'Cause they were moving to America and they wanted him to fit in better xD

As a native Swede, I can assure you that having a Swedish name while speaking English is a pain in the neck.

"What was your name, again?"

Not that I have the most Swedish name there is. It's not "Göran-Bertil", dear god that would be impossible to do in English.

Also: Väldigt jobbigt, indeed.

Just needs some practice! The G is pronounced as a Y in Göran...now...figure out the rest!

Yeah, the G's not the problem. It's the Å Ä Ö- of it all.

I feel like Jackson Five would've been a hit in Swedish "It's as easy as ÅÄÖ"

Ä is pronounced like the A in the word Anvil

Å is pronounced like the french word "Au"

Ö is...uuh...Yeah, that..."Uuh.." Close 'nuf!

@Shard and @Goldmarble both sheets are accepted as previously discussed via PM and Skype respectively.

@HellHoundWoof Your sheet is going to need work. Firstly, it's painfully obvious that the sheet was originally themed around another power. Notably due to the mention of the guitar playing, the Cobain faceclaim, the incorrect classification and the barely there description of Ronnie's abilities. (Note the other person with Sound Manipulation is me, your GM lol). The sheet's coding is screwed up at the moment, and if you're planning on using teleportation I'm going to need to see a lot more limitations and weaknesses. That's a very easy power to exploit so I need to see how you're going to keep it in check. Also in the backstory he essentially learned how to use his abilities in moments, I'm going to need you to fix that. Be careful with your writing, the lack of spacing coupled with the gramatical errors and spelling mistakes in your backstory and sample turn it into an undesirable wall of text.

In the meantime, I'll go back to working on my own IC post haha.

So now we have two of the absolute rarest classifications, namely SATURNs (even though one is still incorrectly classified)?
And both can do almost the same thing except one is limited to items and summoning them temporarily, while the other can send people and objects anywhere without a clear maximum breaking point, a fancy name for teleportation, and only has a limitation of needing to see the object/person and know where it's supposed to go.
I know the character isn't accepted yet, but mind if I feel a little on the fence about it as it feels like a cheep ripoff?

