Irokei Iniji
(Westernized - Iniji Irokei)

Hero Name:

Skycolor
[空色]
[Romaji Pronunciation: Sorairo]

Age: 14 years old
Birthday: December 24th (Capricorn)
Height/Weight: 5'4" / 120lbs

Quirk:

[Heterogeneous Vivisection]

Iniji's quirk allows him to deliver ranged slashes along the boundaries of two different colors anywhere within visual range. This ability also granted him a special form of vision that allows him to determine these trajectories more easily.

The strength of the slashes are determined by three things:
1. The contrast between the two colors, the greater the contrast, the more powerful the force will be.
2. The clarity of the boundary. A clean and easily distinguishable boundary will produce the strongest force, a gradient or murky one will dampen the effects.
3. The motion of the target. Objects that move at high speeds have their colors blurred, thus hindering the effects.

Iniji's vision is highly stylized, the boundaries or "outlines" of everything are extremely exaggerated to him. This is a double edge sword and continues his greatest weakness: motion detection. Sudden rapid movements or lights can cause great pain to his eyes, and even his brain. The amount of slashes he can unleased is dependant on his stamina and quirk mastery, he describes using them as "like swing a sword very hard, it gets exhausting sometimes."

Personality:
A bit of the dark and brooding type at first glance, it's easy to assume Iniji is somewhat of a loner with a severe case of chunnibyou. His strangely colored eyes, coupled with his tendency to stare (due to his vision) often make him seem unsettling, his assassin-like quirk does no favors to that impression either. But in reality, Iniji is actually a very honest, nice person who just happens to space out a lot. He loves thinking, but often drifts off into daydreaming, or actual dreaming. He is troubled by his unsettling appearances such as his eyes and scars, and tries to hide them so he seems more approachable. His decision to become a pro hero stems from his desire to not be seen as "aloof and dangerous", though the image he is starting to sell isn't really what he had in mind, which is why he always seems to lack confidence when talking about the decision.

Iniji is mostly calm and collected, and even if he does panic, it doesn't show on the outside. It's less of an act and more of his inabilities to show his feelings to others, which can cause some social friction. Even though he's not too good at communicating, he tries to show his affection towards others with intricate papercrafts made using his quirk. Despite being somewhat airheaded in little things, he shows very good judgment when it comes to long-term goals. He rarely shows or even talks about his quirk to other people outside of training and emergencies, most know that his quirk can send long distant slashing attacks, but not much else, including the color restriction.

Background:
The Irokei family never had any pro heroes, most likely because their quirks, though flashy, aren't too useful in combat. Iniji's parents were a florist and a fireworks technician, whose first two children inherited their gentle, artistic personalities, and quirks. His older sister, Aniji became a popular pop idol "Kirakira☆Sorairo-chan", while his brother, Ryniji hosts a children's television show "Niji no Clues!". When Iniji was young, he was a bit quiet and socially awkward, but he looked up to his older siblings and always tried his best.

Iniji never expected to have a dangerous quirk, neither did his family. When his quirk first awakened, he sent two deep gashes around his lip that remained permanently scarred. Due to his injury, Iniji couldn't talk much and was often bullied in grade school. He was ostracized by rumors that he can't control his quirk and "can slit the throat of anyone wearing the high collar uniform". Although his family was there to support him, Iniji understood that it would be difficult for him to live a life free from those judgments. He decided to work towards becoming a pro hero by applying to U.A, which his diligence and rational judgment landed him in, to the surprise of his peers. Though he never had a great experience with school life, he wants to believe that people who aim at becoming pro heros would be more accepting of those with "dangerous" quirks and opted to live in dorms.

Name: Kisaragi Mika 如月美香
Age: 16
Personality: Mika appears to be a stereotypical gyaru - loud, brash, crass, flashy, ditzy. It's not all an act. She really is quite absent-minded; but she's also intelligent, kind and generous. She's all about the extremes. She likes her boba tooth-achingly sweet, her mabo tofu face-meltingly spicy, her guys ultra buff or super cool. She'll give you the shirt off her back if you let her (and she doesn't care who sees her leopard-print boulder holders) but she'll cut you like a bitch if you act like one.
Background: Mika's Quirk manifested quite subtly, and so for a long time it was thought she was Quirkless. It was only in middle school that her teachers realised that the dreamy, absent-minded girl could generate EM radiation. This came as quite a surprise to her parents, who were normies to the point of caricature. All of a sudden Mika was different.
She'd never felt quite right about being part of the normal flow of life, and discovering her Quirk set her free in ways beyond the Quirk itself. It seemed to turn a switch on in her head - she understood now that she didn't really much care what people thought of her, so she could just be herself and do whatever she wanted.
Which was, apparently, to be a gyaru.
Of course, she's actually a little bit more introspective than that. She feels like she ought to be a role model for kids, to show them that what's important isn't what society thinks of you but what you can do for yourself and the people around you. That's what heroes should be - the best version of themselves. And that's what people should aspire to, rather than being beaten into a mould.
Which is how she finds herself applying for - and wonder of wonders, being accepted into - Yuuei.

