Office Romance

Kieara got out and went over hugging him. She'd been in such a hurry that she'd forgotten to change. She hugged him. "I'm glad you're ok too."

"I'm fine," he said hugging back. He looked around. "I'd suggest we go shopping, but that guy said he'd have people keeping an eye on me."

Kieara frowned. "I'm sorry I got you drug into all this." She said to him.

He shook his head. "No way, don't apologize. I'm alive, so it doesn't matter."

Just then a knock came at the back door. Mitch smiled and opened it, relieved to see his friend, panting, but alright. "Thank you Gary," he said, pulling him in.

Kieara was relieved to see him though she was embarrassed for Gary to see her scars on her arms and face. She subconciously crossed her arms trying to hide it but to no avail.

Gary glanced at her a little, sighing and looking at Mitch worriedly. Mitch shook his head, an unspoken conversation going between them. He sighed a little, then smiled. "Hey, how about some lunch?" he said, smiling at Kieara. "There's some girl clothes in a claset in the hall if you want to change, Mitch, don't be a pervert," he joked, trying to lighten the mood.

Kieara smiled. 'I'd appreciate it, thank you." She spoke and headed off.

Gary grabbed Mitch and led him into the kitchen, making sure she couldn't hear. "Are you dumb?" he asked, shaking Mitch. "That guy could've shot you Mitch, then what? They'd probably find out more about you and then come after me, your family, my family, her, dude!"

Mitch smacked him, "What? You wouldn't have helped her?"

His friend sighed, "I guess you're right. Still... This is getting a little risky. You guys probably can't even leave town now, not even leave the house."

Kieara got dressed in some jeans and a long sleeve then returned.

Gary and Mitch were making sandwiches, neither one talking. Mitch looked up when she came in and smiled, "Hey, if you want a beer or something, Gary has plenty in his fridge." Gary smirked a little and nodded to her.

"Thank you but no thank you." She said softly as she sat down.

Mitch frowned a little. "You sure? You should drink something, at least water," he said, placing a sandwich in front of her. He smiled encouragingly and sat next to her.

Kieara smiled a bit and nibbled on it. "Thank you." She said.

Gary sat down and leaned back in his chair, eating his own sandwich. "So roomies, you can't leave the house, what're you going to do?" he asked, smiling a little.

Kieara hadn't the slightest on what to do. She looked to Mitch, after all, this all started with him.

Mitch shrugged a little, munching his sandwich. "Probably hang out and go through your movie supply."

Kieara couldn't help herself. "No pornos please." She said teasing and laughed.

Gary laughed gently and Mitch pretended to be disappointed. "But what else will we watch?" he asked playfully, laughing a little as well.