| HYPERHUMAN CLASSIFICATION (H-CLASS): |
  • Hyperhumans designated under the 'ATLAS' classifier are those that have abilities that enhance their physical strength and durability. They are often super-strong, invulnerable, or both, but others have heightened reflexes or quickened metabolisms to allow for advanced healing rates - there are even rumours of 'immortal' Atlas-types, Hypes who simply wake up a short time after death. Note that ATLAS-types do not include those whose physical enhancements allow them great speed and no strength or durability; these Hyperhumans are designated under the 'MERCURY' classifer.
  • Hyperhumans designated under the 'CUPID' classifer are those that have abilities that allow them to influence, produce, or otherwise manipulate emotions in both themselves and others. Often, CUPID-types achieve this through the use of pheromone production, manipulating the hormone levels in the body to stimulate feelings of anger, lust, joy, etc. Most CUPID-types are skilled in manipulating one or two explicit emotions while unable to influence others, but there are stories of CUPID-types with a control over emotions so proficient that it borders on mind control.
  • Hyperhumans designated under the 'FORTUNA' classifier are those that have abilities that influence synchronicity; in laymans terms, FORTUNA-types tend to be able to subtly push reality one way or another, affecting things, people, or events in a manner many would liken to luck, good or bad. Whether they cause a simple equipment malfunction, quietly set-up an improbable fortune, or set into motion a wide-spanning chain of events, FORTUNA-types that master their abilities often find themselves living extremely easy lives.
  • Hyperhumans designated under the 'JUNO' classifer are those that can directly tap into the base genetic code of life and alter biological matter as far as their mastery allows. Most JUNO-types are either healers, able to stimulate the body and knit wounds together, or influence their own bodily form to a small degree - but a true, powerful JUNO-type would be able to split skin, incubate horrible plagues, or have complete control over bone and muscle.
  • Hyperhumans designated under the 'MARS' classifer are perhaps the most diverse. While all MARS-types are energy manipulators, their abilities vary wildly from Hype to Hype - simply because of the sheer amount of energy forms there are in the universe. Some MARS-types can bend light, making themselves invisible to the naked eye, while others have access to electromagnetic or radioactive energy. While some MARS-types are paltry in terms of power, it is widely regarded that they have the most sheer potential.
  • Hyperhumans designated under the 'MERCURY' classifer are those that possess extra-normal means of travel from wherever they are to wherever they want to be. The more common MERCURY-types have forms of superspeed or flight, often able to move at speeds unmatched by even the fastest forms of vehicular transport. In addition to unrivaled speed, many Mercury types are able to pass through solid objects so as to remain unhindered by obstacles in their path. Lastly, most if not all Mercury types have a degree of control over friction allowing whether to reduce it to accelerate or increase it when slowing down. The power level of a MERCURY-type is often gauged by their ingenuity - or by the number they can transport.
  • Hyperhumans designated under the 'MINERVA' classifer are often the easiest to label - their abilities deal explicitly with the mind, MINERVA-types being pure psychics. While some read minds, others implant suggestions or project thoughts, and the stronger MINVERA-types can move matter with their thoughts, or simply assume direct control of another person's mind and actions.
  • Hyperhumans designated under the 'NEPTUNE' classifer are, in their ways, similar to MARS-types. However, NEPTUNE-types do not possess the sheer scope of a MARS-type - instead, their abilities usually focus on one of the four primal elements (Fire, Water, Air, and Earth), or the secondary offshoots (Ice, Lightning, Nature, etc.). Most NEPTUNE-types weave fire or bring forth boulders, while others manipulate the weather or coax life from the smallest withered seed. NEPTUNE-types with absolute mastery often wield all four elements like they were limbs, and bring the wrath of the most basic components of the universe down upon their enemies.
  • Hyperhumans designated under the 'ORCUS' classifer are, quite often, the most paranoia-inducing of Hypes. Most are chameleons, able to change their face and become whomever they desire - but others can change more monstrously, taking on bestial aspects, or alien ones. Whatever an ORCUS-type is capable of doing, it is usually safe to refuse what they initially present themselves as.
  • Hyperhumans designated under the 'SATURN' classifer are, by default, the most powerful, most feared, and most scarce. Their abilities are not as specific as other Hypes, nor are they as wonderful or flashy. Instead, SATURN-types manipulate the very fabric of the cosmos, dipping their hands into the Space/Time Continuum, and molding it to a shape they see favourable. Some SATURN-types bend time, speeding, slowing, and stopping it to their desire, while others simply create matter from thin air, or remove displeasing matter from existence. More commonly, SATURN-types take the form of teleporters, capable of folding space together to travel instantly from one location to another, others creating rips in space to bridge two locations using portals. SATURN-types are few and far between, but given their reputation, most see this as a blessing.
  • Hyperhumans designated under the 'VULCAN' classifer are often thought to be a mash of many other Hype classification, but all of them are creators, far more than simple artists or sculptors. They compress matter or manipulate energy to form ethereal shapes and objects that they then manipulate either bodily or mentally, throwing up ghostly walls as solid as the thickest steel, or forming fists that hit almost as hard as an ATLAS-type could. Most VULCAN-types are limited only by the scope of their own imagination, and the strongest create what they believe the world is missing.

What are the classifications? I can't seem to find them.
How about check the first post that has all the details on all the important stuff about Magni, Hypes, Techs, and Celestials...?

This by definition is a ropleplay that requires its players to read things over a time and again. Large texts require patience, patience makes a good roleplayer. And lazy readers tend to be lazy roleplayers. It's real easy to find, right under STATS. It takes some scrolling, but not that much.

Real mature, stating 'let's not continue on about this', and then half an hour later go and smite people. Very mature indeed.

I did no such thing, go back to your messages and see, it was not me. I haven't smited anyone. It is plain foul to accuse people of things they did not do.

I had an idea for a Saturn, but I may leave it alone now. I really wanted to so this later, but because it is 'the rarest' kind, I may leave this on the backburner. Ah well. I still need a few more posts anyway.