Quirk: Spectrum - Mika is able to sense, generate and manipulate electromagnetic fields. The most dramatic application of this ability is her "Left-hand Shot", named for how she literally uses Fleming's Left-hand Rule and induced Lorenz forces to accelerate a small ferrous projectile to velocities in the vicinity of 2,500 m/s (approximately Mach 8, or hypersonic). She carries a little bag of ball bearings for this purpose, which she can also use for other applications, including as a simple sap. When she wants to go more subtle though, she is also capable of reading and controlling electrical signals, for example those of RFID or credit card mag strips. She also gets great mobile reception and never wants for wi-fi.
Weaknesses:
While her Quirk is potentially very powerful, it is limited by a couple of factors. Firstly, she isn't intrinsically immune to the forces that she generates; while she can balance them with her power, it requires precise and careful control to make sure that she doesn't, for example, accidentally blow her own fingers off while performing her "Left-hand Shot". This tends to put a cap on how much force she can generate, and how quickly she can perform different tasks with her ability.
SAIAecondly, while she can tap into and manipulate EM spectrum signals such as wi-fi, she has the neural bandwidth of a normal human being, if a somewhat gifted one. She's very intelligent, but she can only handle so much information at a time. She's thus normally dependent on a device such as a smartphone or laptop to process the data. So she can boost signals, or jam or warp them, or other such relatively brute-force applications, but (for example) editing herself out of a video feed would be beyond her capabilities.

Fumihiro Ito
Hero Name: Mountain Ram

s-l300.jpg

Gender: Male
Age: 16
Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Green
Height: 5'10
Weight: 165 lb
Birthday: April 8 (Aries)

Quirk

Name: Goat
Type: Mutant

Fumihiro's quirk is similar to other animal mutant quirks. This quirk alters the characteristics of his body to be similar to that of a goat. The following characteristics that he has are:

-Horns growing towards the back, which has not only hardened from his flesh but has turned darkish brown in the process.
-Stronger lower jaw, meaning he can slightly injure his upper jaw if not careful when eating.
-Legs and arms being skinnier than most humans, though that does not mean it is physically weaker.
-Fingers and toes stick together more often, though he can break them apart if need be.

With the quirk, Fumihiro had developed a few new techniques while studying his quirk. These techniques are something he can use that would help him in his journey of becoming a hero. These techniques are:

Quadrupedal Movement: by getting on both his arms and legs, Fumihiro can run on all four like most quadrupedal animals. And in this form, he can run faster than he can on two legs, making this the ideal movement to use when in a hurry. His jumping is also enhanced, jumping up to nearly 30 feet. While on all four, he can access some of his special techniques depending on the circumstances.
1. Charging Headbutt: By charging at a high speed and using his horns for the impact, Fumihiro can attack objects with the force of his head. Thanks to his horns, most of the recoil is ignored and can deal heavy damage to a person and can break down stuff with ease, such as doors and walls, though heavier and reinforced doors will take more effort to break down. Using it too much might lead him to be dizzy for a minute or two until he can recover.
2. Back Kick: By using his legs, Fumihiro can kick other things if they are behind him. He can also use his legs to kick off from something after running for a bit and give him an even higher boost when jumping, up to 60 feet. He can even use this to give someone a boost either up a few floors or a boost of speed towards a certain direction. When a person is hit by a fully powerful back kick from Fumihiro, they are knocked down and dealt with a painful blow that could cause them to be stunned for a few seconds. Of course, using it too much will drain him of his energy.
3. Mount: Thanks to the muscles in his body, Fumihiro can allow a person to sit on his back and take them places with no repercussions. By using his head, he can knock a person off its feet and place them on top of his back, allowing them to mount on that way too. Although the heavier the person and/or the more people on him, the slower he goes, so he'll need to watch how much weight he's putting on his back. Max weight he can hold before he starts slowing down is 250 lb.

