And so our travelers moved out, following the trail. Angus had taken the time to arrange with the shopkeeper protective gear in the form of warm jackets and goggles. 'Snow flare' was his concise reason, but it turned out to be a good idea. Moving off as the storm continued, eventually the party came to a pass....Where a body in the middle of it, buried up to his hand would be seen.
It was their only warning as the snow burst out from the sides and the roars of Grimm echoed out.
Creeps. Lots of them.
A little hampered by the snow, but not so much as they charged across the snow at the party.

"Dammit, should have bought some of those snow tires..."
Lavi grumbled out as she pushed Arachne onward through the snowy plains, struggling to get its legs out of the snow as she went. Normally, the spider wouldn't have any sort of trouble traveling such terrain, but that assumed it was not purposefully being slowed by its master herself to keep close to the group. With the lack of the bounding and speedy motion it was normally used to, the weight of the behemoth was causing its legs to sink with the extra time spent with each step.
"If anyone wants hot cocoa, I'm pretty sure I can rig something up in here..."
The offer was more to take her mind off the arduous process she was enduring, but it was at least there for the others. She felt sorry for them as they also climbed through the snow. Unlike her, they did not have personal heaters and quilts to keep warm through this climb, and she couldn't fit them in with her. Well, maybe one or two if they're flexible... Or maybe I can build some personal heaters for them to take on missions?
Wait, what the hell is that?
The perplexed expression that went along with that question was replaced by a vicious smile as she realized the source of the howling. With a twist of her wrists, her precious baby was once again on top of the snow and would no longer sink as it did not have to slow itself for the others.
"Come on, lets take these Creeps out! We've got a test to finish!"
Darting forward through the snow, Arachne swerved about as it began to spray the beasts with small caliber rounds. It wasn't much if any damage, however, the goal of being a distraction was hopefully being accomplished as she attempted to keep the beasts' eyes on her. The others could take the opportunity at any moment to deliver the blows needed to kill the bastards; she was having too much fun playing her part.