  • | NAME: |
    Oliver Trenton Harley

    | ALIAS(ES): |
Throwback, X-3, Sidestep, Reload, Trent, Ollie, Ver

    | PLACE OF BIRTH: |
    Los Paraiso, Cresent City, California

    | SPECIES: |
    Homo Virium

    | D.O.B.: |
    12/4/1999

    | AGE: |
    16

    | SEX: |
    Male

    | SEXUALITY: |
    Very Straight

    | APPEARANCE: |
Oliver loosely resembles Kurt Cobain in the fact that he has long stringy hair that shines yellow like the sun, reaching down to his chin. He has a trim build with fairly developed musculature for someone his age. His eyes are brown with an astonishing depth to them, like you can watch an entire lifetime by peering inside. He has a limited amount of prickly facial hair, kept back by constant shaving. Despite having decent musculature, he is more noticably lean than bulky, built more like a climber than a weight-lifter.

    | CLASSIFICATION: |
    H-Class: Saturn
  • | ABILITIES: |
Oliver can manipulate the Space-Time Continuum, particularly his place in the three dimensions along the fourth. Despite not having a full understanding of his actual ability, he has managed to get a basic feel for some of its uses. He is fully capable of one day changing others place in relation to space and time, just as his own. His abilities are mostly reflected in travel through space, rather than time, though.

    | SKILLS: |
Fighting: He's roughly been fighting his peers since the fifth grade. But, his style isn't based in martial arts, it's based on hitting as hard as he can with whatever he can. He generally tries to keep back from killing people, but there is actually a risk of fatality when it comes to going against him. His movements are unrefined, but still vicious and opportunistic. If he were to learn some martial arts, he would put them to use, but he's not overtly concerned about it.

Parkour: He has developed the ability to climb certain stone walls, depending on the way the bricks are dispersed, and is more than likely able to use any hand or footholds to his advantage. He can jump higher and further than average as well as do a running flip off walls, amongst other feats.

Twirling: To be close to a girl he had a crush on, he joined the cheerleaders in Middle School. As a result, he has a developed skill in twirling batons, flags, and, by extension, a staff. Also worth noting, he is capable of being in a triple axle pyramid.

    | LIMITATIONS: |
He cannot perform 'time-travel' at all, not in the traditional sense, though he can distort time's flow and, not at this moment, even teleport. Certain aspects of different uses of his abilities affect him in different ways. For example, movement based uses, such as teleporting, require focus and drain him mentally. Overexertion when returning to a position he previously held may force him to involuntarily collapse and be rendered unconscious for a time proportional to how far he has surpassed his limits. Slowing other people down is muscularly draining, as is displacing any version of himself in time. Ironically, as moving forward in time is as close to normal as his powers get, accelerating himself or exterior objects hardly fazes him.

    | WEAKNESSES: |
If someone were to attack and wound the earliest of a displaced form, any future versions would also suffer the attack's affects, if not die. Any time a future version dies alongside them, the earlier versions feel a sharp headache come on and their senses and focus are clouded. Also, being under the influence of any medication or special substances could potentially destroy his use of his abilities, possibly setting him back in his overall proficiency. Though this is not really exploitable, he expects a short life for himself, as he is likely to reach old age slightly faster tham most people.

    | APPLICATIONS: |
    Known Applications:

Instant Replay: He can correctively reverse his position to perform a failed maneuver. For example, if he were to jump over the space between two buildings, but accidentally fell in the gap between, he could overcome gravity and all other laws of physics to retry until he gets it right, though this can be hampered by changes in the landscape that obstruct his path. Alternatively, he could use this ability to do something right more than once.

ASAP: He has the ability to accelerate himself and all his actions, by occupying his future spaces at a faster pace. This would result in quicker movement, but because his body is not actually at an altered speed, he carries an equal amount of force to moving normally.

Turtle Power!: He can create a field of decelerated time around him, by lessening the speed of which a certain space goes through time, not including himself. For example, if someone were about to stab him, he could slow their movement to a crawl, disarm them, and counterattack while external viewers would only see his assailant behaving differently. He can alternatively perform this on himself, causing him to process information more efficiently and gather greater amounts of detail.
    Undiscovered Applications:
Save Point: He can teleport to a position in space his body had occupied in a previous time. This is instantaneous and can be very surprising, or possibly dangerous. When he arrives he will physically be in the exact position of the moment he has chosen, if anything is in the way, he will be impaled.