Of course, there are a few more weaknesses to his quirk than the ones listed above. For starters, he cannot swim, as if he tries to jump into a large pool of any kind of liquid, he would begin to sink quickly. He also has to eat a certain diet or otherwise he would get mildly sick from it. A few examples like garlic or caffeinated drinks.

Personality

Fumihiro is one of those people who seemed to be a chill guy when you meet him. He's very relaxed in conversation and is open to others about his hobbies, which involve music and writing. His love for those hobbies was something that helped him get through a rough patch in his life and has always been something he would do when he has free time. Writing is his new hobby, but he's slowly starting to get into it, even writing down notes about important things he had learned, such as a person's interest or something on the news. And for music, he always has his headphones around him, whenever it be on his neck or on his ears. and he enjoys listening to pop and rock genres.

He's also outgoing and doesn't mind meeting new friends, even goes as far as to help those whom he doesn't know or even has some kind of resentment towards him. If you are close to him, he even allows you to touch his goat horn, despite goats normally being aggressive about it. It shows that by touching his horns, he trusts you. He also likes to join in on other's conversations sometimes and enjoys playing all kinds of games with other people.

While in combat, Fumihiro tends to be a bit more aggressive in battle, always making the move when it's necessary. While he might act recklessly in battle sometimes, it doesn't mean he's stupid enough not to take notes of his surroundings and use them to his advantage, but he normally intends not to get himself in a battle he can't win. He always values teamwork in battle before going off on his own unless his anger overtakes him, but even then, that would take effort since he's normally chill and relaxed.

Background

Fumihiro had a normal, yet enjoyable life growing up in the higher elevation of town. Being raised by two loving parents can do that to a child and Fumihiro is nothing different from that. At a young age, he enjoyed swimming in rivers and in pools and always wanted to be an Olympic swimmer one day. At the age of 6, his quirk began to manifest and soon began to notice some physical changes within him, with a horn growing and his legs and arms being more skinnier than usual. He learned out that he had obtained the quirk that granted him goat capabilities, which he thought was dumb at first, but it was something he kinda liked when researching more about goats.

However, the disappointment of the quirk soon appears when he couldn't swim anymore due to it. This lead Fumihiro into a state of sadness where his dream was dead because of the quirk, which he soon thought of being a curse. His parents tried to support him with whatever dream he would go next. One day, while the family was out on a walk, Fumihiro noticed one of the billboards was about to fall and a child had injured himself from falling, with no time left, Fumihiro charged in there and saved him by knocking him on his back. To this day, Fumihiro was remembered for potentially saving a young boy's life and since then, was something that sparked something in him...

...Being a hero.

While his parents were unsure about him going into the hero department, they did wish to support him with whatever he'd go for next and tried their best to make sure his quirk was ready to go for the UA test and with proper training, succeeded in the test, becoming a student within UA high and wishing to become a pro hero just like the rest of the others hero and hoping to make a difference in the future with his skills. Even if he doesn't have a special quirk that makes him stand out like the rest, he can still try to do something with the quirk he has.

If you have any questions about anything relating to my character, please let me know through here or DM. If you have no further questions, well SAIAnara then.

FrozenDreams I love how simple yet unique Fumihiro Ito's quirk is, and he has a dashing personality, welcome to UA :]

Kiane Rainne Breez Scirocco
The Tempestuous Aviator Hero: Detective Bluebird
sample_393f07564ff4e7b3f211eb53cba69c01.jpg

  • Age: 27
    Weight: 122 lbs
    Height: 5'7''

    DOB: Jan 24th
    Birthsign: Aquarius
Nationality and Language: American/English, Japanese, Italian, Russian

  • Featherstorm
Kiane's feather is what helps her control air. As does her very breath. She cannot use her Quirk with feathers that are not her own.
At first Kiane had a single feather. However right now she has 9 noteworthy ones, with a box of "other feathers". Feathers grow downwards off the back of her shoulders; where she has 3 growing on each shoulder. (It is very difficult and takes a very long time for her to grow even one extra feather). If a feather is ever destroyed, then her ability to control air is negated. So, her feathers are kept protected.

Her feathers can be destroyed. It depends on the feather for how easily destroyed it is. However none really possess that much defense with the Divine Feather and Tempest Feathers being the toughest and stronger against different damage types. Strong quirks can easily threaten -or even destroy- her feathers. Burning-type damage, in particular, is strong against her feathers, and is basically her weakness.

