Dr. Kileaton suddenly came onto the walkie-talkies of the guards who were watching over all the rooms, "The trouble makers have been caught and punished. All the experiments except those currently in testing may be let out." His voice showed no emotion, he simply said what was needed then stopped. Once he finished, the guards all opened the doors of the rooms which held all the creatures and then they led (more like shoved) them back out to the courtyard. When he finished speaking and all the workers were doing as they were ordered, Jasper leaned back in his chair in his office with a sigh and simply observed the security cameras in the testing rooms and kept an eye on the courtyard in case any more aliens decided to cause an uproar.

It had been awhile since Hayley had shown that much skill, it made Alina somewhat thankful that she was trapped in the room, prevented from hurting the subjects or the staff. The Aswang broke the disks as if they were just fragile glass, part of Alina was disappointed by how the disks didn't seem to last, but seeing Hayley so prideful of what she had just done amused her, to the point of where the scientists flashed a smile of her own back. Not realizing what she had done until it was too late, her expression went back to it's usual, cold one. That smile, if Hayley saw it, was just a distortion by the glass for all Alina knew.

Alina wasn't quite done with her yet. She might not have another opportunity to test her like this again, before she went back to being a weakling. Now, what would challenge the Aswang, and make it worthwhile to have to earn her freedom? ... Ah, yes, this one. Managing the control panel, several pores came out of the floor and the walls. Lines of fire would come out of them, and the test subject would have to dodge the flames lest they get burned, all while the fires shot out faster and faster.

"Reflex training." Alina said, and without a moment's hesitation, pushed the button, making the first few flames shoot out. Here's to the Aswang not horribly disappointing me. She thought, watching to see if she could ace this one as well.

Hayley actually was able to catch a glimpse at Alina's smile, but it was gone so quickly she wasn't sure if it had truly happened or not. She then had barely enough time for her words to register in her mind before the flames burst from all around her. Her eyes quickly widen as she sees the flash of bright light and dodges just in time to miss the majority of the flame but it had still managed to catch her entire arm from the elbow down. She screamed out in pain and gripped just above the wound tightly, hissing from the stinging sensation. But she didn't have much time before the next flames came out at her and she had to quickly move out of the way so she wouldn't become more injured. She swiftly dodged the flames in many skilled movements resembling that of an expert gymnast. She tried to use her hurt arm as little as possible but still had to put weight on it while flipping out of the way of a large burst of fire.

Sweat trickled down her face at the immense heat which surrounded her and the smell of her still cooking flesh which had been burned assaulted her nose and made her bite her lip so hard it drew blood. The smell of burning flesh would be disgusting to any other person, but to an aswang it was like a human smelling bacon being cooked. She tried to repress her hunger, having fed off blood earlier but not flesh so she was still wanting. The smell unfortunately distracted her from her movements so she was hit yet again, this time on her leg. This burn was not as bad as her arm but it still stung deeply.

She barely managed to finish this test as well, dodging the rest of the flames quickly, but not as well as she could have without any wounds. Once the flames stopped coming she still stood standing, anticipating the fires to continue but once she realized it was over she relaxed and moved all of her weight onto her unharmed leg and cradled her injured arm lightly, trying not to breathe in the enticing smell of the roasted wounds.

Finally! She heard doors opening, a lot of doors which could only mean they were letting everyone back out again. Tynes stood up but stayed back from the door so the guards would not feel threatened. Her thoughtfulness was not returned as the front guard reached and grabbed her by the arm and yanked her harshly out in the hallway and then pushing her in the direction of the crowd. It was too bad they couldn't have free roaming time. Time to choose when to be in their room and when not to be. She didn't really feel like going back outside but it didn't matter what she wanted, only what her captors wanted.

Once outside, Tynes wandered off into a far corner near one of the trees and found a comfortable spot sitting in it's shade. Several others had the same idea but that was okay with her. It gave her the chance to listen to the others speak, watch their body language and see what she could learn. That only lasted for so long though and once again she was bored so she began playing with some leaves on the ground in front of her. Her finger pointed, making a clockwise circle motion. The leaves in turn were dancing in the mini dust devil type whirlwind she had conjured up. She enjoyed watching the leaves dance bringing a slight smile to her face as she remembered a few fond and fun memories back home.

