Wolves, Vampires, Shifters... Oh My.

  • So many newbies lately! Here is a very important PSA about one of our most vital content policies! Read it even if you are an ancient member!
Damon gave a wolfish grin.
Well, ain't this just cute...An alpha's adopted son submitting to an omega...
Omegas...

Weren't they the wolves that usually had birth defects or just happened to be lowest in rank when in a pack?
Man...I wonder what birth defect Damon had...Or what caused him to be given this rank...

He slowly laid down, giving a yawn.
Yeah, it's still me, kid.
 
The wolf laid down next to Relic and at the mention of him being an omega Rel growled and slowly rolled over.
His legs thumped back down into the leaf litter before he got to his feet.
This guy was totally making fun of him!

Tch.
He pounced, sinking his teeth into the giant wolf's soft fur.
There was no damage since it was just a play bite but he didn't yank at it, shaking his head to try and get the other to respond.
Right now Ridel definitely needed to let steam off and this butthead omega was gonna help whether he wanted to or not.
 
Damon let out another yawn and just flopped over.
Maybe this was why...
He was so freaking lazy in wolf form.

When Relic bit at his fur, he rolled onto his back.
He knew it was a submissive position, but hey...He liked being on his back.
Especially during play time.
Little biter...
 
Oho, submission!
That definitely got Ridel into it.
He bounded over and around the large wolf, nipping and biting and jumping.
The kid was going crazy trying to get some type of response.
He even pawed at the other boy's big face, wanting to play.

'Come onnnn!'
 
Damon seemed to be ignoring the nips, bites, and jumping.
Nothing got his attention...
Until Relic started pawing at his face.
He bowled the younger one over, capturing on of his paws...
Which he then nommed on.

...Damon, you were cool...but now you are a weirdo.
 
Ridel yipped as he was shoved right into the leaf litter.
Geez!
He was so freaking tiny compared to this guy and that's not even what she said!!
He growled loudly but when his foot was captured his head titled in question.
Why was...Damon nomming on his paw?
The pup tried to free his paw himself by first pulling, then nipping at the other wolf's muzzle.
'no fairrrrr'.
 
Damon rolled his big green wolf eyes-
Yes, they were green...very pretty green.
He released Relic's paw...
But then sat up, alerted by something.
He sniffed the air, trying to see if he could scent this disturbance...
He did... Relic...Get out of here...Now!
There's a hunter!
 
Relic's playful mood vanished as his friend spoke.
He'd been just about to pounce again when his head snapped around, trying to find the hunter.
'I'm not leaving you here'. He responded mentally.
In fact, he stepped in front of Damon even though he was nearly half the size, baring his fangs into the woods.
He might not be the leading alpha but he was in line for it so he would stand up to this hunter to protect a friend.
 
Alpha pups are more important than omegas-
Now get out of here! Hunters never go for the smaller ones.
Damon nudged Relic towards where the school was in direction-wise-
It was also away from the hunter.
Before the other could even protest, he was charging away, planning on leading the hunter away from the alpha-to-be.
 
'N-no!!' Relic shouted, bolting after him.
The other wolf, being much bigger, was evidently much faster.
'Stop! Wait!'
He couldn't just let the other go off to die!
Ridel had to stop after a few minutes, panting heavily as he looked around.
Where did he go??
Where did he goooo?!?!
 
In the distance, the sound of a wolf attacking something sounded.
A man shouted in alarm, apparently the victim of the attack-
Then gunfire-
Then a hushed silence...
Silence was then followed by a the muffled sound of a car driving away...
But where was Damon?
Surely that gunfire wasn't for him...
 
Relic stopped abruptly when the event occurred.
Then silence.

The boy was shocked into complete silence, even his panting seemed to quiet.
Then he was howling loudly, right in the middle of the day.
His friend...
Where was his friend?!

'BRING HIM BACKKKK!!!'
 
Nothing happened...
But then-

An answering howl sounded.
And it wasn't far off!
It sounded again... Closer this time-
Suddenly there was a very loud crinkle of leaves.

And then the sound...the sound of Damon cursing something. He was alive!
 
The second the other howl echoed from ahead Ridel silenced his own.
Was it...?
Could it be...??

He bolted ahead just in time to nearly slam into Damon.
'DAMON!!!'
The pup quickly started to lick at the others' muzzle nonstop, spinning around the front of the big wolf.
Oh yes, it was extremely annoying but he didn't care! The boy was okay!!
 
Well...mostly okay.
Apparently that gun shot was for him...
It just missed its target and hit something else; his ear.

Damon tried to appear as though he was fine, but with the clot of blood on his ear...
And the ringing from the loud gun shot...
It was tricky...but not difficult.
Relic...calm down, you're making my head spin more than it already is...
 
The boy shifted into his human form and wrapped his arms tightly around the other wolf's neck in a hug.
"I'm so glad you're okay!"
He didn't want to lose his friend before he even got to know him!
Relic sniffed a bit...then his eyes widened as they found the injury.
"Your ear!!"
The boy quickly stood so he could reach and grabbed the ear lightly but firmly, licking at it in his human form as a wolf normally would.
 
Damon winced at the lapping of his ear.
It stung because it was rubbing the wound...
But it also made him go still like a dog after it had been calmed after a fright.
In this case, his fright was the gun shot...the hunter...
Relic...I'm fine. You needn't do this sort of thing for an omega...
It was just the way of things, he wanted to say...but that was a lesson his parents were in charge of- not him.
 
Relic let out a low growl in his human form just to show how much he cared about the alpha and omega crap.
His tongue played along the other pup's ear to help clean it, only stopping when the bleeding was sufficiently clotted.
Then he dropped back into his wolf form and nuzzled against the side of Damon's face and mouth.
His eyes were intent and careful, watching for anymore signals of pain from the bigger wolf.
 
There wasn't any other sign of pain from Damon-
His ear was the only thing that had been injured, but it wasn't a terrible loss.
Why, if a hole is there when he turns human, he can just put in an earring...or hide it with an ear cuff.
Either way, that'll be dealt with some other time. Right now...they should head on back to the school- unless they just want to call in sick from bad breakfasts.
 
Relic wasn't really interested in class.
He always skipped anyways...
There was a few voices of teachers near the side of the forest and Relic stiffened.
Teachers.
They were probably coming to stop the 'fight' from getting bad.
His pup form whined and started to trot away towards downtown.
Yeah, Relic was totally skipping again.
