Wolves, Vampires, Shifters... Oh My.

Kyros shrugged to the 'anything else' question.
He wasn't really hungry...
He didn't read much...
And to be honest, he figured he could come up with a game or something.
He was just a simple kid.
Ashke made a 'hmm' face. "...Anyone up for sushi?"

Ridel glanced at Ashke, a tad confused but shrugged.
"Sure, I don't mind sushi."
It was one thing they could eat, uncooked fish.

Looking back at Kyros he grinned and motioned towards the check out register.
"Wanna go try sushi? Ever had it?"

Kyros never had sushi...
"I never tried it...but I've had shrimp before." he said with a sheepish grin.

Ashke smiled. "You'll love sushi-
Especially the California rolls. Spicy but tasty."
Sushi loving vampire is creepy...very creepy...like Kruger!

Yes...very.
"Yes, it is rather good."
Ridel quickly got everything paid for and then ran out to the car to put it away.
A few moments later he was pack and grinned, grabbing his new son's hand along with Ashke's and heading towards the giant food court.
Yeah? Who cares if they saw them, he could do what he wanted.

Anyways.
They stopped over at the sushi placed and ordered a few of everything, then sat down at one of the tables in the back.
"Theres a few different kinds so try each and see which you like more." Ridel told Kyros as he grabbed a california roll and tossed it into his mouth happily.

Ashke was nibbling at a California roll as soon as they sat.
They were his favorite~
Like...next to tuna in a can with mayo and pickle relish.

Kyros was hesitant when it came to trying the sushi...
He started with one type he figure he would like-
Shrimp and rice wrapped in edible seaweed. He dipped it in some soy sauce and took a bite.
"Hm...The seaweed makes it taste a bit off...but with some more soy sauce, it tastes great." he said as he finish off the shrimp sushi.
Next was the California roll... Thank goodness he likes spicy food.

Ridel grinned as Kyros tried the sushi.
He nodded about the soy sauce and dipped his own before plopping it into his mouth.

Awww...Ashke! Your so cute you demonic little psychopath!
"So...how long have you and Relic been friends?"
Yeah, the question was gonna come up at some point and it was nice to ask about his friends in general anyways...

"...Since school started this year..."
Kyros shrugged like it wasn't that important.
"We were both late on the first day...I forgot what he was late for...I was late because I had to walk to school..."

Ashke blinked a few times, like a rat would after washing its face.
"Well...That's just ironic..."

"Ah."

When they finished up all the sushi they headed towards the exit.
"It's good that you have a friend. He can come over whenever you want, or if you want to go over there just let us know.
We can drive you there or..."

'wanna get him a car?'
Ridel...you are SPOILING him soooo bad!
But a car would be handy...him and Relic could cruise around and be epic together.

"You can drive there once we get you a license."
'That answer your question, sweetie?' asked Ashke, glancing over at Ridel.
He smiled at him.

Kyros blinked.
"Ain't I a bit too young for a car?
I mean...it'd be cool...but I'm still too young."

Ashke laughed. "Not in this family."

"Your almost sixteen, which means you can get a permit."
Ridel grinned and kissed Ashke on the cheek.
"Yes, love. It definitely does."
As they all got into the car and headed home they explained some of the basic rules.
"So then... just a few rules in the house...
No playing with fire,
no cursing,
and no sex in the house. Aka, door must stay open."

What? It had to be said.

Kyros still thought he was too young to drive...
And he almost choked on the air he had inhaled for a sigh.
"What kind of rule is the last one?
I'm way to young for intercourse at any rate..."
And couldn't even ask a girl out to save my skin...

Ashke giggled.
"You're still going through puberty, kiddo.
There is no telling when you'll end up getting the urge to sneak into someone's pa-"
Kyros cut him off with a gag.
"Don't even make me think about it."

