Name: Callum Leary

Age: 24

Gender: Male

Appearance: From even the most cursory of glances, it is clear that Callum is not fully human. His skin is a dark gray tone, his lips a near black hue. In dim settings, it is evident that Cal's skin emits it's own light, a faint glow tinged slightly blue. His fingers and toes are webbed, evidence that whatever his ancestry, it most likely includes an aquatic race. His attire is more utilitarian, comprised of well worn and durable items. Two staples of his wardrobe are a pair of sturdy boots and a dark red leather jacket, made from Leviathan hide which is known for it's resilience.

Species: Human Tevian Hybrid
Tevian
Tevians are an amphibious race from their homeworld of Tevia. A planet comprised mostly of water with only sparse land masses that are insufficient to support colonies of those not aquatically gifted. The Tevians are humanoid in appearance, although bearing skin tones of various shades of gray, blue, and green. Their fingers and toes are webbed and their limbs and backs have fins to help propel them through their ocean home. They are also know for their strong sense of smell, both in and out of water. In terms of self defense, the Tevians are gifted with a strong bioelectric field that allows them to sense prey and release high voltages in order to paralyze or kill.

Hybrid
The results of breeding between different species are rarely exact and often unpredictable. Callum, while bearing a mostly human form, is noticeable for his pale gray skin tone and the darker shades of his lips. He has webbed fingers and toes as well, though is severely handicapped in terms of his Tevian ancestors in that he has no fins or gills making him not much more useful than your average human in the water. The greatest advantage of his ancestry is Callum's bioelectric inheritance, granting him the same offensive and defensive abilities as his forefathers.

Electrical Enhanced Condition
The flow of electricity coursing through his body allows him to react more quickly to situations, giving him enhanced reflexes.

Electricity Generation
Callum can conduct this bioelectric energy outwards to incapacitate his enemies. In order to shock someone, he needs to be making either direct contact or be connected via some conductive material.

Bioluminescence
Cal's skin has a faint, bluish glow to it that while unnoticeable in most lighting, is something akin to the glow of a candle in darkness.

Electroreception
Using the bioelectric fields all living things possess, Cal can sense people and animals in a short distance around him.

Weapons: Callum is a brawler, he fights primarily with his feet, fists, and elbows. When a bit more force is needed, Cal resorts to using knuckle dusters made from a dark metal known for it's conductive capabilities. Rather than having individual finger holes, it instead is just one circular bar with a heavy, studded plate that rests against the back of his fingers. Of course, he also has his bioelectric abilities to fall back on.

Background: Callum never knew his Tevian mother, all he really knows about the woman was that she was in a desperate hurry to get back to her homeland. So desperate, in fact, that she abandoned her gill-less son on Norrux Mirugal with his father. His father was not a cruel man despite being a fence for stolen goods, he did have a bit of a love for the drink but given the wide gambit of vices on the planet, a relatively tame one. The planet is not a kind one for children, hazards lie around every corner and you have to adapt quickly to survive. Cal found that punching things until they stopped moving was often an effective measure against such dangers. He often found himself involved in many brawls growing up, finding that he actually enjoyed the activity so much that he devoted much of his free time to training to make himself stronger and faster.

Eventually, Callum's fighting drew the attention of a local crime lord named Norix. The man saw an opportunity in Callum to make some easy money in the Arena. The Arena was one of the major sources of entertainment in the city, a grand coliseum where onlookers could place bets as entrants fought one another, often till one was maimed or killed. Cal agreed to fight in the Arena with Norix serving as his patron, seeing the financial gain in the situation and a means to finally escape the planet. He's done very well for himself in the Arena, gaining a respectably sized fan base among the city's denizens and some healthy padding in his bank account. Now his only real hurdle to escape the city is Norix himself, who has been using his influence to keep Cal from purchasing passage on any ships.

