Background: Dorian was raised one of the farthest planets, one of many soon to fall afterwards. Due to an impoverished life, Dorian grew up self reliant. In training, he was a bully. Though this stemmed from a sense of 'the strong live and the weak die' mentality. Something he never quite go over.
Though he will work with a team of other Spartans, he's been known to express violence towards Marines and ODST--having had an ODST test him once, left an impression on him. In battle he's fearless and at times, reckless with his own life. Though this is not entirely without incident. He's killed numerous Sangheili, and Mgalekgolo. He even wears the Mgalekgolo helmets as shoulder pauldrons, of which he tore off after impaling one with an energy pike and ruthlessly stabbed another through the 'neck' with a zealot's energy sword. Though his most prized trophy is that very same zealot's skull which he keeps fastened around his waist.
The Headhunters are a covert group of SPARTAN-III special operations squads. Only SPARTAN-IIIs who had survived two or more specially assigned training missions would be evaluated for induction into the Headhunters. Once an overall list of potential candidates was compiled, each soldier's personal files and mission reports were analyzed against a set series of parameters calculated by top Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) specialists. Once selected, candidates were separated from their fellow SPARTANs and were shipped to a special training facility on the far side of Onyx. After three months, the soldiers were broken into four two-person teams. These teams were chosen through a series of detailed evaluations and an intense interview process meant to devise the best possible pairings between members of the group. For the next two years, the Headhunters would go through seven months of supervised field exercises, followed by six months of real-world wartime insertions. These SPARTAN-IIIs would then perform missions far behind enemy lines and would likely die in combat. At the height of the program there was a maximum contingent of six squads - six teams with a total of seventeen soldiers rotating in to fill gaps when one or both members of a team were lost.
The Headhunters wear more advanced armor than typical SPARTAN-IIIs, including motion sensors, energy shielding, VISR technology, and a prototype Active camouflage module. The active camouflage system can only be sustained for three to five minutes and diverted power from other systems while it recharges. This active camouflage system may not have used panels like normal SPI.
Personality Profile: As previously stated, he is a Headhunter. This has led him, and many like him, to gratuitous violence. Both towards his fellow Marines and towards the enemy. Uncaged, he wrecks havoc. Though he shows no signs of collecting human heads, his most prized possession is a Zealot class warrior's skull which he tore off in their fight. Violence is home to him, it is his safe place. Where most would dream of better days, he can only exist in the here and the now.