(I can totally have my character teach you English, Aislin :D)!
Shadow got slightly unfair treatment from the guards as they "escorted" her out, as they were the same ones she had teased earlier. They shoved her to the ground and literally kicked her out. Shadow just took it, as she didn't want to go through testing like that again. Her injuries were slowly healimg from the blood, but all of the pain was still there. She walked t her usual spot and looked at the beings around her, noticing one of them making leave "dance." Shadow was amused by this, and decided to talk to the creature, walking over and sitting down near her. "Hello," She said to her quietly. "The thing you are doing with the leaves is pretty cool! I'm Shadow, and yourself?"

(YAY! :D - I meant to PM you to ask so I'm glad.)

There were creatures everywhere of various forms. Tynes had always been curious where they were all found since she did not know much about other worlds or of all the races that could be found on her own planet. She watched out of the corner of her eye, still concentrating though on the leaves in front of her, one of the smaller creatures that was taken away by the guards was coming over to share the space under the shaded tree. She walked over, looking like she was still in pain from whatever tests they chose to run on her. For that the Lathlanian felt bad for her and tried to think of some way she could express her sympathy.

Once the girl was seated, Tynes heard a word she recognized. It was one of greeting so she looked up to find the girl watching the dancing leaves and saying something else that she did not understand. The sounds and syllables all sounding like they ran together. Tynes tilted her head slightly and smiled, losing her concentration which made the leaves slow down and eventually stop. Maybe this girl would teach her?

Wih a puzzled look to her face, her silvery brow furrowing slightly... "H...Heellooo", nodding her head when she finished, smiling at her accomplishment. Her first actual alien word spoken to anyone. Thinking what else she could do to introduce herself, she pointed a finger at her chest, "Tynes" and then pointed a finger at Shadow and tilted her head again and waited to see if the girl understood.

Ah," Shadow said with a smile. "You do not speak this language? Nice to meet you, Tynes. I could teach you. You know, tell you what the words mean?"

Genni had never felt a pain such as this. he could practically feel the noose around his neck and decided that it would be best if he stopped fighting the pain and let it take him into oblivion. He started to feel the world close around him and was welcoming it with open arms.anything to get away from this terrible pain.

Pain's hand braced against the wall, his own breathing slightly labored from the old wound. The one thing that hurt him in his life. As his breathing became harder, he let the hand at his neck fall and the glow around the scar faded, letting him and the boy breath easier. He coughed slightly, looking over at Genni with a hint of pity in his eyes. He sighed, shaking his head before touching his arm and shifting his leg. F***ing hell, a burn? Who burns creatures in this place? He may not have felt the pain, but he reconized it in a way.

He drew the pain in himself, taking it from whoever was bearing it, and split it with the boy, not letting him feel as much as he should have probably. He sat back against the wall, sitting beside danger with a halfhearted sigh, controlling his emotions again. He did feel a slightly shamed of making to boy suffer a hangman's death, but then again, he suffered too. "Stay awake, boy; if you faint, no telling what that doctor will do to you."

Tynes smiled, thinking she understood the introduction, but there were still a lot of extra syllables. "Helloo, Ah" She smiled at her new friend named Ah. She was so excited to have a friend that she began to chatter in her native tongue that roughly translated to "I'm so happy to have a friend in here. How are you feeling? Did they hurt you?" Towards the end her facial expressions had turned to a concerned look and then to embarassment when she realized the other girl now couldn't understand her. Lathlanian was a very fluid language, much like elven in nature.

"Wha-," Shadow said, confused at this odd language. "No, I'm not Ah. I'm Shadow. My name is Shadow. Can you try to say 'My name is Tynes,' just to start?" Shadow was trying to make the words as simple as possible, but it was difficult. She hoped Tynes would understand.

Tynes looked puzzled but she understood the word "no" and "not", so realized she had gotten her new friends name wrong and furrowed her brow slightly. Thinking through what the girl had just said she tried repeating it. She pointed at the girl, "name Shadow" and then to herself "name Tynes". Smiling, she hoped she had gotten it right this time. It was exciting to be learning but Tynes soon realized it was going to be a slow process. They needed some visual aids, maybe that would help speed things up. She grabbed some tiny sticks that had broken off from the tree limbs and arranged them in the grass in the shape of two people. One was her and one was Shadow because she wanted to know where Shadow was from. Pointing at herself and then to one of the figures she said, "Lathlani" and then proceeded to point at Shadow and then to the other stick figure and tilted her head.