Touching her feather without permission, or snatching her feather will fill Kiane with feelings of impending doom and dread. She'll become fearful, upset, and paranoid if her feather isn't returned right away. Threatening the feather works wonders against her mental state.

She has a few unique feathers.
    • Prime Feather: The very first feather Kiane had. Grown with her in her mother's womb.
    • Divine Feather: A unique feather grown by Kiane when she mastered her quirk in the last year of her hero training at school. Makes using any of her techniques and air-control easier compared to other feathers. (The one she currently uses.)
    • Tempest Feather: A unique feather grown by Kiane after her husband was murdered. Her anger and rage bloomed in this feather. This feather is as tempestuous as her feelings that day, allowing her to easier use Thunderstorm-like effects.
    • "Wings": Her extra 6 feathers growing off her shoulders. Backups if the above three are destroyed. Regular feathers with no unique properties.
    • Box of Feathers: A box of feathers that Kiane periodically plucks. She keeps these "just in case" she needs them.

    Emitter
Kiane's primary Quirk power is controlling air. She can stir up winds. Noteworthy techniques are listed below.

    The Breath
Kiane's breath is strong enough to cause a strong wind. And in conjunction with her feather it creates powerful winds that she easily manipulates. Her breath can also freshen the air nearby and is strong enough to blow away smoke, toxins, or other such negative things in the air. Kiane can typically breathe such things, too, and her body automatically ventilates and cleans the air.

    Air Sense
Kiane can "feel" air and wind. She is capable of knowing when wind will blow. Typically she can determine the wind's strength (or thereabouts). She knows the various persistent winds that the Earth has, like the easterlies and westerlies.

    Atmo-spheres
Orbs made of dense wind. Used as "wind bombs". Can also condense water into them.

    Cloudburst
A technique where Kiane "blows up" with condensed air (cloud-like air) that bursts out from her. Not particularly damaging, but leaves the area clouded by fog.

    Drafts
Kiane's typical application of her quirk. Simple wind creation and control.

    Cloud Creation
Condensing water vapor in the air, Kiane is capable of creating cloud formations.
After which Kiane can manipulate the temperature or condensation of her clouds. Making chilly winds. Ice. Hail. Rain. And even lightning if given enough time to form Thunderclouds, and she focuses enough. The Tempest Feather helps her create Thunderstorms easier, but she doesn't usually use it. Unless she's going after a particularly dangerous foe.

    Flight
Self-explanatory. Kiane can whip up winds around her strong enough to carry her body through the air.

    Tornado Armor
Kiane's body doesn't boast any notable defenses. In the split-second of attacks hitting her, she enwreathes herself in wind to soften blows or divert the energy of them. She'll use wind to cushion herself. Or wind to blow away attacks that would hit her, like fire, or knives, or other such things, etc.

    Zephyr Fist
A fighting style developed by Kiane. Enveloping her limbs (fists, kicks, etc) in wind, she's given more propulsion and power behind her strikes.

  • Personality:
Kiane is independent and headstrong. She's a bit of an overachiever. She takes initiative, and won't back down when she believes she's right, or when she's focused. This mindset bleeds into her teaching and how she interacts with others. She's pretty no-nonsense, but doesn't go overboard with discipline and, other than in extreme circumstances, has never allowed herself to be overcome by anger. She's not the type to act without reason or cause, but will jump head first into danger when need be. Good attitudes, and good work ethic tend to be rewarded by her. But she does find criticizing easier than complimenting.

Kiane's always had to struggle with the storm within her heart. She's chosen to temper it, hone it. Use it for herself. Weaponize it against her enemies, as opposed to be consumed by it. She has a stigma against love, spurned by something tragic in the past.

    Bio:
When Kiane was born, there was one feather with her, surprising the doctors and her mother. Turns out, this feather was a part of Kiane's quirk.

As a child, she played with that feather relentlessly. Always tossing it around outside, chasing it on the wind, and sniffling with it enough to make her sneeze. At first it seemed strange, but her parents never questioned it. At some point, a local neighborhood boy saw the small blue-haired girl running around after a feather; it caught this boy's attention. He ran out after her and snatched her feather out of the air. This immediately made Kiane distraught and upset. Her parents attempted to help, but it wasn't long before she and the boy began playing together with the feather, as he didn't mean anything wrong.

