Personality:
Preisig is a relatively mannerly and stern person of interest. She is focused and lends an ear where needed, never shying away from problems that arises. The Head of the Cartel is usually well-spoken and unrelenting in her ways, engaging others in a calm, and determined demeanor - disguising her intentions beneath her tranquil aura. The making of a bona fide politician. While cold, and often times nonchalant to a certain extent, Preisig keeps her associates and enemies close.

Preisig tries to keep her distance with most people, wary of getting too close as she did before. However, behind her pragmatic plans and undiscerning confidence, there resides a certain reservation of unvoiced sentiments. While disciplinary when it comes to dire situations, Preisig is generally well-respected for her infamous reputation as an effective hitman and a competent leader. A woman of secrets, La Reina's own demons are her greatest motivators.

Backstory:
An enigmatic hitman from the east with no credentials aside from her infamy as the Spectre of Sieburg, Preisig was given her name by her preceding boss and head of the Cartel - Luna Ylaris. Her southwestern dialect, however, pin-pointed her as an Armadyne, rather than a Sieburger native. Having arrived in Aaken City while on the run, Preisig was fished out of the Harbor by Ylaris. Bound by honor, the assassin sworn an oath and resided by Ylaris all the way until the latter's death. Based on various accounts, Preisig possessed distinct fighting skills akin to Ritters, Venelian Accord special forces operators. Others saw some variations of specialized Starline Mage forms. All in all, Preisig's past and experiences were known only to herself, making her a mysterious prize by her boss.

Preisig story, however, truly began when she encountered Marzec - the Champion of Aaken. While it was unclear why Preisig chose to support Marzec when the man first arrived in Aaken, her fateful decision quickly propelled the Cartel's power beyond their original territories, while earning her a place among the Seven Families following the recognition of the Pact of Honor. When Preisig's gamble finally paid off, as many saw it, her authority became absolute for almost a decade. During that time, Preisig reformed the Cartel's combat operation, strengthened various overseas ties, reestablished several supply routes throughout the Venelian Dominion and became Marzec's reliable logistic company. As these changes were brought forth, the Cartel began to divert their manpower into production and smuggling efforts. With the death of Marzec however, Preisig, and perhaps all of Aaken, is anticipatory of a looming crisis. Whether it be internal or external, the Cartel's current disposition is vulnerable. As Preisig studies the other families' responses, the Cartel braces themselves for an incoming storm.

As an ex-Ritter, Preisig possesses a modicum of competency on aetherium manipulation - specializing in the materialization of aetherial weapons. While this is the case, she does not possess all the powers of a true Arsenal Ritter, nor is she subjected to all the limitations and weaknesses thereof. Having been the subject of a failed military experiment, she possesses the enhanced strength and mobility of a Ritter, at the cost of higher corruption due to her rare compatibility condition.

[Dragonheart Fall Issue #19] - The latest, most-sought after apparel by fashionistas and Aakenite influencers. Dragonheart emphasizes an ample amount of curvature and allure, while maintaining an ergonomic and facile impression. Complemented by Preisig's wyvern horns, the outfit is sure to yank the heart of unsuspecting passerby.

Abilities:
Telekinesis - The ability to manipulate matter around him. A common use is moving individuals and objects. Living beings are much more difficult, those with access to the Aether give him a degree of issue unless they are substantially weaker than him or in at least a distracted or weakened state. While his range is unknown exactly it is definitely confined and limited. He has also been seen to stop projectiles or block them with "force barriers" of sorts. These barriers have also been seen being held around his fists when he engages directly within physical combat, those who have survived a strike explain that it is similar to being struck by a man multiple times his size with brass knuckles.

Appearance: Pale and lanky, Nick is freshly greying fellow who walks with a certain swagger in his step and a a seemingly unwavering smile on his face, though this smile often comes across as smug or sometimes even sadistic to some. He has a fair few scars on his face, with salt and pepper hair, and a beard just barely beyond being called stubble. Most notably are his intense eyes, seemingly pure white in his irises, and often seemingly glowing like some nocturnal animal.​

Personality:
There's quite a bit of conflicting natures when one looks at the combined nature of both Father Nick and Old Mephistopheles that make up Nikolas Scratch. Hell, even each individual persona seems to have varying degrees of inconsistency. Father Nick can often be described as a smug smart-ass with a kind heart, who can be as apathetic and stern to some, yet warm and caring to others. Old Mephistopheles, meanwhile, can often seem downright gleefully sadistic, and as scheming and shady as anyone can get, but a truer friend than many. Nikolas Scratch himself is all these things, and simultaneously none of it. He is someone who will do whatever he pleases to those he believes deserve it, but he will always make himself seem as little more than someone in the background, easily lost, possibly forgotten, if he so chooses. 'To feed the needy and shank the greedy', as he says. But he is always consistent in his somewhat hedonistic nature, as someone who greatly enjoys festivities and the simple desires humans have.

