars and bruises. For the latter, she has nasty purple bruises on her upper body. Mainly around her chest, and on her arms. Other than the small scars from boo-boos in the past, she has some interesting scars, indeed. On her shoulder, she has a network of scars that look like cracks, that encompass her entire shoulder. Once again, you wouldn't notice most of them unless you took off her clothes. Fortunately, she managed to keep her face scar free.

Vanessa's face is rounded, and she has a rather large head. Her head is triangle shaped, with her face being rather thick. It's best shown in her chubby cheeks, which are childlike, similar to a girl's decades younger than her. Her jawline is sharp, with a large, boxy, pointy, chin - with a clef that few would notice. Vanessa has a small, rounded nose, that looks like a tiny stub, it's crooked due to being broken one too many times and never quite healed right. Vanessa's lips are thick and full, and pretty wide. Vanessa's eyes are large and child-like, her iris have a light-brown color. She has a massive-forehead too, it's smooth and round, but still pretty wide/tall.

Attire: Vanessa needs glasses to see properly, and she often wears thick framed black glasses to help. Vanessa's style is pretty bland on a regular, since style isn't too much of a worry. She usually wears t-shirts, jeans, and whatever matches/she feels like wearing. Though, she tends to wear outfits that are loose, doesn't hug her frame too much, and gives her plenty of freedom of movement. So she tends to wear things like sweat pants and t-shirts, while she likes to throw things like hoodies on. Though, Vanessa likes to wear jackets and coats like they're capes. Vanessa almost never wears jewelry, or the likes. In the few occasions Vanessa can prepare for a fight, she wraps a chain around her arms super tightly. Or when going boxing, she tends to coat her hands in fighter's tape.

Personality

Outward & Innate Personality: Vanessa is a normally kind and sweet woman. She usually acts calm and quiet, like the introverted type that you'd see hovering over a crowd. People who talks to her realize that she acts pretty nice and dorky. Trying to act calm, but ultimately slips when she hears news that would excite her. Sometimes even acting like a child by jumping up and down. She enjoys having fun, and being around people, even if she's not the center of attention. Vanessa is bisexual, but mostly leans on liking boys. She's open to a same-sex relationship, but boys are her main attraction. This normally sweet girl has a darkside, however. A thrill seeker at heart. Vanessa loves the rush that being in a do or die situation or fight gives her. Which is her main draw to the more illicit parts of Black Fall. Sometimes running out and delivering vigilante justice. She knows it's something she shouldn't do, but it's like an addiction to the action. She can't turn herself from it, and that's why she's working on weening herself. Though, she feels herself as becoming nothing more than a thug. Vanessa has a bit of trouble restraining her anger, and tends to solve her problems with fists rather than with choice words. Which is why she avoids regular conflict or confrontation lest she risks letting that anger guide a fist into someone's face. In terms of morality, she'll help people when she can, she's against harming innocents and causing senseless acts of destruction, on the other hand, she's fine delivering brutal beat downs on enemies and calling it fun. Long as no one dies, then it's fine, right? Her sense of right and wrong wasn't really 100% set.

Hobbies/Interests: Vanessa likes eating candy, comic-books, tv/movies, super heroes, crime shows, MMA, cartoons, and media in general.

Skills/Talents: Vanessa has a few skills. Naturally, Vanessa is good at diplomacy and leveling with people. Social skills she's honed over the years. She can also run pretty fast for a girl her size, nothing impressive, but surprising how quick on her feet she is. She is also honed at photography, and if she gets her hands on a camera, she will take pictures of every beautiful thing in sight. Vanessa also had the opportunity to learn a few instruments, her favorite being brass instruments. She knows how to play the tuba, the saxophone, and the trumpet - She's best at the last one, however. Because brass instruments are awesome. Vanessa was also trained in a few martial arts, initially for self defense in case anyone tried to fight her. Due to years upon years of working in an autoshop, Vanessa has picked up a few skills. She can identify any part that's wrong with a car and more. Vanessa has learned a bit of Karate, and ascended to orange belt at least - but hasn't practiced in ages. What she has done plenty of was boxing. She's a skilled boxer, and could probably go pro if she shed that weight. Both of these martial arts came in handy when she fights out on the streets. She has gained quite a bit of experience.

