synopsisYears ago, vampires came out of the coffin. The world knows they exist and, needless to say, they hate them. They're nothing but monsters in the eyes of humans. And so the world became prejudice against them, doing anything and everything in their power to get rid of them.

Now, in the year 2017, the nightwalkers known as vampires are near extinction. Most hide the fact of what they are, some are in hiding, a lot of them are disconnected from one another. They are no safer now then they were years ago. Hunted, abused, bigoted against.

To make matters worse, they have lost many of their powers, almost human, no longer immortal. They fight and hate even among each other. However, hope is not lost.
A coven has formed in the underground, from the shadows they help their kin. They have a bigger mission in mind, gathering descendants of royal vampires who are still strong and carry unique abilities, exclusively within in their family. They hope with these special vampires in their coven they will be stronger.

Yet, they have a more sinister plan with these individuals ...
Will these descendants be willing to join them? They already have enough problems as it is in the world they live in. Are they willing to dedicate themselves to something so big and may hurt them?
Or do they even have a choice?

historyThe existence of vampires date goes way back. How they came to be? No one is exactly sure what the original story is, except a select few. But there are many legends, folklore, and tales that were created. Still, no one truly knows if they are true.
However, there were times when vampires were of high power and status, those times have been forgotten. The only time's people know are now and how it started back in the 1920's, in which vampires unveiled themselves to the human race. Before that, they had been secretive and hid within in the shadows, but there was many of them.
When they revealed themselves everything changed. The first act was to exterminate them, they were monsters and nothing more. Vampire hunters became a real thing and they were praised, made wealthy and famous. This lasted 10 years. Despite vampires being vampires, many of them were still people's family and friends and some important figures who had never harmed humans. There were humans against this act, and so the hunting career was destroyed legally.
Yet, they were still feared and resented even among themselves. Over time the vampires had grown weaker, losing power, losing immortality, barely a step above humans. Though, there were still some who had power and the weaker one's loathed them.
So, despite hunting them was no longer legal it didn't stop some from taking them down. They were later given a few rights years after being treated so badly. This knowledge scared the people greatly 'causing more violence, public fights, and protest.
Finally, though, the vampires had very few rights they were given laws against them. Laws that followed them anywhere in the world. To this day, not much has changed if anything at all.

The roleplay will take place none other than the big apple. The city of New York. The time is the same, with it being 2017, but the season will be autumn as it is now.
For many vampires prefer to live in big cities to try in blend in. They stick out less than in small towns. New York has the largest vampire population in the US. Unbeknownst to the humans and most vampires, it is also home to the strongest and one of the few underground covens in the world.

- Public businesses have the right to refuse services to vampires
- Taking blood from a human is absolutely forbidden unless you have been given permission
- Covens are absolutely forbidden
- Humans and vampires are prohibited to have any romantic relationships. Especially reproducing with one another.
- When out at night vampires must report this to a public figure and the time they return. They must always carry their phone on them for tracking purposes.
food sourceFortunately, since the vampire protection act started the coven, anonymously, started a business to feed their kind without breaking the law. The took the blood from animals to feed their brethren. Animal blood is not as tasty or nutritious as human blood but it's enough to keep them alive and going.

V A M P I R E SVampires, the second class citizens of the world, the most hated and feared among humans. However, they have fought among themselves too. Why? They are split into two groups. The standard vampires, Silvers, and the Royals. Though there are barely any royals left, they are the strongest out of their race. For some reason, all vampires are drawn to the city of New York.
All vampires share the same weaknesses, however.
Heat/Sunlight: The heat and direct sunlight damage them greatly. They are more sluggish and weak depending on the temperature of the heat, not to mention they suffer from an odd case of hemophilia
Silver: The touch of silver will instantly weaken them, losing conscious because the energy has been zapped out of them is a common occurrence.
Garlic: They're allergic to it. Deathly allergic.
Holy Relics/Objects: Holy objects and relics physically repel vampires.
Holy Water: Any contact with holy water burns them severely, fourth-degree burns. Though it heals over time they are left with scars.
Mortality: They can die like any other human, at least the Silvers can. They're longest life expectancy is only 150 years.
- They have sadly lost the power to turn others as well. The only way to make more vampires is to reproduce.
silversSilvers are the standard vampires, the weak ones. They dominate the vampire population. The majority of them no longer carry any powers and the few that do have weak power only consisting of standard vampire powers such as:
Unnatural Strength – The power to exert great strength.
Unnatural Senses – To have uncanny senses. Better sight, smell, hearing, taste, and sense of touch than any human.
Unnatural Speed – To be able to move at faster than the human eye.
Vision – Most vampires have night or heat vision but there have been instances of blood flow vision, the ability to see the flow of blood of any living being.
They must feed all the same, though.
Because they are the weaker ones they are often fed on by the Royals who are rare. This has 'caused an almost uncontainable hate they have for royals. Therefore, they too mistreat the royals or any vampire with power whether it be strong or not.
However, they have one advantage over the royals. They can last longer without feeding.
The Royals are the strongest vampires there are. They are the descendants of the royal vampire families and so they have kept most of their powers, especially the special powers that are exclusively for their kin.