Respawn: He can replace his body with a previous form. This would mostly be for the sake of 'healing'. For example, if he were stabbed, he could superimpose a version of his body from before the stabbing in place of his wounded self.

Double Time: He can double or otherwise multiply his density by placing multiple 'time displaced' versions of himself in one location for a moment. This would allow for greater force to be behind any movement or make him heavier. A different spin on this move is that he can make multiple time displaced forms of himself blaze his trail in space (this would be like clones doing the exact same thing one after another in a single file line) before disappearing. They never seem to be missing because they are sent back to the exact moment after they left. Summoning doubles is a one-way trip, he cannot initiate his a current displacement along the time stream. Another basic use of this is that he can summon an item he'd previously held from a previous time.

Deja Vu: If he knows where someone is coming from or where they previously had been, he can displace them there just as he could himself, or force them to do an 'Instant Replay' just like him. With great effort and mastery, he has the potential to actually send another person back in time.

Kairobolts: The ability to project ultra-dense fields of distorted time that weaken an object in space by transforming the point of impact into its weakest form in all of time. This, while in itself is not actually 'destructive', creates the perfect opening for an attack and renders it vulnerable. Depending on the measure of power invested in the blast, a recovery can be made in which it would return to its natural present state moments later.

Chronos Unleashed: He has the potential to create fields of temporal distortion without making contact with them himself. This would allow him to speed another human being up, slow a bullet, seemingly 'freeze' someone by pausing their course through space but not time, or even make someone's life pass them by.
  • | WEAPONS: |
Batons: A pair of navy blue shaded aluminum rods with the Bayside logo emblazened on the sides. The Bayside logo had originally been that of his middle school, as a remnant of his days as a cheerleader, before being replaced to show his progress.

Brass Knuckles: A pair of studded brass knuckles. He carries them on his person almost at all times. The only exception is when he anticipates being searched or going through a metal detector. They are nothing special at all, but are the only regular piece of his arsenal. Otherwise, his weaponry is purely circumstantial or improvised.

Staff: A long bamboo staff he picked up from a thrift shop. He rarely uses it, because it is somewhat difficult to conceal, but he has been considering sawing it to be a more manageable length.

    | TOOLS: |
iPhone: Just like every four year old in America, he has the latest iPhone. Using it, he keeps notes on his activities, keeping a journal under pass code lock, and documenting his outings with password protected recordings and photographs.

    | ATTIRE: |
Normally, he wears neutrally colored t-shirts and dark hooded jackets. He wears black or blue jeans, usually with cargo pockets. He typically wears an ebony pair of running shoes, popular with freerunners and traceurs, that conform to the shape of the foot and allow each toe to move separately.

Every member of X-Cite fits under the category 'Hooded Vigilante'. Accordingly, Oliver usually puts on a carbon-colored hooded jacket, matching dark jeans, and one of several masks he'd purchased from a costume shop. The details of this largely vary and are frequently improvised.

In order to keep his 'teammates' from recognizing his style and realizing he has another secret ID, he decided to go with a costume that is flashy and eye-catching. As 'Throwback', he wears a costume that calls Super Mario to mind, because that is exactly what it's meant to do. He wears a pair of blue suspenders, a red T-shirt, white gloves, an oversized red cap that straps under his chin, and a giant brown mustache over his face.
  • | BACKSTORY: |
Born out of wedlock, Oliver was conceived on accident, as the result of teenage drunkenness. His mother was seventeen years old, beach-bound, promiscuous, and overall reckless with her life. Her name was Olivia Casper. His father was Jackson Harley, a penniless party-animal from the Narrows of Kilbride. Upon discovering she was pregnant, Olivia wanted an abortion, but her mother wouldn't allow it. It was agreed that Olivia's mother would help her to care for the infant, but that agreement was broken after she died while giving birth. So Jackson took up the care of their son, all on his own.

Jackson turned his life around to care for his son. Overcoming a heroin addiction, cutting any ties he had to the cities low-lives, and finding a part time job. Fortunately for Oliver, his father was wed to a woman named Elisa Feist. The two cared for the boy until Elisa was also pregnant. Because the two of them could not afford to support both children, she left Jackson to find a better-off spouse. This forced Jackson to pay child support for his son by Elisa, support Oliver in full, and hold down a part-time job.

