Silas Mureau
"Figures..." Silas though after getting over the initial shock of having an unexpected voice speak to him from behind. Though other people might have lost their nerve, Silas was a logical thinker and if this man knew about the key, the repeating day and all of it, when he'd told no one about any of it, then there must be a nugget of truth to the strange man's words. Despite this, he felt uneasy and above all else, frustrated.
"I half-expected you to be Rod Serling before I turned around...this is some Outer Limits, existential shit that I really shouldn't have to deal with dude. I guess if getting an explanation means accompanying you, then I can comply...but I'm definitely not climbing into any vans." Silas was serious in his reply, though there was an underlying reasoning behind it. Stranger things had happened right? In any event, if it mean't no more school and no more of his aunt and uncle, he was all in and doubled down.
Silas quietly tucked the key safely away back inside of his pocket and stared the well-dressed man up and down before shrugging his shoulders and nodding for him to proceed. He knew better than to trust the stranger and certainly was wise enough to be on his guard, but he felt as though if malicious intent were the individual's desire, he wouldn't have bothered with the whole 'Come with me for answers' shtick. His mind was flushed with possibilities and the only resolution in sight was being offered by a total stranger and apparently some enigmatic third party which could put entire days on repeat.
"When we get to where you are leading me, I expect some real answers...and if I don't like what I hear, I'm gone." Silas gave his best attempt at sounding tough and fearless, though in truth he was terrified. Intelligence and logic were somewhat superseded by beings which apparently could put time itself on an endless loop. He was being honest though, he'd keep an open mind and listen to what this guy was selling, but he wasn't a hero.

The man looked at the key with a distant expression. He seemed sad to have the object right in front of him. "Because I know who had it before you," he said. "It's no ordinary key. If you'll trust me, I can show you." He gestured to the door again. "There are others out there with the same questions. I'd rather tell you all at once instead of repeat myself. Please, insert the key into your door lock - I know it's not for this door...and that this isn't the side with the keyhole. It'll fit anyway. Trust me."

If Lavender chose to listen to the stranger, her key would touch the lock to her apartment door and it would magically open up into a keyhole. Her key would then enter as if it was always meant to be there. "Now just think to yourself, 'Parthenon Sub,' turn the key, and open the door."
@Viral - Mauro Jakobs
The dark-skinned stranger smiled at Mauro's agreement to trust him. That had been easier than most. One he'd actually had to show off to in order to get him to trust him. At his questions, the man raised his hand and made to slap Mauro, but his hand passed right through his head.

"That's why I can't help," he explained. He poked his hand through the kid's chest cavity since he'd braced himself for the slap. "Can't touch anything, so I'm kind of useless for this problem. Except to guide people who are useful. That I can do. What you'll have to do will depend on what Order wants. The others are people like you - people who have noticed the repeats.

"If that answers all your questions, we need to find a door," he said and proceeded to lead him along. "Any door, so long as it's closed. Your key is no ordinary key. It'll work on any door in the world, and will take you to more places than just what's on the other side."
@Mythy the Dragon-Wolf - Marcus Hart (and Inu)
"Please don't freak out," a voice said from behind him. Standing in his kitchen was a black man in a brown suit, his clothes slightly faded so there was little difference between the fabric and his skin. His shoes were covered in mud, yet tracked no prints anywhere around him. When he stepped there wasn't the slightest sound from his feet, as if he weren't actually touching the tiles. "You're just caught in a loop. You can fix it, but I'm afraid you'll have to come with me to do that."

In Marcus's arms, Inu whimpered and shrunk himself further into his owner's hold. The stranger looked down at the pup sympathetically. "I'm not going to hurt either of you. You need answers, and we need help. It's a fair trade, if you come with me."
@Pray4me - Lorenzo Montenegro
The stranger rolled his eyes. Of course one of them would be a cynic. Not just a cynic, but an insulting one at that. If he could touch the living...but he took a deep breath and began to address his concerns one at a time.

