Musicals. Formal. Exams. Graduation. They all passed and Roman was officially done with high school. He had graduated with a very good ATAR score and had been accepted into the art school he had wanted, and now, he and his wonderful boyfriend had a free summer together before they went to Melbourne to start the newest chapter in their lives.
London was nine months pregnant now and it was clear that she was ready to pop at any moment. Roman had rejected parties and outings with his friends on the basis that he knew his twin needed him there when she was in labour, and he wasn't going to miss the birth of his niece or nephew. It was currently Christmas Eve -- though, it was still the mid afternoon -- and Roman and Evan were far too invested in this UNO game.
"UNO ... I win," Roman said happily as he finally put down his last card, throwing his hands up in victory to bask in the glory of having beaten his sister's boyfriend.
"Though, I couldn't have done it without my loyal Samuel," he crooned, cupping Samuel's face in his hands and planting a succession of kisses to his cheek.
"Roman?" came a small voice.
Roman looked away from Samuel to see London, who was sitting between her twin and her boyfriend, sitting with both hands on her huge stomach and saucer-wide eyes. Roman frowned, not getting it at first, when suddenly London winced in pain and leaned over her stomach.
"What's wrong?" Roman asked frantically.
"My ... my water broke."
