Dax began walking up the stairs.

He began with what he called Door number 1, because, there are so many god damned doors in this place.

Before he opened it, he felt some sort of presence, he knew what it was.

But when he turned to face the demon, it disappeared. " Beato Virgo protect me. "

He then proceeded to go into the hall, eventually, after a few minutes walking he found a man with glasses.

"
Are you okay sir? "

She didnt struggle, which wasnt like her, he wanted her to struggle, wanted her to be strong. But she didnt appear to have anything left in her. Then she managed to say water, as well as curse him, and some idiocy about needing the others. *So, water. Where is there water* Evelyn fell limp, her temperature cold, she had a seizure , biting her own tongue.

"Poor Evelyn. Ill get you water." He murmured softly in her ear as his stains grabbed hold and supported her, some of them seeking out the blood, consuming it into more stain. He took hold of her body in both arms, carried her in front of him, streaks of red glow emitting underneath his skin, trying to heat her up again.

It was a strange feeling, trying to preserve someones life instead of taking it. The full amount of his contamination wanted nothing more than to consume her in his arms, but he hadnt had fun yet, and she would be made to have fun with him before anything else. *Water, where is there any water?* He looked around the hallway they had gone through, and the ones intersecting, there didnt seem like any water was nearby, and the cells didnt have water, or he could have taken her to one of them. A weird feeling was growing inside of him, regard for Evelyns life, wanting her to survive, needing her to survive, not to let the music become quiet.

There was a slight trickling sound from one of the walls, his eyes darted there and locked on moisture stuck on the wall. It wasnt cold enough for water to condense, which meant. *Meant that there was water in the wall!* He walked over to it and put Evelyn down on the ground, she looked lifeless, but he could still feel it in her, hanging on for survival. A stain lashed out from both of his arms, ripping into the wall, finding a cold copper-pipe, and tearing it outward. Water burst forth, but the initial pressure gave way to a fine trickle. He sat down on the floor and draped Evelyn in his lap. Scooping up water with his stains, and moved it to Evelyns lips so she could drink it. *His, Evelyn was his. She would survive and he then he could have fun.*

Lonalyre kept uttering those thoughts as mantra, trying to keep his contamination at bay, *He was so hungry, his body a vessel waiting to be filled with life*. Something made noise some corridors away. He couldnt be bothered.

'What the hell more PEOPLE' Zack thought even as he whirled to face the newcomer.' How busy where these scientist that they could make some many of us.' At least this one acted normal or at least Zack's version of normal, and he looked normal which was something. 'Maybe I should stare him down,a little population control never hurt, but the sir intrigued him. No one had ever called him sir before.' Smiling Zack said " I myself am very well, how about yourself "Sir"."

The last of Evelyn's seizing had passed while she was in Lonalyres arms. If she had been conscious, she would have argued her point, would have insisted on finding the others. Perhaps it was simply, that she may have been the most sane of all of them. She just, had anger management issues.

Giving the water to her proved difficult, and she would need more of it than just a trickle, just the minuscule amount. But, it was something. With some effort, she took the liquid, and the cool water, though it mixed with blood, in her dry mouth was a welcome relief -- if only she had been conscious to enjoy the sensation. Her skin was clammy, the last of the currently accessible water in her system being used as a cold sweat, from the stress and from where there was contact with Lonalyres warmer skin.

Swallowing what was given to her, Evelyn gave an involuntary sigh, her chest rising and falling with the intake. The water entering her system sent a chill down her spine, and she shuddered ever so slightly.

His? No, she didn't belong to anyone. Evelyn pondered, her mind elsewhere, her eyes fixed on the jacket that had been discarded on the floor. There was something, there, in the pocket. A switchblade. She stretched, and he thought it was something else. He didn't noticed when she reached her goal though, her fingers fondling the cool metal. A knife, a weapon.

It was a sensation he had least expected: the sharp pain in his lower abdomen. Again. Again.
Again.

The corpse was finished within minutes, a long tongue reaching out to lick away every drop from his skin and the floor. Only the clothing remained. He was only half satisfied, having been starved for far too long. Then he picked up that scent again, and silently hoped it wasn't another experiment as he followed it down the corridor, bloody footprints following him. His pace quickened to a sprint, turning and twisting through hallways until he reached Evelyn and Lonalrye, panting as he readied for another bloodbath.