Personality:
Callum is a very reserved individual and has never had many friends, after all, how can you trust anyone in a sea of smugglers, thieves, and murderers? His mixed heritage has left him without any real clan to call his own and as such, has always felt like a bit of an outsider. He doesn't warm up to people easily and his personality is a bit dry and sarcastic, serving to keep people at arms length.

Other: Callum has a habit of accidentally shorting out small electronics and tends to avoid handling them.

Identity
Remnant Serviler FS-176
Drone Designation
Diplomatic Intelligence Interface Mk.II, colloquially named DI2 (D-I-Two) or Dii (dee) by organic species.

Time Active
Drone Frame: 363 Earth solar days, or approximately 8712 hours
A.I.: CLASSIFIED

Gender
Neutral

Physical Design
Though not the prettiest design the Adscions can muster, most of their efforts have been put into making the drone move as much like a human as possible. The Adscions chose a human shape due to the statistically greater numbers of Humans than other species, and due to the Humans being the social, biological, and physiological standard in which all other species were compared. They also chose a male frame due to the larger and more rigid structure being more readily craftable than the more smaller and slender female sex.

Important to note is that Dii's "body" does not house its "mind." Dii is a drone, while the personality and A.I. that controls it is does so through satellite broadcasts. If the Adscions deem a more efficient form is necessary, Dii can switch to a different drone that better fits its purpose. However, it'll take quite a bit before the Adscions decide to waste more time and resources to replace a drone that can still function properly.

[tabs]
[tab=Species]Species
Dii is an Adscion, a fully mechanical and artificial species who value harvesting resources and trading above all else. Their origin is classified and kept secret, but they've been on the outer rim of the galaxy and even in dark space far before they were first contacted.

Generally the Adscions are respected but rarely trusted; their willingness to trade anything with anyone has gained them more enemies than allies, as they will likely sell their allies' secrets and plans quite easily for a fair price. Their trade policies also allow their lands to be infested with uncontested pirates and marauders; as long as they pay their rent and do not attack Adscions, the pirates are free to travel anywhere in Adscion territory unharassed. And of course, if a better deal crops up, the Adscions are known to betray their allies in favor of the more productive campaign. Cold and moralless robots who devour planets and suns alike to fuel their industrial supermachine, that is the general perspective of the Adscions.

The Adscions themselves are gigantic factories that have completely devoured and replaced the planet they reside on. Every planet is a single Adscion, and they interact with their world through drones and machines the planetary factory constantly pumps out. There may be exceptions, such as an Adscion in the form of a battleship that is used as a mobile command center in times of war, but that is few and far between. Generally when one converses with an Adscion drone, they are conversing with an entire planet and all its inhabitants, giving Adscions the illusion of carrying a bit more weight with their words and influence than the typical ambassador and further increasing their already foreign and frightful image.

The Adscions are decades behind in technology, but that doesn't mean they are weak. Their craft are streamlined; oxygen, crew quarters, food and water, bridge controls, consoles, passageways… all of that required for organic crew is replaced with more weaponry, better engines, thicker armor, larger cargo holds, etc. While their spacecraft are far superior to anything of similar technological design, their technology is so far behind that it is of negligible improvement compared to other, more modern civilizations. On that note, Adscion personnel weaponry is severely underwhelming due to a couple of critical factors, the main being that the Adscions themselves do not use small arm weaponry and they must be designed for organic handling, something the Adscions have no experience with. Their weapons are dirt-cheap, however, and robust enough to endure any atmosphere, environment, or gravity without complications.

Above all else, though, the Adscion industrial supermachine is a nightmare unlike any other, capable of creating obscene numbers of craft, warmachines, weapons, transports, and any other thing they deem necessary in very small amounts of time. The Adscions went to war only once long before they met the Humans and other organics. The debris field from that devastating war still exists today, a dense Wall of metal scraps and space vessel carcasses that destroy any and all who try going through it.[/tab]

[tab=Armaments]Armaments
Dii, as a humanoid drone built for diplomatic purposes, does not carry any weaponry on its person. However, as a machine, Dii's accuracy and reflexes are a notch above the average organic and Dii is capable of utilizing nearly any weaponry built for organic use. Dii will not use weaponry that the Adscions have not obtained permission to utilize, and as such many of the most modern weaponry (and almost every Queronian weapon) are off-limits to Dii.