"You've noticed it's the same day, haven't you? This couple was here yesterday. Everything they did yesterday they're doing today. Check your phone. The date hasn't changed. It won't change tomorrow. Or the day after that. You are caught in a loop. That is why you'll be their caddy forever. Because if you stay here, this cycle will never stop. You'd be amazed how even the most mundane of days can turn into someone's personal Hell." He stepped back, still glaring hard at Lorenzo. This was a tough nut to crack. He was going to have to be...dramatic. "The Gate is not a theory. It's the Pearly Gates, where I will lead you when you die. Where I will lead them," he nodded at the old couple. "I'm not some crazy person. I. Am. Death."

Suddenly his face darkened. His skin merged with his suit until it became a single entity - a brown robe that loomed over Lorenzo. A pair of massive brown wings shot out of the reaper's back. His hands had turned to bone, just barely visible under his long robes, and when he spoke there was a grinding and clacking, as if his jaw was now unimpeded by flesh. He stood over him, staring down with empty eye sockets that saw all.

"Willing to listen now?"
@Crowley - Silas Mureau
The stranger smirked. "No vans. We just need to find a door." He looked around the park. "The nearest house will be fine..." He craned his head until he spotted a stoop leading up to an apartment building. "That'll do." He led Silas out of the park and towards the building. "When we get to the door, all you have to do is insert the key and think 'Parthenon Sub.' And...I can't guarantee you'll like the truth. But you're a smart kid. I think even if you don't like it, you'll find a way to accept it."

"Agh!" Marcus yelped, spinning around at the sound of an unexpected voice. And then he saw a man he'd never seen before, and blinked, starting to freak out even more. As he stepped closer and made no sound, Marcus took his own steps back and tripped on a chair, stumbling back into the fridge with his heavy backpack, dropping the key in the process. Both arms went around Inu, who was cowering and whimpering in the face of this strange stranger.

"Wh-who are you, what are you doing here, how did you get here, and what do you mean loop?" Marcus gave a nervous barrage of questions to the newcomer, slowly stroking Inu's head to try and calm himself down. In truth he could very well be receptive to all this - the books in his backpack would be proof of that - but at the moment he was a little too freaked out to be able to actually apply his brain to anything.

Lavenza kept herself silent, watching the man's reactions to the key. It had seem that this man had a complicated relationship with the key, and judging by the deja vu she has had this man wasn't lying. "Well if you wanted to kill me you would've from the start, so I guess I can trust you." she simply spoke, walking closer towards the slightly see-through figure in front of her. Hearing him speak about the door and about how it would fit further confused her, but she knew she had to trust him to get answers.

She was reaching out her slender arm towards the door with the key, before she paused slightly. She turned back to look at her apartment, as if she was silently saying goodbye to her old life, before turning back to face the door. His first few sentences rang in her head, about how her peaceful life was about to be taken away, and she felt that she had to at least mentally prepare herself for what she was about to get herself into. She positioned the key in front of the doorknob, and she watched in awe as a keyhole appeared out of nowhere. The girl closed her eyes, and took a deep breath before whispering to herself. "Parthenon Sub." After her words, she turned the key and opened the door, opening her eyes slowly to what would be her new adventure.

"Yeah, okay buddy. Whatever you say," Lorenzo interrupted halfway through as the man continued to explain.

While the man only confirmed Lorenzo's suspicion of him being some wacko, it was the only somewhat plausible reason for the day feeling the exact same as yesterday. It was a hard one to tell. Working on a golf course feels mundane every single day. The same people arrive at the same times to do the same four things on rotation. Most even wear their same golf clothes. Rarely does anyone new show up. And, those that do are usually children with their parent's to try and golf. They usually don't return.

Looking at the couple yards away, Lorenzo scratched his head uneasily. His lower lip curled into his mouth to bite it anxiously. The man continued to explain, talking about eventually this turning into a personal Hell and the introduction of Pearly Gates. To Lorenzo, the man wasn't helping his case. Instead of a theorist about the beginnings of the universe, the man was sounding more like your typical religious nutcase.