History/Bio: Vanessa didn't exactly have the luxury of being born into a wealthy household as an only child. Vanessa was born into Black Fall's Dead-End district. Her father ran an autoshop, and her mother worked for Veterans Affairs as a desk worker. They weren't fantastic, and were just getting by, but hell, they did it. When Vanessa wasn't in school, playing with friends, or indulging herself in what media she could get her hands on, she was in his autoshop. Doing small things, such as grabbing objects for her father. A little girl like herself couldn't play with heavy machinery you impetus shithead! What she did do was learn about cars, as her father indulged her on her curiosities about the machines (Her mother was fine with her curiosity). In school, she was bullied semi-often because she was a rather chunky little girl. Her father knew some fighting - boxing to be exact - and passed it down to young Vanessa for when the kids got physical. While this did help her a bit, there was a welling feeling deep inside of her of her being weak. She wanted to be strong, wanted to make a difference. But she didn't have the power to do so (when it was a matter of lacking the confidence). So she took it all in stride and tried to become a better person in return. Other than that, she had a relatively happy childhood. Not much to talk about.

Life progressed as it should. As she grew up, her mother worked her butt off trying to get promoted and climbed the ranks of the VA. Which got them a steadier income than a low-end mechanic. Which also meant a bit more freedom for Vanessa to explore her various hobbies - her love of brass instruments in particular. A split arose between her parents about selling the autoshop and leaving the Dead End district for the better Westgate district. Problems arose when her father felt like his masculinity was threatened by his wife supporting their family, and angrily refused to drop his powers. Which caused arguments between the two - which sometimes escalated into physical violence. Young Vanessa stayed out of it. Going to her instruments for comfort. She was still bullied because of her weight. Life changed once she turned twelve, however. Her powers had manifested. It was scary, her entire hand had changed into metal while she was eating cereal one morning before heading to school. Naturally, she freaked out, her mother freaked out, everyone was freaking out. After everyone calmed down, the first thing her mother did was contact NEST. They quickly came to their house and quickly swept young Vanessa up. She was scared, confused, and, among other emotions, felt betrayed. They had more experience with Meta-humans than her parents did. Which showed when they were helpful as they could be, and deduced that she could turn her body into cast iron. They walked her through turning back into flesh and bones - then quickly registered her, told her to come back once a month, and sent her on her way. She quickly learned about her power - specifically how to transform back and forth between metal. She quickly learned that she could turn her whole into dense, heavy, cast iron. Vanessa gained a level of control so that she doesn't automatically transform.

From there, Vanessa quickly felt a bit of pride about herself - having a power was a great confidence boost. She became a bit more ferocious in school, standing up to her bullies with varying levels of success. However, she didn't abuse her power rampantly, out of fear of NEST, and feeling like a villain. Her parents weren't too happy about having a Meta-human in the family, they were hesitant around her, and were generally unsure. Which didn't help Vanessa all that much. She practiced with her power behind closed doors over the years - and tried to hope that her parents would warm up to her again. While training with her other hobbies. At this point, one thing was for certain, she ought to improve herself any way - no, every way she could. Vanessa had been signed up for karate classes - just so her parents could get away from her and give her another hobby. It was tough, it was grueling, but it was great self defense.

These skills were great once she entered high-school. Vanessa was bullied extensively, and it was a test of restraint to stop herself from punching someone's skull in, but she managed to contain herself. Contain herself until they resorted to physical violence, to which she's fought back and sent a message that she isn't weak. It didn't fall on deaf ears, as it was the end of the blatant bullying. Though people kept poking at her weight, and insulting her every chance they get. Vanessa tried her best to ignore it all, go home, and practice her powers. Fortunately, her home life had improved somewhat since she entered high-school. She moved out of the Dead-End and into the West Gate district - but her father still owned the Autoshop. They had largely accepted Vanessa for what she is - she was their daughter, made of metal or not. Vanessa was allowed to work more in the autoshop (Her powers helped!) and it basically became a part-time job for her. Which is where she got plenty of money to indulge herself in pastries of the sorts. One thing that interested Vanessa was her father's boxing. She dropped out of her karate classes and got her parents to sign her up for boxing. Which, in their eyes, was a great way to get their child away from the house (Despite the fact she could easily cheat). It wasn't as intense as she thought it'd be, training with the Pink Gloves, but she found it fun. Transitioning from karate to boxing wasn't that hard, since she learned the basics about boxing in karate. It was great fitness, and Vanessa became a great boxer.