Ridel smirked and then laughed quietly.
"Oh we won't make you think about it...you'll do that on your own in a few weeks and or months."
Well, it was good to know he had none of 'those' feelings for Alec and Zack's pup.
Pulling into the driveway Ridel parked the car and then hopped out, carrying most of Kyro's bags into the house.
He went back to their spare bedroom which had already been made up with a nice bed, blankets, pillows, two small lion and cheetah stuffed animals, and then a few random nicknacks.
Ridel set the bags on the bed before turning to Kyros.
"Get these things put away where you want them and..."
Fishing into his pocket he pulled out something and tossed it to the boy.
A cell phone.
"You have unlimited minutes on it, and texting. Our numbers are already programed into it in case you need to call us."

You are lucky that he didn't get caught in a awestruck at the room.
What mostly attracted his attention was the lion and cheetah stuff animals.
Morphius the stuffed iguana won't be alone!
Well...when he gets here...if he gets here.
Anyways~
Kyros caught the phone before it could either hit him in the head or drop to the floor.
Now that he stared at.
Ashke went over to Ridel and half-hugged him-
Arm around the back of his waist, to put it bluntly.
"I think he likes the phone...You made a good pick on it." he said with a giggle-
Just before they both got pounced by a happy teared Kyros.

"Hehe, yeah, it was really cool at the st---eep!"
Both guys went crashing to the floor but Ridel managed to wrap one arm around Kyros to prevent any injuries.
He ended up leaning against the bottom of the bed, grinning up at the boy.
"I take it you really like it, heheh. I'm glad."
Reaching over with his other arm he gave the boy a tight hug before lifting him to his feet and setting him back down on them.
"Oh, there was one more thing we needed to tell you.
Ashke and I are both vampires but we usually eat just bagged blood, so if you open the fridge it's in little pull out bins. Just don't be freaked out by it please, haha."

I think Kyros is more of a pet puppy than a shifter son...
Just saying.
Ashke got up after Ridel did, giggling a bit.
That was...random and for a moment, quite surprising.
Back to Kyros!
Kyros blinked a few times.
"...State the obvious, eh? I noticed that when I was the beagle...
You two smelled a little bit...stronger, than Relic's uncles."
He smiled sheepishly. "Not to be offensive that is."

Ridel laughed and patted the boy on the shoulder.
"Of course we're stronger."
Yeah, he totally turned that around.
"Oh yeah. There was a package out front you might want to check?
I think it's from the orphanage."
He didn't know what he wanted to keep from there but figured he'd let the boy decide.

Kyros perked up.
Morphius the iguana is here!
"Oh, yeah. I'll go check it..." he said a wee bit sheepishly.
To the package out front!
Ashke looked at Ridel.
"Ridel...did you notice the ironic similarities? The eyes...the hair...even skin tone... To be honest, the boy looks like a combined version...of us."

"Heh. Your right love. He definitely does."
As Kyros went outside Ridel wrapped his arms around Ashke's waist and pulled him in for a kiss.
"Mmm, I think he wanted something in that box. He bolted rather quickly for the door, hehe."

Relic was busy pacing in his room, growling as he spun in circles.
Unhappy puppy was VERY unhappy, still.

Ashke smiled.
He was after a stuffed iguana who he calls Morphius...
Someone had been snooping in Kyros's head...And was also keeping his mouth a little busy on another...

Zack watched Relic pace from the door way.
"...How long are you going to pace like that...? It's been ten minutes already..."

Relic rolled over as soon as his dad spoke, squirming on his back as he raised his paws over his nose and whined.
Such a baby.
Well, he was afraid Ashke and Ridel had only adopted his best friend to kill him.

Ridel heard a loud 'whoo!' from the doorway and grinned.
"I guess he found Morphius" the vampire whispered before claiming Ashke's lips again.
Hmm...they couldn't just have 'fun' around the house anymore now that they had a kid...
Darn.
Oh well.
They did have plenty of rooms with locked doors.