"You are death? Alright get outta here you crossed the line. I don't have any coins to donate to your preaching-"

His face froze in mid-sentence, ajar mouth curving awkwardly as the man transformed into a single entity encased in a robe. Any color his body held instantly washed away, his knees locking in place to hold up his body from passing out. The only movement came from his eyes that flustered from the entity, to the couple, and then finally at his feet.

"...oh god!" he fell on his knees onto the hard, grassy ground, his face collapsing in pain. "How? How did I die? Oh god, please don't take me away! Wait...you said 'when you die', right? That means I'm still alive? Am I about to die? Please don't let me die so soon! What do I need to do with you? Strike a deal? I'll do anything! I'm not ready to go!"

Burying his face into his hands, Lorenzo discreetly wiped any tears that flowed from his eyes with his finger tips. Was this bad karma that accumulated throughout his life that put him in this situation? How did he even get stuck in this loop? Many questions ran through Lorenzo's mind, but at the moment he was too upset to even ask.

Silas Mureau
Silas kept his distance and always maintained a watchful eye over the stranger as he led them to a nearby building, there was a burning sensation on the back of his neck as though he were being watched and he hated it. Snorting slightly as the well-dressed lunatic described that basically his key was going to open a 'door-way' to somewhere else, apparently from any door. Though some of this was speculation and conjecture, Silas presumed he understood at least the basic concept. "You're about to enter another dimension..." he mocked the ordeal slightly, offering a reference to the Twilight Zone.
He waited patiently as the stranger stepped aside at the threshold of the apartment building, Silas' right hand instinctively delving into his pocket and tracing his fingers along the key before withdrawing it. "Parthenon Sub, huh? This feels more like a conscription than fate, but...not like I got much else to do or live for. Let's see what happens." he spoke the words aloud yet there was a tone that accompanied them that implied he wasn't fishing for a response, so much as convincing himself that he wanted to do this. In truth, Silas always fantasized about adventures, magic and other realities, it'd begun with his mother reading him Treasure Island as a child and was cultivated like a fine wine as he grew older.
Working the key forwards between his fingers, he gripped it firmly before positioning it against the keyhole in the door, noticing that oddly the key seemed to fit despite not quite fitting the shape of the keyhole. He chose to ignore this revelation and save it for later, when in need of something to ponder. Silas closed his eyes and emptied his mind, thinking only of the words 'Parthenon Sub' as he then twisted the key in the door and reached up to turn the knob, opening the door and stepping through the threshold. "I'll see you on the other side..."

Mauro Jakobs

Mauro visibly flinched when the man moved to slap him, jerking his head to the side. Then he just grinned goofily as the man passed through him. "Wow. Just wow. This is some next level stuff, man." And, in fact, he did have some questions - who was Order? - but he was excited enough to let it pass. So he followed the man instead.

Of course, there were more issues. How exactly would he fix this? Would anyone really care he was gone? He would hate to get in trouble for this stuff. But maybe he should look at it more seriously; it was probably more important than minor stuff like that. One possibility he considered for half a second was that he had finally gone insane, that he was a few cents short of a dollar. Nah, he thought to himself. He took out the key and stared at it, then clenched it in his hand. No, this was, against all odds, actually happening.

@Mythy the Dragon-Wolf - Marcus Hart (and Inu)

The stranger sighed, taking a step back and kneeling down so that he was eye-level with the frightened boy. How to explain this? He tried to remember the information about this one. Marcus Hart...D&D player. The loud shuffling from his backpack when he spazzed out all but confirmed he had dice and books in there.

"Okay...Marcus?" he said in a questioning voice. He knew it would be easier to handle if the kid believed he just thought he was in the right place, rather than knew it without any explanation. "My name is Abel. I haven't had people call me that in a long time...My point is, I've been around. I'm able to come and go anywhere I please, but the catch is I can't interact with anything. As a result I've seen a lot of things. Things I think you would like to see. You play D&D, right?" He waited for him to say yes. "Well, how'd you like to see the real metaphysical planes?" He smiled. "I can. Rather, I can show you how to access them yourself. You have the key to all those doors."
@DangoYumi - Lavender Scarlet
The man went in after Lavender, who would find herself in a room lit by only a few cracks of light high towards the ceiling. The floor was made of polished wood, while the ceiling appeared to be ancient bricks of concrete. He went feeling around for a light switch while took it in.

