Cain dipped his head slightly, still large and imposing despite the small, respectful gesture.
"We have a few spare dens around the pack," he said, his voice level and his eyes watchful. In his peripherals, he glimpsed the familiar flash of red fur that signalled Mephistopheles, a close childhood friend and Alpha of Idemoni's sister pack, had come to speak with him. His gaze had barely wavered from Sylvia's own, but it was clear he was thinking in the gentle pause between his sentences.
"Bela will show you around all of our spare shelters," he said after a moment. "I would love to do so myself, but it seems I have important company." His eyes flashed over to Meph and back, showing who he meant.
Bela grinned - her smile was not soft and sure like her brother's, but wild and untamed and unsettling. Her golden fur flamed in the light of the sinking sun and her eyes seemed to fuel it, burning like hot coals. She stepped away from Cain to give him and Mephistopheles some space.
"You can get settled in, then it'll be time for the New Moon," she said, her predatory beam never leaving her face, simply twisting garishly as she spoke. "That'll be a good way for you to meet the rest of us, and we can determine how you'll fit in." She began to pad behind the Alpha Rock, where natural dens littered the grounds - some in obvious use, a few shadowy and unoccupied. "Got any talents? Healing, hunting, fighting?"
