Adiv watched her curiously. "Papar and penzel?" He said, mispronouncing them terribly. He reached for the paper, wanting to touch it.

"Paper and pencil," she said slowly so he could catch on. She smiled softly and handed him a sheet to get used to. "You can have this one," she said with a giggle.

Adiv's eyes widened, sparkling with curiosity. "Paaaper.." He said softly, tracing a finger over the smooth surface. "What for paper?" He asked, unsure what the paper was for.

"You use the paper to write things on. But you have to be careful of the edges because they can cut you," America explained with a smile as Luna curled up beside the cave wall. "You just lay it on a smooth surface and write with a pencil," she added. "Or a pen."

Adiv now regarded the paper with hesitant curiosity, slowly putting it down. He poked it, then giggled. "Write?" He asked, confused.

"Like letters and notes and stuff," America said before scooting over and writing her name. She then wrote the alphabet and pointed to the first letter. "That's an A. T's the first letter when saying the alphabet which is a group of letters we use to write," she said and smiled.

"A..." He said quietly. "America..." He giggled. "America have a. Have two A." He smiled brightly. "Adiv have A! But one a, no two."

America giggled softly as she nodded. "That it does," she said softly before pointing to the next letter. "That's a B. It's the second letter," she said as she looked at him, thinking for a moment. Adiv is a boy," she said as she wrote the sentence down and looked at him. "Can you find the B?"

Adiv stared at the paper a moment before pointing at the B in Boy. "Adiv boy, b in boy!" He said, smiling at America. "America boy?" He asked curiously, not quite sure what it means.

America laughed at his confusion and shook her head gently. "No I'm not a boy. I'm a girl. There's a very...noticeable difference between them," she said, not wanting to go into that kind of detail.

Adiv nodded. "Okay." He said, nodding. "What this?" He pointed at a C curiously.

"That's a c," she said with a grin as she continued with the lesson. "There's one of those in my name," she said softly as she pointed at te C in her name.

Adiv smiled. "America have C!" He said with a grin.

America giggled softly as she nodded. She pointed to the D and smiled as she looked at him. "That's a D. There's one in your name," she said softly.

"Adiv.. A..D!" Adiv said, noding. "Adiv have D... Wait... America no have D." He said, looking down at the paper. "A..B..C..D. Alphalbat." He smiled.

America smiled and nodded. "And that's not all of the alphabet. That's ones an E," she said with a small laugh as she looked at him.

Adiv's eyes shot across the paper from the E to America's name. "America has E, but boy not and Adiv not."

"That's because....well I'm not sure why that is," she said as she thought about it. "Te next letter is F," she said pointing to it. "Like...like fire," she said as she wrote the word down.

Adiv's eyes lit up. "Fire!" He said, pointing at his own fire. "Fire?" He asked her, just to be sure he was right.

"Exactly," she said as she nodded. "That's a fire," she added before pointing to the G. "That is a G. As in girl," she said, writing it down as she had many times before.
