There was nothing around, for the pups to be gathered in the giant sequoia tree's along with the elder wolves was mysterious.. They usually felt it safe enough to be out playing. She knew they feared her but it was not enough to be so rash and isolate her... There were faces around that were unfamiliar, even the adults. It seemed as she was gone for some time they had employed new wolves... So, maybe they were hiding from he-...
"They're not here..." She heard a male voice say. Her head turned its way around to glance over to the echoing hoarse tone appearing from one of the tree hollows.
".. Then where are they." Her reply was cold, and demanding. Although feminine, and melodic. If she would sing, it would not stop another from sleeping.
"Evelina? That's who you are right?.." Eyes narrowing and head lifting now intrigued. She began stepping forward, the sheathed barbed whip wrapped around her like a harnace chinked as her body rocked with the levels of the snow. Her feet padded against the icy surface as a faint yellow tint came from the tree. Lowering her head in an intimidating way, it wasn't seconds before the male came out and confronted her. "Stop." He said a little worried, holding up a paw and lowering himself to the ground to avoid conflict.
"Well?" Her voice grew irritated almost and started to lean over him. A series of snarls began to erupt from her chest. Subtle to her however to everybody else, even at this volume, had a rumble in the earth which vibrations could be compared to earthquakes.
The male yelped and he began to speak. "They're off, hunting.."
That's all he knew? Her head lifted back from him and ears came upright from their threatened appearance. She nodded him back into his den, and turned around to the now completely hidden wolves with a grunt of disbelief. "Cowards." Her bark was loud and echoed out, noticing when she made the sounds she could hear in the farther distance the footsteps of another. His scent unfamiliar to her, but familiar to her territory.. Another new comer? She thought to herself. In her day, they were born into the pack.. not just waltzing their way in. Some elitists. Beginning to make her way over towards the male further from the camp, playing with the cat her paws crushed snow beneath her feet in reply to her walk. Making noise didn't seem to be an issue when they were this far out. Besides, they were still in Blood Scared territory. Her head lifted when she saw the wolf and the cat adorning each others company and tilted her head aside in confusion.
Then that sound, the blood curdling cries of one of her own.. No words through them, just grief.. upset. "Tsumetai" she whispered..
It wasn't a second before her feet were now recklessly bounding towards the edge of the boarders, within seconds she was there. Her years of training had paid off, if she wasn't so fond of separating herself from the pack she would've taken up the one of the many offers of alpha long ago. However, this was her field, she couldn't be a leader no more than she could be a supreme fighter. Her years of training had toned her senses, her strength, her speed. This is why she was who she was, and her name had coursed its way so far over the earth. Times like this she knew her purpose - to kill. Tsumetai was in trouble, and no doubt the alphas were around too. The thudding of her paws stopped after she had hit the boarder, now in full stealth mode she didn't even need to creep slowly and crawl to not be heard. She was moving at an even faster pace now with unheard steps. Instantly on a track of their scents.. Then she smelt it.. Gaia. She had come across this monster many times in her travels, only to have been quite clever in avoiding her grasp. She knew that if she affected the waves of nature for Gaia - trouble would come down on her head. She was violent, brash, and often can't hold her temper.. However, she was certainly not stupid enough to confront Gaia in such a way. Whatever situation they were in, fighting was not an option.. That would have to come later.
She caught glimpse of them on the horizon and her pace instantly had picked up. The black fur being pushed down into her skin from the force of momentum against her body due to her impeccable speed. Her growl ripped through the trees instantly and she tried to get as much sight of Gaia and the situation as she could before her body came coursing underneath the two injured wolves. Sang and Tsume were on her back within mili seconds. She had bound out of there before Gaia managed to get anywhere close to her. Outrunning them her ear turned back to sense if they were following.. She couldn't quite catch on anything, too fast. She made it to the boarders instantly and having pushed so hard the adrenalin had covered up the fact that Evelina had actually really pushed at her limit in order to achieve such a speed... Even after years of training - a wolf has its limit.. Her pace slowed when she knew they were safe inside the boarders of the Blood Scared.. Her head turned back to them as she steadied to a walking pace.. ".. I come back, and not five minutes am I having to engage in conflict..." She says to them, walking up to the camp and dropping them gently against the ground by the fire.. The other wolves came and circled around and she turned on her heels to the loot she had brought back...
Her body stretched up with a shadow light succumbing her body as she transformed into a standing being.. grasping her wragged clothing from the satchels at hand she placed it on and took the medicine satchel she had over to the female wolves. Leaning down she applied the unfamiliar ointment to them onto their wounds.. "This might sting, but trrust me when I say this is the most incredible remedy I've come across...." She blinked and turned her head back whilst applying it thinking of what she just witnessed... No matter now, they were safe.. However it didn't take her long to figure out that Gaia had gotten to Dakota
"Being his mate, you'll have to forgive Dakota... He's not in his right frame of mind.. That monster - back there, that's Gaia.. She's.. well rest and I'll explain all in the morning.." She stood up and walked away from the wolves in her human form glancing off down the mountain to the tree's which stretch along their boarders, with a sigh.