Shadow was glad that Tynes got it right. "Good," She said with a smile to show her what it meant. Shadow then observed her actions with the sticks and realized what she was supposed to do. She pointed to hers and said, "Earth, here." She pointed to the ground as she said this, trying to show what "here" meant. This would be a slow process indeed, but at least some progress was being made.

Alina couldn't help but be disappointed; she missed most of the flames, more impressively with an injured arm, but that was precisely what ruined her otherwise flawless performance. Perhaps she hadn't gotten that much blood... Or, maybe the previous tests just wore her down. No matter what the reason, it didn't seem like the Aswang could go any further. Alina could continue to push her, but she saw it as pointless. It wouldn't be fully testing her, and because of that the research data would be flawed in her eyes. Flawed research data would not be allowed, it wasn't up to standards.

Writing down what she had observed, Alina pushed down a button, this one being an intercom, "Guards, come and take the Aswang out of test room three." she simply said, deciding to leave it up to them or another scientist as to whether her wounds should be taken care of, or if she could even go outside. Looking back at the Aswang, it seemed like she learned her lesson well enough, but of course was still not to be trusted... Though some sympathy was excused. It would be expected that the burns hinder her, but seeing how well she did in the course... Again, this was up to the guards or someone else.

Hayley braced herself when she saw the doctor who was testing her reach for another button, thinking that it would be for another test. She let out a silent sigh of relief when it was only for the intercom and small smile broke onto her face but it quickly disappeared when the guards entered her room. She watched them warily, tensing up the closer they got closer to her. The guards quickly approached her and roughly grabbed her and started to drag her from the room. When they touched her arm she let out a short scream of pain because they had hit her wound and, even though she strangely felt no pain from the burns themselves, the pressure on it simply shocked her more. The guard which had grabbed her burn quickly pulled his hand back in disgust at the feel of it, the blistering wound now bleeding and oozing a little, and wiped off the blood and ooze which was on his hand. The other guard, who had not touched one of her wounds, chuckled quietly at the other, causing the latter to smack the back of his head with a glare then grab Hayley's shoulder tightly and push her forward but she didn't fall because the other guard was still holding her other arm.

The guards then led her out like this, one holding her arm roughly and the other holding her shoulder tightly. Hayley was forced to limp the entire time because she could not put any weight on her wounded leg. Despite the lack of pain she felt, it was still very weak and couldn't support her well. She was surprised when the guards had her walk right past her room, and not enter it, she started to walk to it but they just pushed her forward. "What are you doing? That's my room…" She told them as quietly as possible, the only reason they were able to hear her was because of the silent halls which her voice bounced off of. "You're not going in there." One of the guards simply said the pushed her forward.

As they walked, Hayley was looking all around them, at all the rooms they passed, through the windows and even past some of the testing rooms. She shivered slightly when she had to go past the ones which were being currently used, the sounded of the experiments being done and the pain of the creatures who were being tested on resounded through the doors to her. She always tried to go past those rooms as quickly as possible, except one. She recognized the voice of this creature, it was Genni. She subconsciously slowed as she tried to look through the windows to her friend. She was able to see Genni, his eyes closed and clearly in pain along with another boy, this one seemed to be around her age who was beside a lion. Hayley's eyes widened and a concerned gasp left her lips without her notice, "Genni!" She shouted, hoping he would hear and know not to give up, he just needed to become too weak to go on and they would let him go, "Don't give up!"

When she yelled the guards both pushed her roughly to shut her up and she was not paying enough attention to herself to be able to stop herself from falling onto the cold floor with a groan. She layer still for a moment before the guards painfully pulled her back up into a standing position. They forced her past the room which contained her friend and on until they reached the doors that led to the courtyard area. One guard opened the door as the other shoved her out, making her face plant on the ground. She groaned loudly at the pain of her burns on the dirt but the guard just kicked her once on her leg's burn they they left. Hayley simply stayed where she was, to exhausted to move at the moment.

Shadow was happy and smiling which meant the the girl with silvery lavendar colored hair had gotten it right, which mad her happy too. It confused her to learn that Shadow was from the same planet they were on. Why would people form her own world treat her like an outworlder? Of course Tynes had assumed that all the creatures were from other worlds so that theory had just been proven wrong and a small frown appeared on her lips. The commotion at the door to the courtyard caught the Lathlani's eye, watching as the blood sucking one was pushed out, kicked and then left there to suffer. Tynes felt bad for her but then part of her felt the girl had brought it on herself. Not to mention that the thought of getting up to help the injured creature was out of the question. The last interaction Tynes had with her didn't go so well. This time whe would steer clear of her until things were proven otherwise.