Evelyn shuddered as she swallowed the water, not yet stirring. Lonalyre looked at her with care in his eyes, it pleased him immensly watching her drink from his hands, coming back to conciousness.

Then something came running towards them, looking like it had just filled itself with prey. Panting as it saw them. Starting towards them from the end of the hallway.

*Noise, infernal, carnage inducing noise. The thing was intruding, intruding on him and His Evelyn. How dared it break his moment of calm. Dare make his control waver. How dared he!* Lonalyres eyes fixed with those of the poor killer, gleaming like polished silverware heated from inside. The veins over his whole body flared up in red glow. Lonalyre stood up, facing the man squarely, things moving inder his skin, and then his body erupted as multiple arms of dark mist and smoke broke his skin, streaks of the molten fire coursing through them. He opened his mouth, his throat slithering as he spoke.

"Stay. Silent." His voice came out a low throb, the ground around him reveberating it. Dark oil swirling out from where he stood. His gaze promising hell for anyone that broke his *HIS!* calm.

Almost immediately the rising heat in the hallway caused him to falter. Not this, not fire! Swiftly he turned tail and took off at incredible speed down the hall in haste, turning the corner panting in fear. He made no other noise, clenching his own throat with a hand as he took what the firey person said in mind. Now what? That way was impossible to cross, so he lowered down onto his rear, sitting. His breathing was quiet, but rapid from his huge haste in running from the heat. He even bit his own tongue from the panic attack, some drops left on the ground where he once stood in front of Lonalyre. The blood was blue instead of red for some reason, and the trail was short, not following him to his hiding spot as his tongue quickly healed over.

Disturbance. Violence. Enough. Enough of all the bullshit. A long-fingered hand reached out and grasped Lonalyre by the ankle. She stirred slightly, red dreads falling over her face as she laid where the monster had put her. Everything was groggy, dry. Still so fucking thirsty. Claws dug into Lonalyres calf, calling for his attention. Leave the monster be. Her fingers were still chilled, and she was still dizzy and confused. There was dried blood on her lips from where the seizure has caused her to bite herself.

There was hope though. She would recover. Evelyn slipped back into complete unconsciousness.

I've come to rip you to pieces with my teeth, and to burn your heart out with my hands.

The contamination pulsated, a growing pressure in behind his eyes. Watching as the man backtracked and bolted away. Lonalyre took a step forward *Noise, choke it, stain it, drain it dry, make it silent. Intruded, it will pay, pay with life!* His arms writhing around him, readying themselves, the stain on the ground returning into his feet, making them blacken. Preparing for another hunt.

But suddenly Evelyns hand closed around one of his ankles, almost stirring, but she fell back down. He was holding her before she touched the ground, *his* Lonalyre looked her over, she was so weak, not like she had been, it would be so easy to... *NO!* He shock himself, clearing his head, the stains falling inside him again. His tongue flicked out and flowed over his mouth, she was beautiful, so tender, he didnt notice that her claws had burned into his calf. He craved her, like nothing he had wanted before, and he was so close to contaminating her thoroughly and swallowing her whole. He shuddered, when he woke he wasnt sure if he could contain himself. He returned to letting her drink from his hands, small shudders going through her body *his*.
He noticed something on the ground away where the killer had stopped. Blue blood... He flicked out a stain towards it, maybe it could help her, his stain found it filled with life, he dripped it into Evelyns mouth, hoping she would come back before he couldnt keep himself back.

After a few moments, Evelyn began to move once again, though all her movements were sluggish. It took a minute longer for her eyes to finally open, to find herself in the predators arms. No, they were all predators. Her mouth was no longer numb, and neither was any other part of her. Except, perhaps, her fingers were still cold and felt like they were being prickled by a hundred sewing needles.

Inner fire began to burn coals, to come back to life as she came back to consciousness. Evelyn made to sit up, placing a hand on the Pestilence to steady herself. "Where...?" Still confused. She turned to look into Lonalyres face, to examine his eyes. She had to hold back the natural desire to cuss and to fight, to jump out of his lap. Instead, she only half crawled from him, letting her head hang. Being on her knees probably wasn't a fantastic idea. She got up the rest of the way, standing wobbly, stumbling just a bit.