As Father Nick, Scratch rather enjoys his long frock coat with his black, priestly attire, comprised of simply black formal wear and his white clerical collar. As Old Mephistopheles, he simply does away with his clerical collar, and dons a more ragged priest's attire, along with a black, wide-brimmed hat, black leather gloves and boots, and a red and black smiling mask styled after the likeness of devil-figures [somewhat similar in appearance to a Guy Fawkes mask].​

II. DOSSIER


Personality:
Thomas is a hopeless nerd, he loves talking tech, mechanics, and anything related to his craft. People who don't know much about the craft who have made comments on things they didn't know got a long lecture from Thomas. However as a bonus he also goes into details on the pros and cons of every upgrade and item brought to him allowing users to make the best choices to keep themselves alive. He is known for his eccentricity of carrying spare parts within his suit's countless pockets, and there are rumors that he has them in his pants too for emergencies (it's true but he's not telling anyone).

However aside from talking people's ears off about gear, his hand's are never idle no matter what he's doing, he's used to being in motion and staying in motion, the only exception is when he sleeps. Outside of work he is a friendly person who minds his own business who is always calm and composed... except when dealing with attractive females. While he's never gone to a brothel, and never will (unless required by work), he's quite flustered by them due to being out of practice socializing with people outside of work, which is mostly men, and when women do come in he's more focused on the items than them.

Backstory:
Thomas was born to a single mother in the city slums Thomas grew up trying to help himself and his mother survive, as such he became a street urchin quicker than most and started collecting pieces of junk and pick pocketing things to make into items to sell as he haggled with people to try and get as much as possible to help his mother and himself. His talent in the field helped him quickly improve to the point he was able to make little machines that actually did things like music boxes and clockwork figures. However one day he managed to steal a piece of grozium and began experimenting with it. After a year of testing he was able to figure out how to make various different items with it.

He was already a thief and on the bad side of the law, being in a cartel as a craftsman seemed much safer than becoming a corpse on the street due to another plague. He soon went to sell the item and approached Ylaris, the previous La Reina of the company to sell the item, and after much haggling over the price he asked if she would take him in as a crafter. She refused at first, but Thomas was persistent and she eventually obliged. After receiving his first paycheck he immediately spent it all on food, getting a new home, and moving in. He managed to earn enough for his mother to stop having to work herself to death.

In present day, he has earned a small fortune with his crafting expertise, his mother has remarried and started a new family, and he spends much of his time in his personal workshop, equipped with one the best security forces in the city for a building of it's size, considering it's of his own making. He often has members of the cartel in and out requesting new gear, upgrades, fine tuning, and on occasion other items for personal use. Thomas is a craftsman first and foremost, he spends much of his time in the workshop testing new ideas, improving old ones, and making items that were ordered. Part of the territory of being a craftsman, he is a skilled businessman able to haggle prices, get deals, and think ahead in terms of sales strategy.​

III. SMR & EQUIPMENT


Abilities:
Magic Circuit Creation: This ability gives Thomas a competitive edge with his creations as he is naturally able to create magic circuits in which he can imbue spells into the object. Anything more complicated than a manual activation requires more time to make as he has to "code" in a "script" for it to follow. Anything he makes that isn't activated by using someone's mana requires a grozium crystal to run which functions as a battery.

Personal Effects:
Thomas has a particular affinity for the fashion of the great era, he is always wearing a vest, buttoned up and collared shirt, and a tie regardless of what he's doing, and for formal events he puts on his top hat and outer coat. No matter where he is he always has a large number of gadgets on him, most notably is his gun which has different spells imbued into it which he can swap with a button press. His top hat has a mechanical spider within which he is able to use for recon. He never leaves home without a few grenades, grappling hooks, spare parts for repairs, extra grozium crystals, his personal guard construct, and a multitude of other items.​