"Watch your step. There's quite a few cabinets here." Finally finding the switch - an old pull lever, he pulled it down and about a dozen metal spheres opened up, revealing hovering miniature stars inside.

The whole room was lit to reveal hardwood cabinets with glass sides and doors, inside which were all sorts of strange things. In one was a bunch of candelabras and candlesticks with varying numbers of heads. In another there were black strips of cloth and tubes that looked like blow darts. Another smaller one had a bunch of gold loops which looked like the rings in Sonic games. And dotted here and there were pedestals containing objects not found in any other cabinet. But those objects didn't look too impressive; there was a sword hilt, a gold chain, and a thermos among other things.

"Welcome to Rome," the stranger said. "Or more accurately, welcome to beneath Rome. You're under the Parthenon. This is the personal armory of the Locks. If you'll please wait here, I'm going to go get the others."

She wouldn't get to say anything to keep him there, as he was already gone.
@Pray4me - Lorenzo Montenegro
Death laughed, changing back to his human form. "Don't be a crybaby. You're not dead. Strictly speaking, I don't kill people. I ferry those that die to the other side. The reason you can see me is because you have a gift. It's the same gift that lets you see the world's looping. Without it, you'd be as oblivious to me as them." He nodded to the old couple.

He softened then. "Look, wipe your eyes please. Seeing people come to terms with their death is the hardest part of my job, and you don't even have to do it. As I was saying before, I need your help. I know how to stop the loop, but it's against the rules for me to do anything. You have to. With a few others. Ready to go?"
@Crowley - Silas Mureau
The door opened to the lit room beneath the Parthenon. Silas would see that someone else was already there; a woman looking about as lost and confused as he was, maybe even more. "Welcome to Rome," he said. "She can explain while I get the rest of the arrivals. There...should be chairs by the car if you want to get comfortable." He pointed to the left of the door, where neither of them had noticed a 1930s Model T Ford sitting in a little ramped driveway. The ramp seemed to lead up into the ceiling behind the car, going nowhere. Next to it were a set of wooden fold-out chairs that looked like they were from the 60s.
@Viral - Mauro Jakobs
"Here." The stranger led Mauro to the back of a building to the maintenance door. It was wisely locked, but they weren't trying to get into the building. "Put your key in, think 'Parthenon Sub,' and enter. You'll find others waiting for you. Try not to grill them on questions; their just as confused as you are right now. But by all means, talk. They're...something like your co-workers now."

Marcus blinked and looked away from the eyes of the other as he knelt down in front of him, still stroking Inu and holding the young pup close to his side. At the use of his name, he blinked, and glanced at him through the corner of his eyes. He sighed a bit, able to calm down a bit. Though as he began to speak a bit more, his eyes widened and he put Inu down next to him, who decided to sneak forwards and hesitantly sniff the strange man.

"Right..." he pulled out his backpack and then a book, flipping through the pages and then looking through another book. He nodded a bit and then grinned for a while, before shaking himself off of it and putting everything away, picking up Inu and pulling out the key, looking at the man - Abel. "We-well.. I mean, if you need me then.." he looked at the key and then walked to a door, figuring a key would need a door. "I guess I shouldn't say no? Doesn't work in JRPGs anyway." he says to himself, watching Abel and waiting, seeming now excited at the prospect.