"Talk to me," she demanded, turning to face the Pestilence. "What's your name?" Why bother? It seemed almost as though he was one of the most animalistic beings she had ever had the bad luck to come across.

Nate could only listen to what happened. It seemed that the injured female regained consciousness, but she was not being attacked yet. He thought the situation over, the excitement from before making him sick. He had to settle for what he had eaten, and live with it. At least he had eaten enough to keep himself in control again, and mostly function well. He took several deep breaths, and felt a pain in his abdomen. Something was poking his insides, if not stabbing them. He hadn't noticed this pain until now, after all of that movement. His actions must have dislodged something in his body, and the pain varied from being sharp to dull. His hand moved from his throat to his mouth as he felt something climb the back of his throat, a liquid. He shut his eyes tightly, and swallowed, leaning back against the wall to let out a soft sigh in his attempt to remain quiet. He could smell his own blood still, and reached an index finger into his mouth, reaching back enough to almost gag. Swiftly he pulled his hand back out, and it had faint traces of his blood on it. Either from biting his tongue, or whatever was causing him pain was causing internal bleeding. He looked back in the direction of the two experiments, but did not look past the corner, knowing to remain hidden from the dominant one. After a while he crawled off, heading into an unlocked room to sit down again to the side of the door against the wall. Blood dripped from his nose from moving, and he tilted his head back to make the flow stop, as it leaked from the back of his throat.

He watched her wake up, slowly managing to open her eyes and notice him. She put a hand on his shoulder to steady herself, asking where they were, though it could have been regarding something else, her orientation was apparently not back yet. She looked in his eyes, her body tensing slightly, but she didnt do any rash actions. *I would not have kept control then*

Evelyn druggedly got out from his lap, taking a moment to stand up straight. She faced him them, demading that he talk to her, tell her his name. *I already told you Evelyn, but Ill say it again* he smiled slightly, it was becoming hard to not launch himself at her, but talking may distract his hunger.
"Lonalyre, sweet Evelyn, I hope you arent mad about the staining. I had to know that I would find you." It was easier to keep control, but he could still feel the contamination longing to latch out at her. His veins darkened as he dtood up and looked directly at her eyes. *You are my music* The smile got more pleasant on him.

As he talked to her, the fuzziness began to fade, the confusion clearing up slightly. She was still slightly dizzy, and still thirsty, however. Wait. This man was still naked.

Was she mad about his 'staining'? What he had put into her, into her mouth? She had gone so numb. But, they still needed to reorientated themselves, Evelyn felt it was important. ".. Maybe later," she muttered finally, her mind managing to hide the more correct response from her.

There was a trickling sound, drawing Evelyn's attention to the wall, her eyes fixing on the broken pipe. Still thirsty. So, she got back down and put her hands under the stifled flow, catching a handful after a moment and drawing the side of her palm to her mouth. She sucked down what she had. It felt so good. "Fuck," Evelyn sighed, relieved, putting her hands back to her lips for more water. She stayed there for a minute or two, trying to drink her fill. By the time she was mostly finished, everything cleared up; the confusion, the dizziness. Most of her thirst was gone for the moment.

"We should still find the others... They're likely here for the same reason," Evelyn said, turning to face Lonalyre, sitting on the floor with her back to a solid piece of wall. "If they had any more luck than I did, it would be worth it to check."

" Good. "

He said as he began looking around to see if there was anyone else nearby.

"
Is there anyone else here? "

She looked at him, finally muttering something about talking about it later. He watched over her as she drank her fill of the water. His hunger didnt recede, but he could keep it at bay, for now. She was so lovely to look at, a thought occurred to him, maybe he should find some clothes. Not that they mattered, his stain kept him shielded from any weather.

When she was done sating her thirst she sat back against the wall, looking at him. She thought that they should find the others, *noise, they were only noise* But he could understand that they were probably here for the same reason he had went to the lab a few days ago, searching for answers. Lonalyre looked at her when she was done talking, thinking about it. He wouldn't let her out of his sight, and the others could always become part of his contamination if they weren't as strong as her. In which case, he could follow her idea as far as it would take her. Afterwards he could have more fun with her. A few stains writhed underneath his skin, they wanted nothing more than to take her once again *Patience, she'll give herself to me before long* She was already his, but she had presumably not understood that yet, he could wait for her to realize.