Dii's physical strength and durability are superior to an average organic for obvious reasons (being made of metal does tend to make one more solidly built), but that doesn't make it a match for more specialized equipment. Power suits, industrial machines, even sports and military prosthetics for organics can easily surpass Dii's capabilities. Not to mention that while tough, Dii technically isn't armored so projectiles and weaponry can affect Dii just the same as it would an unarmored organic.[/tab]

[tab=Background]Background
Dii is one of the few drones sent to discover, research, and understand the "unknown organic variables." As such, it was designed to closely resemble a human in structure and movement in effort for the Adscions to attempt recreating the "unknown organic variables." It was launched to a random populated area within a civilized organic territory. Dii safely landed and made contact with the local organics, Humans. Though initially met with suspicion as a rogue A.I., Dii managed to convince the locals that its purpose was not hostile without revealing that it was an Adscion drone.

For a short time Dii intermingled with the locals, even going so far as to help them construct houses or fix vehicles or even walk their seacats. Dii unfortunately made the mistake of supplying the local mechanic. And by supplying, I mean a drop-pod of obvious Adscion construction fell from the sky and landed in the mechanic's backyard, filled to the brim with heavy-duty industrial tools and more personal tools, all in a recognizable Adscion design. No one knows who, or they just won't say who, but the information of an unofficial Adscion drone residing in some backwater town deep in human territory was leaked to the authorities.

While obviously not intended for hostile purposes, the organic civilization would not ignore the fact that a drone was sent unannounced to their territories. Dii was launched via grav-catapult back towards Adscion territory, though it was immediately intercepted by the Adscions and redeployed to a different location. A rather foolish mistake as the civilization was still on high alert.

Again Dii was captured, this time as a VIP prisoner. Dii was last seen on a transport headed towards Hren. Why that particular planet and for what purpose, the government keeps a tight lid on that information.[/tab]

[tab=Other]Other
Dii's A.I. is physically in Adscion territory, far from the drone that is called Dii. Dii uses satellites to broadcast and receive information, much like a wireless controller. Needless to say, if a satellite is destroyed or rendered inactive, Dii will immediately switch connection to a different, further satellite to maintain connection. Latency issues and lag spikes ahoy.

Dii can also change to a different drone if its current body is destroyed or rendered inoperable. Not that Dii will do that willy-nilly; drones cost resources to build, and time to send somewhere – better and far more productive to just keep one drone active instead of sending a bunch of drones whenever the last gets slightly damaged.

All great sheets! Accepted...

But:

@ShiningMist, you're missing something small which is essential to acceptance :3

Ssshhhh!! THE SECRETS!

...

and yes :3

Ahh, I see what the ruckus was about in the previous posts now :P

"Sour ab out that"?

Raz? Are you drunk?

And please erase any mention of "the secret" from posts please. Gotta keep the newbies in line.

Good. The best way to RP is when you're hammered.

Soon, hopefully Friday.

Join in the discussions about how and where our characters are coming into the RP.

Okay, so I've planned to have our first planet-visit to take place on Norrux Mirugal, the crime planet I listed earlier. We can either start on a royal cruiser passing by the planet (piloted by Maarcuu on some kind of diplomatic transportation mission) before it's attacked by a group of "pirates" and crash-lands on the planet below.

Now, you can choose to start on Norrux Mirugal, or somehow get involved with the transport (being a part of the crew, a diplomat traveling with the ship, or maybe even a stowaway). Either or, its up to you.

I'mma be a bit late getting a character up. I'm super duper busy as of late and unfortunately there's nothing I can do. Until Wednesday, I'm loaded with work. Sorry!

Well, Callum will be brooding away on the planet. Possibly punching things.