Well into her late-teens (When she was nineteen), Vanessa's life had been going smoothly. She was a kickass fighter, her grades were good enough to get her through school, and she was happy as someone could be - if only she could lose that weight. Oh well. Vanessa had assumed that her parents stopped fighting - which wasn't the case when Vanessa found out that her mother had been cheating on her father for years. She attempted to confront her mother about it... Which wasn't going to do much, since her mother had been planning on leaving her bastard husband and freakish child for years now. Starting a whole new family, with a whole new husband. Unfortunately, Vanessa wasn't apart of these plans. So once her mother divorced her father, she left them with half the family's funds and that was it. She moved to greener pastures and left Black Fall behind - never to speak to either of them again. Unfortunately, the autoshop wasn't enough to support Vanessa (Or her many hobbies), and they were forced back into the Dead End District (In an even worse apartment than before). With no chance at getting into a college or any glimpse at a professional future - No, she had to work at a Autoshop that was going nowhere. Fortunately, her father taught her enough about cars to be able to work on them herself. She wasn't a professional, but hey, it worked.

Vanessa's anger at her mother... It inspired her to reach a brand new low. She needed to vent that anger somehow. Which is what had drawn her to vigilante work. She just wandered around the Dead End beating up every thug, drug dealer, and maniac she could come across - using her power. This was risky, and hell, extremely stupid, but she needed to take this anger out on something. Why not the scum of the Earth? It was actually a rush, fighting people, and kicking ass in the name of justice (Or simply satisfying her anger issues). During the day, she was a average mechanic, and by night she was a vigilante. Fortunately, NEST doesn't pay too much attention to the ghettos of the world, so she was allowed a bit of freedom here - and who would believe a crackwhore saying they were beaten by a fat woman made of iron? That allowed Vanessa enough freedom to act as she pleased. Choosing not to cause a bit stir. She also hit up a few underground fighting rings. Which laughed at her for even wanting to participate until she knocked someone out. She sometimes fought with her power, fought with her power subtly (turning everything under the skin into iron), or didn't use her powers at all. All she wanted was the rush.

For months this routine continued. She'd come home in various states of damage, and her father never batted an eyelash - preferring to let his daughter live her life the way she wanted to. He was too apathetic at this point to care anymore. Eventually, Vanessa was able to realize that she was capable of manipulating other metals in addition to turning into metal. This was quite the epiphany, and it helped her in the autoshop as much as it did in a fight.

Abilities
Power Class:
Elemental/Anatomical 7

Power: Vanessa can play some mean DEATH METAL.

Metal Mimicry. Vanessa can transform her body, fully or selectively, into a black cast iron form. Cast iron is a pretty tough kind of metal, heat-resistant, and it's heavy. In fact, it's what frying pans are made of. If you think that's lame, go grab the nearest frying pan and put it over an open flame for a minute or two. Then grab it, and punch it hard as you can. After you're done that, go find a car, channel the power of your ancestors, and smack that bitch up. Did all that? Great job, jackass, you have a burned and broken hand and probably going to get arrested for vandalism. Point is, her durability in this state is elevated by quite a few notches. She can shrug off most physical attacks, knives and blades won't do anything to her, and she can withstand all but the hottest heats. Her body will be homogeneous, no part of her body will be more important than the other. In addition, she won't be able to feel pain, will be immune to biological attacks, and will be independent of oxygen. In addition to having a strong defense, she can dish out the damage just as well. Packing enough force behind her punches to break bones in one swing. Naturally, her strength is brought up too, nothing to the levels of say the Hulk, but she can lift up a lot more, and put more strength behind her attacks. Vanessa is also capable of manipulating her body, she can shape her body into tools, long as she has the mass for it. She usually employs stuff like hammers, blades, and maybe stuff like chains. Getting run through with a blade can be a particularly painful way to go. When she doesn't have the mass to transform her body, she is capable of absorbing other metals, and adding them to her combined mass. She can do this with any and all metals she can come in contact with. She usually uses this ability to pack more armor on, or get more mass to shape her body into. One neat trick she was able to learn was merging with metals and controlling them like an extension of her body. Such as jamming her hand into a car, and shaping it (Or at least the metal components). Once she transforms back to human-form, any metals she has absorbed will harmlessly fall off.