"Maybe, but they don't seem to be very cooperative. And you have no idea where they are. Where were you thinking of searching for them?" He tried to sound as calm and collected as he could, but the contamination hungered inside of him, and her music made him want to play, he needed to kill.

"We should backtrack," Evelyn responded, pulling her left foot up, resting it on her right knee. She began to unlace her boots, and slowly pulled them off. She winced as she did this, attempting to peel her foot away. Socks were useless. Wool socks were dangerous. The sole of Evelyn's boots had melted onto her feet, and she had made the mistake of not taking them off before she had cooled down. The result was ugly. The plastic had re-solidified, merging with the bottoms of her feet. It wasn't going to make anything easy; this had to come off, sooner rather than later.

Evelyn's boots there tossed aside, and she went back to the broken pipe for more water. Just a minute more, just a few more handfuls. Then, she stood once again, wincing as she put her bare feet on the cold, tile floor. Perhaps she should have simply left her boots on. There had to have been a better place to take them off.

"... It's good to see you can at least talk like a human being," she told Lonalyn, looking up at him as she spoke. "But, don't you even think of 'staining' me again, or else I'll fuck you up so bad..." She meant it as much as she could.

Well, at least she didn't try and tell him what to do. He watched her as she plucked of her boots, they had melted to her feet as she tried to attack him earlier, *so feisty* she removed them without any complaint and then threw them aside. Lonalyre stretched his body as Evelyn went for another few handfuls of water. He watched her, so far still managing his control.

As she looked up at him and told him that it was nice to see him talking like a human being he couldn't help but smile, the only reason he was talking like that was that he tried to keep her comfortable, but she didn't need to know that. When she told him to "never" again stain her however, his control wavered, his contamination throbbing inside, wanting to be released and show her how much her threats were worth. Lonalyre closed his eyes and endured the convulsion that went through his body. Then he straightened, let out a slow breath and looked her in the eyes again.

"I would love to see you try it sexy." His voice heavy with desire, the veins on his right arm were starting to glow *hot, oh how hot it was, the flame so close at hand* With an effort of mind he forced back the urge to launch his stains at her right there.

He flexed the hand, releasing the pressure that had gathered in it, it left everything but his index-finger, only making it glow less. He walked over to the water and took a few tastes himself, he hadn't realized how thirsty he was, opening his mouth and letting the stains reach out from his tongue he drank till he was full. Then he looked up at Evelyn again.

"So, where would you like to start looking?" He tried to keep a nice expression on his face, but he only thought of sating his stains with the other people that had disappeared somewhere while he defeated the demon, though now that he thought back on it, the one whom had worn the demon like an outer shell had escaped. *I will thank him when I find him again, by consuming everything he is* This could prove to be fun, his smile turned into his usual grin again.

Seth breaks Sophie's arm and takes her switchblade and slices her throat open, her blood spills to the floor. Seth kisses her fading, dead lips and lets her body fall to the floor "just a moment" he said to the corpse as he turned to Rosie who stood in an aggressive stance and finally realized that the figures behind her weren't people but some sort of animated dead. "And just what are you going to do girlie?"

" I've only seen one so far and I'm not sure that he would count,....but I've heard a lot of noise around here today" Zack smiled "Would you like to check it out, after you of course". He knew that at least one hungary... thing roamed the corridors and the scream indicated at least another. If he could get this ... person... to go first... This could be interesting maybe fatally interesting. "I'm Zack by the way, who are you?"

Evelyn saw the effort it took Lonalyre to control himself, and for whatever reason, it made her confident. This meant that the intent was to not kill her.

"Don't call me that," she said, almost flatly. There was a hint of venom in her voice, but other than that, she kept it to herself. It was likely the wise decision, considering how he still glowed slightly. She couldn't help but wonder when he would fully heal.

"There was a woman that helped me, while you and that... Thing, were fighting. I think we may want to go see her first," Evelyn explained, absently rubbing her heel on the hard floor. It needed to come off, sooner or later.

Speaking of clothes. Something suddenly occurred to Evelyn. Lonalyres junk was just.... Out there. He might not have cared, but Evelyn, she didn't particularly feel like being distracted. She doubted any of the others would approve either, although it seemed like so e of them were almost as, if not more, animalistic than the man she now faced. "On second thought, let's find you some goddamned pants..."