The light that beckoned Silas forth into the doorway was blinding and even possessed a comforting warmth as he arrived almost instantly upon the other side of it. Listening contemplatively to the stranger's words, he was all but bored until he laid eyes on [BCOLOR=#000000]her[/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=#000000], the young woman that was apparently his new compatriot of sorts. She was exceptionally beautiful, intimidatingly so and seemed to be close to his age.[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=#000000]"Glad I wasn't the only one gullible enough to take the red pill..." He offered the words as nervous small-talk, attempting to break the ice and get a feel for her personality as she seemed more confused than him about their current surroundings. Hastily stowing his key away in his right pants-pocket, he deftly tucks his hands into his pockets as well and proceeds to glimpse about the room to gleam a bit of information that might be available.[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=#000000]Silas would pace over towards the 1930's Model T and look it over a bit as it seemed more out of place than him in this 'basement-armory', he'd been spirited away to. Shifting his attention to an ancient candelabra and various other archaic or antiquated relics of time, he'd slowly begin tracing his fingers along each of them, as if in their touch he could feel a story being told. "You can call me Silas, sorry, I...have an affinity for history." He spoke the words with a somber and genuine tone, feeling apologetic for not offering his name sooner and thoroughly lacking any manners. [/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=#000000]Carefully avoiding the various cabinets which adorned the room in various places, he recalled how he'd arrived at this place and had no interest in suddenly falling into the Atlantic Ocean or some other undesirable location. Turning his back on the young woman to pace over towards what appeared to be a work-desk in the armory, he pulled open it's various drawers and began sifting through the contents. He was looking for nothing in particular, more or less this was a journey of discovery, Silas knew that to be the smartest man in the room, he needed to have the most information.[/BCOLOR]

Mauro took a deep breath, then inserted the key into the lock.

"Parthenon Sub," he whispered, and thought to himself, time to see if I'm really insane or not. He pushed.

It took him a second to adjust his mind when he came out the other side. He had been expecting a ratty maintenance room, or even more likely, just the resistance of a locked door. But now he was suddenly in this strange place. A strange place that Mauro had to admit looked really nice. He drew a finger across the smooth wood of one of the cabinets near him. Definitely real. Definitely stylish.

"So I'm really not insane," he muttered to himself. "Or doubly so," he added on, and smiled in a rather goofy way. If he was going to be crazy, he was going to at least enjoy it.

It took him another second to realize he was sharing the place with two others. He paused for another second as his brain accounted for this new factor, then stood up straighter and smiled at them, waving. The wave was probably unnecessary, but this seemed a unique enough situation to excuse it. These where the people that the ghost man probably called his coworkers. Cool, he thought.

At this point, all Lorenzo wanted to do was sit under a tree and become a rock to the world. All this information given to him all at once was too much for him to handle. He was all confused, all mixed up, unsure of what to do or say. He got up from his knees, brushing away the small cuts of grass that stuck on his pants. Sniffling loudly, he used the back of his hand to clean his face, shamefully wiping away the tears that ran down his cheeks.

He stared off at the old couple, then at the castle of a clubhouse in the distance. Soon, his eyes looked up at the evening sky until they landed back at the man in front of him.

"No, no I'm not ready to go. I don't even want to go. I just want to go home, take a shower, and go to bed," Lorenzo shared honestly. "But, it's whatever, right? The sooner this is over with, the sooner things can go back to normal and I can go home."

Everything was still so confusing to him, but at this point he didn't need an in depth explanation. All Lorenzo understood was that he was stuck in a loop and for some reason he had to get time and the world unstuck. This wasn't a job he ever wanted to sign up for. If it was possible, Lorenzo would pass this responsibility onto someone else. Someone who actually cared about saving what needed to be saved.

"Let's go," he answered.

He was only agreeing to save himself from this loop.

Lavender (Lavenza) Scarlet

After entering with the man, she realized the surroundings of the dark area, and blinked a few times trying to get used to it. It wasn't until the man pulled a lever and revealed the floating stars. She couldn't help but be amazed at the view, and paused a moment to admire the view. It reminded her of her love for the scene of twilight, and she felt her curiosity peak even more. She was looking around like a curious kitten, before she heard the sound of another person's footsteps.

Turning back, it seemed that the man before had disappeared, and another boy was standing there. She watched as he spoke, seemingly shoving something into his pocket. She remembered the key that she had and figured that she might want to keep it close to her, and decided to slide hers into the current necklace she was wearing. It had fit perfectly, and she held it in her hand for a moment, hoping it was the right choice.

When she looked back up, the boy had already been moving around the room and admiring the antique items in it, making her walk closer to him in attempts to survey the items as well. Hearing him speak about his name, she chuckled at his apology. "No need to be sorry. I'm Lavenza." she told him her name, and begun to walk around to study the items for herself.

