Oh, and Crystal Scorpion, you might want to work on splitting your writing into paragraphs. I loved the post, but with it all in one block it made it a little more difficult than usual. Just a suggestion and I mean no offense. I hope that any of you will also tell me how I could improve my writing. It is the reason I started doing this in the first place.

Oh yes! I agree with Potatocat, it was most difficult to read ^^'
but still a great entry none the less c:

Keep in mind that with my Irish guy's Combat Controller job, it'd be best to befriend him. Or something. He's weilding the superfirepower, so if you're in a rut, he may be more likely to call in a couple gunships to guard your location, than just tell the nearest mechpilot "Hey he's down, take your time and all but make sure to stop by and check up on him"

I would remember though Oddsman, that due to the secrecy of the mission and the group, resources are limited so those dropships and support attack type units won't be easily replaced if they are to be lost.

Which is whyyyyyy he will remote control them when they get cllooosssseee. I am taking inspiration of the Combat Controller from a book I read, where Combat Controllers were the guys that kept communications and called in fire support and stuff. I'm really putting the stuff that a single infantry soldier had on a mech, so don't say it's overpowered.

If you would allow me to make up some air support vehicles:

'Wasp' Shuttle/Dropship [For infantry and infantry airsupport, will also probably serve as a munitions carrier]
'Shrike' Inter-atmospheric Strike Fighter [For heavy airstrikes, like bunker busters, carpet bombs, etc. These fly up real high and only come down for ordnance drops]
'Firefly' Gunship [Escort for the Wasps, these have some good anti-armor weapons that'll chew up buildings, armor, tanks, mechs, and people.]

Let's say, hmm, 8 Shrikes total, 12 Wasps total, and 7 Fireflies?
That way we can also bring in infantry teams working independently, so that we have groups to protect, or reinforce in case they get holed up in a building, and are pinned down.

I could make some ship types, if you want. Like the freighters and cruisers and frigates that are up in orbit that we operate from.

I think that would be cool, but it is dunruffle's decision.

I read the whole being stripped infront of the brothers thing and was like, "Whaaaat?!?!"

I do hope that my post is more legible now. And I take no offense, I always enjoy constructive criticism that will enhance my writing capabilities in order to make everyone's experience better

@The Oddsman while I appreciate the enthusiasm you have to realize that the whole point of the group is to allow the GG total deniability if the mechs are discovered. It would be hard to pass them off as awol pilots if they had air and ground support fighting alongside them. The most they may get is a drone to perform recon. Sorry

Edit: and they are operating from a single frigate. Not part of a battle group. This is like a black ops team from hell. They are not to be noticed and if they are they are going to be killed before anyone finds out they are from the GG.

That's fine.

I also just want to point out that while this is your roleplay, try not to make your character too overpowered. You have no idea about any one of our characters' strengths, and, say, Jodie might be able to take him down in a couple minutes, because she may have been a black belt in karate and a halfdozen other styles, and knows what nerve clusters to hit to cause temporary paralysis. The same with most everyone else.

An unkillable, perfect soldier is no fun. Perfect is very bad for writing.

Lol lars is anything but perfect. So far he has had the element of surprise on his side. He is basically like a viking berserker. Big slab of muscle, uses brute strength etc.

Alright, so Oddman, you could fill more of the commander role offering the rest of the team tactical options and information to aid them, especially since I assume our squad leader, being a homicidal psychopath, won't be the best tactician. At the very least, Wolf won't trust his decision making.

uh.
p.s.
Jodie does know karate.
and the body. (medic)
and how to shut yo self down.
so yeah.
warning.

But you know what she doesn't know? How to do be mean.
She can be emotionless yes, but never mean xD
and how to do technical things. Like mechs and wires, etc.
OH and she also doesn't like apple pie, ewie.

Yeah, I assumed he was meant to be intimidating. Come off as extremely powerful, which he is, but make himself seem more threatening than he is. Big part of the reason Wolf insulted the last group so harshly after hearing Lars was able to kill all of them without his mech. lol
