Wolves, Vampires, Shifters... Oh My.

No worries, Ridel-
Kyros was out in the back yard, exploring it.
Ashke growled, tightening his grip on Ridel as he played a little rough with the others mouth.
I take it that he wasn't actually trying to take control... But was wanting to feel the others emotions or for Ridel to snap back.

Zack gave Relic a look- I believe it spelled out 'do you agree to that?'
Something like that...or maybe something else. Either way, Zack waited for his son's answer.

Relic flattened his ears and whimpered, but scampered away from the door.

Ridel was finally responding, snapping at Ashke's face with fangs bared.
He could tell the other boy was outside so...
After a bit of shifting and a few hand motions they were getting busy under the bed.
Good thing it was a decent amount of inches off the floor but it was still a tight fit.
Oh well, Ridel didn't mind at all but it made it hard to move too much.

Ashke probably had a billion bite marks on his neck now though...

Oh, surely not a billion...
Most likely just a hundred...maybe two hundred...

Zack followed after Relic.
"I'll take that as a yes."
To be honest...that was all he could do. After all- this wasn't really his business.

Kyros observed his surroundings of the back yard. It was fairly large...and there didn't seem to be any neighbors...
Yes, he could live alright here. Practice his shape shifting outside... A pool for aquatic animals...a few trees for monkeys or other tree lovers...open sky for birds... It'll work.

*Fifteen minutes later*
Ridel had taken a shower to rinse off more then water, then wrapped a towel around his waist before shoving Ashke into the stall.
Slipping on some shorts Ridel made his way outside, hopping down from the balcony with a big grin.
"So, how do you like your new home?"
He was honestly a bit nervous.
If the kid didn't like them he could request to go back to the orphanage...
And even though this had kinda been a plan to get him to mess with Relic he wanted him to like them.

Kyros had been sitting in the middle of the back yard when Ridel had came down form the balcony.
What had he been doing?
Why, he had been observing the animals that lived in the area...
So far it was just some sparrows and a toad.
He looked over at Ridel- he was smiling a bit, so I don't think he'll be requesting that he be sent back to the orphanage.
"It's pretty cool, ya know...?"

In the shower...well, Ashke was trying to count all the bites before they would be healed and taken from sight.
Weirdo.

Hahaha, Ashke, your so weird.

Ridel smiled as he sat down next to Kyros.
"Glad you like it, me and Ashke are pretty picky."
He got up after a moment and offered a hand down for the boy.
"There's a huge nature preserve to the right of the house."
He nodded towards it, then grinned.
"Deer..."
There were five large animals at the edge of the property almost out of site near the forestry.
They seemed to be curious about Kyros.

Yes, he is very weird.

Kyros was confused at what a nature preserve was.
But after accepting a hand up...
He understood when he barely saw the deer.
He never seen deer before, so he never tried shifting into one-
Well, except once, but he ended up shifting into a goat.
But now that he saw them... It just happened.
One moment you see Kyros...the next, a white buck despite the fact that none of the deer were white.
He always seemed to go white on the first try...

Ridel grinned as the boy shifted.
A white deer neh?
Not bad.

He patted the boy on the back and nodded towards the others.
"Go introduce yourself? Just no breeding."
Oh yes, that was totally gonna be the running joke.

"Oh ha ha, very funny." said Kyros, having to shift his vocal chords to human for a bit to say that- but then they were changed to deer.
He made his way carefully towards the other deer...
Just to be stopped by the herd's leading buck.

Kyros retreated a bit as the other stamped its foot and made a raking motion with its antlers. A challenge of dominance.
'I'm not interesting in taking your herd! I just wanted to say hello!' Kyros said in Deer.
The other buck just charged- Kyros fled to a tree, shifting to a squirrel as he climbed up. The buck hit its head on the trunk, but then the heard had bounded off.

"That wasn't very nice of him. I didn't see the buck a moment ago.
Guess he was lurking about the side of the house."
Ridel shook his head and grinned up at the Kyros squirrel.
He walked over to below the tree, reaching up.
"Come here, bud, I'll catch you."
He figured Kyros could get down by himself but he'd feel much more like a father if he let him catch him at least once or twice.

