Damon gave them a skeptical and bored look...
Heheh, no.

He looked from preps...
To sleeping Relic...
And then back to the preps.
Does he move? Well...yes, but not the way the guy wanted him to.
He stretched out and kinda kick back and relaxed.
"As you can see...Shortie is asleep...So, I'm not going to 'scram.'"

He smirked a little. "But you can leave a message and I'll think about whether I'll pass it on or forget it ten seconds after you leave.
How does that work for you? To many words, not so many gestures?"

The guy bristled as his friend frowned.
"Dude, that's totally not fair. Why shouldn't my friend be allowed to ask him out?"
Yes the kid was sleeping but that didn't mean he belonged to the new kid!
The boy stepped between the two boys on the ground as his friend knelt down besides Relic.
She touched his shoulder lightly and then shook.
It only took a few shakes to get Relic's eyes to blink open.
"Mmmn?"
Was it time for class already...?

"U-um...s-sorry for waking you."
Her face got even redder but Relic gave her a hesitant smile to hopefully get what needed to be said out quicker.
"I-I like you! Please go out with me!"

Well...that hadn't been expected.
However.
"I'm sorry, I'm gay..."
With that Relic rolled over onto his belly and hugged his backpack before closing his eyes again.

Damon was about to object, saying it had nothing really to do with the fact Relic was sleeping-
It had to do with the fact he had space issues...
With those that weren't his own species.
Which just so happened to be werewolves-
The exact reason why he had sought out Relic instead of some other kid.
Why he wasn't skulking away in a corner...
Ahem...
Moving on.

That reply he gave the girl...
Well, he looks like he could be the type...but then again, it could have been a ruse...
Damon shall be asking about it later.

He yawned a bit boredly.
"Well, there you have it. The answer to your little question...
Just going to insert my own comment... Sometimes you are lucky, sometimes you are not...Guess today was one of the 'not.'"
Yes, he was that heartless about other people's emotions.

The girl's eyes were starting to water but her friend helped her up and away with a glare towards the two laying down.
Oh well, she could try again with someone else.

As soon as the other two were back at their table and spreading rumors about Relic and his new 'friend' the boy blinked open his eyes sleepily.
"Annoying girls..."
He whispered, not really 'there' but still wanting to say that.

The boy snuggled down further into his backpack before closing his eyes again.
Yes, he was still listening to anything Damon might want to say but he didn't want to keep his eyes open right now.

Damon was back to his glaring fest-
Yes, he could hear those rumors...That's what he hated about preps... Rumors.

"Yes, very annoying them...
Especially when they bounce and roll around you when they stink of heat."
Say, ain't that just an animal thing...?

Oh...He was letting Relic know that he knew what he was...
In a cryptic, only someone who paid very close attention would get it, kind of way.

Relic's eyes blinked open abruptly at the sound of the other boy's words.
He was a wolf??

The boy sat up sleepily, eying the kid in front of him.
Then he was leaning over, invading his space and sniffing against his neck.

He could hear the preps start up new rumors as they saw what he was doing.
They probably thought he was kissing the other boy's neck, whatever.
He already said he was gay so it didn't really matter to him.

As Relic leaned back he grinned slightly.
"So your a wolf too...that's why you didn't say anything in the stairwell."
That would explain it.

Damon shrugged.
What was there to say...?

"It is also why I'm not skulking in a corner and being a recluse...
Space issues...Around the 'others.'"

He glanced in the direction of the preps-
None of them were werewolves...None of them would he dare go near on purpose.
"They're like sulfur- just as rotten in smell."

One prep heard this and was fuming and passed along the message that he thought they had BO.
That got him a round of glares, and one even called him out, asking what the deal was.
He just answered with another rude gesture.

Relic actually laughed at the mean comment.
He honestly didn't care about the annoying kids across the lawn so he didn't hold back his giggles.
Yes, he didn't laugh like a normal guy most times.
At least not next to someone who knew was openly gay.

"I guess I'm just used to it.
You probably will be too soon."

He gave the boy a quick smile before glancing at his lap.
"Hmm, can I borrow your lap? My backpack sucks for a pillow with all the books in it..."

Damon shrugged.
"Go ahead- just no funny business."
He might have befriended him, but that was it.
No funny business from either of them.

Of course they were going to be labeled as gay couple-
But most cases, that's fine in a wolf society if the number of females are low...