By the time Oliver was five years old, Jackson was almost never home. The result was that Oliver found comfort in television, eating, and whatever he could do to escape his life. His father never tried to start another relationship, but when he'd arrive home after work every day, he'd spend as much time with Oliver as possible. But they grew apart a bit as the constant possibility of going homeless or having the utilities shut off kept Jackson slaving to care for his sons. Despite all this, Jackson almost never gets to see his daughter, Erica.

Once, when he was running through his middle school hallways, he tripped and started to fall from the peak of the flight, but with fear and regret he found himself falling in reverse, actually recovering from the minor mess-up and saved himself. No one else saw this, as the halls were quite full and he'd only stumbled a little, but he was confused. So he began to experiment to see if he could do it again. He could not, he fell from the top of the staircase and broke a leg. For this reason, once he'd recovered, he began to practice parkour as a means of avoiding accidents in every day life. It was later on, when he made regrettable decisions free-running, that he learned to tap into his ability to do an instant replay of his actions and actually succeeded. He refined his physical movements even further, mostly as a side-effect, by joining the cheerleading team to be close to a girl he liked.

When he got into High School, he joined a group of free-running teens from his area. As a group, they trained each other to overcome any obstacle artistically and effectively. When one of the group's members was bullied, several of his friends, including Oliver, ambushed the assailants and avenged their friend, dramatically dropping down from above on overhangs and rooftops and from street lights. Before long, they realized that they could actually have a shot at vigilantism, along with other stupid teenage antics. Taking charge, the eldest of the group dubbed the team X-Cite, and since then they have come into conflict with the Welcoming Crew more often than anyone else. Oliver was the only one with any superpowers, which he has actually kept hidden from the group.

Before long, Oliver struck out on his own, while not leaving the club. He's gone through a number of costumes, from sparkly to shadowy, and codenames, initially going with Sidestep, before swapping to Reload, and a handful of others until he finally came to use the name Throwback. As a sophomore at Bayside High School, he now deals with the pressures of teenage angst, maintaining multiple secret identities, and feeling somewhat awkwardly connected to his family.

  • | SAMPLE POST: |

    | HOME PLANET: |
    Earth/Terra/Gaia

  • Family
Jackson Harley - Oliver's hardworking father is hardly ever home. He's constantly stressed out and always strapped for cash. He regrets a lot of his life decisions, but still takes pride in his son. At times, he's slipped into alcoholism before making quick recoveries, and he has already overcame a drug addiction and never looked back.

Elisa Feist-Keiser - Oliver's stepmother who he rarely sees. Despite feeling abandoned, Oliver tries not to hold any hard feelings against her. She mostly looks at Oliver with pity. At the same time, she has no need for Jackson's money because she married a much wealthier man.

Erica Feist - Oliver's half-sister sees him twice a month on Saturdays. The two enjoy each other's company, and largely resemble one another, but not in a way that makes her seem masculine. But Erica is under greater stress because she doesn't have an outlet to vent like Oliver does.

    X-Cite
Cain Cathaway (X-1) - Cain is the leader of the team. Rough and tumble, he sees victory and runs for it. With a no man left behind mentality, he is charismatic and generally thinks ahead, though he is often hampered by a lack of compliance from his team. Unfortunately, he is also a control freak.

Katy Cooper (X-2) - Katy is a tomboy, though she is entirely straight, she is tough as nails and surprisingly ferocious. She almost never looks before she leaps, and often has to pay the price for it. But, she has faster reflexes than a cat pumped up on epinephrine.

Francis Culpepper (X-4) - Francis is a joker, big time. He just can't help himself but to talk. He moves like a monkey, constantly pouncing and chattering. He is definitely the most mobile, standing out as a talent, even among the group.

I never smited you. Neither have I removed my smite as there was none. Tempted I was, but I do not kick after matters were considered settled. If you indeed intend to not continue, then let this message be the last.

As for towards you Nightrunner, well it obviously isn't my call whether or not multiple Saturns exist, so don't mind my previous words if you have a good character that Lord Wraith approves of. :)
