"Oxford... Cool." Caroline nodded, and then thought about Miami. Thoughts of spy shows, porn, and other various media surrounding Miami filled her head. "I don't know. I don't like beaches. Sand gets everywhere. And I don't like the East Coast. It rains too often. I know it doesn't rain in Miami but... I don't know never mind."
Walking up to the counter she laid everything down on the counter. The clerk began to scan everything. It was totaled up to thirty-seven bucks, "Uh... oh right shit. I.D?" The clerk seemed to wake up from his high slumber.
"No problem." Caroline had done this a hundred times before. Confidence is the key. She reached for her back pocket, fumbled around for her I.D. but failed to find the piece of forgery. Muttering curses under her breath she said "I don't have it on me. Can I-"
"I don't want to get arrested yo. The po-police busted the fella a few blocks from here just the other week." Taking the bottles under the counter he re-totaled everything. "I'm sorry love, my job ain't worth the ten bucks. Sixteen twenty five."
Caroline tried to choke down the retorts and sighs, something inside her really wanted to have access to those ten-dollar escapes. If you looked into her eyes, you could almost see the look that A-Average girls get when they fail an English paper. There's probably enough booze in the car already. Shrugging it off, and returning to her dull self, she turned to Onyx. "Let's go back, there's enough poison in the car already. They're probably waiting for us too. You know how boy is."