Once the guards had left Hayley out on the field, they did not fully leave, one stayed inside, watching all the creatures and assessing her movements while the other had gone to fetch the remainder of her punishment for drinking from another experiment. When he returned, three guards entered the field once again and approached her. Hayley saw them coming toward her and forced herself into a sitting position so she could keep an eye on their movements while staying off her injured limbs. "What are you doing? Get away!" She cried hoarsely and tried to push them away but it was no use, they outnumbered her and, in her injured state and after being exhausted from testing, they were stronger than she also.

Two guards walked over to her and hoisted her up by her forearms as the third attached a metal device onto her face. It was then wrapped around her head, completely covering her mouth while leaving her nose clear so she could breathe. With this device, she would be unable to eat or drink unless a scientist or guard removed it- preventing her from eating or drinking from another person. After they had strapped the device onto her, they lazily dropped her into the ground and exited the courtyard to their positions guarding the area. Hayley slowly sat up once they had left and immediately tried to pry off the muzzle but this only cause her to be shocked by it. She quickly dropped her hands and looked around for someplace to sit. Seeing that no one was there, she made her way over to a medium sized rock with was close to where she believed Genni was being testing and leaned against it in hopes that she would be able to see her friend.

Tynes watched while Hayley was rough handled by the guards, a strange metal muzzle being placed on her face. She understood he purpose of it but at the same time, felt bad for the girl who was obviously in a lot of pain from whatever testing they had just put her through. It made the girl mad to see another so mistreated and for a moment the leaves and sticks that were on the ground began to pick up, swirling around in the air in between herself and Shadow. Tynes brown eyes turned to an ice blue and began to get a faint glow to them as did the creases on the palm of her hand; her fingers outstretched. The wind around them picked up and the leaves in the tree they were under began to twist in the air. Her powers were tied to her emotions because she hadn't been able to get a good sense of control over them yet. When her hair swooshed, tickling her face, Tynes realized she needed to calm down or she'd be the next one taken inside. Closing her eyes and clenching her fists, the girl took a few deep breaths and the air around them settled back down. Tynes looked to Shadow hoping the girl wasn't afraid of her now and then pointed to Hayley. "Earth?" she said, wondering if her new friend new where the girl was from. Not that it mattered but it made the Lathlanian feel better knowing the minor details of things now that she was able to partially communicate with someone.

Florencio's head poked out of the pond in the courtyard. It was nothing compared to the magnificent kingdom back home, being shallow and only deep enough for him to fully submerge himself laying down, at least before these 'humans' defiled it. Still, he'd rather be rebuilding it to it's former glory than be here, being mere experiments with the rest of these inferior creatures. He watched them, mentally pointing out their flaws and feeling glad that none of them belonged to him. Apparently he was the only one of his kind here, something that made him happy because no one else in his kingdom suffered the same fate as him, but at the same time, he couldn't help but feel lonely... The other races couldn't possibly compensate for companionship.

Noticing a disturbance in the courtyard. Sitting up, he watched as the guards forced one of the other species to wear a metal device over her mouth, and recalled what happened earlier, "Oh," he said to himself, although it was out loud, "how glad am I to not have to rely on the blood of inferior creatures. I don't even know where one would get the taste for it."

Hayley's head suddenly rose at the sound of a new voice, one she hadn't heard before. Because of the previous spectacle, jut about everyone was whispering about her and the extent of her 'punishment', this thought then caused her to subconscious bring her hand to touch the device around her head and small shock to exude from it at her and a blush to creep onto her face at the attention she was gaining from everyone. She shook her head slightly to hopefully disperse the red which filled her cheeks then she looked around to find the source of this new voice. Many of the creatures quickly looked away as her eyes met theirs but she simply ignored them, she knew them, or at least of them considering the fact that she rarely talked to the others who were here. Even though the voice was quiet, she had heard it due to her enhanced hearing.

Hayley's gaze only stopped when she saw another boy, she did not recognize him much other than a vague remembrance of the aquatic creature. She looked at him curiously, having heard his comment about her 'meal' earlier and studied him for a moment, trying to figure him out.
