He had just about dozed off once more when someone knocked on his door. Gabriel swore but he refused to move. It was probably the druggie neighbor catching sight of him and hoping to borrow some cash again. Well, no chance in hell of that. Gabriel would have liked to turn over and go back to sleep but he was feeling a little jumpy now. Damn neighbor, always interrupting his rest.

Gabriel got up, moving towards the small room that functioned as a bedroom. He might as well get some sleep on a proper bed or maybe take a shower first. He definitely reeked from the fight earlier on.

No answer. Ugh. Screw this... He glared at the door for a good couple of secconds, before aiming a heavy kick at the door. He keeled over, clutching at his stomach. Bad idea. Very bad idea. That hurt like hell!

He let out a low groan, closing his eyes a little. "Okay... Okay .. There we go..." He whispered to himself under his breath, straightnening back up.

Gabriel took what was probably the quickest shower he ever had. It was for two reasons. One, his damn bandage couldn't afford getting wet and two, he could hear someone trying to bang down his front door. What the flying fuck? Gabriel swore as he yanked on a pair of boxers before striding to the front door, his towel settling round his neck.

He flipped the locks before yanking the door open. "What the hell?" Gabriel stopped. It was the freaking vampire. Instincts took over as Gabriel slammed the door close, yanking his coat off the rack as he retreated further into his apartment. Awesome, he was practically naked and weaponless with a stalker vampire outside his front door.

He opened his mouth to say something as the door was thrown open, quickly closing it again as the wooden slab was slammed shut in his face. "How rude." He muttured, opening the door. Luckily, the hunter was distracted, so hadn't locked the door~

"C'mere, dinner!" He growled, walking in towards the male, kicking the door closed behind him, flicking all the locks closed, just incase. He held a hand over his stomach as he walked, holding back a pained whine. He was really begining to struggle... But he couldn't show weakness. Not now.

Seriously, what karmic forces were at work? And if they were, who had Gabriel pissed off that he would have a bloody persistent vampire after him? To think he had let the damn bloodsucker go, only for the said bloodsucker to follow him back home.

The few minutes had bought him time, giving him a chance to roll on his grimy coat. Sure it wasn't the cleanest option but Gabriel wasn't about to fight a vampire in just his underwear. He yanked the stake out of his coat, not bothering to disguise it.

"Why the hell are you following me?" Gabriel demanded.

"Because. I'm hungry, and it's your fucking fault. Also, you did THIS to me!" He snarled, gesturing towards his bloody shirt tied around his middle. He eyes the stake warily, moving slowly from foot to foot.

"That's why." He growled in conclusion, glaring at the male. He waS here to feed and that was it, no chit chat. So the quicker this conversation was over, the quicker he could get on with the task at hand.

Gabriel rolled his eyes. Vampires had been hunted by people like him for centuries. It was this bloodsucker's fault for choosing him as his would-be victim. Although Gabriel could have slapped himself. Honestly, next time he encountered a vampire, no matter what condition he or the vampire was, he was damn well staking them.

"You know." Gabriel said conversationally as he tightened his grip on his stake. "Most vampires would count their lucky stars and find someone else to try and feed from. I didn't know I had met a dumb one, I would have put you out of your misery if I knew earlier." He taunted the vampire, readying himself for an attack.

That hit something deep inside. Something snapped. His eyes seemed to glow a bright red as he charged forewards towards him with a snarl, charging at the male. He was no longer concerned about the stake, about his wound. He just wanted to get at the hunter. He just... Really pissed him off.

Gabriel's taunting smirk twisted into a snarl, his eyes flashing as he brought the stake upwards. If he calculated correctly, not only would it pierce the vampire's stomach but since it was in an upward trajectory, through its chest and heart, possibly killing it. It would be a pain to remove the body but as long as it was dead, Gabriel could care less.

He shifted slightly, allowing the vampire to charge at him.

He skidded to a hault at the last possible moment, reaching in his pocket. It was then that he realised he no longer had his knife. He'd thrown it at the hunter earlier. Ah. He shook his head. Oh well, it didn't matter. He didn't care. He was too far gone to be worrying about that.

He jumped forewards again, right at the hunter, rigt towards the stake, fangs beared, growling.

Damn! The vampire had stopped just in time, narrowly avoiding the stake. He had paused which had given Gabriel enough time to spring away but the vampire was faster.

"Dammit." He struggled to regain his loss of balance, given the narrow confines of the room.

He charged at the male again, he was determined not to lose this time. This would only end one way. With him feeding off the other. Or Dusk dying. Okay, so, maybe there were two ways this could end. But still.

He couldn't run. The door was closed - even if he could get there in time, the vampire had smartly locked the door which meant Gabriel couldn't use it as an escape.

The window maybe? No. He was on the fourth floor. Even if he could shatter the glass with the impact, Gabriel would probably die from the fall. He cursed. Gabriel could feel an angry sort of helpless grow inside him. How did it end up like this? As the vampire charged at him once more, Gabriel knew he had no other choice, he would take this vampire down, even if it meant his death.

He noted the male looking around, for an exit. This made him smile, not exactly the most pleasant thing at that time. His fangs shone in the light, a trail of saliva dribbling down his chin. Eyes still glowing red. How wonderful.

"Ready to die?" He smirked, as he now stood in front of the hunter, looking at him.

"Not by you, for sure." Gabriel threw the vampire's taunt back.

He didn't move but Gabriel kept a tight grip on the stake. There were a few more in the apartment itself but he had no intention of letting that knowledge be known, at least not just yet. Gabriel was cornered now but he just needed that one chance, one strike. The vampire was hungry so Gabriel knew his opportunity lay only after the vampire made its move to feed from him.

He waited for a moment, before leaning forewards and stamping his foot down towards the males hurt arm. That should cause some damage... Do enough in the way of distraction so that he could quickly grab the male and shove his fangs into his neck...

Gabriel yelled in pain. Vampires had more strength than an average human and he was certain the bone was now broken.

He didn't release his hold on the stake. Whatever this vampire wanted, Gabriel wasn't going down without a fight. His hand shook feverishly though, his nerves still singing in pain.

One of his eyes twitched as he smiled. "It hurts, doesn't it? Aha, not nice, huh?" He said happily, pushing down harder. He brough his leg up to kick the male in the side, keepig an eye on the stake. His next move would be tdo the same to the other arm. Then it was all but over. He would've won, he could get his fill of blood..

"Damn you." Gabriel said weakly, his voice now hoarse from screaming.

It was definitely broken now, if it wasn't before. He couldn't go back to the witch after this. No, he had to go to the enclave. There was no way he could hide out elsewhere if this vampire would continue to come after him.

With that in mind, he panted as he pulled himself up before stabbing the vampire in its thigh.

His smile quickly faded as he let out a shriek, only just stopping himself from collapsing to his knees. "Asshole.." He muttered, curling his fingers up into a fist and retaliating with a punch, aimed towards the others chest.
