Project: Einherjar (OOC/Characters)

I think I'm going to wait for a description on the enemy before making any combat posts. Though she'd be right up there with Randall attacking, I'd just rather know OOC what we're dealing with before I start firing.

Well, starting to shoot at long range is fairly benign, so I felt fine posting that.

It's mostly because my character's never fought one before, I'd like to get a chance to fluff reactions to how it looks before I open fire.

And here is my new and improved character sheet! I hope this one jives better with the story~

Name:
Arstagio Dorian Beaumont

Nickname(s): Art, Gio, or Dorian

Age: 24

Job: Mechanic/Assistant

Appearance:
steinsgate07-12.jpg
Background:
Arstagio was among one of the many children born into the second generation of Asgard's creation and has spent his entire life on the colony, only having ever seen Earth from a distance though never having a chance to go there himself, though Dr. Jones often regales him with tales of the blue and green planet. He was born in the upper ring of Alfheim and for all intents and purposes lead what most would consider a normal life; he had parents who cared about him, a bike to ride on, toys to play with, and everything seemed to be right with his world...that is until his 11th birthday. He received the gift of a small radio on that day, and while normally this wouldn't be anything one might consider special, its what happened with the radio that came as a shock to his parents. That night, his father found the young Arstagio in the family garage tinkering away at the radio with his tool set, claiming that it had suddenly stopped working. With a chuckle, his father had helped him put the small device back together, but upon turning it on, he discovered that the radio was now picking up stations that were being broadcast clear across Asgard...something the small toy shouldn't have been capable of.

From that day on, the boy seemed to show even greater signs of intellect and mechanical skill, things that might have seemed normal for an adult, but for a small child should have been beyond his reach...and so he was quickly taken into high end science programs by the end of his grade school years. During this time, he grew to be an incredibly reliable mechanic and became heavily interested in Einherjar research and development after hearing a speech delivered at his academy by none other than Dr. Jazz Jones, one of the head scientists with Yggdrasil. Enthralled and inspired by the man's enthusiasm, Arstagio sought Dr. Jones out and offered his services as an assistant to the professor; normally such an offer might be turned down, but his academic record and achievements in both robotic creation, maintenance, and repair made a strong enough case for the good professor to accept the offer.

Its been two years since that day and while he can often be found run almost ragged keeping up with Dr. Jones and his seemingly boundless energy, he genuinely enjoys his work with the professor and works hard every day in honing his skills behind a wrench and screwdriver; counting the day he was allowed for the first time to preform a repair on Elsa herself as one of the best in his life.

Personality: For a man of science, Arstagio lacks the usual hallmarks of eccentricity within his field, often coming across as rather calm and composed in his friendliness, this in contrast to Dr. Jones' usual exuberant nature. This isn't to say that he doesn't have quirks, especially when it comes to machinery; even mentioning the subject around him is enough to inspire a passionate interest and input from the young man that sometimes even borders on obsessive. It is fair to note that despite his love of Einherjar and their inner workings, Artsagio suffers from a severe case of Acrophobia and therefore prefers to keep his feet firmly on the ground at all times; though if the situation calls for it, he can reluctantly push himself through it, albeit at a snails pace.

Name: Kilo Helmsiit
Age: 45
Appearance: Combed-back, dark hair, slightly larger teeth than most, manic, nervous expression.
Background: He is your average office worker from the midwest in charge of mail delivery. But this was not always so. He has lived an interesting life working as a child actor, popcorn vendor, army ranger, chemical weapons specialist for the FBI, and after being forced to resign in disgrace from the FBI, a weapon smuggler. But he left it all behind to live a quiet life and became a family man. But when the Guana killed his wife, and Project Einherjar took his daughter, he knew he had to do something. The Guana attacks left much of civilization in shambles, and much information was lost. He used that to his advantage to get a job running the mail office for Asgard. Now, he doesn't know if his daughter is still alive or dead, but he intends to find her and find out what secrets lay within the Einjerhar Project.

I keep forgetting this one. Kilo's cool, if you're still interested in playing.

And @ReaperOfFlames, that's definitely a character who'd fit in just fine. If @DaCageFighter is cool with having an assistant, you'll be good to go.

I don't really have much to add other than "ok, you get back inside and stuff. You've got some free time, so go do whatever." Which is...less than useful.

Maybe we just need to time skip past retrieval, to a semi-debriefing, then them being let loose.

That'll work. It's a bit late tonight, but I'll get on it tomorrow morning unless I'm beaten to the punch. And as far as a general plot or the like goes, I'm always open to suggestions.

Well, I'm not sure where to take things again, as far as my own input will go. The pilots are pretty much on their own to do as they please, and I could set any scenes on the station or elsewhere, but I don't mind if someone else does. It's a big place, I don't need it all to be just so.

I definitely could do something for the scientists, to show them their lovely new research samples. That's all I've got, though.

The Scientists would definitely love to see those new fantastic research samples!

Hm as for the pilots, who knows what they'd like to do. Well besides the pilots.

I think Zaphira's internet is out, or... something.

And I was in the middle of a conversation with Chloe, too. Not sure what to do about that.

I'd just wait. It won't hurt any.

Yeah, it's not. And I've been pretty bad about keeping things busy myself. I think I may be in that sort of thing where I'm much more interested in playing games than running them, sadly enough.

Hm, I'd say just move on to another scene, or I could skip some time and set some stuff up. I really don't know if I have much to contribute other than more big monster fights unless I put together a couple other characters for everyone to bounce off of. Which I certainly could do.

I am not gonna lie, though. I'm never that great at planning and running games, and this is no exception. Still, doesn't mean, I'll just give up and let it die if there's interested folks and I can think of something to do with it.
