((You made the 500th post! ^^ By the way, if you want to you can fastforward till he gets back from work, if there's nothing you've thought that they are going to do or something.))

Kiera smiled at his answer, nodding slightly. It was good that it paid good, she thought, looking at him thoughtfully and relaxed some again.

(( Awesome. :D and okay! ))

After the few hours passed, Galen left for work that afternoon, worried about Keira but hoping that she'd be fine alone in the home. He didn't get back until the middle of the night (around one in the morning) and sighed as he opened the door, his house dark except for being dimly lit in the kitchen. He shrugged off his jacket, figuring that Keira was asleep by now.

Keira was asleep, but instead of lying in her bed, she laid underneath it, on the floor. She was slightly curled up facing the wall, lying as close to it as she possibly could. In the living room, the screen of the TV was a little damaged as the remote had been thrown at it. The remote laid on the floor, a bit damaged, too.

Galen didn't notice the TV yet since he hadn't really gotten a good glance at it and because his mind was on Keira. He went to her room, opening the door and turning on the light. But she wasn't in her bed. He frowned and looked around the room before going to look in his own. She wasn't there either but he remained calm, even though he really wanted to panic. He went back to her room.

"Keira?"

Waking up hearing Galen's voice calling her name, she opened her eyes, although she remained silent. She crawled towards the opening and peeked out from under the bed. Seeing that it was Galen, she crawled back under the bed, keeping an eye on where he was.

Galen looked around the room, hands on his hips as he searched every corner carefully. And then he heard shuffling from under the bed and he let out a quiet sigh of relief. But he knew Keira usually only hid under the bed when she was scared or upset, so he slowly and carefully knelt down next to the bed and lifted up the sheets, looking under and spotting the woman he had been searching for.

"What are you doing under there?"

Keira looked quite scared as her eyes met his. She growled slightly and moved as far away as possible, being as close to the wall as she could. She glanced towards the doorway before looking at Galen again.

"Keira, baby. What's wrong?" Galen asked, worried now as Keira looked absolutely terrified. "Come here," he motioned with his hands. "What's wrong? Talk to me."

Keira growled again as he motioned with his hands, and stayed where she was.

Did Keira not know he was Galen? Had she fallen asleep and woken up in some sort of nightmare? Or was she just angry at him? Upset? He had no idea and he was starting to get worried. He didn't want to leave her alone.

"Keira... come on, it's me. Galen," he tried. "What's the matter, hun?"

Keira still looked scared but at least she didn't growl at him this time, only looking at him with a worried gaze. She looked almost like she was thinking, but didn't say anything.

Galen was about to give up but Keira looked different this time, so he knew he was probably getting to her. "Come here, Keira. What's wrong? Why are you hiding under there?" he always kept his voice soft in situations like these, not wanting to scare or upset the woman any more than she already was.

Keira watched him carefully and listened as he spoke, tilting her head slightly when Galen had stopped talking. She glanced towards the door for a moment before looking at Galen again, slowly beginning to crawl out from there.

Galen backed up a bit to let Keira crawl out from under the bed with ease. He stood up then, waiting for her to speak or whatever else she was going to do.

When Keira had crawled out from there, she stood up, looking at Galen. She had bruises on her arms and plenty of wounds as she had scratched herself.

Galen looked over the woman and bit his lip to keep from frowning. "Oh, Keira..." he said softly, his eyes roaming over all of the bruises and scratches. "Why did you do this to yourself, huh?" he asked as he slowly reached out to touch one of the purple bruises on her arm.

Keira looked quite worried as Galen reached out to touch her, but let him do so even though she flinched a little when he touched one of her bruises.

"Why won't you talk to me?" he asked softly as he met Keira's eyes, still holding onto her arm gently.

Keira looked away slightly as he met her eyes and then looked at his hand on her arm, then at his eyes again. She looked thoughtful and opened her mouth a little. "Not talk... not good", she said.

Galen let go of her hand and sighed, sitting down on a chair in the room. "What's not good?"
