"This home situation ain't cutting it for me. I'm gonna fucking be somebody."
[BCOLOR=transparent]Jessi sat in her 6th period, tapping her fingers in anxiousness as she waited for the bell to ring. The last thing she wanted to do was be in school right now. But with everything that was going on with her parents, she didn't wanna be at home either. So much conflict in one girl's world. Constantly being under so much stress wasn't good for anyone, but it definitely wasn't good for Jess. Especially with her "disorder". There were only three things that kept Jess going in life. Two of those things were actually people. One being her brother Chris, bless his soul, and her best friend Robi. The third was, of course, marijuana. But we won't talk about that now. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Yeah, Robi and Chris were always Jessi's number one supporters. Why she kept fight[/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent]i[/BCOLOR]ng to do better, to be better. For Christian especially because he would have wanted Jess to be something more than a punching bag for her parents to break down until she was nothing. She wouldn't have that.

[BCOLOR=transparent]The bell rang and Jessi sprang up out of her desk, bounding for the door so she could find Robi. She put in her headphones and walked down the hallway, a smile on her face to keep her dark thoughts at bay. She stopped to say hi to a few people on the way to her locker where Robi would most likely be. A big bright smile came to Jess's lips when she saw her best friend. The girl walked up to her and hugged her tight, as she usually did when she saw her. Just a little something to let her know how much Jess appreciated her. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]"Hey wonderful. Let's get out of this hell hole." Jessi smiled and started for the student parking much lot with her best friend. "So, where do you wanna go or what do you wanna do for the rest of the day?" Jess asked before trailing off to ogle at Alison Prescott. Jess bit her bottom lip as she looked at the blond girl. "Lookin' good Alison." Jessi winked at her, causing Alison to giggle and blush. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Despite all of her insecurities and trouble she had making friends most of the time, Jess was definitely a huge flirt. She even caught herself lowkey flirting with Robi sometimes, but usually shrugged it off as friend love. She didn't really know if she'd had romantic feelings toward her best friend, it just wasn't something she thought about all the time. Key words: all the time. [/BCOLOR]

6th period was such a god damn drag, the lesson felt like it was going to be on forever. It didn't help that Robi's teacher was droning on about god knows what for the past forever, some stupid thing about the american revolution or something. It's a shame really, Robi used to really enjoy history, but now she just didn't give a damn. Well, she did, but it was just hard to concentrate and learn. Plus, the last thing she currently wanted was to be here another minute, preferring the refreshing idea of escaping and hanging out with Jessi for a while. That was always fun, one of her main reasons for carrying on and waiting, just for the hopes that one day she, with Jessi's help, could make something of herself, but more importantly see her friend… yes, her friend, do well. That was always something she had to remind herself of, they were only friends.

Robi couldn't deny she may have wanted more, but Jessi was just a flirt, she probably didn't feel anything for her at all, since Jessi would only rarely even play flirty with her, where she would near always do it to many of the other cute and hot girls of the school. But it didn't matter, she could deal with her feelings, not wanting to ruin anything at all. All she had to do was look down at her arms, knowing what was hidden under the clothing, to remember what would happen if she screwed up stuff with her one true friend. She wouldn't do anything to ruin this; to go back to being nothing more than the anxious mess known to skip lessons in the bathrooms with blood and metal, who no one really cared about. No, she wouldn't. She couldn't do that to Jessi. Robi knew most of everything Jessi had been through, her brother and her parents and everything, she couldn't do anything to hurt her like that. That was one of her main reasons for carrying on, for Jessi's sake.

No, she couldn't be thinking this, and luckily her quickly darkening thoughts were halted by the saving sound of the bell, ringing into her ears and pushing a sigh of happiness from her lips. She quickly stuffed her stuff into her bag, rushing out of the classroom and hastily getting to the lockers; mainly because she wanted to give herself enough time to fix the slightly running eyeliner from where her thoughts had brought tears to her eyes, not crying, but close.

Luckily, she was fixed up just in time to get a nice loving hug from her best friend. She quickly met the embrace wholeheartedly, enjoying the grounding sensating that Jessi gave her. Jessi reminded Robi that there was at least one person there for her, and that whilst they were with each other, neither would have to deal with problems alone. So, that's why she followed happily, falling into step to the side, and maybe ever so slightly behind, Jessi. After all, Robi wasn't one to lead, simply to follow.

"Hmm… Maybe we could go get Ice Cream?" She suggested timidly to her friend as they walked towards the parking lot. "I mean like… If you want to do that. We could do something else if you preferred though?" She suggested, not wanting to accidentally irritate Jessi somehow. Deep down, she knew she wouldn't, but she couldn't help it, she just had to make sure.

When Robi saw just how Jessi made Alison blush though, wooing her so easily, she couldn't help the pang of jealousy that sprung up in her stomach. But, they were friends, that's all she was, and she was happy with that, it was so much better than a lot of other stuff she could have right now. As she walked with Jessi, the thoughts of what could be found her rubbing at her arms once again, fingers tracing over the lines underneath to remind her what the alternatives were.

They eventually got to Jessi's car, and Robi quickly swung into the passenger seat. Yeah, she had her own car; okay, she didn't, but she shared with her parents, which just made it easier if Jessi picked her up for school and generally drove her places. Jessi didn't mind, or at least Robi hoped she didn't. Oh god, what if all this time, she had just been irritating Jessi. "Um, you don't mind driving me around places, do you?" She asked timidly, once again, like usual, vocalising her usually made up fears.