There are three generations of royal families.
GETHIN: The very first royal vampire family and the strongest. Said to be direct descendant of the Vampire Queen, the very first vampire. Though no one is sure whether this fact is true or even if the Vampire Queen is. The Gethins ruled the second longest out of each generation, said to be the most powerful out of all three generations.
The powers they possess are:
Telekinesis: Telekinesis is the ability to manipulate and control objects/matter with the mind.
Telepathy: The power to read/sense another person's thoughts, communicate with them mentally and/or control/manipulate their minds/thoughts.
Clairvoyance: The power to visually perceive events that are taking place elsewhere or sense places that are not in view.
DOUGLAS: The second royal family. Though not the strongest royal family they were the ones to live the longest as well as their reign being the longest. However, they also the ones with the least living descendants because too many feared their power.
The powers they possess are:
Animation: The ability to bring inanimate objects to life.
Mediumship/Necromancy: The ability to see, communicate, raise/summon and control the dead.
Astral Projection: The ability to separate and control one's astral body outside of the physical body. The out-of-body experience where one can travel outside of their body.
SCHUYLER: They are the last royal family with the most surviving descendants. They are the weakest out the three royal families because each member is only able to possess one or two ability instead of three like the other families. However, their bloodline is not exclusive to only three abilities exactly. They have the most abilities in their family out of the three.
The powers they possess are:
Biokinesis: The power to heal or perform other biological manipulation, like stop a heart.
Cryokinesis: The ability to control the element of ice, or cold in general.
Ferrokinesis:The ability to mentally manipulate metal.
Precognition: The ability to see events before they happen.
Shapeshifting: This is an obvious one, it's the power to transform your body into another form, like an animal.
Pyrokinesis: The elemental power to manipulate fire, or heat.
Animal Control: The ability to control animals.
H U M A N S
There is not much to say about humans, everything about them is shown and seen. The majority of them feel nothing but hate for vampires, but there are some who sympathize with them. Sadly, the haters seems to overshadow the kind ones who stand up for the nightwalkers. And despite vampire hunting being an illegal career there are a few who work in the shadows killing vampires for pay or just out of hate and fear.

the coven
The coven is ancient. It was founded after the rule of the last royal vampire family ended. It was started by vampires who served under the royal family to keep the kind going strong and it has been around since. Of course, the old members perished and the new ones came in but it has survived hardships from every angle and every way.
Sadly, when the vampires act was made law, they were disbanded and the members who refused to abide the law were sentenced to death or arrested. The coven was over and no longer existing. Or so they thought.
The coven was reformed in the underground not long after they disbanded. Only few know anything about it and those few only hear rumors. It has never been more secret than now in these hard times. After all, it is the strongest and one of very few existing covens.
Over the years they have been protecting and helping vampires alike. The lead members grew in power and wealth as best they could to keep it going, to be the strongest as possible.
However, they have one goal in mind and that is to protect their kind. And to do that, they have a plan but they would need royals for it to work.
The coven will do anything and everye to accomplish their goal.

Seraphine Mallory
A descendant of the Gethin's, Seraphine is very powerful vampire both in abilities and personality. She does not lack confidence or gumption, making her quite fearless. Because of this, she is quite intimidating and bossy but somehow radiates a motherly warmth.
Pallas Favre
He is a decendat of the Schuyler family. Quiet, careful and conniving, Pallas is almost always three steps ahead of everyone else. He is quite observant, resolute and never does anything without a reason.
Mr. Klaus
Mr. Klaus is anonymous to all other coven members except for the other leaders who, in fact, work under him. He funds the coven and sends down orders. The only public information is that he is quite old, being one of the original members when they disbanded and was the one to recreate it.

Moonlight Bar
A bar owned by Mr. Klaus and managed by Pallas, Seraphine and only a few trusted others. It serves as a vampire-friendly bar and secret base/meeting place for the coven. It was built on the very same spot as the old coven base that had burned down years ago.

Exactly as it sounds, a museum dedicated to vampires. Here is another location owned and started by Mr. Klaus but taken cared off and managed by a few others.

This is precise in itself. The house of the coven. Of course, owned by the coven head Klaus. It's an older Victorian mansion.

5. You are not allowed to physically main another's character without permission.
6. Read these rules as well every other tab of info before making a character. Please say a shade of red so I know you've read everything.
7. There is a limit of four characters only, and you must keep the female to male ratio equal.
8.Romance is encouraged but should not be the focal point of all relationships.
9. Keep swearing to a minimum, three swears per post. On that note, fade sex scenes to black or take it to PMs. Also, though, this is a vampire roleplay and things are bound to get morbid it should not be so much so that you need to put a warning beforehand. Naturally, we will have dark content but none of it should have to be posted in a star forum.
10. Have fun, that is mandatory.