As far as Damon knew, there was two female wolves in the school, but each were already taken by some males-
Total of seven wolves, but two had had their Paws taken for the safety of the humans.

The boy chuckled and laid down in Damon's lap.
"I've got someone else for..."
Er.
He hadn't seem Kyros in awhile...
With a sigh he turned towards the boy onto his side and shrugged.
"Never mind."

Relic hadn't really paid attention to the other wolves, not really caring that they were there or not.
He never really wanted a female mate so there was no reason to mess with them...but his parents don't know that yet.
Hopefully they won't for awhile.
Even if they are gay they probably want him to be normal just because of that.
Tch.

Damon dismissed the 'never mind.'
"Come on now-
No one says 'never mind' if they have someone..."
He nudged Relic's shoulder.
"Is he giving you a tough time?
Trying to steal your blaze?"

Apparently he thought that Relic was in a relationship with a male werewolf...
One that was trying to dominate him.
That or the bastard was a prep and boy did he hate preppy werewolves...
Worse than human preps.
Too bad he didn't know that Relic was attached to a shape shifter.

Relic chuckled lightly but shook his head in the lap it was resting.
"Nothing like that...I don't even really 'have' him..."
The boy sighed and curled up a bit.
"Don't worry about it."
Heck, Kyros was probably not even allowed to see Ridel anymore.

"I can worry about what ever I want, Relic."
Damon frowned.
"Even about things that aren't my business.
So what's the trip with him? Moved away? Higher social status? Disease?"
If Kyros could hear this...he'd be laughing up a storm.

"Um...not really" Relic responded with a bit of surprise.
For another male wolf to actually care about what was going on was odd, but then again he hadn't bothered to talk to other males.
He just figured they felt territorial like he sometimes did.
Wonder why he wasn't territorial around Damon.
"His parents don't like mine...and my parents hate him."
Rolling over he stared up at the other boy, trying not to look upset.
"I haven't seen him in two weeks...but if I go over there I'll get grounded again..."

"...Well, your life sucks."
Very blunt of you, Damon...
Very blunt indeed.
"Wanna know what I think you should do?
Play it safe.
Your parents hate him, his parents hate your parents...
Well, do the best thing for the two of you and just cut ties. There are plenty of fish in the sea, after all."

The boy's face distorted slightly, paling in color.
Cut off ties with Kyros?
"B-but...he's my best friend..."
Well, he was?
Damnit.
"I can't do that to him...he's so much fun, and cute, a-and..."
Relic was trying not to cry and luckily for him he could just roll back over and face Damon's shirt.
After he got himself together he sat up...then tackled the other kid with a gruff growl.
It wasn't an aggressive thing, just needing to blow off steam.
Hell, he really wanted to go running through the woods nearby but kids would definitely question why he'd left that way and not out the front door or at least walk around to the front of the school.

Cute...fun...best friend...
All of that isn't important if you can't see them.

I guess Damon never really had a friend before.
At least...
Not one like Kyros.
Oh well.
His loss, not Relic's.
Speaking of Relic-
Damon easily rolled him over so that seemed to have been the one that had tackled him.
Kids started rooting them all, some even chanting 'fight' over and over.
Humans...They'll never understand a blow off steam behavior of werewolves.

Ridel bristled as he was pinned down.
He hadn't expected it to be reversed and he was normally a dominant pup, to put into a submissive position irked him slightly.
However, he still needed to blow off steam and perhaps the other boy did as well.
Either way, he shoved the other boy off him and then bolted for the trees.
The second he was out of site he was in wolf form, spinning abruptly to play see if his friend came.
He needed a rough tumble soooo badly.

Oh, Damon followed...
But I don't think it would be wise to pick a rumble with him...
Damon appeared out of the thickest of the trees in wolf form-
And man was he a giant! Almost double Relic's size...
Still looking for a rumble? the large light grey wolf asked.
If this is a Colorado werewolf...I wonder what one from Canada looks like.

Holy pineapples.
Relic had his tail tucked beneath his stomach so fast you'd think it was fused there.
He dropped to the ground and rolled over onto his back, giving his belly to the giant wolf.

The boy honestly thought it was a teacher of some random adult male from the local pack his father ran so he submitted right away.
But then he realized the scent and blinked up at Damon.

'D-Damon...?'
He replied mentally in confusion.