Then around age 6, her quirk manifested. It became clear that it was no longer the natural wind that was blowing around her feather, and was instead the girl herself. She and the boy played with the feather more. The game was "keep away." Using wind, Kiane kept her feather out of reach of the boy. This was their favorite thing to play.

Throughout school Kiane would constantly keep her feather aloft. During school hours. During tests. Always. This honed her control long before she entered a Hero school. Together with the boy, who at that point had become her best friend, they joined a hero school in America. This was around the time when she officially set aside her "Prime Feather" - as she was calling it.

It was tough on her to do so, because the Prime Feather had been with her since birth. It was like a friend. Like a sibling. It was apart of her. But she knew it was dangerous to keep using that feather. And by now she knew she was growing feathers, so she simply hid it away and replaced it with another feather.

Her worry turned out well-founded. As that feather was quickly burned away in some exercise gone wrong. Resulting in her having to pluck another feather. At that point Kiane realized she needed to keep feathers ready to replace lost ones. So, she readily plucked feathers periodically, placing them in a "box of extras". So far she hasn't really needed to use the ones in the box, and the amount gradually grows.

As hero school continued, the tests and missions and trials gradually grew harder and harder, always testing the blue-haired girl. Eventually, rising to the occasion, she felt something new. The "spark" of strength, welling of power. She reached back and plucked a uniquely shaped feather. She could feel its "power". Kiane would dub this feather the "Divine Feather" and it would become her default feather to use with her quirk. Afterwards Kiane began to stand out considerably. At the end, she was among that year's top students. During the school year the boy became her boyfriend. He was impressed by his girlfriend's power, and felt slightly inadequate as he gradually fell behind in the school year. That didn't mess with their relationship, though.

Right out of hero school she married her boyfriend and took a job as a fledgling pro hero. It wasn't long until an incident occurred. In which she royally screwed up resulting in the villains getting away and the death of hostages. One which was her husband. Kiane had always secretly battled a storm within her heart. So far she had managed to keep her fury continued. However when her husband was murdered it exploded out of her completely unfettered. For the second time in her life, she felt a unique "spark". She reached back and plucked her second (or I guess) third unique feather. Which she aptly named the Tempest Feather. A feather that swirled with her anger, that was imbued with the storm that once raged in her heart.

The villains that killed her husband and the other hostages escaped. Kiane made it her life's mission to hunt them down. She took classes on how to investigate crimes, and then joined the police force and became a Detective.

Kiane's investigation brought her close to finding the villains who were responsible. Scared they ran away. On the trail of the criminals, she followed them across the ocean to Japan. Where she joined the police force there. Due to her strength, she was also recognized as a Pro Hero by Japan. And even hired part-time by UA as a teacher. Her subject is English and language, but she also likes to spritz forensics and investigative skills into her teachings.

    Equipment
    Kiane's Aviators:
Made with a specific tough material that makes them far harder to break than normal glasses. To protect Kiane's eyes in flight.

Half-Chestplate Armor: Beneath her suit, Kiane wears a lightweight mesh covering that protects her upper chest and her shoulders and half her back. It's there to primarily protect her growing feathers. Makes her upper chest deceptively tough.

Thaleko Your brilliance in creating this character absolutely "blew" me away! I welcome our first teacher to UA!

  • Thank You

hehe yay, thanks!

@Solar Soarfell
Out of curiosity, how many people would we need before starting?

Tiguidi Thank you for asking, I have plans to add at least 15-20 people to the rp, within the next day or so if no one else joins then the IC will start, today I'm creating forums for people who would like their characters to live at dorms, as well as giving people the option to have villain roles :)

I second that. Though what do you mean creating new forums? Are we going to have multiple threads? And how do we apply for villain roles? @Solar Soarfell

To chime in with these two I'm curious or apprehensive to some of this and the details it entails, but I'm happy to assist depending. Plus playing a baddie is a time honored tradition of mine.

i dont think we need that many peeps tbh, just a dedicated number to rping their student, maybe a villain or a teacher and thatll be good :)

Yeah... that many people means it's hard to keep up a coherent narrative, and the pace of play will be either glacial or all over the place, with players who can post more often getting all the limelight.

Yep yep, agreed with the others on the people thing, this format and site in general don't support huge player amounts so 15+ is an extreme stretch, both in terms of just gathering that amount of players and maintaining them. Honestly 7-8 is perfectly fine.