When asked by the boy, she simply shrugged and continued walking with her eyes glued on the cabinets. "I was curious." she answered, brushing a lock of her hair behind her ear. "And I figured the only way to get some answers is to get involved." she continued, trying not to touch anything in order to avoid any mayhem that might occur.

@Mythy the Dragon-Wolf - Marcus Hart (and Inu)
The stranger smiled as Marcus got up and went to the door, already figuring out the basics. It was amazing how hard it could be for people to figure out what a key was for.

"We're not going to the Realms just yet," he said. "We've got to join you with the others. I've been at this all day, so excuse me if this tutorial is a little rushed now. Please put the key in and think to yourself 'Parthenon Sub.'" He waited until he opened the door and wound up in the room where the other three Locks were waiting around. He let Marcus take in the stars that floated overhead as lights, the hardwood floors, and the shelves of innocuous armaments. His little pup sniffed around curiously, then sneezed at the light coating of dust that covered everything. "Almost done. One more and I'll be able to explain everything. Just...don't try to punch this prick when he shows up.
@Pray4me - Lorenzo Montenegro
Death rolled his eyes at Lorenzo's resigned fate. If every Lock was like this kid, Simon would have won a long time ago. All he could hope was that over time Lorenzo would see how important the job he was being given was. He looked at the old couple along with him. He didn't blame the kid for not getting a lot of satisfaction from this gig. He hoped saving the world would give him some more drive.

"I'll take it. Now come with me." He led Lorenzo to the clubhouse at the top of the hill. "When we get there, put your key in the lock, think to yourself 'Parthenon Sub,' and go in. The rest are there waiting."

Marcus Hart (& Inu)

"Parthenon Sub?" Marcus asked softly, which worked as much as a meaningful statement for the key, since it was already in the door. Once the door opened to the large room, he saw three (soon to be four) other people. Inu wiggled in his arms, and the young man quietly shushed his pup as he walked through the door and kept a comfortable distance from the rest of them. He was still nervous, and was never really great around new people. Nevertheless, he saw a bunch of nondescript items on and in cabinets. With wide, nigh-sparkling eyes, he put down the pup and smiled a bit. "Stay close, Inu." he said, pulling out one of his books and sneaking over to the items, looking through to see if he recognized anything.

Of course, close was relative. Inu wagged his tail and sniffed the ground, before waltzing over to the other three and looking them over curiously. Should any of them try to grab him, he would yip and run from them, over to Marcus' side, who continued to do his research-type activity.

The girl continued scanning the room, silently and cautiously taking in everything. Many thoughts were going through her mind, but not a single emotion was on her face. She kept herself emotionless, until she heard someone step in. It was another male, and a....puppy? She stopped in her tracks and blinked a few times, watching the boy whisper to the pup and place it on the ground, before going on a self absorbed adventure with a book.

Lavenza had always loved animals, even though she didn't seem like the kind to fawn over them. She kept a straight face and watched the pup, obviously more interested in it than it's owner at the moment. She stayed silent and allowed the pup to sniff around, watching it waddle it's way towards them. She felt her heart jump at the adorable puppy, and crouched down silently. She made sure to not frighten the puppy, and a small gentle smile crawled on her face. She remained crouched and reached out a hand, staying in that position with the smile still stuck on her face. She thought this would be the perfect time to interact with the puppy, since no one else was paying attention to her.

Marcus Hart (& Inu)

"That could be.. no..." Marcus mumbled to himself, looking at one of the candelabras curiously. He smiled a little at being able to seemingly be living in one of his adventures. After a moment he put away his book and grabbed a thermos curiously, just about to pull off the lid when he heard a yip.

Inu, his young puppy, had plodded his way over to the people, and cocked his head curiously at the young woman who had crouched down and held out a hand. Like the good little puppy he was, he snuck forwards and sniffed at her fingers, his tail giving a soft wag at her scent. He rubbed his head forwards a bit more, and gave a happy yip.