The shape shifter scampered down a bit, then dropped from the tree.
Instead of landing in Ridel's hands, he landed on his shoulder.
Still a squirrel though.
He chattered at him, like a normal squirrel-
Except he was trying to talk.
'He was there, but I thought he'd be tame around other males...guess I was wrong...or maybe it was the white...'

Ridel didn't quiet understand but he figured Kyros was confused at the other male's actions.
"It's getting close to winter time, which means breeding season.
He probably thought you were gonna take his girls."
Ridel started heading back towards the house with a grin on his face.
"You are a pretty cute kid but I don't think you've got enough balls to claim an entire heard of girls."
He laughed then as he stepped inside with the squirrel on his shoulder.

"Ashy, you done in the shower yet?" The young man called up to his lover.

Slightly grumpy chatter inserted here...
I guess Kyros doesn't like his ego being chewed at.
Just like any other boy, apparently.

Let's check on Ashke...

"I dun wanna get out...It's like a sauna..."
Meaning? He had it on high heat...enough to make it very steamy in the bathroom.
He was also mumbling a tune- I can't identify what it is though.

Ridel rolled his eyes and headed into the kitchen.
Fetching a bag of blood from the fridge he was about to take bite into it when he heard someone scraping at the door.
Hmmm?
That was odd...why would an animal be at their door?
Unless it was that male from earlier wanting a piece of the deer-turned-squirrel.

However, when Ridellious opened the door his eyebrows shot up with surprise.
There was a little Relic hunched over in his puppy form, ears flattened to the sides and tail tucked under his belly.
Guess he didn't wait for Greg and Zile to come by and check on Kyros.

Kyros had scampered over to the door at the first scratch.
Hm...Who was there-
Relic! But...how...? How'd he get here...?

He shifted back to human, a confused look on his face.
"Relic...?
How...What are you doing here?"
Very confusing...
Wait...He didn't run from home, right? Oh, please don't be a run away...Unless... an accident...?
Whaaaaat haaaappened?

As the door opened Relic nearly bolted at the sight of Ridel.
His hackles rose out of instinct but he kept his jaws shut and his posture submissive.
When he noticed the other boy standing in the doorway his tail wagged furiously between his legs.
That's when his mouth opened and closed a tiny bit, the action of whimpering but no sound came out.

Relic stared down at the pup with just as much confusion as Kyros.
He knew why the kid was there though, he was afraid they'd hurt his best friend but coming to your enemies house?
Not the best idea.

'Ashke, love. Zack and Alec's pup is at the door...'

Kyros knelt and gave Relic a pet.
"Been out of your sight for a few hours and already you had missed me.
If that's only after spending the night at your house, I sympathize your parents when I don't come over."
He smiled sheepishly.

Ashke frowned at this bit of information, turning off the shower.
If one shows...more follow...
They had moved to avoid being found by their enemies...

'Get him away from here...before his parents show up.'

Relic quickly pushed into Kyros' hand for more attention.
He was also sniffing the air for any hints of blood from the boy but he seemed in perfect health.
The joke from the other boy didn't seem to even faze him, probably because it was true.
He only had one friend so he was extremely protective of him.

"Kid. You need to leave."

Relic jerked back several steps, ducking closer to the ground as his belly rubbed against the cement step.
He didn't want to go but the vampires were obviously not on good terms with his parents...but Kyros was his friendddd!

Kyros didn't want Relic to go...
But if he had to go...then why not offer...
"Can I walk him home...?" he asked Ridel.
"I promise I'll come straight home, and won't talk to strangers, and even avoid mysterious white vans..."

Don't ask about the vans.

Ashke listened from upstairs.
Listening for the mutt -Relic -to leave... To go back home... Away from here.

Ridel seemed to think about his son's request for a moment.
They figured he could take care of himself and since Zack and Alec hadn't hurt him last night at all and their son was basically in love with the guy it couldn't hurt.
"Fine, but you need to come home right after."
With that information Relic backed away from the door quickly, his tail still wagging beneath his stomach, waiting for Kyros to come away from the vampire.

'He's going to walk him home, then come back'

As soon as Kyros was on the sidewalk Ridel basically bolted around him in circles, hopping up and down like a tiny puppy who wanted to play.