Metal Manipulation. A recent ability that Vanessa worked out is that she's capable of manipulating all metal, raw or refined. One neat thing about metal is that it is mostly tough, thermal resistant, conductive, and is pretty damn common. Metals are rather flexible, and can be fused into one another. Thus, Vanessa can shape metal easily without breaking/cracking it. Giving her the ability to make any metal construction long as she's got the resources for it, and make changes to existing construct. She can move any metals that are within her sight, however, her control over metals is even greater if she's in contact with it. This ability by default has a wide range of uses. She can be an offensive powerhouse by default, metal can make a good defense, and maybe this isn't a fight, she can still do plenty of things too. Since this ability is pretty recent, she hasn't exactly worked out everything with it it. She can learn to liquidfy metal, break metal down into a powder, detect metals around her, control the temperature of metal, corrode metal, and even change one type of metal into another (Any converted metal will be in it's raw/pure state).

Weaknesses/Limitations/Drawbacks: There's the obvious weaknesses a metal form would entail. She's heavy as hell, and thus, she's slow to boot. She will not be capable of the same feats of agility while made of metal. Absorbing metal can also bring her weight up a bit, to the point where she's immobile because there's a set amount her body can hold. She is also weak against magnetism, and just to save me some time; anything that'd normally affect metal (Rust, extreme colds, and so on). Any damage that Vanessa receives in metal form transfers to her human body. Cracks will appear as nasty cuts on her skin, dents will appear in her skin (with nasty bruises), etc, etc. Cast iron, while very shock absorbent, can't bend too much without breaking. Which isn't an issue for her since she's long worked around this weakness. It also rusts easily, and since Vanessa doesn't have any coating, she can rust pretty fast. Rust transfers back to her human form in the shape of scabs that can easily get infected if they're untreated. It's best that she stays away from large bodies of water in general. She can't operate that well underwater. Electricity can also serve as a problem, as being made entirely of metal her brain still has electrical impulses. A shock from say, a taser can mess all that up and render her temporarily paralyzed. While in metal form, Vanessa does not have access to her larger scale metal manipulation, only what her absorption abilities would entail. She has to be in her rather weak human form to control metals that she isn't touching. In general, Vanessa has to use both of her forms, for both maneuverability, defense, and manipulation of metals.

whew, finally finished editing. I hope the changes are satisfactory, if not let me know so I can change them and we can get this RP going. ^^

His weight is off a bit. Going off your sheet, he gets most of his muscle-mass from free running, right? Well, he's ridiculously ripped unless he has a very strict workout routine (Funnily enough you said he wasn't built like a bodybuilder). Point being that his weight needs to be a bit lower.

Other than that, I'd like a little bit more in the appearance section. Everything else is fine.

I was considering changing up Layne's power a bit but, I think I'm satisfied ^^

I wrote up a new appearance and personality section for Jago. I felt his appearance was lacking, and his personality will be more in-tune with how he acts IC-side.

I also decided not to change Newt's power since I can't come up with anything, and her power works just fine.

He's accepted now.

Now, I'm going to start work on the IC. Just give me a bit of time to get my creative fluids flowing.

I am new here and don't really know how to get to the IC later so uhm...will you link it? XD

I'll definitely give ya'll a link.

I decided to change Newt's power actually. Wanted to go for a jack of all trades in the movement/stealth areas opposed to specializing in one field. Check it out.

I have to stepout for a bit, I'll do some work on the IC later on today.

May I reserve a spot for this RP?
If you'd like. I'm about to start the IC, but you can still come in at any time.

And I realized I'll have to go back and change Newt's backstory. Meh. I'll do it after I get the IC up.