"Inu?" Marcus asked as he looked around, and then saw his puppy. He smiled a bit more and put down the thermos before walking over to his puppy, not realizing he was near the only girl in the group. When he got to Inu, he crouched and pet his pup. "Stay near me, okay? Don't want you getting hurt.." he said softlty, before looking up and noticing the girl. He blinked and blushed quite a bit. "O-oh.. hello, um.. I'm Marcus.. guess we're.. gonna be doing this together.. with the others.." he introduced himself nervously, politely, as Inu rubbed between them, quite enjoying the attention.

Lavender (Lavenza) Scarlet

Lavenza wore a much brighter smile when the puppy enjoyed her company, happy that she didn't scare the precious thing. However, it was too late for her to hide her expressions as the owner of the pup had already walked towards her while she wasn't paying attention. She pet the puppy gently, before realizing the figure that had just crouched in front of her.

Her eyes moved upwards, and watched the boy talking to the pup. Hoping that he didn't see her dorky smile, she took a deep breath to regain her composure, and it was at that moment their eyes met. Seeing him blush however had made her fail to hide her smile, and she chuckled gently. She allowed him some time to introduce himself and continued petting the puppy with a smile on her face, speaking with a reassuring tone. "Don't worry, I won't bite. You can call me Lavenza." she spoke, before lifting her free hand up to her lips and placing a finger in front of it. "Let's keep my goofy smile a secret okay?" she whispered, shushing gently while she continued to pet the pup, chuckling once again at how adorable both the owner and the pet was.

Silas continued perusing the contents of the work-desk's drawers as more willing participants of this charade seemed to endlessly swarm into the room, one by one. Catching a glimpse out of the corner of his eye at one of his new associates possessing a small puppy, he rolled his eyes and stealthily stowed away a few things he'd found into his pockets. Silas had virtually ignored the young man which had offered him a polite wave as he turned from the desk to look over the group. "I didn't expect this much company, here I was feeling special."
His words were spoken in a manner that conveyed a joking yet sardonic tone as he instinctively kept both hands in his pockets and traced the fingertips of his right hand along the ridges of his key. It wasn't that Silas didn't like animals, he found them to be more honest and noble than humans in most cases, though in a circumstance where they might not all walk away or where this could be an elaborate trap, it seemed naive and bordering on asinine to bring a pet. Despite his misgivings though, he offered the small puppy a gentle smile as he watched it interact with Lavenza.
"I take you all found keys too, huh?" As he spoke, the words were more of a rhetorical question and as though the real inquiry was veiled by confusion. The gears were turning in Silas' brain as he listened to their replies or read their expressions when it was possible, being a pessimist and a skeptic at heart he was too much of a logical thinker for his own good and some of this didn't add up. Offering each of the new denizens of the armory a polite nod, Silas would slowly slink into the shadows of a corner and proceed to process this information.
It was bothering him immensely, something was off about all of this and none of them seemed to really grasp the real issue that seemed glaringly obvious to him or at least they showed no signs of it. This armory obviously existed long before they found their keys, further more that desk had contained evidence of at least a previous owner. Then there was the keys, what were the odds that all of these random young kids would find them and suddenly be asked to come to this strange place? It occurred to Silas that they likely were not the first ones to possess these keys and if that were the case, they were the last resorts...or accidents. Silas didn't like that conclusion as he spoke up again from the corner. "Anyone else about ready for an explanation?"

Mauro Jakobs

"Pretty sure we all have keys, at least, if we all got here the same way," Mauro piped up. He was a slight bit miffed at being ignored, but this stuff seemed pretty cool, so he wasn't going to let a small thing like that bother him. Yet.

"
When I got the key, a ghost guy showed up. Did you get a different guy or is it all the same? Did he tell you anything, like, at all? He told me we'd be working together and stuff, and also something about someone called Order. He said he'd tell us more once we were all together," Mauro added on cheerfully. He gave the guy who had asked the questions a once over, then the girl, then the other boy, and perked up at the sight of the dog. He liked dogs. Cats more, but dogs were still pretty cool. But why would someone bring their dog with them? Well, he mused inwardly, if you had a dog and you got pulled into something like this, would you have brought it with you? Probably.
